00:00Hello Dramamaniacs, I'm Eli and I welcome you once again to the channel.
00:05In today's video, I'll be sharing some news from the world of Chinese films and dramas, along with a bit of gossip. So, let's get to it.
00:14We start today's video talking about Yang Yang, because as we already know, the actor had to face a lot of negative criticism for his performance in the drama Fireworks of My Heart.
00:25However, it seems that he has returned in style with the drama The Immortal Ascension, also known in Spanish as Ascensión Inmortal.
00:35The drama is based on the novel A Record of a Mortal's Journey to Immortality and its first episodes have a fairly fast pace that quickly leads to important story arcs.
00:48Immortal Ascension follows the story of Han Li, an ordinary young man who decides to defy fate and become immortal, making it a classic story of the cultivation genre centered around the main male character.
01:03Many netizens have praised Yang Yang, stating that her acting in Immortal Ascension is much more solid and that she has a natural charm that has marked her grand return to the drama world after two years.
01:18Although there are fans of the novel who feel that Yang Yang's physical attractiveness does not fit the Han Li in the novel, who is described as a simple and ordinary character,
01:31Many netizens agree that the actor captures the essence of the character not only in his physical appearance, but also in emotionally charged scenes like those in which he appears with Master Mo.
01:45Before the drama aired, the 33-year-old actor posted a meme on social media expressing that he was very nervous about the premiere,
01:55But given the success the series is having, it seems he had nothing to worry about.
02:00We continue talking about a premiere because on August 1st, the drama The Wanted Detective, formerly known as Calming Waves, will premiere on IG.
02:10The drama stars Wang Xin Yue and Xiang Han Qi and is directed by Chao Yen Tao.
02:17The drama will tell the story of Xiao Bei Mi, a former famous police officer who returns from exile to uncover the truth behind a series of murders and the conspiracy that ruined his life.
02:29In The Wanted Detective, Wang Xin Yue transforms into Xiao Bei Mi, who was once praised as the best policeman in Qi.
02:37However, on his wedding day he was accused of murdering his teacher and committing treason, forced to flee and suffering from a mysterious poison, he disappeared from the public eye.
02:49Three years later, Bei Mi returns to the capital and secretly forms an investigation team with her former partner Chong Suemang, played by Xiang Han Qi, who transforms into a daring policewoman in the series.
03:01The two join a team of colleagues with unique abilities to solve a series of murder cases that are linked to a mysterious villain.
03:10The cases will include elements of Northern Song Dynasty folklore, as well as a power struggle in the court.
03:18In addition to Wang Xin Yue and Xiang Han Qi, the research team also includes Chen Yo Wei, Chang Nan, He Luo Luo, and Deng Kai.
03:27The drama also features supporting roles for actors Shao Bi, Tan Chen Ye and Bao Zhang Fei.
