00:14to censor the presidential speeches and manipulate public opinion in the country.

01:58Bolivia's 200th anniversary of independence. For this, several commemorative events are on the way throughout the nation. Bolivians have been celebrating the Bicentennial since the start of the month on Wednesday. Events started with the raising of the flag in the state capital of Sucre in the apartment of Chukisaca, where thousands, headed by President Luis Arcec, gathered at the historic Plaza 25 de Mayo in front of Casa de la Libertad.
02:22Afterwards, the head of state received the formal greeting from the international relations present later in the day. Significant cultural activities will unfold, including a concert by the Youth Symphony Orchestra of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
02:35A Venezuelan delegation led by Foreign Minister Ivan Hill and the Executive Secretary of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of our America, Rander Peña, arrived in Bolivia to participate in events celebrating the Bicentennial of the country's independence.
02:54Officials arrived at Alcantarín International Airport in Sucre, from where they highlighted the admirable participation of Simón Bolívar and Antonio José de Sucre in the heroic deed that achieved the country's independence 200 years ago.
03:07This date marked the end of the uprisings against the Spanish crown and the birth of the Republic of Bolívar, which would later be called Bolivia in order of the Liberator.
03:16During the next few hours, the main events are expected to concentrate in Sucre, the constitutional capital, where parades, ceremonies, and a military parade to honor the heroes of the independence.
03:31And the President of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, offered on Tuesday a balance of economic and social achievements during his three years in office.
03:42During his speech, the Colombian President highlighted the advances in the education and health sectors, as well as the low inflation and poverty indexes.
03:50Likewise, President Petro denounced the media censorship of presidential speeches and activities, a censorship that responds to the interests of groups of the Colombian oligarchy.
04:00In this sense, the head of state condemned the questioning of the country's justice system after the sentence against former President Álvaro Uribe Vélez for the crimes of procedural fraud and bribery of witnesses.
04:11They did not recover. It was Tuduka's friends in Avianca. In the press, El Tiempo, RCN, that is why they applaud Uribe.
04:25That is why they are not even able to mention or respect justice. They disrespected every day, saying that Uribe should not be in jail.
04:37I am not going to get into that, nor am I going to say yes or no. But justice is respected in Colombia.
04:45And in the United States, Colombians who go there to destroy justice in Colombia, traitors to the homeland, not opposition, and opposition does not have that indignity.
05:00Let them defend themselves in the courts. They have the right as the one and the judges should be free of what they decide, completely free, not judges with fear, not judges thinking that they are going to be killed or kneeling before the networks and in the press insinuate that they are going to be killed for doing justice in Colombia.
05:22So we will all kill each other because for peace there has to be justice and there will be peace in Colombia. Whatever its decisions are, which this president will respect.
05:36President Gustavo Perdo condemned the censorship by the media of presidential speeches and activities, depriving citizens of their right to information from diverse sources.
05:45So, to become independent from power and so that the power does not speak alone, now it is the turn of the president of the republic to speak as well, who is censored every day, as it happened with the great, beautiful cultural act, one of the best that has been presented in Colombia in its history, in the 500 years of Santa Marta, which commemorates not the conqueror, not Bastidas,
06:12but the 100 years of resistance that arose with Bastidas, but the 100 years of resistance that arose with Bastidas, the indigenous people who later turned into the people of Bolívar and who then, instead of conquest, speak of freedom.
06:25They censored all that, they censored the act of Santa Marta, they censored the president, but these speeches serve to put our point of view, to make the citizenship discern and make decisions.
06:42And this speech then has to do with the presentation of data.
06:51The press also censored it. Some few showed up on July 20th at the Congress, but they prefer to talk about junk and to make bad accounts than to talk about the real evaluations of the government.
07:09And in that sense, President Petro denounced the actions of the media led by groups of the Colombian oligarchy to manipulate public opinion in the country.
07:20The press silences. The press has been saying that we have one of the best healthcare systems in Colombia. Liars. We have one of the worst healthcare systems in the world. Tell the truth. Don't deceive the people. That is unconstitutional. And you use an electromagnetic spectrum that belongs to the people, not to you.
07:46You have no right to lie. Just so one of your friends, who increases the profit of media owners, can become president. Let the people decide freely. Don't manipulate their consciences.
08:04I tell you this, comrade worker. Colombia's traditional friends is lying to manipulate the people so that a candidate of the press owners, one of the richest in Colombia, becomes the next president. Don't allow it, comrade.
08:19Don't allow it.
08:20Don't allow it.
08:21Don't allow it.
08:22Don't allow it.

08:47telephone the President of the United States, Donald Trump, to the United Nations Climate
08:50Change Conference.
08:51The conference is scheduled for November in the Brazilian city of Belém, Pará.
08:55The invitation seeks to note Trump's position on climate change, although Lula clarified
08:59that he will not address the tariffs imposed by the U.S. on Brazilian exports, said at 50%,
09:04which have generated bilateral tensions.
09:06The U.S. tariffs have generated criticism from Lula, who accused Trump of crossing all limits
09:10by interfering in Brazil's internal affairs.
09:18President of Peru, Pedro Castillo, announced the creation of the Electoral Alliance, together
09:23with the people, for the elections of the year 2026.
09:26The official presentation is scheduled for Sunday, August 17th, at 11 a.m. local time
09:31in the central square of Guayacán.
09:34The coalition arises in the framework of the preparation for the 2026 general elections
09:38in Peru, where the political forces seek to strengthen their representation.

