04:16You know, it sounds like you're scared of us as a team.
04:19I knew it was a good idea to bring Carrie along.
04:21You know the old saying, I'm the muscle, she's the mouth.
04:25All right.

14:46I know how to tax the Lancaster, too, bud.
14:47He's not about the locker.

17:55See you in the office, everyone.
17:56Ready to work.

18:50Oh, okay.
18:51That's kind of fun.
18:52Wrap bag.
18:53Glory.
18:54It looks like there's a few vintage costume pieces.
18:56Uh-huh.

18:59Yeah.
19:00Ooh.
19:01We got, like, vintage glassware.
19:04That's pretty.
19:05That's nice.

19:10Great.
19:11This is more nail stuff.
19:15Oh, cool.
19:16Oh, sweet.
19:17Polaroid.

19:52Look at the little tiny.
19:53Oh.
19:54Little seam ripper.
19:55This is cute.
19:56Is that abalone?
19:57This is Mother of Pearl.
19:58Mother of Pearl.
19:59Yeah.
20:00I feel like this is kind of a special thing.
20:02Do you?
20:03It's cute.
20:04It's almost like gold leaf.
20:06I don't know.
20:07It's pretty ornate.
20:08I think we should find someone who can tell us if this is actually Mother of Pearl and if
20:14this thing is valuable because I feel like it's pretty old.
20:17Yeah.
20:18Anything like it.
20:19Put that in the VIP pile.
20:21Ooh.
20:22Okay.
20:23What is this?
20:24That's pretty.
20:25Ooh, it's like a leather box.
20:26Oh, instruments?
20:27You have to push the button.
20:28Some instruments?
20:29Ooh.
20:30Look at this.
20:31Is she upside down?
20:32Oh, my God.
20:33It's Victorian Carrie.
20:34I'm going to put this with the baby Mother of Pearl.
20:35These sewing kits are small, but they might be worth some big bucks.
20:49We've got a DVD player.
20:50Okay.
20:51Fifteen bucks?
20:52Mm-hmm.
20:53Ten bucks.
20:54A little personal video DVD player for the car.
20:58Is this VCR?
20:59Or a DVD?
21:00Oh, this actually is worth money.
21:02I think 50 bucks.
21:03Look, it's a V.
21:04Ezra Winder.
21:05Oh, we got 60 bucks.
21:06A little pair.
21:07Okay, great.
21:08Oh, those are kind of sweet.
21:09Mexican.

21:11Hand painted.
21:12There's four of them in here.
21:14Oh, no.
21:15There's six, seven, eight.
21:16Seventy-five dollars.
21:21Sewing stuff.
21:24And other miscellany.
21:25I'm going to just say 100 bucks from this whole thing.
21:28Yeah.
21:29Bed frame, $100.
21:30Nightstand.
21:31We got the drawers out there.
21:32Fifteen bucks.
21:33Okay.
21:34That's all she wrote.
21:35That's all she wrote.
21:36We did all right.
21:37Hopefully, though, those vintage items we found will be worth a lot.
21:41Shall we ride off into the sunset?
21:46Here we go.
21:47Thanks to Dusty, I paid $1,000 for this locker.
21:50Hopefully, I don't come out a fool.
21:52Whew.
21:53Where do we start?
21:54Right there.
21:55This I saw.
21:56Brand new box right there.
21:5730 bucks easy.
21:58Whoa.
22:01Gotta be smarter than the suitcase.
22:03Here we go.
22:04Hey, this one looks pretty good, though.
22:06Old droid.
22:07Got the little ring holder.
22:08Ooh, this is a nice-looking purse right here.
22:09Look how clean it is.
22:10Still got the tags.
22:11Ooh.
22:12That's a nice one right there.
22:13$100 on this bag.
22:20Man, that Lord of Lancaster strength is coming in handy today.
22:27All righty.
22:28Saved by LaBelle.
22:29A little beat up, but $20.
22:31This just might belong to the Prince of Palmdale.
