00:00I'm being honest. It makes it more difficult to do.
00:03Donald Trump is sharing his honest thoughts about pardoning Sean Diddy Combs.
00:07Two months after saying he would, quote, look into the facts,
00:10when asked about pardoning his former friend Combs,
00:13who has since been found guilty of transportation to engage in prostitution,
00:17but acquitted on sex trafficking and racketeering charges,
00:19President Trump now clarifies his comments during an interview with Newsmax on August 1st.
00:25Sean Diddy Combs?
00:27Right.
00:27Would you consider pardoning him?
00:28Well, he was essentially, I guess, sort of half innocent.
00:32I don't know what they do. He's still in jail or something.
00:35But he was celebrating a victory, but he seems, I guess, it wasn't as good as a victory.
00:41Probably, you know, I was very friendly with him.
00:45I got along with him great and seemed like a nice guy.
00:50I didn't know him well.
00:51But when I ran for office, he was very hostile.
00:54He said some not so nice things about you, sir.
00:56And it's hard, you know, like you, we're human beings.
01:01Right.
01:02And we don't like to have things cloud our judgment, right?
01:05But when you knew someone and you were fine, and then you run for office,
01:11and he made some terrible statements.
01:13So, I don't know, it's more difficult.
01:16It makes it more, I'm being honest, it makes it more difficult to do.
01:19But more likely a no for Combs, it sounds like.
01:23I would say, yeah.
01:23Okay.
01:24Questions about a potential pardon for Combs came just days after the president pardoned Todd and Julie Chrisley for their tax evasion crimes.
01:31The duo, who entered prison in early 2023, have been said to remain incarcerated until 2032 and 2028, respectively,
01:39before they were released on May 28th on order of the president.
01:43As for Combs, the 55-year-old will return to court for sentencing on October 3rd,
01:48following his conviction on the two prostitution-related charges.
01:51His counsel is seeking 21 to 27 months, while prosecutors are asking for 51 to 63 months, per NBC News.
02:01Byers and the 500-year-old anymore, come out.
02:09Have a great day.
