00:02:28Come on, come on.
00:02:58Come on.
00:03:12Oh, my God.
00:03:13Something's here.
00:03:28At approximately 12.14 a.m. today,
00:03:41a sniper utilizing a telescopic rifle opened fire on Destrian.
00:03:47His first victim, Alpha P. Majors, was killed instantly
00:03:49when a .22 caliber bullet passed through his temple.
00:03:53Fourteen other citizens were mortally wounded.
00:03:56Due to the tie-up, police found it impossible
00:03:59to reach the scene of the homicides
00:04:02and emergency vehicles were unable to get through.
00:04:07At 12.24 p.m., the police helicopter patrol
00:04:11pinpointed the sniper as being perched
00:04:14on top of the water tower and the Haskell Publications building.
00:04:19But before appropriate action could be taken,
00:04:22one of our officers took the initiative
00:04:24of climbing the water tower
00:04:25in an effort to talk to Sniperdone.
00:04:35He say anything?
00:04:35Mm-hmm.
00:04:41Hey, Pete, he's gonna come down.
00:04:43Listen, I'm not coming up to arrest you.
00:04:47I just want to talk.
00:04:49Find out who you are.
00:04:51Why you've done this.
00:04:55Dean!
00:04:56Get down here!
00:05:16Dean!
00:05:16The helicopter's on its way!
00:05:17They'll take care of it!
00:05:18Get out of there!
00:05:19We have plenty of time, none of us are going anywhere.
00:05:27I'm Peter Nicholas.
00:05:29Is there anybody you want us to call, notify you're up here?
00:05:31My name is Harold Gorman.
00:05:32Do you want us to get in touch with your family?
00:05:34I don't care.
00:05:44I don't believe my son had anything to do with this.
00:05:48He was a very good student.
00:05:50I mean, he couldn't possibly have killed all those people at that distance.
00:05:56People have told me that it is physically impossible.
00:06:00Now there might, there must have been a lot of people firing from those rooms.
00:06:04And the police are covering it up.
00:06:08They're blaming my son.
00:06:10I grew up at a Catholic boys school in the Bronx.
00:06:14Graduated DeWitt Clinton High School.
00:06:16A year at Fordham University before I joined the force.
00:06:20Where did you go to school, Harold?
00:06:24Why should you tell me all these things?
00:06:27I want you to know me.
00:06:30We don't kill people we know, do we, Harold?
00:06:34Only strangers.
00:06:36That's why I'm coming up, Harold.
00:06:39So you can see my face.
00:06:43Hi.
00:06:56Hi.
00:06:57I'm 34 years old.
00:07:03How old are you, Harold?
00:07:05I'll be 22 the 7th of July.
00:07:09I'll never be 22, will I?
00:07:12Well, who can't bring anybody back to life, Harold?
00:07:17Nobody can.
00:07:20But a lot of people down there would like to know why you did this.
00:07:24You mad at somebody?
00:07:27It was a nice day.
00:07:30Yeah.
00:07:32You went to drugs, Harold?
00:07:34I don't do that.
00:07:35I don't hang around with those kind of people.
00:07:39Can you tell me why you did this?
00:07:42Yes.
00:07:43You promise you won't tell anybody else?
00:07:46I can't.
00:07:47I can't promise that, Harold.
00:07:48It's my job to find out.
00:07:50Well, I'll tell you anyway.
00:07:52God told me to.
00:07:55Don't!
00:07:56Hey!
00:07:57Peter!
00:07:58Hey.
00:07:59Oh.
00:08:00It's OK.
00:08:01What happened on that roof?
00:08:02Nothing.
00:08:03It's OK.
00:08:04It's somebody else's turn to play hero.
00:08:10I'm sorry.
00:08:11I'm not gonna pick on you today.
00:08:12I'm sorry.
00:08:13I'm not gonna pick on you today.
00:08:14I'm sorry.
00:08:15I'm giving you a day off.
00:08:16I'm giving you a day off.
00:08:17I'm sorry.
00:08:18I'm not gonna pick on you today.
00:08:19I'm giving you a day off.
00:08:20I'm sorry.
00:08:21I'm not gonna pick on you today.
00:08:22I'm giving you a day off.
00:08:28I'm sorry.
00:08:35I'm not gonna pick on you today.
00:08:38I'm giving you a day off.
00:08:43I'm sorry.
00:08:44I'm not gonna pick on you today.
00:08:45I'm giving you a day off.
00:08:58I'm giving you a day off.
00:08:59Hey.
00:09:14This is Ms. Forrester.
00:09:20Oh, yeah.
00:09:21Yeah.
00:09:23Yeah, I've took that class before.
00:09:25They let me live.
00:09:26All right.
00:09:28OK, bye-bye.
00:09:32Again, Spanish Harlem.
00:09:40I really should have a police escort.
00:09:41I suppose the teacher I'm subbing for got mugged in the boys' laboratory.
00:09:58Thought you'd like to be mugged by a detective.
00:10:01Maybe they're holding a ransom.
00:10:04Anything I could get for you.
00:10:11I have to get dressed.
00:10:16Mm-mm.
00:10:17Mm-mm.
00:10:26I don't understand how his aim could be so accurate.
00:10:30It was one of those old mail-order rifles.
00:10:38The sights weren't even properly calibrated.
00:10:41Insane people seem to be graced with unexplainable powers.
00:10:45I read that.
00:10:46I'll bet you did.
00:10:50I wonder what guy did his hand.
00:10:55Are you gonna tell me all those people are meant to die?
00:10:58Come on, people.
00:11:00They're acting like some kind of rookie who's never been through this kind of crap.
00:11:03You've heard every story in the book.
00:11:05I'm driving out to Hempstead to see Martha.
00:11:14People don't change.
00:11:20It's really our decision, not hers.
00:11:22The laws in New York State have grown up.
00:11:25Anybody can get a divorce.
00:11:27I think she's ready to be reasonable.
00:11:31I think she's ready to be reasonable.
00:11:48Why don't you try being honest with her?
00:11:50You really have her believing that I'm the one standing in your way.
00:11:59Doesn't she know that you sneak off to mass every morning?
00:12:05Like a thief?
00:12:06Like a thief?
00:12:11Does she know that you confess everything to the priest?
00:12:23Peter.
00:12:28I'm not out to hurt you, Peter.
00:12:31I feel sorry for you.
00:12:32You really believe.
00:12:37But where is all the joy it's supposed to put in your heart?
00:12:50I'm gonna come again.
00:12:53We'll talk soon.
00:12:55Won't you come here to ask me for something?
