00:16tommy from undeath here yeah we're out here i'll do a great start we're out here in chicago

00:22uh what is this place called radius radius uh we're on the chaos and carnage tour it's a sick

00:30tour it's dying fetus cradle of filth flesh god apocalypse enable of scars us vomit forth course

00:36while seven bands every night it's the same uh it's been amazing so far down to the last week

00:42uh happy to be here uh running back with you all not much has changed in this van as you'll see

00:48you'll see a couple significant changes i guess but a couple uh small little tweaks here there i

00:53mean i have hair now uh that's that's about it but yeah let's uh let's take you in the whip see what's

00:58good latest edition yeah so this is one of the changes that we talked about uh we decided that

01:03this mirror was too good and we just smashed the out of it um because you know we don't really need

01:09to see out of it anyway yeah who needs to go left uh no we were playing a show in toronto a couple nights

01:14ago and we were in a sort of tricky parking situation and we cursed dock where we're not the

01:19only ones that got a little bit nicked on the way out yeah and i won't say who i don't want to

01:24embarrass me but a member of our band who plays the drums uh he uh smashed this mirror so uh we're doing

01:30doing the best of what we got right now it's honestly fine it doesn't hit our ability to drive too much

01:34but this is one of the new upgrades to the band since the last time you get a lot of you get all the

01:40different lights flashing your eyes when you're driving it's really nice yeah and that's that's

01:44the outside let's go check out the inside so this is the this is the flight deck um uh this is where we

01:51spend me and tommy spend most of our time we typically split all the drives up between tommy myself and

01:57matt our drummer um and you know we it's it's uh that's what i discussed in the previous installment

02:03it's kind of a vibe based system but uh i feel like on this tour correct me if i'm wrong tommy

02:08but i think we've regimented things out naturally a little bit i think everyone's kind of got their

02:13preferred spots these days times if you will uh alex is definitely a morning guy even though

02:18i'm not entirely sure you're a morning guy i'm not no i i definitely maximize i'm a bed maxer

02:24um but i once i get behind the wheel i'm ready to go first thing in the morning for at least three

02:29four hours he knocks out a good chunk of it and then by that time we're usually in shot of the city so

02:35matt takes over he's the best with the trailer he can move it around anywhere and after the show

02:40everyone gets tired or other states of mind so i don't tend to do that i just like to get to the

02:46hotel or wherever we're staying and drive so it's like you know probably between 45 minutes of an

02:51hour and a half for me night driving it used to be way longer it used to be like four hours

02:55yeah we got it blocked up really tight right now it's it's a good little system we have going here but

02:59yeah um this is the van uh not a lot has changed that's going to be the recurring theme in this

03:05episode have things gotten better have they gotten worse i don't know it's kind of up for the viewers

03:10discretion but on that special oh yeah half drank uh water bottles that's classic right there uh what

03:16else we got here i think this one was mine got like one sip left uh there's some popeyes we hit the

03:21popeyes before this uh before the show one of the worst i've ever been yeah it was not good um uh this is our

03:28power inverter uh these plugs these outlets work the usb outlets do not yeah so that's like a cool

03:36little feature um and all of our chargers except matt's which he left here he's going to ask about

03:41in probably an hour and 15 minutes don't fit in these things because they're too wide so you can

03:46kind of only have is and another thing plugged in at the same time so what i do is when i'm driving my

03:51big-ass wide charger i unplug this and i plug it in and within minutes somebody is asking me why the power

03:57is not so that's cool um something to look forward to every day yeah it's nice to have a little

04:02routine uh glasses wipes we got some dorks in our band um no offense uh present company excluded uh

04:12this is a champagne gift or cigar guillotine i think yeah you gotta cut we bought some cigars little

04:17stogies for the end of the tour and people already smoked them um got some used tissues classic uh that's

04:24kind of the math special right there um oh this okay this is sick um this is definitely a new

