Our handmade shamanic drums from Indonesia are crafted with goatskin hide and come in various styles, including medium painted, plain or painted tribe drums, and large shamanic drums. Each drum includes a wooden beater but can also be played by hand—larger drums offer deeper resonance, ideal for beginners. Used by shamans for meditation, yoga, healing, and spiritual rituals, these drums not only look unique but also produce distinct sounds you'll hear in a quick tutorial that shows you how to play.

00:00Here I have some shamanic drums from Indonesia.
00:04All of them are made from goat's hide.
00:06And so this one is our medium painted shamanic drum, and this is how it sounds.
00:26This one here is our medium tribe shamanic drum.
00:29The back is actually a bit different than this one.
00:31This one is rope, and this one is actually tied with the hide, and this is how it sounds.
00:49It does have a very different sound, and I also think unpainted is probably better, but
00:54we do have a painted version.
00:57It sounds exactly the same, and it's made the same way and the same size, so don't
01:01need to play that one.
01:03And this is our largest shamanic drum.
01:07It's rope on the back, and as you can imagine, it's the loudest.
01:12And actually, because you have more room to play, you can actually get a lot of different
01:17sounds out of this one.
01:20So starting at the edge.
01:25Straight away, you get a lovely resonance, and you could imagine playing this around
01:34a fire, which is traditionally how they would do it in shamanism.
01:39I can hear the vibrations coming all around the room because of the resonance, and I'll just
02:00do it like this, just so you can hear it better because the microphone is positioned over there.
02:18And that is our shamanic drums.
02:22Oh no, it's awesome.
02:31I can hear it than now.
