00:30Or part of a bigger plan?
00:32Were we forewarned of these catastrophes by ancient prophecy?
00:35And did these warnings come from beyond our planet?
00:39Cryptic remains offer new clues to a highly intelligent civilization.
00:43They tell a story of innovation, wisdom and acorns.
00:48So prepare to take an interstellar journey
00:50and begin to uncover the magic and the mysteries of the Scratazons.
00:55Weasel my way out of that one!
01:00Well, we meet up with Buck,
01:02who is the sort of hero, weasel, protector of the lost world of the dinosaurs.
01:06And he ends up stumbling into this ruin.
01:10Almost like a Mayan temple that's been there for centuries,
01:14for maybe millions of years.
01:15And there is where he finds this obelisk.
01:19This tablet probably hasn't been seen in thousands of years
01:22until Buck finds it, so it's a really special moment.
01:25He's very curious.
01:26He kind of approaches with caution because he doesn't know what this is.
01:30The obelisk is this three-sided sculpture.
01:33And on it are these carvings.
01:35Much like images from a comic book.
01:37And, you know, some of the images show past events
01:40where an asteroid would take out the dinosaurs
01:42and before that took out the trilobites.
01:45And Buck sees one
01:46that shows an asteroid about to wipe out the mammals.
01:50The obelisk is really a prophecy.
01:52Left on Earth as a warning.
01:55That immediately sets the alarm bells ringing for him
01:57because he's got to go warn his friends.
01:59Our research has led us to believe
02:01that this obelisk has come from
02:03an advanced, highly intelligent civilization
02:05that's been around for probably thousands,
02:07maybe millions of years,
02:09the Scratazons.
02:09The Scratazons were a race of
02:14enormous female Amazon Scrats.
02:18So the temple sculptures tell us
02:20that the Scratazons are tall, slender, bipedal,
02:24highly evolved version of the Scrat.
02:27Except they were prettier.
02:29So they've got the long nose, the teeth, the fur,
02:32they've got large eyes.
02:33Based on our research, we think the back teeth
02:35were used to crack the hard shell of the acorn.
02:37And then the front teeth probably were to attract males.
02:41They communicate via telepathy with antennas.
02:45They clearly had a sense of humor
02:47because they giggled.
02:48The Scratazons were very fashionable.
02:50They had accessories.
02:51And one of these accessories was the staff that they had.
02:54Very elegant, very beautiful.
02:55Helped them walk.
02:56It helped them move.
02:57The staff is multipurpose.
02:58It can act as a laser.
03:01That could just cut you down at the knees.
03:04They have a tractor beam to pull things in towards them.
03:09Well, it's been told that the Scratazons,
03:11millions of years ago,
03:13came to Earth and discovered these enormous oak trees
03:15and just an abundance of acorns.
03:18And they started harvesting these acorns.
03:20And they would come back to Earth,
03:22harvest the acorns,
03:23and take them back up to their planet.
03:25This was a delicacy for them.
03:26And they clearly had a highly evolved palate.
03:30And then an asteroid hit Earth,
03:32and everything was destroyed.
03:34And when they came down and they saw that,
03:36they were devastated.
03:37And they realized that periodically,
03:39or every few million years or so,
03:41an asteroid would hit Earth.
03:43They don't want to lose all the acorns on Earth.
03:45They had a whole plan.
03:47They left the obelisk.
03:48And the Scratazons also left the spaceship
03:50so that whatever living creature may find it,
03:53that they would collect the precious acorns.
03:55Load it up and escape Earth
03:57before the next asteroid comes.
03:59The spaceship is outfitted with a homing device
04:01that will allow the creature in the ship
04:03to find the mothership and lead it there,
04:06bringing the precious cargo, the acorns.
04:09The mothership was very state-of-the-art,
04:11very advanced technologically.
04:13It looked like a flying saucer,
04:15but then it actually opened up
04:16and morphed into what looks like a giant acorn.
04:19Do I think the Scratazons will return to Earth?
04:24Well, as long as we've got acorns on this planet,
04:28if you look up and see an asteroid coming our way...
04:31I think it's fair to say that they will probably return.
04:34The message of the obelisk is that history repeats itself.
04:37Clearly the asteroid is repeating itself.
04:40So is there something we can learn from the Scratazons?
04:42Yes, and it can be best exemplified
04:45by the message it left for us on the obelisk.
04:48And that is to take the ship and save your nuts.
04:51Welcome to the complete animation of the Scratazons
05:16from Blue Skies 2016 Scrat Spaced Out.
05:20This is basically an extended short
05:22that explains more about what happened to Scrat
05:27during his adventures in Collision Course.
05:31And I gotta be honest,
05:33I think that this is the weakest of Scrat's adventures.
05:36I mean, they did so many other things,
05:38but this going to space didn't really work for me.
05:41But these Scratazons characters, they're pretty neat.
05:44I like their designs.
05:45They're like, you know, large female Scrats,
05:48but their design has that retro sci-fi look to it
05:55with all of the, like, shoulder pads.
05:58And yeah, they're pretty cool.
06:01And I was glad that I was able to find
06:04some concept art and stuff
06:06that was included
06:08either with the special features on the disc
06:11or I was able to find it online.
06:15One of the artists posted an Imgur,
06:18Imgur, whatever,
06:19album full of a bunch of the concept art.
06:23I think that's pretty neat.
06:26But yeah, unfortunately, Blue Sky is no more.
06:29But I think these were good one-off characters
06:32for them to explore.
06:34Very interesting.
06:36Good foil to Scrat himself.
06:37Thanks for watching.