04:30addition i don't know if kyle wants to be showing this off but i'll give a little backstory here uh

04:35we were so kyle our or one of our guitarists uh he is a pipe aficionado he loves smoking out of pipes

04:43um he sort of fancies himself a little bit of a wizard and uh we had a running joke on our last tour that

04:49he should get a pipe pelican where he just had a dedicated space for all of his pipe stuff and i

04:54hope there's gonna be anything bad in here when i open it up so we're gonna do yeah okay so he keeps

05:00all his little pipes in a pelican and i think that's very cool um so that's great kyle's little pipes

05:06uh yeah shout out john um this is a box of crunchy raisin bran i think that's matt's uh yeah just got

05:15a bunch of junk in here got a big christ shopper bag full of snacks uh jared's mom actually delivered

05:21that to us in albany shout out to jared's mom um what do we got in here crave chili lime jerky delicious

05:28shout out to crave not a sponsor um unless this is an open bag of jelly beans that's just

05:36waiting to be spilled all over the floor of the van um this is an empty thing of macaroons i bet

05:43those were good um big ah thing of coconut water uh this will probably never get drank

05:50do you want it yeah i don't really want it either um oh there's two that's about it this is like a

05:55half-eaten bar of chocolate um that's that i forget what this is for oh i'll tell you tommy um this is the

06:04the uh the pbb right the piggy bottle thing um so we had this is another thing lore like fantasy

06:14lore come to life we had a joke for a while that we just have a piggy bank where we kept all of our

06:20loose change in and then if we have enough to buy a bottle of liquor at the end of the tour

06:23we'll use this we'll crack it open um and i think on the last tour we ended up having enough to get

06:30something it wasn't good oh yeah like a what was like two liter jug yeah like evan williams or something

06:37of shit but yeah um that's what this is for uh it's full of loose change right now i see a five

06:43dollar bill in here too okay we're on the right track um is there anything else of note up here uh i got my

06:51my yankees hat uh currently number one in the al east we'll see how long that lasts um we call this

06:57forum the mistake because if anyone pulls us over all of a sudden we have a pretty antagonistic

07:04relationship off the bat yep not thrilled about it but that's where it is um the upstate this says

07:09upstate in graffiti letters it's kind of cool um we're from upstate new york so that's a that fits our

07:16brand i guess um happy smokehouse st louis happy smokehouse st louis pretty good really good ribs

07:22i got a dog with sunglasses um there's a cat uh that's the cover of our second album it's time to

07:29rise from the grave that's a bucky's bumper sticker and i'll read it to you it says if it harms beavers

07:34we're against it and it's texas um i don't think we got that no but it's you know it's the cause

07:41that's even dear to our hearts we're really against uh so yeah there's there's all that there's a book

07:47up there tommy want to grab that book for me war stories war stories um i think kyle was

07:55disappointed with this because it wasn't like it wasn't actually war stories it was something much

08:01more boring seems like a kyle yeah this is a tome oh yeah i think he was actually happy about that

08:08uh this is about this dude i think his name is ravel uh he was a man and a musician um so sort of a

08:15dichotomous figure uh good french impressionism patrick j smith the editor of the high fidelity

08:20magazine says ravel man a musician is the first book to set the composer's entire

08:24oove in its proper perspective a staggeringly well-documented opus it cannot be matched for

08:32the invaluable particulars it provides so that sounds like a great book yeah um anything else up

08:39here tommy this is a little skull these cheez-its have been here for weeks yeah um not a sponsor i am

08:48a quite a lazy uh i guess dj when i'm driving i literally have a playlist that says tour and it's

08:55like 48 hours long when i press play and i don't touch it after that yeah for me i mean we do we have

09:02like a running thing in the band where we do discography runs of bands so even matt are mainly

09:06doing that and it's a good idea i just don't have the concentration it's just a good way to kill time so

09:11like for example matt on this tour is doing neil young so uh he's listening to every neil young album