09:59In Nicaragua, the National Assembly approved the Border Territory Law, which determines
10:03the safeguarding of the borders to prevent crimes committed by organized crime and international
10:08drug trafficking.
10:10With urgency and 91 votes in favor, the Nicaraguan Legislative Body unanimously approved the Border
10:14Territory Law to strengthen its sovereignty and guarantee peace, security, and territorial
10:20integrity.
10:21The initiative defines that the border territory is property of the state, delimiting its 15
10:26kilometers from the borderline towards the interior of the country to prevent external
10:31threats and to confront crimes that threaten the security of Nicaraguan families, strengthen
10:36the legal framework for the defense of the interests of the people.
10:48The approval of the Border Territory Law is fundamental to guarantee the sovereignty, territorial
10:55integrity and national security of Nicaragua by establishing a clearly delimited area of
11:0415 kilometers from the conventional border.
11:08The state reaffirms its control over an essential strategic zone to prevent external interference
11:17in illicit activities such as money laundering, drug trafficking and human trafficking.
11:25This does not affect any Nicaraguan who is established in the zone.
11:33He continues to be established, he continues to develop his normal life, but this is a zone
11:39controlled by the Nicaraguan state to ensure the peace, security and territorial integrity
11:48of all Nicaraguans.
11:52Mexican armed forces recently deployed troops to Jalisco, disembarking at Miguel Hidalgo
11:57y Costilla International Airport.
11:59The aim of this deployment is to curb criminal activity in the region as part of a broader
12:03strategy by Mexico to confront organized crime in several states, including Jalisco.
12:07Using its military forces, Mexican government has deployed troops across several states to
12:12bolster public security due to the lack of capacity of local police forces to address the
12:16militarized criminal groups.
12:19This deployment in Jalisco aligns with similar increases of soldiers in other violence-affected
12:23regions such as Sinaloa, where troop presence has passed 11,000 amid escalating cartel conflicts.

12:59In Lebanon, the Hezbollah resistance movement rejected the U.S. government's plan to dismantle
13:1950% of the Lebanese resistance infrastructure.
13:21The Secretary General of the Hezbollah resistance movement Sheikh Naim Qasem warned that the project
13:26promoted by the Trump administration's envoy aims to grant Sadiq advantages to Israel, denouncing
13:32that this constitutes a direct attack against national sovereignty.
13:35Qasem denounced that Washington's proposal calls for the dismantling of Hezbollah's defensive
13:39capabilities in just 30 days in exchange for the alleged partial Israeli withdrawal from
13:44Great Lebanese areas.
13:46Hezbollah condemned that while Beirut calls for the disarmament of the resistance, Israeli bulldozers
13:51are fortifying military sites in the region.
13:58And citizens in Lebanon took to the streets in Sardom, Beirut to demonstrate their support
14:04for the Hezbollah resistance movement.
14:06Lebanese reaffirmed their commitment to the struggle against the Israeli occupation and in
14:10defense of Lebanon's sovereignty.
14:12Citizens rejected the genosidal actions of the Sionist regime of Israel against the Palestinian
14:17people that has left thousands of dead and displaced, most of them women and children.
14:21This march reflects the growing popular support for the resistance forces amid the increasing
14:26escalation on the southern border of Lebanon where Hezbollah has responded to Israel's aggressions.
14:32And rescuers were scouring a devastated Himalayan village in northern India to find dozens of missing
14:50people a day after flash floods killed at least four people and left many others trapped under debris.
14:55Floodwaters triggered by intense rains gushed down the narrow mountains to Tuesday into Daralee,
15:01a mountain village in Uttarakhand state, sweeping away homes, roads and a local market.
15:06Teams of army and disaster force rescuers were searching for dozens, including at least 11 Indian
15:11army soldiers who are believed to be trapped under the rubble.
15:14Authority said rescue workers had recovered four bodies by Wednesday, but the surge remains underway.
15:20And in the Philippines, a massive fire broke out on the morning of August 6 in a densely populated area of Tondo, Manila.
15:33Thick black smoke was seen billowing into the sky as flames rapidly engulfed the tightly packed residential neighborhood.
15:39The fire affected 172 families, displacing 435 individuals, and led to the destruction of 30 homes.
15:46Many of the barquees have been moved to the barangay night of recovery court for shelter.
15:52Local authorities and the Department of Social Welfare and Development responded swiftly, distributing $4,485 worth of food and relief supplies to the affected families.
16:02The incident highlights the ongoing risks faced by Manila's urban poor, as Tondo's makeshift housing and narrow alleyways contributes to frequent and devastating fires.
16:12And August 6 marks the 80th anniversary of the dropping of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima by the United States.
16:24Monday, August 6, 1945, the Little Boy nuclear bomb was dropped on Hiroshima, followed by the detonation of the fat bomb over Nagasaki on August 9.
16:34Between 105,000 and 120,000 people died as a result of the attack, from both the initial impact and the subsequent radiation and contamination.
16:44Since then, 231 cases of leukemia and 334 cases of various cancers have been observed in people exposed to the radiation released by the bombs.
16:52These devastating bombs, which brought Second World War to an end in the Pacific, are the only nuclear attacks ever launched in human history.
