00:00I get emotional because the story of this book is not my strength, it's really my weakness.

00:06And that God's strength rests on us in our weakest state, if we'll bring Him the broken

00:11pieces of our life. I love the promise that God says, my grace is sufficient for you,

00:20for my power is made perfect in weakness. And so we can say, just like all those that went before us,

00:29therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weakness so that Christ's power would rest on me.

00:37And what I want to say to people who are struggling with waiting is bring your weaknesses to God

00:46and let His power rest on you. Discover the wonder of 1 Peter that though I haven't seen you,

00:56I love you. Though I haven't seen you, I believe. That's the wonder. It's faith.

01:05And faith is for the wait. Faith is not for heaven. Faith is for here and now.

01:11The matriarchs and the patriarchs of our faith, Hebrews tells us, they died while still believing.

01:16There were still things that they did not see come to pass. So they died still believing,

01:22still in faith, knowing that in their weakest state, God is the strongest. And that's available

01:29to us. Is that not an offer that you can't refuse? That's the wonder. Lord, you want to be my strength.

01:36You care about me. You care about my Monday schedule. Wow. God's amazing.
