00:00For example Manny, you gave an offer to do a film here in the Philippines right now.

00:12Would you consider?

00:14Yeah, I think the actual goal is I'm trying to write and create stories

00:20that could hopefully actually film in the Philippines as well.

00:23So yeah, both, whether to act here or to create stories to act here.

00:28What kind of a story would you do?

00:31I have a story in mind and it revolves around sabong.

00:42Interesting.

00:43Yeah, yeah. It's a family story.

00:47I can't say too much about it because we're still, it's still in the works,

00:52but it's, yeah, something along those lines.

00:55Okay, I wanted to tell you that it has been very controversial in the last few months.

01:02Yeah.

01:03You've heard about it.

01:04But we won't see any of it.

01:05No, I know.

01:06But I think what you're trying to say is the cultural side of sabong.

01:10That would really be interesting because that's deeply ingrained in the Filipino culture.

01:16Yeah.

01:17I'm wondering because you came from theater and then you're doing films now.

01:20What's your process as an actor?

01:23Oh, wow.

01:24Um, it's very analytical first.

01:27Okay.

01:28Um, so I will, um, study the script, the scene.

01:33Um, I do all these notes, like relationship, all these like acting.

01:39Um, I'm going to work on a backstory.

01:40Yes, yes.

01:41I make a backstory and, and, uh, and figure out who this is on the page.

01:46And then I, once I figure all that out, I put it on its feet and I figure out how the

01:54person moves, how his, how he sounds, and also how he would interact with the other characters.

02:02And the biggest challenge is to make it look natural.

02:05Yeah, and authentic.

02:06And authentic and spontaneous.

02:08Yeah, yeah.

02:09Mm-hmm, yeah, yeah.