00:13:02You want everything to stay just as it is.
00:13:08That's fine with me.
00:13:15But...
00:13:17What will your girl do when she finds out?
00:13:19Aren't you afraid that she'll leave you?
00:13:26It happened before.
00:13:27Talk to me, Peter.
00:13:30Is there anything you need?
00:13:42No.
00:13:48No.
00:13:50I'm fine.
00:13:54No.
00:13:55No.
00:13:56No.
00:13:58To be continued...
00:14:05No.
00:14:07No.
00:14:11No.
00:14:15No.
00:14:16No.
00:14:17Dr. Barrato, 361.
00:14:44Dr. Barrato, 361.
00:14:47Hey, this isn't really in your jurisdiction.
00:14:59His wife said that he was sitting at home reading a magazine.
00:15:02He suddenly got up, went down to the supermarket,
00:15:06took a knife and started stabbing people.
00:15:08John, why did you do it?
00:15:15Take your time, young. I know you can hear me.
00:15:18Why did you attack all those people?
00:15:21Why did you pick up the knife?
00:15:26God told me to.
00:15:31John? John!
00:15:32John.
00:15:47Don't ask who I am or how I know.
00:15:50There's going to be another of those killings today.
00:15:53Hey, who is this?
00:15:56Hold on a minute.
00:15:58Get on the line. This is your special.
00:16:07Uh, excuse me, would you repeat that again, please?
00:16:10He has willed it to be.
00:16:12Five more will die today along the route of the parade.
00:16:15The St. Paddy's Day parade?
00:16:17There'll be 5,000 dead drunk, you mean.
00:16:19Let me take you.
00:16:21Uh, what do you mean, he?
00:16:24Uh, how does he will people to kill?
00:16:26You'll see. There'll be one of your own. A policeman.
00:16:29Which one?
00:16:30I don't know. Maybe he hasn't been chosen yet.
00:16:33But it's going to happen.
00:16:34At what time? At what point in the parade?
00:16:41Sam! Sam!
00:16:43Get down to the parade.
00:16:45You're not supposed to march in the parade.
00:16:46It's gonna be a shooting.
00:16:48I'll be there in a minute.
00:16:59Listen, get me Sergeant Duff, will you?
00:17:01He's on the parade route, 44th Street and 5th Avenue.
00:17:05He's there. He marches every year.
00:17:07Find him, will you? Switch the call through to one of the cars.
00:17:12This is Duff.
00:17:13Sarge, is there any way of, uh, delaying the parade?
00:17:17Stop the parade, sure.
00:17:20Someone's about to go berserk and shoot some people in the march.
00:17:22He's gonna be a cop, probably a patrolman.
00:17:26Yeah, I hear you, but I don't believe.
00:17:28Well, follow the march. Will you keep your eyes open?
00:17:30It's gonna happen.
00:17:31Yeah, yeah, okay.
00:17:32Probably up where the mayor's watching.
00:17:33Uh, in front of the TV cameras.
00:17:35Somebody's trying to terrorize the people in this city,
00:17:37and they're gonna do it in a big way.
00:17:42I got a tip.
00:17:43It's gonna be a shooting.
00:17:44Somebody in uniform.
00:17:46One of our guys.
00:17:47Follow the march.
00:17:48Follow the march.
00:17:53Fourteen.
00:17:54Fourteen.
00:17:55Fourteen.
00:17:56Fourteen.
00:17:57Fourteen.
00:17:58Fourteen.
00:17:59Fourteen.
00:18:00Fourteen.
00:18:01Fourteen.
00:18:02Fourteen.
00:18:03Fourteen.
00:18:04Fourteen.
00:18:05Fourteen.
00:18:06Fourteen.
00:18:07The parade.
00:18:08Rain or shine, that parade is going on every year for 75 years.
00:18:10Something new is gonna be added this year.
00:18:12Look, it's too late anyway.
00:18:13The march starts in three minutes.
00:18:15Pete, it's obviously a crank call.
00:18:17All that bullshit about being chosen.
00:18:20Nicholas.
00:18:21Stay here.
00:18:22The Irish have waited all year for this day.
00:18:24You are not gonna ruin it for them.
00:18:25You got that?
00:18:47Second?
00:18:48Okay.
00:18:53Yeah, I'm not gonna have to do something.
00:18:54Go.
00:18:54Come.
00:18:57You got that?
00:20:28Help!
00:20:38How many are you dead?
00:20:42How many are you dead?
00:21:00God told me to.
00:21:04God told me to.
00:21:12You rode in on the subway with the patrolman James, right?
00:21:17Yeah, I did.
00:21:18Did you see him, uh, talking to any strangers on the train?
00:21:21No, it was crowded. Everybody headed for the parade.
00:21:25But I did see him lean over.
00:21:28He was talking to me.
00:21:30He was talking to me.
00:21:32He was talking to me.
00:21:34He was talking to me.
00:21:36He was talking to me.
00:21:38He was talking to me.
00:21:40He was talking to a kid on the train there.
00:21:43How, how, what did it look like?
00:21:46Well, he was in his 20s, blonde hair, thin belt.
00:21:50Yeah, I rode Gorman up to the roof.
00:21:52How did I know he had a rifle stashed in that package?
00:21:55Was there anyone else in the elevator with him?
00:21:58Yeah, I guess so.
00:22:00I take hundreds of people up and down every day.
00:22:02No, no, no, no.
00:22:03I mean, uh, a young man with, uh,
00:22:06with a shoulder length hair, blonde.
00:22:08People like that got no business in here.
00:22:11Look, they try to come in and use the toilets.
00:22:13They shoot up.
00:22:14We keep the toilets, all of them locked.
00:22:16Did, did you happen to see a young man like that
00:22:19on the day Gorman went up to the roof?
00:22:21Like I say, you don't see many of those.
00:22:24Yeah.
00:22:26It was that day.
00:22:30But I can't for the life of Mick Mitchell.
00:22:35Did you see him the day of the murders?
00:22:37Uh, was he in there talking with anybody,
00:22:39a stranger or someone?
00:22:41Yeah, held down to his shoulders.
00:22:43Like a girl, one of those hippie types.
00:22:45You have always to watch them or they rip you off,
00:22:48stealing from markets.
00:22:50I must have seen his face, but it's like he didn't have any.
00:22:53Did your son have many friends along there?
00:22:56Well, my boy, he didn't hang around those types.
00:22:59That's why I remember this one particular boy.
00:23:02Uh, how old was he?
00:23:04Was he about Harold's age?
