00:00If you're into history, then Charlottesville, Virginia is a place where you can really get into it, and so much more, like wine trails, food, and a growing art scene.
00:11In Western Albemarle County, the Crozet Artisan Depot is a gallery and shop opened by a group of artists to create a space that supports other local artists.
00:20This is a thriving artist community, and we also feel that many people come to the area and choose to stay.
00:29And in the middle of an industrial zone in the center of Charlottesville is Ix Art Park, a project where more than 45 artists contributed to public art, urban gardens, and a community kitchen.
00:49For foodies, there's a range of retro diners, ethnic cafes, and upscale eateries.
00:59And the landscape is ripe for wine. The region has more than 30 vineyards and wineries.
01:10But for fans of American history, you can take a deep dive into the lives of at least two of America's founding fathers.
01:17James Monroe, the fifth president of the United States, official residence called Highland, is now a museum.
01:24And just down the road is Thomas Jefferson's Monticello, the only presidential home designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, along with the University of Virginia Academio Village.
