00:00Riverside police have released body camera footage showing what led up to an in-custody death outside of a McDonald's.
00:05This is footage from June 20th. You can see officers push that man's head into the police car as they detain him.
00:12Both officers are seen punching the man, eventually causing him to fall over.
00:16It's hard to tell what happens next, but from the security video, you can see officers on top of the man.
00:22After that altercation, the man can be seen on the ground panting, saying he was in pain.
00:30Now, this all started when a McDonald's employee called 911.
00:36The man had reportedly locked himself inside the restroom and would not respond for more than an hour.
00:41Police got the man to leave the bathroom, but in the video, the man refuses to go with police, leading them to use force to detain him.
00:48Riverside police say the man was taken to the hospital. There he went into medical distress and then later died.