00:23:06I only saw him through the window.
00:23:09My eyes are no good.
00:23:12His, his face was a blur.
00:23:15I couldn't focus my eyes on him.
00:23:19That's all, isn't it?
00:23:22Did your son ever mention his name?
00:23:24Uh, yeah, I think it was, uh, Phillips.
00:23:28Yeah, from uptown Washington Heights.
00:23:31You know, I knew he'd get my Harold into trouble.
00:23:34I mean, anybody who would walk barefoot
00:23:36and around the streets of New York City
00:23:38had to have something wrong with him.
00:23:40Yeah, Bernard, Bernard Phillips,
00:23:43that's the name my son gave me.
00:23:46Bernard Phillips.
00:23:47Okay.
00:23:48Bernard.
00:23:49Thank you very much.
00:23:51Nobody seems to be very specific
00:23:53when it comes to this boy.
00:23:54He's never drafted, never worked, never welfare.
00:23:58He lived a charmed life.
00:24:00When you find him,
00:24:01ask him how he pulled it off, would you?
00:24:03Maybe he was blessed.
00:24:05Never went to church, either.
00:24:08I don't know, no, uh,
00:24:10no religious preference with you.
00:24:11Hey, you got all the blessings.
00:24:13Who needs religion?
00:24:15Uh, check the school records.
00:24:17They don't exist.
00:24:18There are people like that.
00:24:20Yeah?
00:24:22Who?
00:24:24Have you tried, uh, juvenile offenders?
00:24:27How about where he was born?
00:24:29Start at the beginning.
00:24:3022 Groom Street, little up here, right?
00:24:33Yeah.
00:24:34Maybe somebody's still left in New Orleans.
00:24:35follow him, maybe?
00:24:36I'm standing there.
00:24:37Maybe he's still left to New Orleans
00:24:38go needed.
00:24:39Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah.
00:24:41Billyuliuliuliuliuliuliuliuliuliuliuliuliuliuliicago.
00:24:43People came to bed.
00:24:44ndvuliuliuliuliuliuliuliuliuliuliuliuliuliuliuliuli Park diggerag.
00:24:46Uh, Mrs. Phillips, can I ask you some questions?
00:25:16Oh, my God.
00:25:46Come on, say it!
00:25:58Say it!
00:26:03Come on, say it!
00:26:11Come on, say it!
00:26:13Come on, say it!
00:26:17Come on, say it!
00:26:21Come on, say it!
00:26:31Come on, say it!
00:26:41Come on, say it!
00:26:43Come on, say it!
00:26:47Come on, say it!
00:26:59Come on, say it!
00:27:11Come on, say it!
00:27:12Come on, say it!
00:27:13You look pretty bad yourself, Lieutenant.
00:27:19Eh, I'm just numb.
00:27:23I won't believe this.
00:27:24This is the first time I've been hurt.
00:27:27You better stop by and get some stitches in that hand.
00:27:29I didn't even get hurt when I was a kid when I fell off my bike.
00:27:32You're gonna have a nasty scar.
00:27:35Find out or anything else?
00:27:37Uh, just there was a mistake in her identification card.
00:27:40What's that?
00:27:41Listed her as a Mrs. Phillips.
00:27:44So?
00:27:45She wasn't a Mrs. Anybody.
00:27:51She was a virgin.
00:28:00I've delivered 9,000 babies in my career.
00:28:04I truly could not tell whether that child was a male or female.
00:28:08It was as if the sexual agenda had not yet been determined.
00:28:12It was as if it were, as if it were being developed.
00:28:18You chose to call it a male.
00:28:20Well, I suppose I thought it was the best thing to do.
00:28:24I, the, the woman was not at all upset, you know,
00:28:29when I, when I broke the bad news to her.
00:28:31She didn't even seem surprised.
00:28:33And so, when she referred to the, to the infant as a male,
00:28:37I just, I just went along with it.
00:28:39I wonder how that, how the child turned out.
00:28:45Yeah, male, female, or something else entirely.
00:28:48You felt no animosity towards your family?
00:29:04No, why should I?
00:29:07I wasn't even thinking about them.
00:29:09I was reading the sports page, wondering what the Jets were going to do.
00:29:13When you decided to get up, go to the closet, take the gun off the shelf, right?
00:29:18Well, it, uh, just occurred to me, yeah.
00:29:21It just occurred to you?
00:29:22Mm-hmm.
00:29:23It just occurred to you to shoot your wife?
00:29:26No, I shot Jerry first.
00:29:29Jerry was your son?
00:29:31Yeah, he was seven.
00:29:34What did your wife do when she saw you shoot your son?
00:29:39Oh, she wanted to stop me.
00:29:41And, uh, then she ran.
00:29:43And then you shot her in the bathroom?
00:29:46Twice, I think.
00:29:47And then your daughter.
00:29:49What's her name?
00:29:50My daughter?
00:29:51Linda.
00:29:52She, uh, screamed and she ran into the bathroom.
00:29:57Bathroom is the only, uh, room in the house with a lock on it.
00:30:02I, uh, I said to her, Lindsay, uh, open the door for Daddy.
00:30:07I said it was going to be a game.
00:30:11I told her that, uh, Jerry and Mommy were all right.
00:30:15The gun was a toy.
00:30:17It was all in fun.
00:30:19And if she came out, I'd let her play with it.
00:30:22I'd show her how to do the trick.
00:30:25Well, in a little while, um, I heard her laugh.
00:30:31Then I heard her click.
00:30:33She came out.
00:30:35She was laughing.
00:30:37I was laughing when I shot her.
00:30:41You don't feel any pity, do you?
00:30:44Any remorse?
00:30:45I don't think I ever felt so good.
00:30:47How come?
00:30:48Well, uh, I, um, I, I thought I'd do something for him after all he's done for us.
00:30:58I mean, he's given us everything and asks for so little.
00:31:03How could I refuse him?
00:31:05Huh?
00:31:06How could I?
00:31:08I mean, he wouldn't ask me to do anything that wasn't right.
00:31:13They're with him now, and they must be very happy.
00:31:20You say he's, he spoke to you?
00:31:26Inside me, he guided my hand.
00:31:30Do you know something?
00:31:31I, I didn't even have to aim.
00:31:33No, I, I know what you're thinking.
00:31:37You're thinking that he asked too much of me?
00:31:41But, uh, you don't love God the way I do.
00:31:44You're a religious man.
00:31:46Not until today.
00:31:48It, it, it happened all at once, you know.
00:31:51I've been searching for this all my life.
00:31:58What was it in the Bible?
