00:00Hotwave, a brand that I have already tested, often these are smartphones that we call
00:04Rujetphone, you know those famous smartphones that can fall, that you can take on
00:09a workplace, and when I say workplace it can be in the building, etc.
00:13But also when hiking, simply in the mountains, because they are smartphones
00:17quite robust with big batteries, very often it doesn't break the bank in
00:22technical terms, but in any case it can help if you are hiking and lost
00:26in the mountains, etc. We'll see what it's worth, it's the new Hotwave Hyper 7.
00:30I thought why not, it's been a long time, it's gone.
00:56I thought why not, it's been a long time, it's gone.
01:05Okay, it's been a while, here we go.
01:10Here it is, here it is.
01:39There you have it, with a huge LED on the back.
01:42As you know, Rudget Phones now have these LEDs on the back that can be used as a flashlight, a torch.
01:48Well yeah, they have such huge batteries that they can afford it, actually.
01:52Well, we're going to find the design of a Rudget Phone, that is to say with a lot of plastic around it and a fairly substantial weight.
01:59On the top, we will find a microphone.
02:01On the bottom, we will find a microphone for the speaker.
02:03We will have, behind a cover, everything that is USB type C.
02:07I have trouble removing it, by the way.
02:09USB Type C.
02:10On the side, we will find the nano SIM card drawer.
02:13We will have a button for it, we can simply dedicate a function to it.
02:17On the right side, we will also have the volume buttons, the image shutdown button which acts as a fingerprint reader.
02:23When you see the thing, you say to yourself, there, it's pretty solid.
02:26I think, and I haven't bothered to do it again, slamming the phone on the ground and all that, I've already done it in my previous Rudget Phone tests.
02:34If I have to do it every time, I think I'll spend half a day on it every time.
02:39Because, remember, the first Hot Wave, precisely, it was put in the washing machine, but it was put in the dishwasher.
02:45It had been in the freezer, it was frozen in Sprite.
02:48In short, it had suffered and it continued to function.
02:50And it's still there working, by the way.
02:52So, what can we notice about this Hyper 7?
02:56You will notice on the back that there is a small LED that plays along with the music.
03:01Yeah, it's a little extra option, it's pretty nice.
03:04We will say that what is most important is the technical sheet that we will see later to see if they have improved on that side.
03:10Because, in terms of resistance, we already know that it does the job.
03:13We set off for a quick general tour.
03:15We'll find Bluetooth 5.3 LE and Wi-Fi 6, which is still pretty good.
03:19We will have 1810STD certification.
03:23You know, the famous military standard for protection.
03:26You're going to have 5G.
03:29Well, here we go for the general round.
03:305G, the reception is perfect at the equivalent of an S25 Ultra, an S15 Ultra.
03:35It obviously often depends on the operator.
03:37In any case, in terms of communications, it is true that the person heard me, that we could hear the surrounding noise.
03:42But my voice was not attenuated.
03:45The thing is, that's not the principle of this kind of phone.
03:50There, as I said, it's for hiking, etc.
03:52But in any case, I could hear the other person on the other end of the line very well.
03:55Bluetooth-wise, I was able to connect it to the car without any issues.
03:59It hasn't been disconnected.
04:00With headphones, I had a range of 10-12 meters.
04:02There was no crackling or metallic vocals, nor any cutouts.
04:06In terms of Wi-Fi, I had download rates that were frankly very good.
04:09And the delivery rates were very good.
04:11We were almost at the limit of my fiber line here at home.
04:15So there you go, that does the job too.
04:17Now regarding the speaker, that's a bit of a disappointment.
04:19There is only one.
04:20It's quite powerful, it must be admitted.
04:23But only one speaker, so the sound is a little shrill.
04:27It's a bit of a shame on that side.
04:28But hey, it's that kind of phone.
04:30We're not here to play disco either.
04:32Although there is the little equalizer that moves.
04:35It's quite nice.
04:36But with just one speaker, that's it.
04:38As for the OS, we are on Android 14.
04:41We will have a year, maximum two, of updates.
04:44Safely, I speak.
04:45OS, I'm not sure.
04:47This is often what we get on this type of phone.
04:49However, there are some pretty cool little toolboxes.
04:51Well, they're not abandoning artificial intelligence to touch up photos a little.
04:57Yeah, I noticed that there was that.