22:33I'll have to give it back to him.
22:34Bam.
22:35This TV right here, $50 in great shape.
22:38Still got the little plastic coming off of it.
22:41That is cool.
22:42$5.
22:43Ooh.
22:44Ooh.
22:45I believe that's a silver hairbrush on the outside.
22:47I know it's going to have chalk in the inside, but that's a good $70 right there.
22:50Ooh.
22:51That's probably real silver right there.
22:52It does look like it.
22:53Another $40.
22:54This.
22:55Ugh.
22:56Well, it's already this tall.
22:57Together, that's going to be like an eight-foot china cabinet.
22:59Top and bottom, no cracks, no dings, no breaks.
23:02In excellent condition, $600 china cabinet.
23:05This is heavy.
23:06A little portable computer desk.
23:07$20.
23:08Purse.
23:09Purse.
23:10Purse.
23:11Purse.
23:12Wallet.
23:13Purse and wallets.
23:14Got about $200 of the purse and wallets in there.
23:15Alrighty.
23:16What's this?
23:17Holiday doll.
23:18Ooh.
23:19Ooh.
23:20Here we go.
23:21Do it the easy way.
23:22Reel.
23:23A little bit of reel.
23:24Ooh.
23:25Ooh.
23:26Ooh.
23:27Here we go.
23:28Do it the easy way.
23:29Reel.
23:30A little bit of reel.
23:32Ooh.
23:33Ooh.
23:34Ooh.
23:35Reel.
23:36$150.
23:37The rest of that, no money.
23:38I think this goes with those two dressers.
23:40All together, $75.
23:42Ooh.
23:44Ooh.
23:51This is some weird-looking stuff here.
23:53Looks like the Knights of the Round Table.
23:54Ooh, that's like a Merlin hood.
23:57Merlin was a creepy dude.
23:59Ooh.
24:00Oh, man.
24:01Ooh.
24:02You wear this sucker, you ain't getting hurt.
24:04Frodo!
24:05Your brain's just protected.
24:07It actually fit pretty good.
24:08I thought my head was too small, but this fit perfect.
24:11Priceless if you're getting a head with a sword.
24:13Gotta be careful.
24:14I might break all this stuff.
24:15Looks pretty delicate.
24:17Ooh.
24:18That's so cool.
24:19Even got a thumb protector right there.
24:21Well, guys, I don't know much about this, but you know what I'm saying.
24:26If I don't know what something's worth, find somebody who do.
24:30Ooh, that's sweet.
24:32That's gonna give me a good $75.
24:34All right.
24:35Come on out.
24:36Ooh.
24:37No wonder it's so heavy.
24:38Look at it squishing the tote.
24:40This looks like five Mustangs, hauling butt.
24:42These things I've seen sell over the years from, you know, $2,000 down to about $500.
24:48But this one's a little bigger and heavier than what I've seen.
24:50And this is, ugh.
24:51100 pounds, probably iron, grass, who knows?
24:55$750.
24:56Easy.
24:57Here, we have four legs, the table, eight chairs.
25:00So this is a big table.
25:02Pretty good condition.
25:03Only a few scratches.
25:04Thick wood, real wood.
25:05Easy $500.
25:06There's a wash machine here, $150.
25:08A lamp, kind of ornate.
25:10$20.
25:11That looks like about it.
25:12As Julius Caesar once said, Vinnie, Vidi, Vici.
25:17Look it up, people.
25:18Not a bad plunder for the Lord of Lancaster.
25:20Now I've got to go see what this medieval stuff is worth.
25:23Whew.
25:24Hey, anybody got a time machine?
25:29Look at the lamp.
25:30Look at the place.
25:31Good.
25:32So cute.
25:33So cute.
25:34You must be Miss Shannon.
25:35I am.
25:36Why don't you ladies come have a seat?
25:38Carrie and I are meeting with the owner of Miss Shannon's Sewing, Miss Shannon,
25:43to see if she can pin down exactly what we found the other day.
25:47Let's start with this pretty thing.