00:32:00Uh, God asked Abraham to kill his son Isaac.
00:32:06Sacrifices to your God are nothing new.
00:32:09Why are you looking at me as though I were the first?
00:32:13Life doesn't matter.
00:32:15None of this earth.
00:32:17He's up with you.
00:32:18Up!
00:32:19Up!
00:32:20See?
00:32:21Son of a bitch.
00:32:23You see this? This was your kid.
00:32:25He blew the back of his head off, you stupid bastard!
00:32:28Easy.
00:32:30Easy.
00:32:32Take him out.
00:32:39Get him out.
00:32:40Will you get him out?
00:32:42He's a nut.
00:32:43They'll put that bastard in a home.
00:32:45He'll never serve a day behind bars.
00:32:46In five years he'll be back out on the street.
00:32:48We've seen his type before, Pete.
00:32:49You and I both know that.
00:32:50But you, I've never seen you fly into a rage like that.
00:32:54You've gotta be careful.
00:32:55You might hurt somebody.
00:32:56I heard you got hurt.
00:32:57Yeah.
00:32:58Yeah.
00:32:59Yeah.
00:33:00A lady invited me up.
00:33:01Huh?
00:33:02I heard you got hurt.
00:33:03Huh?
00:33:04Uh.
00:33:05Evo.
00:33:06Uh.
00:33:07Uh.
00:33:08You've gotta be careful.
00:33:09You might hurt somebody.
00:33:11I heard you got hurt.
00:33:12Yeah, yeah.
00:33:13A lady invited me up.
00:33:16Oh.
00:33:17Uh.
00:33:18Um.
00:33:19Evo.
00:33:20Uh.
00:33:21Uh.
00:33:22Evo.
00:33:27Uh.
00:33:28Ah.
00:33:29Ha.
00:33:30Uh!
00:33:31You ever have a case where a crime was committed
00:33:35and people say that God made them do it?
00:33:40There's always some psycho around
00:33:42that says he's acting the name of the Lord.
00:33:45You know, I had women claim that they were laid by the Almighty.
00:33:51But when you looked into it, you found it was their stepfather
00:33:54or their high school teacher or someone else in the authorities
00:33:57that slipped it to them.
00:33:58The girls have wonderful imaginations, Pete.
00:34:02Yeah, yeah.
00:34:04Yeah, my friend Callahan on the Jersey State Police,
00:34:08God rest his soul, he had a case like that
00:34:11back in 50, in the winter of 50 or 51.
00:34:15The dame said God did it.
00:34:2251?
00:34:2424 years ago.
00:34:25Yeah, I'm sure it was 51
00:34:28because that was the year my eldest was confirmed.
00:34:31Oh, there were a lot of elements in that case
00:34:34that couldn't be explained.
00:34:36So they did the next best thing.
00:34:39They forgot about it.
00:34:45Sit down.
00:34:46He can't see through you.
00:34:47I don't mind having company, but I don't want to miss my show.
00:34:52Time is money.
00:34:55All right, it's a commercial.
00:34:58Now, will you tell me about Mrs. Phillips?
00:35:00The night that you found her?
00:35:01Hell, if I'd been her husband, I would have beat the tar out of her.
00:35:06She was hysterical.
00:35:07Now, I almost didn't take her into the car.
00:35:09Oh, not that I didn't play around from time to time, but
00:35:12and she didn't look seductive, you know what I mean?
00:35:16She looked like she'd been through hell.
00:35:17Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
00:35:39Put me in here.
00:35:41Put this load on.
00:35:43Well, what'd they do to you?
00:35:47Men like that ought to be hung up by their voices.
00:35:52It wasn't men.
00:35:53You don't know what you're talking about now.
00:35:55I'm going to take you to state police headquarters.
00:35:57You know, put this on you, please.
00:36:01Not that way. They're out there.
00:36:03You know, there's nothing out there but the city dump
00:36:05and an old dirt road that's havin' you.
00:36:07This is more and more.
00:36:09Okay, okay, we won't go that way.
00:36:11I'll tell you, lady,
00:36:13first police car I see you're getting out.
00:36:15I don't get any ideas about accusing me of nothing.
00:36:18It was as large as a house.
00:36:20What?
00:36:21But it didn't set on the ground. It hovered.
00:36:22Huh?
00:36:23And they raised me up and I floated up into it.
00:36:25Then they took all my clothing away, but they were very gentle.
00:36:28But I couldn't see them.
00:36:30Nothing except a single light that blinded me.
00:36:32Sure, okay.
00:36:34What are you talking about?
00:36:36Where are we?
00:36:38Well, those are the lights of Jersey City over there.
00:36:40Where do you think we are?
00:36:42They took me from Nantucket Island.
00:36:45Huh?
00:36:46I was walking on the beach alone.
00:36:47I like to be alone sometimes.
00:36:49It was a sound, a hum overhead.
00:36:51And then I couldn't move.
00:36:53I couldn't do anything.
00:36:54I looked up and it was over me like a headed cloud.
00:36:56Only it was very low.
00:36:58And then it started coming down over me.
00:37:00I want to talk about it.
00:37:02Please say something.
00:37:03I know I'm making you afraid, but talk to me.
00:37:05Uh, well, what else did they do to these people?
00:37:08They put me in the middle of this light,
00:37:11this warm-blowing light.
00:37:12What time is it?
00:37:14Boy, it's 10.34.
00:37:16It seems so long.
00:37:17It was only a little after 10 when I went out for my walk.
00:37:20Well, in Nantucket?
00:37:21And half an hour later, you're in Jersey Sound with your clothes on?
00:37:24Hey, come on, that's crap.
00:37:27Well, it mustn't have taken very long.
00:37:30Hey, did they look like us?
00:37:31I mean, they have no clothes on, too?
00:37:33They have, uh...
00:37:35I mean, did they, uh...
00:37:36Did they fool around some?
00:37:46Well, that's the last I saw of it.
00:37:48Well, I figured I was lucky.
00:37:50She didn't cry rape.
00:37:51Right?
00:37:53Yeah.
00:37:55She was raped, all right.
00:37:56A child was born of that union.
00:38:01I checked the birth record.
00:38:03What are you talking about?
00:38:05Hey, listen.
00:38:06Why don't you take the missus?
00:38:08Go down to Miami.
00:38:09Get yourself some rest.
00:38:11Look, I can prove it.
00:38:12I'm gonna find them.
00:38:14Stop talking, Nicholas.
00:38:16You're gonna screw yourself up.
00:38:18Yeah, I know.
