00:00I need to talk to you about something. I was just down in my office, and the school called and told me that you've been having some recent troubles, that you've failed a couple of tests in the last couple of weeks, and I've seen some slippage in your grades.
00:24Is there anything wrong? Is there anything going on that I need to know about?
00:29No, I've just been having a little bit of trouble with that, especially.
00:34Are you just not understanding the material?
00:39I've just kind of been really busy working on different big projects for school, and I haven't really gotten around to doing as much of my homework as I should.
00:50Well, but you're sitting here reading. Something that I can tell is not a school book. Okay, that's a problem, right?
00:59Yes.
01:00You're normally such a good student. I've been really proud of you. Your grades are really good. I see you studying. I'm sure you're going to do really well in life, being such a good student and everything.
01:14So it just really concerned me, getting a call from the school. I was unaware. I mean, it's almost the end of the semester, and I haven't seen any sort of reports or anything in a while.
01:25So I felt pretty unaware that you were having some problems.
01:28Yeah, I'm really sorry about that. I've just been slipping up a lot lately, and I'm getting tied up with these other things. It's just been hard to get everything done.
01:38Can I get you a tutor? Do you need something like that? Okay, because I can arrange someone to help you.
01:46Okay.
01:47Alright.
01:48Well, I brought my strap in because, well, you know how it goes here in this house.
01:53Yes, ma'am.
01:54And I just really feel like I need to bring this point home a little bit and remind you what you need to do.
02:03Okay, because you're telling me that you're not having enough time to study, but I come in here and you're reading a recreational sort of book.