09:17from start to finish he's not gonna finish it's getting pretty hard there's like gotta be upwards

09:22of 50 records in the 80s it's not gonna be pretty and i think he's passed all i mean shout out to

09:26neil young who's watching but uh all of the all of the old stuff is great and then it takes a

09:31nose dive and i think it gets sort of good again in the early 90s um so we do that i did blind guardian

09:37on this tour uh classic seminal german power metal band um started tool yeah i started tool yesterday i

09:45hit the opiate ep still bangs uh i got i think i got undertow tomorrow looking forward to that

09:52um shout out to the song disgustipated i knew i couldn't finish that it's a great record uh so

09:58yeah we do that i listen to a lot of discographies of bands and then besides that you know it's just

10:03it's the mood um if it's an early really early morning drive i'll just throw on like

10:07some japanese city pop type stuff uh you know maybe some some jazz some really easy listening

10:15stuff some lo-fi hip-hop type shit um yeah we just just depends on on the on the vibe on the overall

10:23feeling of the day um and then also this is an ocarina

10:27that's about it well you made it didn't see you there but this is the interior of our van

10:39this is probably the biggest change yes the last time now if you remember uh viewers of the previous

10:45installment of digital tour bus featuring undeath this bench was not here there was a camping mat

10:51laid down that we call the chill zone and i want to call out some bands here because that was the one of

10:55and then i saw some bands starting to refer to the air zone as the chill zone just don't forget who

11:00originated this term it was your boys all right where you came from yeah don't forget your roots

11:04other bands um no more chill zone though we got the front bench back in and the reason we did that

11:10is because this wouldn't fit in matt's basement that's the number one reason number two is on this tour

11:18um we are not rolling with a sound guy we're not rolling with a merch guy it's just the five of us and

11:23there's myriad factors as to why we did that but ultimately what it came down to is we just

11:27didn't really feel like we needed it um it's great having those things you know those guys yeah love

11:32john love uh zach love everybody who's worked with us um i'm sure we'll have them back in the fold at

11:36some point i hope so um but for this one we just wanted to try it out and just see if we could do

11:43a four and a half week long extensive u.s tour just us and uh you know we saw when we toured with

11:49hooplai con we saw that they did it they just had one guy with them and then it was just the band

11:53running everything and i thought that was great so that was very inspiring so we're giving it a shot

11:57and i think it's been working out very well so far um but yeah lots more space in the van for that

12:04reason um here it's more the same really in the front it's just different types of food and dust yeah

12:15oh here's one kyle's signature coffee uh bottle of sludge his little sludge thing here's the

12:22powder in which he makes the sludge yup and then he just drinks it out of that um this is my dark

12:28throne shirt that you'll see on stage tonight at radius in chicago um this is my backpack it has all

12:35of my stuff in it uh let's see what else we got this is uh somebody else's backpack this is a croc shoe

12:41uh this is mine there's uh there's more than our games yeah there's crocs everywhere this is a big

12:46uh thing of water that i took from the venue last night shout out to bands taking water from the

12:52venues even at the end of the night always get yours yes don't forget why these people are here it's

12:57because of you you know take your water this is my fanny pack um let's see what we got in here

13:03probably some treasures uh this these are folded up setless from this tour um i haven't used one since day

13:10three yeah i just i don't really need it at this point i just keep them to like throw out the kids

13:14because inevitably somebody's screaming at me for one um they ask me for picks a lot but i play with

13:20my fingers yeah i was saying that you should just uh clip a fingernail that's why we got the cigar

13:25cutter yeah i'm gonna use that a little bit later i've got three things that was in here sorry mom

13:30um tiger bomb for the bang over yeah anything else oh you know what you might recognize one of these

13:40blankets from the for the previous install oh tommy talk about this oh yeah so all the real plastic

13:46heads will know that when you're on tour you can't really do warhammer too easily so you gotta wheel

