00:00Hi, Movie Explainer here. Today, I'm going to explain an action movie called Go for Broke.
00:08Spoilers ahead, watch out and take care. The movie opens with a boat drifting in the middle
00:14of the ocean, where we meet our protagonist, Zhang Yao. After retiring from the military,
00:21Zhang has taken up fishing alongside his army buddies to support his family.
00:26The scene then cuts to seven months later, when he finally returns to his home. To his dismay,
00:34his restaurant is locked and his wife is nowhere to be found. A neighbor then informs Zhang that
00:40his wife has become a drug addict and is now living under a bridge alongside others like her.
00:47She lives with the trolls and Anthony Kitties now. Upon hearing this, a shocked Zhang immediately
00:54rushes there and finds his wife in a terrible state. A flashback reveals that a few months prior,
01:01some thugs had arrived at her restaurant and tricked her into drinking alcohol laced with heroin.
01:07She became addicted after that and eventually sold everything she owned.