00:38:20You've come to the wrong man, Lieutenant.
00:38:33I'm not a police reporter.
00:38:34I'm a science editor.
00:38:35Yeah, but you're interested in the outbreak
00:38:37of unpremeditated homicides, aren't you?
00:38:39Well, who isn't so?
00:38:41So in every one of these cases,
00:38:43the murderer has insisted that he committed the crime
00:38:47because God told him to do it.
00:38:52That's been kept quiet by the department.
00:38:54They don't want complications.
00:38:56Lieutenant, the religious editor is on the second floor.
00:38:59Religion by its nature indicates belief, faith of some kind.
00:39:02I'm talking about facts.
00:39:04Cold, hard facts.
00:39:06The kind you like.
00:39:07Yeah.
00:39:08You've tried the others, haven't you?
00:39:10Nobody would print it?
00:39:14That's right.
00:39:15What makes you think I'd stick my neck out?
00:39:18Every priest and rabbi from Staten Island to Yonkers
00:39:22would want to hang me by my mustache
00:39:24for making them read sacrilege over their cornflakes.
00:39:27Because you had the guts to print that stuff
00:39:29about God being an ancient astronaut.
00:39:32Now millions of books are being sold on this subject.
00:39:35You've got people who are listening.
00:39:37Hey.
00:39:40What do you think would really happen
00:39:42if somebody actually believed
00:39:44that God was exercising his will directly over the city streets?
00:39:48I mean good deeds, much less mass murder.
00:39:51Yeah, they'd be frightened, they'd be shocked.
00:39:53Maybe the killing will stop if it's been acknowledged.
00:39:57You're probably too young.
00:39:59But I was around when Orson Welles told the people over CBS
00:40:03that the Martians were in New Jersey.
00:40:05And believe me, the show was not that convincing.
00:40:08Not that good.
00:40:09And you want me to tell them that God is at 57th Street
00:40:13and Madison Avenue coaching snipers?
00:40:15You know, I'd like to see it.
00:40:30All the atheists would love it.
00:40:32What's that?
00:40:33God to show up.
00:40:34It'll finish the churches.
00:40:36All the churches.
00:40:37All my enemies would be out on their pious asses.
00:40:40Total chaos, that's what I like.
00:40:43Out of chaos comes reason.
00:40:45Out of reason, science.
00:40:47Crazy lieutenants, I'll write, they'll print.
00:40:51Don't expect headlines.
00:40:53Second section, the bottom of the page.
00:40:55And if anybody objects, we'll print more.
00:40:57And bigger.
00:40:58And bigger.
00:40:59That's journalism.
00:41:17His father was a motorman on the BMT.
00:41:20He, um, developed Parkinson's disease or something.
00:41:26So Peter became the sole support of his two brothers and two sisters.
00:41:30Um, stepbrothers and sisters, actually.
00:41:34He put both of the boys through college.
00:41:37They went instead of Peter.
00:41:40And you know he was a foster child from the Catholic children's home.
00:41:45Uh...
00:41:47The Nicholas family took him in when he was only a baby.
00:41:51So Peter felt he owed it to them.
00:41:54Where are they now?
00:41:56His, uh, adopted brothers.
00:41:58One's in California and the other died in Korea.
00:42:01Any history of nervous disorders?
00:42:04Does he sleep well at night?
00:42:06Why don't you ask his wife?
00:42:09He hasn't spent a night with her in the past four years.
00:42:12He admits that.
00:42:16He goes to church a lot, doesn't he?
00:42:19I mean, not just on Sundays.
00:42:21This is beginning to sound like an inquisition.
00:42:24I'm going home now, gentlemen.
00:42:26Oh, listen.
00:42:27We just hope you can make some sense at all of this.
00:42:29I mean, uh...
00:42:30You know, people who are too goddamn religious
00:42:34make a lot of trouble for everybody.
00:42:36He truly believes.
00:42:38And that sets them apart.
00:42:42Religion can rule a man.
00:42:46You'll see to that.
00:42:48Let's continue to battle the outbreak of religious violence
00:43:05that has spread across the city in the past week.
00:43:08Crowds proclaiming the birth of a new god
00:43:10attacked wandering and mobs and without apparent motive.
00:43:14Psychiatric experts label the phenomenon
00:43:16a classic example of mass hysteria,
00:43:19but can offer no other explanation.
00:43:33Lieutenant.
00:43:36What the hell are you doing here?
00:43:38You know better than to come down here.
00:43:40Oh, come on, man.
00:43:41It's after 10 o'clock.
00:43:42What, you afraid of the cleaning woman?
00:43:47Come on.
00:43:48Jesus Christ.
00:43:49Hey, man, look, I am very pissed, man.
00:43:51I mean, my bag man said that, uh, he made the delivery.
00:43:55But my people are still getting busted.
00:43:59It's the best I could do.
00:44:01The captain said he wanted some arrests,
00:44:03so I gave him a few.
00:44:08I've been trying to figure out a way to deal with you
00:44:13without, uh, anybody coming after me.
00:44:17Now, with all those bullshit about God,
00:44:20I think I found myself a sucker.
00:44:23Uh!
00:44:24Ah!
00:44:28Uh!
00:44:30Ah!
00:44:32Go!
00:44:33Uh!
00:44:35Uh.
00:44:38Uh.
00:44:40Uh.
00:44:41Oh, my God.
00:45:11This isn't like the others.
00:45:27Now you're going to come up with some new crackpot theory.
00:45:29It's not enough that you caused this, that you leaked it to the press,
00:45:33that you made a panic from one end of the city to the other.
00:45:36The murderers always stayed with their victims.
00:45:39They never made an effort to escape.
00:45:40There was some other reason for Jordan's death.
00:45:43Somebody had it in for him.
00:45:45He was in business for himself.
00:45:47Now what kind of an accusation is that to make about a dead officer?
00:45:52Jordan was working both sides of the street, and you know it.
00:45:55Maybe the boys up in Harlem held him responsible for their recent problems.
00:46:00First it's God, then it isn't, huh?
00:46:02I'm just saying it should be looked into.
00:46:04Get off my back!
00:46:17You used to be a pretty classy chick.
00:46:20What happened?
00:46:22Doesn't your man look out for you anymore?
00:46:23My man gave me this.
00:46:28He, um, used to be in business with the late, uh, Lieutenant Jordan.
00:46:33Wasn't he?
00:46:36How would a cop like you know that?
00:46:38They're just one of those honest ones.
00:46:39When I know him is, uh, his name was Brown.
00:46:48Joe Brown.
00:46:50He's been out of town for a while.