25:49I love this.
25:50This is leather.
25:51I love the gold inlay and all the different things that are stamped on there.
25:56Oh, wow.
25:57So this is the early, early version of a sewing kit.
26:00Like, you know, when you go to the grocery store and you see the little plastic sewing kits?
26:04Mm-hmm.
26:05So this is all done by hand.
26:07It's probably Victorian during the Victorian era.
26:11Oh, those hands were so teensy.
26:13So tiny, right?
26:14So, yes.
26:15And it did belong to a lady because there's a difference in sewing.
26:20There's plain sewing, which is mending and darning, which was done by the maid.
26:25Okay.
26:26And then there's fancy sewing.
26:27Oh.
26:28Which was done by the lady.
26:29So typically a lady would come over with her sewing and they would be in a circle.
26:34And it would be a thing of prestige, like, hmm, look at my sewing kit.
26:39Like, I'm a very fancy lady.
26:41Wow.
26:42And then, like, gossiping.
26:43That was their Instagram was, like, the sewing circle.
26:46Oh, right.
26:47The sewing circle.
26:48And finding out everything going on in the village.
26:51So this could be something where you lay the scissors on or lay your needle on.
26:58This is a small spool for holding thread.
27:01If you're doing embroidery and you're going to put your project away, you want to put your
27:05extra thread here and then just hold it for the next time.
27:09This is a hand embroidered pin cushion.
27:12There's a flap.
27:13It lifts up.
27:14What goes in there?
27:16It's so cute.
27:18Pins.
27:19Pins.
27:20These are the scissors.
27:22There's roses here.
27:24It's just beautiful.
27:25So this is a seam ripper.
27:27If you make a mistake, you're able to get, you pick up the seam and then rip.
27:34This is so sharp.
27:35Could you imagine?
27:36You're just, like, doing a little seam ripping and then cut a bitch.
27:41Oh.
27:42Don't mess with Miss Shannon.
27:44Yikes.
27:45Remind me not to piss off this sweet, soft-spoken sewing lady.
27:48This is a thread cutter.
27:52You put the thread in between here and then it cuts it.
27:55Wow.
27:56And this is gold.
27:57Wow.
27:58Look at all the little details.
27:59And then you see how there's a mirror?
28:01I love that.
28:02Isn't that beautiful?
28:03Yeah.
28:04Lisa finds a mirror.
28:05Don't worry.
28:06Find the mirror.
28:07Amazing.
28:08Okay.
28:09There's more.
28:10Take a look at that.
28:11I love this.
28:12Wow.
28:13Mm-hmm.
28:14So what I thought this was was a jewelry holder, but it isn't.
28:17It's another sewing kit.
28:19Even tinier sewing kit.
28:20For even tinier ladies.
28:22Look at this thimble.
28:24Oh.
28:25Oh.
28:26Isn't that great?
28:27Gold needles.
28:28Really great.
28:29And it's gold.
28:30These scissors are amazing.
28:32Oh my God.
28:33They're so little.
28:34Look how cute they are.
28:35Is it also Victorian, do you think?
28:36Yes.
28:37This is also Victorian.
28:38The clasp still works.
28:40Oh yeah.
28:41That looks good.
28:42Isn't that nice?
28:43This is mother of pearl.
28:44Hmm.
28:45Okay, so now you've seen everything.
28:48How much can we stitch together?
28:50Well, there's damage here.
28:53Mm-hmm.
28:54Like the ribbon inlay is damaged.
28:56There's a little bit of mold right here, which could be repaired.
29:01This is beautiful.
29:02Just lovely.
29:03And this, I'm really surprised by this, that it's actually a sewing kit.
29:09I really thought that this was something that you put your jewelry in while you're sewing
29:13and while you're crafting.
29:14There's a little bit of damage, but that's okay.
29:17Everything about this is just so precious and beautiful.
29:20So total, I'd say...
29:251,200.
29:26Oh, nice.
29:27Yes.
29:28That's awesome.
29:29Yeah.
29:30Sweet.
