Tefzel®, also referred to as ETFE (ethylene tetrafluoroethylene copolymer), is a thin but resilient insulation material designed for aerospace applications. It is ideal for use as appliance, panel, or wrapping wire and can also be used in the installation of aviation electronics equipment. Tefzel® wire’s excellent material toughness, electrical properties, and resistance to heat flames, chemicals, and radiation make it the perfect wire where high durability is required. Our Tefzel® wire also features the following: Can withstand up to 150°C while maintaining its flexibility and resistance to abrasion Tefzel® insulation resists cleaning fluids, fuels, and other high pH chemicals Perfect for use in aerospace, electronic, or high energy radiation applications Life Time Warranty

00:00Hey guys, Ed here from Donard Tools. Today I want to talk to you about our R-series of Kynar wire.
00:18This wire comes in several sizes and several colors. So we have wire sizes from 24 gauge to 30 gauge.
00:28So we have 24, 26, 28, and 30 gauge wire. It comes in six colors. Those are black, blue, green, red, white, and yellow.
00:40The wires are sold in 100 foot spools except for the 30 gauge wire also comes with 1000 foot size.
00:49Let me tell you a little bit about the wire itself. So as mentioned, this has Kynar insulation or a PBDF insulation. Kynar is a trade name.
01:01And it uses an OFHC copper wire. OFHC standing for oxygen free high conductivity. And that wire is silver plated.
01:12This wire is used in applications where weight and size really matter. This wire is typically lighter and smaller in diameter than other typical hookup wires.
01:29Another advantage of having the Kynar insulation is it provides excellent heat resistance as well as abrasion resistance.