00:46:54How come?
00:46:56I don't know.
00:46:58Joe Brown must be a million of them.
00:47:00What's his name, Miss Martin?
00:47:01What's his name, Miss Martin?
00:47:02Zero.
00:47:04Because that's exactly what he gives us gals that work for.
00:47:07Zero.
00:47:15I'm convinced that the man who's in touch with us is everything that he claims to be.
00:47:20Yes, he's proven his control over any number of human beings.
00:47:25And he's always careful to inform us of his intentions before each of these atrocities.
00:47:29Unfortunately, one of us has betrayed his confidence to the police.
00:47:34I'm sure he knows who that person is.
00:47:38Why must he precipitate such a bloodbath?
00:47:41I mean, can't he communicate by any other media except violence?
00:47:45Exactly.
00:47:46Why can't he perform miracles, cure a few thousand people?
00:47:49Wouldn't that be more impressive?
00:47:51The only way the Lord has ever successfully disciplined us has been through fear.
00:47:55Cure a man, and you impress a few people who already believe anyway.
00:48:00Kill a multitude, and you can convince a nation.
00:48:04You ought to know that, Hirsch.
00:48:06It worked with the Egyptians.
00:48:07He killed off all their firstborn, and then they let your people go, didn't they?
00:48:11I wonder if the cost of salvation isn't a bit high.
00:48:15He's only made one request.
00:48:17There's a policeman, a detective, who seems to threaten him.
00:48:20And he wishes us to convince this man to join us without doing him harm.
00:48:25Why would he be interested in a detective?
00:48:40My boss, Mr. Richards, wants to see you.
00:48:43Get in, please.
00:48:43Get in, please.
00:49:13Get in, please.
00:49:43Thank you, John.
00:49:45Will you wait downstairs?
00:49:49Come in, won't you?
00:49:59Why don't you leave him alone?
00:50:00Who are you talking about?
00:50:01You know very well.
00:50:03What does he do?
00:50:04Give you tips on the market?
00:50:06I'm surprised that you can be so light about this.
00:50:10You've seen him recently, then, huh?
00:50:11Well, I've just come from him.
00:50:14Can't you feel his power is still in me?
00:50:16He trusts you.
00:50:17Why?
00:50:18We were chosen.
00:50:20All of us.
00:50:23Without so much as a letter, without even a telephone call.
00:50:26We knew to gather in New York on the first of the month.
00:50:31He reached inside of our minds.
00:50:36Honored us by his choice.
00:50:39Disciples, huh?
00:50:39He could have disposed of you just by willing it.
00:50:44He must have had a reason for keeping me around.
00:50:46Perhaps he feels as if he could convince a person like you.
00:50:50Don't tell me that he needs to build up his confidence.
00:50:53The last time the living God came forward on this earth, he's the one who got murdered.
00:51:01Did he ever mention his mother to you?
00:51:03Well, she's deceased, isn't she?
00:51:05Did he ever talk about her time back in 1951, when she was walking on a beach at night in Cape Cod and found herself in a meadow in New Jersey?
00:51:17I don't want to hear any more of this.
00:51:20What's the matter with you?
00:51:21I don't feel very well.
00:51:23What's wrong?
00:51:23I don't feel very well.
00:51:25All right, well, sit down.
00:51:26Get my chauffeur.
00:51:27No, get me lots of water.
00:51:32Water.
00:51:37Here.
00:51:40Slowly.
00:51:41I can't.
00:51:41I can't.
00:51:42I can't.
00:51:42I can't.
00:51:42I can't.
00:51:42Easy.
00:51:46Come on.
00:51:47It's not your heart.
00:51:48It's not your heart.
00:51:49It's him.
00:51:51Come on, fight him.
00:51:52Fight him.
00:51:53He's trying to show me.
00:51:54What do you do?
00:51:55Fight him.
00:51:58Fight him.
00:51:59Fight him.
00:52:00Fight him.
00:52:01Fight him.
00:52:01I can't.
00:52:06Come on with a Thanksgiving.
00:52:08Damn you.
00:52:09Kill me.
00:52:10Kill me!
00:52:11Kill me!
00:52:12ef Wang.
00:52:12Will.
00:52:13Kill me!
00:52:23Kill me!
00:52:23Kill me!
00:52:24Kill me.
00:52:24Kill me!
00:52:25Kill me.
00:52:26Kill.
00:52:26Kill me!
00:52:26Kill me!
00:52:27Kill me!
00:52:27Kill me!
00:52:28Kill me!
00:52:28Kill me!
00:52:30Kill you!
00:52:30Kill me!
00:52:31Let's go.
00:53:01All right, please, everybody, stand back.
00:53:24I was waiting for one of you to find me.
00:53:26I tried.
00:53:29I'm sorry. I tried.
00:53:35I'm really not very good at it.
00:53:39I wish I could pray.
00:53:40Logan, huh? That's your name?
00:53:42I warned you about the killings at the parade.
00:53:45He forgave me. He's...
00:53:48He gave me one more chance.
00:53:50He's waiting.
00:53:51Let's go there, Mr. Logan.
00:53:52I can't. Not now.
00:53:55Why not?
00:53:57I can't tell him my thing.
00:54:00You won't have to.
00:54:03I'll tell him for you.
00:54:05Come on. Let's go.
00:54:07You won't have to.
00:54:09You won't have to.
00:54:10I'm making fun!
00:54:11Come on, you won't have to.
00:54:12Come on, you won't have to.
00:54:13Come on.
00:54:15Come on.
00:54:46Well, he never comes upstairs. I always go down to the furnace room. He likes it, but it's warm and no one sees him.
00:55:15Well, he stays in hiding.
00:55:20Isolation. It isn't necessary for him to actually contact us directly anymore. He can make us know what he wishes.
00:55:31He's learning how. He's growing. He's changing every day. Becoming more powerful.
00:55:43Of course. That's okay.
00:55:50You're strong.
00:55:52You're short of me.
00:55:54You could exercise your will.
00:55:55You're short of me.
00:56:11Oh, my God.
00:56:41You brought me to you, and now you're afraid to let me see you.
00:57:11It's so important, I believe.
00:57:15What makes me different from the others you killed?
00:57:20Accept me, no questions.
00:57:25Why are you afraid of me?
00:57:32You're afraid I'll find out something?
00:57:36You can't kill me, can you?
00:57:41Because I'm different, too.
00:57:47I'm starting to feel it.
00:57:50To find out.
00:57:54I taught you that you're to be hurt.
00:57:57You stitches haven't yet healed.
