Six Migrant Workers From Odisha Killed In Granite Quarry Accident In Andhra

Rescue operations were immediately launched, with mining department officials joining the police at the site.

00:00Today morning, when 9 workers were working in the quarry between 10.30 and 11 am, as you can see behind me, some faulty rocks failed.

00:15It failed in two spots, one inside a 100 feet pit, where the 9 workers were working.

00:23They all were from Odisha. Immediately when it came to our notice, we began the rescue operations.

00:34We rescued everyone. Four died on the spot. The rest five were taken to the hospital, where two more of them died.

00:41The rest three are undergoing treatment and they are out of danger.

00:46The reason for the cause of the incident is being investigated by the forensic team and mining team.