04:58That's nice.
04:59And of course, it's equipped with Gemini, etc.
05:02So frankly, there is still a little work to be done on that side.
05:05As I said, there is a toolbox.
05:07In this toolbox, you will find quite a few little things.
05:10A barometer, a compass.
05:13You will also have something to turn on the flashlight and send SOS signals.
05:18Or simply turn on the flashlight, sorry, when you need it at night to find your way.
05:25In short, these are little toolboxes for people who go hiking, as I said.
05:29Or a toolbox for working people.
05:32So, we know who this kind of phone is going to be aimed at.
05:36Now, there are some who will take this kind of phone also in terms of autonomy.
05:40Obviously, we'll talk about that a little later.
05:43But in terms of OS, it's still quite limited.
05:46A 6.6-inch Full HD screen with brightness ranging from 500 to 1000 nits.
05:52Yes, OK.
05:53And we're going to have 120 Hz.
05:55So, it doesn't break the bank, in terms of colorimetry.
05:58We are on fairly natural colors.
06:00We're not going to have bright colors.
06:02But still, it's quite surprising.
06:04Well, obviously, it's an LCD panel.
06:06Don't expect OLED.
06:07But it's still quite surprising that they thought of putting in 120 Hz.
06:10Because this screen remains fluid.
06:11You will be able to scroll without any problems.
06:13Obviously, you will have to choose automatic.
06:15Or you will have to set it to 60 or 120 Hz manually.
06:19But for me, at least, at 120 Hz, as I tested it, it remained fluid.
06:23It does the job, as they say.
06:24Surfing social media, surfing the internet.
06:27There was no problem on that side.
06:28Watching a video does the job too.
06:31In the end, I mean, it's nothing exceptional.
06:33But it's not bad either.
06:34Let's talk about what to do for an evening when you're camping.
06:37And it's raining, for example, outside.
06:39There you go, we can watch a short video on it without any problem.
06:41With the speaker being quite loud, it must be admitted.
06:45So, I advise you to put it in a certain way.
06:48Don't turn the sound up too high.
06:49But in any case, the screen, well yes.
06:51It just does its job.
06:52A Mediatek Dimensity 7050.
06:55Yeah, so for 5G.
06:57You will have 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM.
06:59And you will have 256GB of storage in UFS 3.1.
07:03This is the technical sheet.
07:05What did it bring out of me?
07:06Well yes, I still released a Bench.
07:07Because I wanted to know what it was capable of coming out with.
07:09Quite simply, I'm curious, as they say.
07:12And that gave me a score of 594,986 points.
07:15Yeah, well I was surprised.
07:17A small 600,000 points for a phone which, in the end, basically, we say to ourselves
07:21It's just for working or going hiking.
07:23Well, he still took that.
07:24And that means he's not going to let us go overnight.
07:27I mean, he'll still run his little OS quietly.
07:29and its small applications.
07:30In any case, in Geekbench, it gave me a score of 1004 points in single core
07:34and 2504 to multi-core.
07:36Certainly, it doesn't rock the boat.
07:38But at the same time, it doesn't rock the boat, it's an expression from my region.
07:42If you want, it doesn't break the house, if you prefer.
07:45But in any case, it's still a small score that will satisfy quite a few people.
07:49For people who go on social media,
07:51for people who use WhatsApp, email, etc.
07:53That's more than enough.
07:55It will do the job.
07:56And if we go to the GPU score, we have a score of 2338.
07:59That means it's going to run some cool little games.
08:02Candy Crush, Angry Birds, what else?
08:04Farm games, etc.
08:05I was told it was no longer fashionable.
08:07But hey, I prefer to quote him like that.
08:08And yet, I still managed to run Asphalt 9.
08:11And Asphalt 9 had loading rates that weren't very long.
08:14They were even quite small.
08:15The game is pretty cool.
08:16You can have a lot of fun on Asphalt 9.
08:18And that's pretty cool.
08:19And where I was the same most astonished,
08:21is that I was also able to run Genshin Impact.
08:23So certainly, with graphics, not weak,
08:26but just below it is very weak and weak.
08:29So for me it was low with 30 fps, but it was stable.
08:32And we could honestly play Genshin Impact
08:34with these cool little graphics.
08:37On the other hand, I had a temperature that was rising severely.