29:31Double bind power equals double profits.
29:34Seamlessly done.
29:35Okay.
29:36Seamlessly done.
29:37I'll just use my giant lady hands and see my way out.
29:39Well, let's see what I got.
29:45Are you ready?
29:46Because I'm excited.
29:47This locker is so big, we had to go back and get my truck.
29:51But at least Lupe's car won't get dirty.
29:53Ah!
29:54So is it everything you hoped and dreamed for?
29:58Somehow it's not looking as good as I remember.
30:03Let's load the best stuff in the truck first.
30:05Okay.
30:06While we're doing this, keep in mind, there's a lot of stuff.
30:08So if it looks like mail, then move it along.
30:10No value.
30:11Be careful.
30:12Why?
30:13You made a mess.
30:14But why?
30:15I don't know.
30:16This is not a good start.
30:17We have to wait for another empty box.
30:18Oh, yeah.
30:19All right.
30:20Perfumes, sprays, I say $10.
30:23That?
30:24Where's the Versace?
30:25It's in there.
30:26Oh, it's right there.
30:27Look at this.
30:28This is Gucci.
30:29Probably have $100 right there.
30:30Woohoo!
30:31This looks like new household goods.
30:32Woohoo!
30:33People like this.
30:34Yeah, look at this.
30:35Yeah.
30:36Look at this.
30:37This is Gucci.
30:38Probably have $100 right there.
30:39Woohoo!
30:40This looks like new household goods.
30:42Woohoo!
30:43People like this.
30:44Yeah, look at this.
30:45Yeah, look at this.
30:46What's even boxes?
30:47I don't know.
30:48They fall apart.
30:49There's brand new silverware.
30:51Yeah.
30:52And then we have a lot of other brand new stuff.
30:54So, I mean, there's at least $50 in here.
30:56Woohoo!
30:58Let's go for black and yellow toast.
31:00The black and yellow toast is where we put the good stuff.
31:03Ooh, shoes.
31:04Ooh.
31:05Some of these don't even look.
31:06They look new.
31:07I mean, in used shoes, you've got at least like $50.
31:09It's like one of those we've only just begun type of deals.
31:12These people spared.
31:13Oh, wow.
31:14That is a lot of shoes.
31:15$40?
31:16Yeah.
31:17Did you buy these?
31:18More shoes.
31:19Are these cleats?
31:20Yeah.
31:21You can at least get $40.
31:23Here's all your jewels.
31:24Okay.
31:25Here's a ring box.
31:27Is it in there?
31:29Yeah, girl.
31:30You got you some gold.
31:31Really?
31:32Look at it.
31:33It's perfect for you, too.
31:34It says, Mom.
31:35Really?
31:36Yeah.
31:37$200 in gold?
31:38Yes.
31:39I can smell the gold.
31:40I saw the little box on it.
31:42I have to look at every single piece.
31:44No, you don't have to.
31:45You can go really quick.
31:46Yeah.
31:47There's nothing else right there.
31:48Could be what you missed here.
31:49Wait.
31:50What is this?
31:51No way.
31:52That's too big.
31:53You'd be too lucky if that was gold.
31:54Sweetheart.
31:55I'm getting excited.
31:56I think you hit.
31:57Italy.
31:58This is, this is, this is.
31:59Wait, does it say Italy?
32:00That's 14 carat.
32:01Really?
32:02That is a, that is a, this is like 2,000 gold.
32:03Just this paid for my whole room.
32:04Just that little piece.
32:05Okay, let's go.
32:06Sniffing out the gold's my specialty.
32:07I mean, the nose knows.
32:09I'm just gonna move this to right here.
32:10Bye.
32:11I'm just gonna move this to right here.
32:12Bye.
32:13Oh, my God.
32:14Oh, my God.
32:15Oh, my God.
32:16Oh, my God.
32:17Oh, my God.
32:18Oh, my God.
32:19Oh, my God.
32:20Oh, my God.
32:21Oh, my God.
32:22Oh, my God.
