We ask showbiz reporter and musician Bev Lyons her favourite spots in the city.

00:00I'm Bev Lyons and this is my best of Glasgow.

00:03Very, very difficult to choose a best restaurant.

00:06We're in Canara right now, which is really top-notch.

00:10It's great, but there's so many fantastic places

00:14round about the Merchant City as well.

00:16Canara's great because they're really looking at

00:20expanding into a bigger sort of global audience as well.

00:25They've got very high aspirations

00:26and their food is just incredible.

00:29It's quality ingredients.

00:30It's all fresh and everything like that.

00:32My favourite pub?

00:33Well, where do we begin?

00:35I'll be honest with you, right?

00:36I'm not a big drinker,

00:38but I like going anywhere where there's a party.

00:41So for me, the ideal pub has got a bit of karaoke going on in it.

00:45I mean, you can't beat the Horseshoe Bar,

00:47but to be honest, I'd be too scared to sing in the Horseshoe Bar

00:51because it's, you know, it's heavyweight stuff there.

00:55My favourite cafe, gosh,

00:57we're throwing them at me just now.

00:59You've got Tinderbox, which is great in the West End

01:03and also here in the Merchant City.

01:06They do, you know, you know what you're getting

01:10and it's nice and frothy and it's, they make a hot, hot chocolate,

01:15which is very important.

01:16My favourite venue?

01:17Well, look, I just got to play the Barrowland Ballroom, OK?

01:21So, in my head, anyway, the Barrowland Ballroom, we know it's iconic, right?

01:28I'm not the first person, I won't be the last person to say that.

01:31I mean, we can't, we can't not mention Capaldi because he's massive

01:35and he's doing the stuff.

01:37I've had the privilege, the pleasure to have interviewed these guys as well.

01:43I have to tell you, Charlene Spateri is one of the most generous people

01:47that I've ever met. She's got such a beautiful soul.

01:51Everybody's my hero, I know that.

01:53Like, that's going to sound schmaltzy and everything, but the wee guy, the wee woman,

02:01the young, like, kid that doesn't get the recognition,

02:05the people that are doing daily things, whether it's sweeping roads,

02:10whether it's, like, doing hair, whether it's doing dishes,

02:15whether it's talking about the people that do their job,

02:18and they think that they're too humble,

02:20and they think that they're not important.

02:22They are my Glasgow heroes.

02:24They are the most important people.

02:26And also, the punters, it's the punters.