08:40So with low graphics and 30 fps, I was at 56 degrees.
08:45Temperature that you don't feel because the smartphone is huge.
08:48So we don't feel that.
08:49However, I played the fool.
08:50Yeah, I cranked the graphics to medium with 45 fps.
08:53So there, really to say at that point, you need a slightly more powerful GPU.
08:57There, I had 75 degrees, I promise you.
08:59So here it is, I advise you to play in very low or low with 30 fps.
09:03In very low, obviously, it will heat up much less.
09:06I was at 49 degrees.
09:08But at least this way you're informed.
09:10But it runs some games and that's it.
09:12And in any case, it didn't even eat up a lot of battery.
09:14So like that, I was surprised.
09:16Well, this isn't how you're going to become a photographer.
09:18or the latest Instagram influencer.
09:21I'd better warn you.
09:22I don't even have the technical specifications for the photos or the photo sensors.
09:26Why? Because we have 64 megapixels on the back.
09:29with an auxiliary sensor whose number of megapixels is also unknown.
09:33And on the front, it's 32 megapixels.
09:35That's all.
09:36That's all I can tell you.
09:37So I didn't get any more.
09:39However, what I can tell you is in use.
09:41It's still capable of filming up to 4K.
09:43Yes, there I was once again surprised.
09:45I thought, they thought of that.
09:46Okay, you're going to have a zoomed-in photo.
09:49Don't worry.
09:50There is a way to do that too.
09:51In any case, in selfies, we have tones that are natural.
09:54We are not denatured at the face level.
09:57We are not smoothed.
09:58We're on to something pretty clean.
10:00And that it is also at the level of the bokeh effect.
10:02He's not drooling.
10:03So, the little selfie and portrait, it stays clean.
10:06And that's nice.
10:07We're not going to spit on it.
10:08I couldn't take any macro photos.
10:10Because there is no macro mode.
10:11And at x2 zoom, it wasn't very pretty.
10:13In terms of night photography, we are dealing with something very basic.
10:17And there is no retouching in this night photo.
10:20So, this is not what you're going to use to take the best photos.
10:23However, if you just turn on the rear spotlight, we'll call it that.
10:26There you will have a much brighter area.
10:29But that makes her a little pale.
10:30So, I didn't post them.
10:32Because I simply deleted them by mistake.
10:34Yeah, I did that stupid thing.
10:36It happens to me twice that I do something stupid.
10:37But at least this way you've been warned.
10:38In any case, as far as zooms are concerned, you will be able to go from zoom 1 to zoom x4.
10:43I strongly advise you to stay on x1 or even x2 zoom.
10:48The x4 zoom has noise in the image and is a bit useless.
10:51But in any case, it will allow you to take photos of where you are.
10:55If you want to send him to help.
10:57To simply say help.
11:00Send a photo of one of the construction sites you are on.
11:04A global picture.
11:05In short, there is still a way to take some nice photos.
11:07But it's true that there are quite a few things to improve.
11:10As for the video.
11:11We have 1080p 30fps and 4K 30fps.
11:15I would have preferred to have 1080p 60fps rather than 4K.
11:19But they thought about it.
11:20It will make some great little souvenirs.
11:22A 1080p that has natural tones.
11:24There is no jerk.
11:25We're onto something pretty cool.
11:26On that side.
11:27A 4K 30fps that does the job.
11:32So.
11:32With natural tones.
11:33No jerks either.
11:34But like I said, I would have preferred 1080p 60fps.
11:38That would have been a little cooler.
11:39That's my personal opinion.
11:40We have a photo that is present.
11:42Who doesn't break the house.
11:43But we know why.
11:44We buy this kind of smartphone.
11:45In any case, it's for work.
11:46And certainly not to take souvenir photos.
11:48When you are in the mountains.
11:49More to take an overall picture.
11:51Or if we need help.
11:52A 10800Ah battery.
11:55An 18W charger is included.
11:57And it will take you 6 hours to charge it.
12:01I'm not going to lie to you.
12:02After 2 hours, I gave up on it.
12:04I didn't even look anymore.
12:05It's just super long.
12:07It's too long.
12:08So, that's really the stuff we're going to load.
12:10Before leaving for the weekend.
12:11I prefer to say it.
12:12We were over 2 hours.
12:14It was just super long.