00:58:00To find out.
00:58:04Ooh.
00:58:06O ye are the ones who make the stars
00:58:14and stars and stars.
00:58:20When you are the ones who make the stars
00:58:28Where's my home, where they came from?
00:58:32Where's my home, where you are?
00:58:39How you are.
00:58:43How you came from, where they came from.
00:58:58I'll get you to the floor!
00:59:16Sister, we're investigating a series of crimes,
00:59:19and we need your help.
00:59:21We need the adoption records for the year of 1941.
00:59:24We don't usually release that information.
00:59:27Well, I know you don't, but it's very important for us to locate the natural parent of this child.
00:59:34Well, the child would be a grown man by now.
00:59:38Oh, yes.
00:59:38I don't see how it could do any harm, could it?
00:59:41Not at all.
00:59:44Those records are probably been moved to the new building.
00:59:50There's no record of the father's identity.
00:59:53The child was born out of wedlock.
00:59:55No, that's all right.
00:59:56We're more interested in the mother's name.
01:00:01Mullen.
01:00:03Elizabeth Mullen.
01:00:09Thank you very much.
01:00:23Oh.
01:00:42Hello?
01:00:45I, uh, phoned earlier.
01:00:47About Miss Mullen.
01:00:48Yes.
01:00:49You didn't tell her I was coming?
01:00:51There's no need to.
01:00:52She's not going anywhere.
01:00:54None of them are.
01:00:58Would you tell me something about her, please?
01:01:00She's an old maid.
01:01:01You know the time?
01:01:03I'll bring her down for you.
01:01:04I'd rather see her upstairs, if that's all right.
01:01:06Sure, come on.
01:01:08Oh, listen, you know, we can't be responsible
01:01:09for the condition of the rooms.
01:01:11You know, these people, they like things their own way.
01:01:19There's this lady who lived next door who died a couple of days
01:01:22ago.
01:01:22I mean, she just died, sitting there,
01:01:24looking out of the window.
01:01:24Nobody even missed it till dinner time.
01:01:27Well, you know what they say, there's only one cure for old age.
01:01:33It's second door to the right.
01:01:37I'll, uh, just knock on the door, if you don't mind.
01:01:40I'm sure you have something else to do.
01:01:41I'll just knock on the door.
01:02:07Miss Mullen?
01:02:08Miss Mullin, you're a visitor.
01:02:16May I come in?
01:02:19Yes.
01:02:34Come in.
01:02:35Shut the door before there's a draft.
01:02:38It's a hot day.
01:02:44You should open the window.
01:02:46If you don't mind, I'm satisfied with the temperature in here.
01:02:50What do you want?
01:02:51Do I know you?
01:02:53I'm a policeman.
01:02:55I hope you'll be able to help me with some information.
01:02:59Well, you've come to the wrong party.
01:03:01Well, this is about something that happened a long time ago.
01:03:0535 years.
01:03:06My memory's all I have left.
01:03:10None of the other parts work very good anymore.
01:03:13Um...
01:03:14Do you remember the New York World's Fair?
01:03:19The original one in Flushing Meadows?
01:03:21Oh, yes.
01:03:22It was grand.
01:03:24My father helped build it.
01:03:26He was a construction worker, helped build the Parasphere.
01:03:33But you wouldn't remember that.
01:03:34You weren't even born then.
01:03:36Do you ever remember talking to a policeman before?
01:03:39About some problem?
01:03:41Officially, I mean.
01:03:43No.
01:03:44About the same time as the World's Fair.
01:03:47You don't remember making a statement to some officers in Queens County about a terrible experience you had?
01:03:55Why would you want to know about that?
01:03:58Well, let's just say I think it might be important.
01:04:00They wouldn't believe me then.
01:04:03Why should you believe me now?
01:04:07They made me tell the story over and over again.
01:04:11All they did was laugh.
01:04:13Pretty soon, I began to believe it never happened.
01:04:18A few weeks later, I realized I was right.
01:04:22It was the first time my father ever hit me.
01:04:27They sent me to an aunt for a few months.
01:04:32Finally, I came back and...
01:04:34the baby was born at Queens Hospital.
01:04:41So you...
01:04:42you were coming home after the fair.
01:04:45It was, uh...
01:04:46past 11 p.m.?
01:04:48I...
01:04:49I can tell more what I felt than what I saw.
01:04:59There was motion in the...
01:05:01soft sound of engines.
01:05:03And I...
01:05:04I seemed to be floating.
01:05:12It was a ball of light all around me.
01:05:20I...
01:05:26I felt it pass through me.
01:05:30And the purring sound stopped.
01:05:32And I...
01:05:35I found myself wandering down the street near my home.
01:05:38It was the next day and nobody believed me.
01:05:44And I realized I was going to have a baby and nothing could stop it.
01:05:48I'd swore to my father in Jesus' name that I never had slept with a man.
01:05:52I never had.
01:05:53I never have.
01:05:54I never have.
01:05:55Oh, you...
01:05:58You know, Miss Simmons down the hall...
01:06:01She never has either and...
01:06:03She's almost 80.
01:06:05I guess we're the only two virgins left.
01:06:11I carried that baby inside me for nine months.
01:06:15I hated it.
01:06:17I couldn't understand.
01:06:20I even thought of committing suicide, but...
01:06:23we were...
01:06:24we were Catholics, you know.
01:06:26Didn't the church help you?
01:06:28They...
01:06:29they took the baby and...
01:06:32they did put him up for adoption.
01:06:34It was a good Catholic family.
01:06:37Yes.
01:06:38They did just that.
01:06:41Somebody at the hospital told me it was a boy.
01:06:46I never felt it was mine.
01:06:48It seemed to have a life of its own.
01:06:53I'm glad I didn't see it.
01:07:04Why have you waited all this time to come?
01:07:13Who are you, really?
01:07:14You're him, aren't you?
01:07:34I don't know.
01:07:34I don't know.
01:07:37I might be.
01:07:39What are you?
01:07:42I don't know any more than you do why they put me here.
01:07:45What a reason.
01:07:46What are you going to do to me now?
01:07:47Oh, please.
01:07:49Haven't you hurt me enough?
01:07:51I was never the same after what you've done to me.
01:07:56Never.
01:07:56Please.
01:07:57Don't, don't, don't, don't touch me.
01:07:59Haven't you done enough?
01:08:00I didn't do anything to you.
01:08:02Some other force wanted me born, wanted me to be carried by you,
01:08:05wanted me to...
01:08:07wanted me to live half my life before knowing what I was.
