00:00Welcome to the making of Koila.
00:30The action in Koila.
00:44Actually, before I tell you about the action in Koila,
00:47there is a superstition.
00:49Whatever I run, the film is a big hit.
00:52When I run in fear, it was a big hit.
00:56After that, Salman Khan told me that I'm running in Karan Arjun.
01:00I'm running, the film is a big hit.
01:02I'm running after a girl, the film is a big hit.
01:05So, in this film, the trend was going on.
01:22Shahruf is a very daring person himself.
01:25When I conceived the climax of the film,
01:29I went and narrated him.
01:31I said, this is what I have thought of.
01:33But this, I can only do if you give the shots yourself.
01:36He said, no, Rakesha, we'll do it.
01:38I gave one shot that I hit on my body.
01:42And I'm running.
01:45When I saw him running,
01:48I literally got scared.
01:53Not one kick, he gave six kicks.
01:59He said, no, Rakesha, we'll do it.
02:00I'm running.
02:01I'm running.
02:02I'm running.
02:03I'm running.
02:04I'm running.
02:05So, how did you do that
02:09By putting the light on my eyes and running?
02:11And I will tell them that
02:12when you can say it in the camera,
02:14after the light on my eyes,
02:15you can use very fast.
02:16I can do this stunt with my eyes closed.
02:25The problem is keeping my eyes open while doing it.
02:27Thank you, Koehla.
02:43So there were a couple of dangerous shots in the film
02:45which we have done, finished with
02:47and if somebody wants to tell me to do them again,
02:49I will not do them.
02:50The action of Koehla is phenomenal.
03:12We have gone to Armanachal Pradesh.
03:13Absolutely inaccessible place.
03:16From Goati, we sat in a car, not knowing how far it is.
03:20We drove for 17 hours to reach Tawang which is just two kilometers away from China.
03:27The sun rises in the morning at 4 o'clock, set set about 3 o'clock.
03:31So we used to get up in the morning at 4 o'clock, be ready by 5, 5.30.
03:36Mr. Rakesh Roshan was the first person to get up
03:38and he used to wake up at 4.30
03:42and he used to go and knock on everyone's door.
03:45It's the worst thing that can happen.
03:46It's your worst nightmare.
03:47Be 5.30 in the morning,
03:49Mr. Rakesh Roshan standing ready to go
03:50and you have just gone to sleep.
04:01But we don't have only one location,
04:02we have different locations.
04:04You shot for it in all,
04:05all the weird places that I can think of.
04:08Overall, I think
04:23what comes through in this film Koila is
04:27the bigness of the action,
04:28the bigness of the shooting pattern.
04:30I mean, it is really huge.
04:32Can we just widen the frame to show how huge it is?
04:36One second.
04:36So, yeah, it's about this big, the film.
04:44The shooting in Tawang,
04:47it was a very difficult location
04:49and the shooting part was very difficult.
04:52But then, we all, the whole union,
04:55used to meet in the evenings
04:56at about 8 o'clock
04:57and have some songs from there.
05:00The local singers used to come over there
05:02with their guitars.
05:03After we came back,
05:04we were shooting there for a month.
05:06I think we still missed working,
05:08you know, with the unit.
05:10And I really missed those moments.
05:12The ambiance was great and the people were great.
05:20And we had such a blast.
05:21It was unbelievable.
05:22Everybody was so young and bubbly
05:24and, you know, full of energy on the sets
05:28that it was great working with this unit.
05:32This is my third film with Mr. Rakesh Roshan and Filmcraft.
05:35And the one thing that really, really comes across
05:38of Mr. Rakesh Roshan is that
05:40he is the most hardworking and organized director
05:42I have worked with.
05:44He is pit-pat with his homework.
05:55Once we are on the set,
05:57not one minute is wasted.
05:58We just get cracking and we get to work.
06:00I found out that he was very young at heart.
06:02He is a bit of a tyrant, you could say.
06:04He is a dude.
06:15My job is to make a good film.
06:18I cannot make a successful film.
06:20I can only make a good film.
06:23And good film also that
06:24what I feel,
06:26what I can do the best.
06:27I am not saying this is the best film I have made.
06:30But as a director,
06:31one can only make a good film.
06:33People, I feel sorry,
06:35when people say,
06:36picture both of you.
06:37Coming soon to a theater near you.
06:43Khoila.
