00:00What's up guys? I am here at the 2025 New York Auto Show.
00:04I'm really excited to check out what's new for 2025-26, so let's get started.
00:17This is the Kia EV4. It's going to be coming out sometime.
00:22It's like the EV6, but with a less powerful motor, up to 330 miles of range.
00:26They didn't talk about pricing yet, but I hope it's going to be around $40,000.
00:31What I'm really most excited about the EV4 is that it is a sedan, and when you think about EVs, it's mostly crossover and SUVs.
00:38So to have sedans as an option, hopefully around $40,000, it's going to be really attractive.
00:46Cool. Nice. Nice size.
00:49So here inside for a sedan, I think it's a pretty good size.
00:52I think a little bit more legroom in the back would be nice, but it looks almost like the EV9.
00:56And, of course, there are some trade-offs.
00:58Nice panoramic display here in the front.
01:00You have also a sunroof, and you have, you know, pretty good seats.
01:03Comfortable. They have these nice textures, these patterns.
01:06Really clean finish.
01:08Actually, this kind of reminds me of the Kia Niro, which was their hybrid.
01:13A little bit smaller, but very similar in the interior.
01:16So open up the back here, show you access to the trunk.
01:19Now, I believe you could actually open up the back seat, so if you need the extra room, you have that flexibility.
01:25It's not an automatic tailgate, but I suspect that this is the entry-level trim.
01:29Like I said, hopefully around $40,000 would be great for a sedan.
01:33Of course, if you want all the extra features, it's going to cost more.
01:36Design-wise, I really like how it blends that futuristic look that I saw with the EV9.
01:42It has similar elements.
01:43You have the accents on the front here, the black, the gray.
01:47Hard lines.
01:48So very futuristic looking.
01:50Over here, we have the Hyundai Ioniq 9.
01:57It's a cousin to one of my favorite EVs, the Kia EV9.
02:01Just like the EV9, it is a three-row seater, so it has a lot of room for your family, for guests.
02:07Very similar-looking design, obviously.
02:09Kind of boxy.
02:10Reminds me of a Kona on the front.
02:12The back's also kind of interesting, to say the least.
02:14And it's going to be priced similar to the EV9, between $63,000 to $73,000, depending on the trim.
02:20Upwards of 335 miles of range.
02:23This one's expected to come out this spring, 2025, so you can start pre-ordering right now.
02:28Like I said, the design reminds me of the EV9, like the handles.
02:32They're flush when it's locked, like the EV9.
02:35The headlights, they have these really interesting patterns you could customize.
02:38The back, though, is very interesting, because it looks really chonky, as I like to say.
02:46Very wide, very tall, and you have this interesting LED strip that pretty much lines the entire outside.
02:53Could fit my bike, my small micro bike in there, my scooter definitely.
02:57Pull down the back seats, I could add more stuff.
03:00Okay, let's take a look inside.
03:01Okay, just like any other Hyundais, similar design language, panoramic display.
03:10I love the lip here.
03:11I have noticed that Hyundai does this a lot.
03:14And this is interesting here.
03:15It's not powered, which I wish it was.
03:17It's manual, but you're able to actually adjust the armrest here to whatever length you want.
03:22Big size, so if you have a family of seven, or just try and bring around people, plenty of room.
03:28So, what I loved about the EV9 was the back seats.
03:32They had the captain's chairs, and I think this is just like it.
03:37Here we go.
03:45I'd still get the EV9.
03:48So, I talked about the IONIQ 5N, which I loved last year.
03:5120-year-old me would have liked it, but the price, hell no.
03:55So, this guy might be something more reasonable.
03:58$37,000 for the 2025 Elantra N.
04:02Gas-powered, but hey, that's still cheaper than the $50,000 for the IONIQ 5N.
04:08This is the 2025 Toyota BC4X.
04:12Still the only electric EV that Toyota makes.
04:15There are some new changes, mostly aesthetics.
04:17So, first of all, I like the design language.
04:20Still has that futuristic, very edgy, angular design.
04:23But they have this now new two-tone finish.
04:26The black and white looks really nice.
