00:00The fat cat and the clever duck. In a small, sunlit village, there lived a fat, lazy cat named Marmaloo. Marmaloo was not just any cat. He was the plumpest, roundest cat you could imagine.
00:18His fur was as soft as clouds, and his belly swayed like jelly when he walked. Marmaloo loved to eat, and though his owners fed him bowls of milk and fresh fish, he always dreamed of something different, something delicious and exciting.
00:34One bright morning, as Marmaloo lounged under the old oak tree near the pond, he saw a duck waddling along the water's edge. The duck's feather shimmered gold in the sunlight, and Marmaloo's mouth watered at the sight.
00:49Ah, what a fine feast you would make, Marmaloo whispered to himself, his whiskers twitching with excitement. The duck named Quackers noticed Marmaloo's gaze. Quackers was no ordinary duck.
01:06He was sharp, quick-thinking, and had outwitted many foxes and dogs before. Seeing the hungry look in the cat's eyes, Quackers quacked loudly.
01:18Good morning, Marmaloo. You look like you're plotting something. Marmaloo smirked.
01:24Me? Plotting.
01:26Oh, no, dear Quackers. I was simply admiring your feathers. They're so colorful. But I can't help but wonder if you taste as delightful as you look.
01:41Quackers laughed.
01:43Oh, Marmaloo, I'd be far too chewy for a fine cat like you.
01:50But, I know, a secret recipe for a tastier meal better than any duck.
01:59Marmaloo's ears perked up.
02:01A secret recipe.
02:04Tell me more.
02:06Quackers waddled closer, his eyes gleaming with mischief.
02:10Yes, but it requires a very special ingredient.
02:16Golden pawnfish.
02:18They live at the bottom of the pond, and only the cleverest animals can catch them.
02:25Marmaloo's greed and curiosity got the better of him.
02:29Golden pawnfish.
02:31That sounds delicious.
02:34How do I get them?
02:37Quackers grinned.
02:39Simple.
02:40All you need to do is jump into the pond and dive to the bottom.
02:45I'll wait here and cheer you on.
02:48Without thinking, Marmaloo leaped into the pond.
02:51But!
02:53Marmaloo had never learned to swim.
02:57He splashed and flailed, his fat belly weighing him down.
03:01Help!
03:03Help!
03:03He yelled, paddling desperately to stay afloat.
03:07Quackers quacked with laughter, but quickly pushed a floating log toward the struggling cat.
03:13Climb on, Marmaloo!
03:16I was only joking about the pond fish!
03:20Embarrassed and dripping wet, Marmaloo crawled onto the log.
03:25You tricked me!
03:28He hissed.
03:29Quackers smiled kindly.
03:31I did, but only because you wanted to eat me.
03:34We ducks have to be clever to survive, Marmaloo sighed.
03:40Perhaps you're right.
03:43Maybe I don't need to chase ducks to be happy.
03:47Fish and milk will do just fine.
03:51From that day on, Marmaloo and Quackers became unlikely friends.
03:57Marmaloo still dreamed of tasty meals, but he learned that friendship could fill his belly
04:03and heart better than any feast.