32:23Oh, my God.
32:24Bye.
32:26A lot of cups for a lot of alcohol.
32:28At least 50 bucks.
32:29Here comes the clothes.
32:31I mean, this is at least $50.
32:34More clothes.
32:36This is what we call baby tees, and there's a lot of them.
32:40Like $300.
32:41Purses.
32:42I see some polo, Ralph Lauren.
32:44Maybe $100.
32:45Here, clothes.
32:47I see velour.
32:48Could be juicy couture.
32:49$50.
32:50I'm just gonna say $100 more of clothes here.
32:53There's, like, 40 more boxes here.
32:54Probably have over $1,000 worth of more great flea market stuff.
32:59It's all good.
33:00Hmm.
33:01I'm gonna start loading up now.
33:02All right.
33:03Now I gotta figure out how to get down from here.
33:06Ivy is a tool expert, so I thought maybe he could tell me what this telescopey tooly thing is.
33:21Hey, Ivy.
33:22Yeah?
33:23Hey, bro.
33:24I got this thing.
33:25I don't know what it is.
33:26Maybe you can tell me what it is.
33:27Let's call a car.
33:28Nah.
33:29Is it the trunk, dog?
33:30Oh.
33:31What you wanna say?
33:32Let's call a car, brother.
33:33Cool little old school box.
33:34Yeah, let me go.
33:35Ooh.
33:36I know what that is.
33:37What is it?
33:38That's one of the things they measure the land with is level and all that stuff.
33:39They tell if it's flat or healy or how long and all that.
33:40You know what?
33:41Perfect timing.
33:42Hey!
33:43How you doing, bro?
33:44Doing good.
33:45How are you?
33:46What's your name?
33:47Zamp.
33:48Zamp?
33:49Zamp.
33:50That's my boy Ivy.
33:51Ivy said you probably could tell me what this is.
33:53Yeah, I think so.
33:54It looks pretty familiar to me.
33:55I think that might be some sort of survey instrument.
33:56Come on, Ivy.
33:57No, no, no.
33:58I got stuff to do.
33:59Oh.
34:00All right.
34:01So what are you doing out here?
34:02I'm actually making some content for some land surveying classes that I teach.
34:05I'm a land surveying professor at College of the Canyons.
34:08Oh.
34:09Yeah, so I got all my survey stuff set up.
34:11Yeah.
34:12Let's see what we got here.
34:13You definitely got a survey.
34:14What's your name?
34:15What's your name?
34:16Zamp.
34:17Zamp.
34:18Zamp.
34:19Zamp.
34:20Zamp.
34:21Zamp.
34:22Zamp.
34:23Zamp.
34:24Zamp.
34:25Zamp.
34:26Zamp.
34:27Zamp.
34:28I have an instrument here.
34:29This is an old transit.
34:30Let me see if I can get this out.
34:31There we go.
34:32So, land surveyors, engineers, any type of construction work, layout.
34:35You would use one of these so you could get accurate points to draw a map.
34:39And that's how we put coordinates on points and we make maps.
34:42So, property lines, topographic maps.
34:45Some of these, like this era, would have been used in, like, mine surveys.
34:49I've pretty much got, like, the great grandson of this thing over here.
34:52You're telling me this is this?
34:54And that is this?