04:28And as a whole, it still has a very attractive design.
04:32So, last year, I was kind of meh about the BZ4X.
04:35Didn't have the best efficiency, and I thought it was average.
04:38But hopefully, they made those changes, made improvements, especially efficiency, the range.
04:43Minor changes to the inside, very familiar.
04:46The thing I like about the BZ4X is the cockpit-style front seat.
04:50Look at this.
04:51You have your steering wheel.
04:53You can adjust here, up and down like that.
04:55And then you have your display, your cluster gauge display there, and your main display here.
05:00Definitely has a little bit more of a sporty feel to it.
05:02You've got these bucket seats that kind of hug you.
05:05Also, fabric material.
05:07Kind of skeptical about how they'll hold up long-term because, you know, wear and tear and spills and all that.
05:11But it looks like it's pretty spacious in the back as well.
05:14I wasn't that impressed with last year's model, but let me know what you think about this year's model.
05:23Toyota and Subaru co-developed their first EVs.
05:26They had the BZ4X and the Subaru Solterra look identical.
05:30But coming next year, 2026, this is the Subaru Trail Seeker.
05:35Essentially, a larger-sized version of both EVs.
05:38So this has a range of 260 miles.
05:41The design, of course, it's meant to be more like an off-road type EV.
05:45You can tell with the black trim and also the huge amount of space.
05:49This is a bigger EV.
05:51So if you're going to be carrying a lot more people or a larger package, it's going to be able to haul that.
05:56So when I look at it from the side, it does remind me of the Subaru Outback because of that crossover wagon-type design.
06:03The blue, of course, the paint job, and now with the black accents.
06:07So on the inside, like the BZ4X, very familiar.
06:12You can tell that they kind of co-designed this cockpit-style steering wheel.
06:17You've got your cluster gauge display, your touchscreen here.
06:21Pretty spacious.
06:22Nice headrest here in the back.
06:24Wow, it doesn't even have a moonroof of any kind here.
06:27But I guess it's about the utility, about having the extra space in the back.
06:33And, yeah, to me, this looks just like the BZ4X.
06:41I'm really excited about testing this one out.
06:43This is the Lucid Gravity.
06:45It's a 3-0 luxury SUV.
06:48One of the more exciting-looking SUVs, EVs out there.
06:52And I'm really excited for it.
06:54Just like the Air Pure I tested, this is all about efficiency.
06:57For an SUV of this size that fits up to seven people,
07:01they're looking around four miles per kilowatt-hour efficiency,
07:04which is amazing for something this big.
07:06Pre-orders are available right now.
07:08It's starting at $80,000.
07:10This one, I'd imagine, probably could go up to $100,000 for a touring model.
07:14So very pricey, but that makes sense from the design,
07:17the luxury materials that they use, and all the features.
07:20So right away, the first thing that stands out to me
07:22is this ultra-wide panoramic display.
07:26It's beautiful.
07:26It's not as tall, a lot wider, which is great.
07:29You have your center console here.
07:32Very minimalistic, I gotta say.
07:33That's the beauty about Lucid's cars.
07:36They have a very minimalist aesthetics.
07:39You have a really different-looking square...
07:43Squircle, I want to call it.
07:44A square-circle steering wheel.
07:46But the bigger thing here is just the amount of legroom and the amount of space you have.
07:51One thing I noticed inside here in driver's seat is above.
07:54Look at this.
07:55It's all glass up front.
07:58Look how they mounted the visors here.
08:01Really interesting.
08:02All right, so let's take a look at the back seats here.
08:04Second row seats.
08:06Obviously, there's a third row.
08:07Probably have to move the seats up.
08:08But again, what I like about the design is that they have a lot of legroom,
08:12both in the front and the back here.
08:14Pretty comfortable.
08:15Seats are plush.
08:17And again, that minimalist aesthetics makes it nice and peaceful.
08:20So, those are just some of the highlights.

08:43I'm a pro.
08:45No, that's not a button.
08:46There we go.
08:47Found it.
08:47I should be able to recline.
08:50Oh, it's going to.
08:52No, it's closing.
08:52It's closing.
08:53The other way.
