00:00The recent escalation along the Cambodian Thai border reminds us how swiftly tensions can rise
00:15when left unresolved. As Chair Malaysia has worked on structurally to facilitate talks
00:21between the two countries, I would take note to recognize the support mandate of my friends
00:28Tuanku Sultan Brunei, Presidents, Prime Ministers in ASEAN who had continuously given the full support and endorsement
00:40and this is a remarkable feat. I'm able to do that with Dr. Muhammad Hassan and the Klik
00:46because of the solidarity, commitment, trust and friendship and brotherhood of all ASEAN leaders.
00:53Thank you again. Yes, we have broken the ceasefire and we had the United States of America
01:03with President Donald Trump and China supporting this endeavor and recognizing the role of the Chair
01:13and ASEAN generally. And again, I think this is unprecedented, remarkable feat and of course,
01:22this shows the strength, commitment and resolve of ASEAN leaders.
01:27But I must also take this opportunity to thank both leaders of Cambodia and Thailand,
01:41the cabinet, the chief of the armed forces. And I was told that in the history of ceasefires
01:48in the world, in the past many, many decades, if not centuries, this was probably the first ceasefire
01:57that worked fast and effectively due to the support of everyone.
02:04Yesterday, we resolved the final agreement between both the Defence Ministers and Defence Ministries
02:14after three, four days of deliberations by the representatives, dealing with some very detailed technical question.
02:25And I must again express my profound gratitude and appreciation for their support.