01:08:10Why speak on me?
01:08:11Why me?
01:08:12I never hurt anyone in my whole life.
01:08:14Why do you have to hurt me now?
01:08:16Don't you see?
01:08:17What happened to you is over after I was born.
01:08:19What's happening to me is just beginning.
01:08:22You get out of here.
01:08:24Don't touch me.
01:08:26Don't ever come back.
01:08:29What are you doing to her?
01:08:31What are you doing to your mom?
01:08:32Don't, don't, don't, don't touch me.
01:08:35Don't touch me.
01:08:39You're no cop!
01:08:40Put down there, mom.
01:08:41I don't want anybody to touch me.
01:08:43I don't want anyone to touch me.
01:08:50I don't want you ever to touch me again!
01:09:05Do you know who I am?
01:09:12I suppose you're a Casey.
01:09:16Please, come in.
01:09:35He hasn't been home for three nights.
01:09:39I'm afraid.
01:09:41Peter isn't an ordinary man.
01:09:43He never has been.
01:09:46Why weren't there any children?
01:09:49I mean, he seems to have some sort of hang-up whenever I mention kids.
01:10:01I had three pregnancies.
01:10:02Each one ended in a miscarriage in the fifth or sixth month.
01:10:10Doctors could find nothing wrong with me.
01:10:13There was no reason for the miscarriages.
01:10:18No reason.
01:10:20None.
01:10:25I didn't know about that.
01:10:29He never mentioned it.
01:10:32He wasn't sorry.
01:10:37Oh, he said all the right things.
01:10:43But I felt he was relieved when the babies weren't born.
01:10:48He was always frightened of having children.
01:10:53An irrational fear.
01:10:54It's crazy, but somehow I felt he knew they wouldn't be born.
01:11:06How would he know?
01:11:07The doctor convinced me to have an operation so there wouldn't be any more pregnancies for my own well-being.
01:11:19Father Dowling sanctioned it in the name of a church for health reasons.
01:11:23Father Dowling sanctioned it in the name of a church for health reasons.
01:11:25So.
01:11:30I'm alone.
01:11:33Sometimes I sit here and wonder, who did I live with all those years?
01:11:40I'm sorry, I have to go back to the city.
01:11:59What kind of a man would hope and believe that his children would be still born?
01:12:12Can you tell me, what kind of fear is that?
01:12:14I was worried.
01:12:31I thought you might have come here.
01:12:33Come home, you mean?
01:12:37No, no, it's all right, it's all right.
01:12:38No, I'm glad you're here.
01:12:44I've never seen the two of you together before.
01:12:55Odd, isn't it?
01:12:57The two people you love the most.
01:13:00Makes saying goodbye easier.
01:13:08See, he's going away.
01:13:15That's so, isn't it, Peter?
01:13:18Well, you don't have to keep these for me anymore.
01:13:24All my life I felt so close to God.
01:13:30And it wasn't him after all.
01:13:31I wish I had saved some of that love for you.
01:13:40I wish I could do it now.
01:13:57Do you think you can set me free so easily?
01:14:01I wish I could do it now.
01:14:08Martha.
01:14:11Help her if you can.
01:14:14Like you've always helped me.
01:14:31I wish I could do it.
01:14:40But you came to her.
01:14:45Would you have come to me after her?
01:14:50Yes.
01:14:51Yes, yes, yes, yes.
01:14:53You don't have to do this.
01:14:55You're going to get hurt.
01:14:57Casey, the choices aren't mine.
01:14:59They never were.
01:15:03Honey, you don't even know who I am.
01:15:06You won't let me get close.
01:15:09There's nothing left.
01:15:13Can't you see?
01:15:15Look at me.
01:15:18Look at me!
01:15:18Can't you see me?
01:15:27Yes, I see.
01:15:30We're all just going to let go of each other.
01:15:34Okay?
01:15:37Okay?
01:15:38Okay.
01:15:41Okay.
01:15:49Okay.
01:15:49Oh, come on.
01:16:19Hey, Zero, man, did I want your customers waiting?
01:16:37Hey, man, I've been waiting for you for three hours.
01:16:41What you got there, huh?
01:16:43What is this shit?
01:16:45Oh, come on.
01:16:49You holding out on me, huh?
01:16:52Come on, empty your pocket.
01:16:53Inside out.
01:16:55I don't know you haven't got a cake someplace, huh?
01:16:58Huh?
01:16:59Come on, man.
01:17:00You're pushing me for.
01:17:01Come on, man.
01:17:02Come on, man.
01:17:03You're pushing me for 20 times, man.
01:17:08I just gave you $100.
01:17:09What's the matter to you, man?
01:17:11You're taking a look down, man.
01:17:12You didn't want a talking hair, though.
01:17:14Come on, give me some help.
01:17:15What are you doing, putting on me?
01:17:17Come on, huh?
01:17:18What's the matter to you, Zero?
01:17:19All right, thank you.
01:17:20Oh, man.
01:17:23All right, drop the paint.
01:17:24Drop him!
01:17:25You're hiding nothing, man?
01:17:26You're hiding nothing, man.
01:17:56I'm going to be good to you.
01:18:24I'm going to give you three bags.
01:18:25Man, I just gave you $100.
01:18:28Inflation, brother.
01:18:30Man, I can't go out there with thirsty and kill me.
01:18:32It's either them or me.
01:18:34Come on.
01:18:39You killed Lieutenant Jordan.
01:18:45Brush this shit down the toilet.
01:18:47Boom!
01:18:50Don't be afraid.
01:18:51You crazy mother.
01:18:57Alone, you going to bust my ass?
01:19:01They ain't going to let you do that to her brother.
01:19:08Help!
01:19:10Help!
01:19:11Help!
01:19:12Help!
01:19:13Help!
01:19:14Help!
01:19:14Help!
01:19:32Help!
01:19:33Wait a minute, man!
01:20:03Ah!
01:20:33Ah!
01:21:03Ah!
01:21:33Ah!
01:22:03We're not the same, you and me.
01:22:33I found you by myself this time.
01:22:59You've tested yourself since we last met.
01:23:02And now you've experienced it.
01:23:04I'm not gonna do it again.
01:23:06In all living things, one set of genes is dominant.
01:23:10In me, all that is human became recessive.
01:23:14And you, my brother, if I may call you that, are the reverse.
01:23:19That is why it took you so much longer to come to realize what you are.
01:23:24That is why it's so difficult for you to break with the human portion of your character.
01:23:30Why did they put the both of us here?
01:23:32You were not like them.
01:23:34So they tried again.
