00:00It's been a busy time down at Carrington over the last 14 months, and we thought to ourselves, rather than just talk about it, why don't we just open up our doors and give you a tour? So here goes.
00:12Flying through the gym you'll see the new high altitude room in use, where players can push themselves further than ever before, simulating exercise in the most extreme altitudes in the world, right here in Manchester.
00:23The pool area has had an overhaul, a new look, hot and cold plunge pools to maximise recovery, alongside a state-of-the-art HydroWorks pool which tracks every movement from our players, providing more data points than ever to help them improve.
00:41This corridor is where the players start their day, completely reimagined and purpose-built to align with the player journey, passing player care before entering their brand new changing room, where each player has their own bespoke timber locker, equipped with screens outlining their weekly schedules.
00:58We've increased the capacity too, from 25 spaces to 30, ensuring there is room for emerging academy graduates who establish themselves in the men's team.
01:07And as we leave the changing room, a dedicated hydration and nutrition space, connecting the players with a performance team based within the immediate area, building relationships and harvesting a performance-focused environment.
01:20Medical facilities are also based locally in the area, including an MRI scanner, something rarely seen in football training grounds.
01:28We wanted players to be surrounded by football, with visibility of the pictures present even in areas where players receive their preparation work before sessions.
01:37History is important too, with historical memorabilia curated regularly by our museum staff, ensuring players are surrounded and inspired by success to fuel their own story.
01:49A new state-of-the-art dining room for players and coaches awaits at the top of the stairs, with a spectacular view of the vast pictures of Carrington, continuing the theme of keeping football at the heart of their view.
02:04The lounge area, where players can hang out, featuring a driving simulator room and the infamous barbershop you've been hearing all about.
02:12Next up, just down the hall, is where you'll find Ruben, his coaches and analysis team.
02:17It's an open office, where all key decisions are calculated and made.
02:21Those decisions are then communicated to the team in here, a state-of-the-art briefing facility, for Ruben to pass on his tactical instructions and observations.
02:31Connection is key at the new Carrington, ensuring the people behind the team are integrated into the cultural fabric, represented by this stunning staff restaurant, lying just between the briefing room and the working office area.
02:43Here, teams from all around the club will be on hand to collaborate and support the team in a bright and open space designed to ignite innovation.
02:52A new lounge area awaits at the end of the hall for all of our visitors and friends in media.
02:58A relaxing waiting room, whether you're waiting for access to one of our three studio spaces, or are waiting to enter our new press conference room, where Ruben will interact with the world's media on a weekly basis, in a purposefully built facility, fitting of the standard of Manchester United.
03:14So as you can tell, there's been a lot of change here at Carrington, we've been here for 25 years now, and it'll continue to serve us well.
03:23But as we drive towards new ambitions and successes, we also still remember those who came before us.