12:16It is...
12:16So.
12:16But in any case, we have fire autonomy.
12:19Ah, that's...
12:20It's really the fuego.
12:21There, I can assure you.
12:22Without having used it.
12:24It's been 15 days.
12:25The thing was still on.
12:26So there, it was a sleep mode.
12:2815 days.
12:29There was still battery.
12:30When I tell you there was still battery.
12:31We were still at 40%.
12:32It's just indestructible.
12:33In use, with video games.
12:36After more than 2 hours of Genshin Impact.
12:38With crazy temperatures.
12:39There was still 80% left.
12:41I said to myself.
12:42Wow.
12:43We're onto something, though.
12:44Because there, we were in the 75 degree version.
12:46Where it sands the battery in all directions.
12:49So, I thought to myself.
12:50Anyway.
12:50And there I said to myself.
12:51Well, let's test the use.
12:54After 3 days.
12:55There was still 40% battery left.
12:56When I say he's a killer.
12:58He's really a pain.
12:58We have a processor that consumes little.
13:00Necessarily.
13:01We also have a screen that uses little power.
13:04And then, we are also limited to the number of things we can do with this smartphone.
13:07So, as a result, it allows for longer battery life.
13:10But in any case, I lasted a little over 3 days.
13:13Which is still quite exceptional.
13:14So, this is really the smartphone we're going to start with.
13:17On a hike.
13:18Or at work.
13:19Or things like that.
13:20We are coming to the end of this video.
13:21Well, it was pretty short.
13:22But these are small smartphones.
13:23But it's still pretty cool to do it.
13:25Because it interests a certain number of people.
13:26We are on a price of 323 euros.
13:29At 323 balls.
13:30You can't just spit on everything.
13:32Well yeah.
13:32It's true that he doesn't have a photo that's pushed to the maximum.
13:35And that could be improved.
13:361080p 60fps.
13:38A zoom that goes a little further.
13:39A macro, for example.
13:41It could be improved.
13:42We'll put that in the defaults.
13:44Besides that, I notice that they have made enormous efforts.
13:46A 120 Hz screen.
13:47We still have LPDDR5.
13:49From UFS 3.1.
13:50We have one of the last media libraries.
13:52Certainly, it is not the most violent.
13:54But we have one of the last media libraries with 5G.
13:57A good capture.
13:58In the end, 323 euros for a smartphone which, at its base,
14:02It's something that's just created to resist.
14:05And something that is created for construction sites, for hiking.
14:09And his strong point, he still has his strong point.
14:11It's crazy autonomy.
14:13Yeah, that, you have to admit, is crazy autonomy.
14:15You're going to tell me, that has a certain weight.
14:16This is the stuff you put in your backpack and not in your pocket.
14:19Otherwise, you will distort your jeans.
14:21But in any case, for the price, we are not robbed.
14:23This is definitely the kind of thing I'm going to think about taking.
14:26if I go camping, hiking.
14:28Well, I don't work on construction sites, so sorry.
14:30But I can recommend it to someone who works on a construction site.
14:33Quite.
14:33Whether it is a worker, an engineer, etc.
14:37It will definitely do the job.
14:39And at least it prevents you from damaging your smartphone.
14:42that we paid much more.
14:43Imagine a construction worker
14:45who saved up almost a fortune to buy, let's say, an ultra high-end product.
14:50Well, if he has some money to buy this kind of phone,
14:53This will allow him not to break his ultra high-end
14:56and not to cry all the tears in his body.
14:58And that's interesting.
14:59Now there are people who don't need technology
15:02and who just want a long battery life
15:04because they often forget to charge their phone.
15:06Well, you'll have to remember to charge it before it dies.
15:09Because otherwise, it's over.
15:10But otherwise, it's also the kind of phone that can be suitable for an elderly person,
15:15which may suit a person who, in the end, doesn't give a damn,
15:18who just wants autonomy.
15:19So, we can't really spit on this kind of technology,
15:22this kind of smartphone,
15:24because we know why we buy it in the first place
15:26and what it is used for, quite simply.
15:28I hope you enjoyed this little video.
15:29It was a little different than usual.
15:32The smartphone is also a little different from usual.
15:35Don't forget to give it a thumbs up,
15:36to tell me what you think about it,
15:38to subscribe.
15:39And hello!