13:53and deal where you can i met a nice guy i can't remember his name i'm sure he's watching and he

13:59sold me this on the streets of quebec or montreal and i just met up with him right outside the venue

14:06right after i was eating lunch and came to the trailer and i was like all right what do you got

14:09and gave me these little baggies i'm sure it looked very suspicious when we're just like putting

14:13this on cars little bits little heads later so these are somehow going to survive until i go home in

14:22about eight days there you go um so you you might remember the puke blanket um you remember it's still

14:30here uh has not been washed probably since the last installment of digital tour bus featuring undeath

14:38but uh it still keeps me warm every night and i think all the same pillows are in here too they

14:43were for something now uh so we did have them over there before when there was more people we would

14:49just and we also had uh carabiners yeah and it connects uh backpacks to those and just kind of hang

14:54them that way they're not on the floor like you see they probably are right now oh no not right now

14:59that's what usually they are this is the cleanest the van has been in quite some time i don't know where i put

15:03my stuff yeah so uh but otherwise it's just i think kyle puts his glasses here sometimes yep

15:09sometimes we see keys up here but that was a shout out to our sound guy john sound guy john edwards

15:15um this was his idea i believe and he had him over there last time yeah but the the problem i run

15:21into with this is that i'm very lazy and uh when i get back in the van at the end of the night i don't

15:25really feel like fumbling with a carabiner in the dark so lifting it lifting it and then hooking it

15:30so i just put it in the aisle and then people get mad at me but uh yeah love you john hope you're

15:35doing good um this is et allen um he's gg allen's a strange brother he's got a little penis you can see

15:44right there um you got a bicycle yeah that's about it right i don't remember much else that

15:51a few different we got a bench in here new bench no more chill zone it's not quite attached solo

15:58dolo tour no sound guy no merch guy just the boys just the lats that's kyle's leather jacket

16:06let's see what falls out of here when i open it nothing great i'm not going to open this door

16:12because a hundred things will fall out but this is the trunk um this is my sleeping mat that i sleep on

16:17most nights because i'm kind of a fussy sleeper and i don't really want to share a bed with anybody

16:22unless they're like my wife so um and i toss and turn and snore so i don't want to disturb anybody

16:27i kind of just need my space that's a drum head this is a converse sneaker um i think it's jared's

16:33yeah this is jared's shoe um what size what size is he rocking 12 big ass foot um shout out to jared

16:41that's uh some 30 pound dumbbells which are probably used like three times a tour

16:47yeah that's the trunk although i don't have the new keys we did just break a lock two days ago yeah

16:53everything's kind of happening all at once so i don't think we saw the inside of the trailer last

16:57time i don't think so either so it's kind of a mess right now because we're loaded in and uh everything

17:03is kind of all over the place but this is it i mean we typically try to keep merch on that wall

17:09uh these are our head cases this is my clothes hanger that i'll hang my sweaty disgusting state

17:14shirt on at the end of the night uh somebody's suitcase that's a kick pedal thing we only diamonds

17:19everything but generally i'll like at some point it's either kyle me or matt i think because jared's

17:26doing merch these days and you're grabbing stuff and bringing it over yeah so one of us will be in

17:30here and just like get handed something and then go to kyle if you've spoken his pipe he'll just be

17:36out here hanging out and grabbing it yeah um i am the shortest one so i can just fit in pretty easily

17:42matt look at his head several times every time he's going to go fuck ow

17:50yeah so when we last saw you guys we were out with a band from richmond called it forced

17:57and they did something that i thought was so great where they had it's so simple i don't know why i

18:01never thought of it they had folding chairs and like camping chairs and they brought them to every

18:05venue and then when it was a nice day out like today they would just throw them down and crack some

18:09beers and hang out and it's like sitting in a stuffy green room uh you can be in beyond the elements

18:15with your boys so we've kind of been doing the same thing here it's chilling it kind of looks a little bit like