34:55pretty much what you're looking at right here this is like your main eyepiece scope part that's right
35:01through here right so that's just looking through this you've got a compass down here for angles
35:07you've got another one on the side here on this wheel for verticals mine's all digital but it's
35:13all there so you don't even have to write anything down anymore that's cheating man it is a little
35:17bit yeah but um they got some information in this right here so this one right here it's got the
35:22name on is the keffel and esser co from new york you know i think that company might actually still
35:26be around or at least they made stuff for quite a while how does this work man well if you want i
35:32could just try to show you quickly how it would be on top of the tripod and working so let's see if we
35:37put this up here and we're just gonna pretend keep a hand on it yeah it's got a couple of things to
35:44help you center it yeah it actually has the ability to slide on this plate right here and then this is
35:50your leveling procedure you've got these two bubbles which are used for getting the whole instrument
35:55level then you've got a bubble on the site right here this is for getting it perfectly level we've
36:02got looks like focus knob you got another little like eye relief focus right here you can see it
36:07coming in and out so you cite some reference line from endpoint to endpoint and then i could turn it off
36:14and then go a distance and put coordinates a whole bunch of radio lines coming out and then like
36:18like you can actually put it online and make a map up to start making the map and then go a distance
36:23and put coordinates on another point i know he said these things help mix maps but i'm lost america
36:31so um can you uh put a price on this old binocle set so these are really worth something to the
36:39surveyor and the engineers are being the ones that that's your marketing engineers got a lot of money yeah they do
36:44so this transit in this condition the box i mean you got the stuff i mean it still feels like it's
36:51in perfect working order i mean usually these things are all bound up and stuck up if somebody
36:56took care of this one it looks pretty nice
37:00surveyor says probably about 800 bucks
37:04survey says i'm a winner thank you so much appreciate you my man no worries anytime have a good one you too brother
37:21today i'm at the cauldron spirits and bruise to see what this medieval stuff is worth
37:25i'm meeting with brian baron meeting with brian meeting with brian malar damn i'm meeting with
37:34meeting with brian brian baron
37:39brian
37:41oh lord ivy calvin yeah he's more than welcome
37:55oh these are nice oh thank you i definitely see some medieval accoutrements here so how'd you come
38:01to know about all this stuff well i'm part of west march which is a non-profit organization it focuses
38:07on creating an inclusive community designed to get people outside learning about the arts and the
38:13sciences and participating in a game we call amped guard while we create weapons we have a game that
38:20allows us to use them in a safe environment talk medieval to me what i'm seeing in front of me here
38:25is a very common nasal helm to protect that brain you're gonna need a helmet what we have here is what i
38:32would call a norman helm norman and this helm here would be designed to give to a foot soldier somebody
38:39who's going to have to uh move great distances would want to wear this helmet as opposed to a much heavier
38:45helmet because they've got a lot of places to be but they still want to keep their head protected
38:49so would that take a hit in the head with a sword uh once oh only once metal was designed
38:55to stop swords so that's where you saw the implementation of axes and maces and other blunt
39:02instruments you can make a dent in this a lot easier than you can make a cut into this this is
39:08handcrafted and i can tell that because the rivets inside are punched those are hand done somebody took
39:14time to actually put this together when i picked this up i expected this to be a mass production
39:20helmet until i saw the inside with the punch rivets that actually increases the value a little bit i
39:25really like this item more than i thought i did when you put it on the table okay now for the gauntlets
39:32over here this is actually a combination we have gauntlets and greaves together as you can see i'm wearing
39:40greaves i do not have the gauntlets on so i can actually grab things in an easier capacity i see
39:46we have a fine workman's glove on the inside with articulated fingers and we see the articulated
39:52greaves as well so when you go up the arm it still allows you flexibility which is very nice
39:58i've heard running a gauntlet is that the same thing well no the gauntlet as you know of course is
40:03running through a challenging course in this situation a more apt phrase might be throwing down the gauntlet
40:09which would be issuing a challenge by dropping a gauntlet on the table so if i threw that in
40:14front of somebody i'd be like it's time to fight yes it would be considered an aggressive move oh
40:18i think i'd fit in on those times i think you might do well you definitely are formidable as you stand
40:23all righty and we have a cloak now sir spade i may need your assistance with this as i am seated i'd
40:30like to see the length oh that is nice being of wool it would keep somebody very warm we have a wonderful
40:37brass accoutrement up there wonderful gold edging and the cloak will keep you warm on any of the
40:43coldest nights sir spade will you please add the hood and then give us a little spin let's see how
40:49this works that is outstanding the lord of lancaster would like to know how much do i have in my wares
40:57what you have here is three items of true genuine quality there's going to be somebody who's looking to
41:03add this to their collection maybe to finish off their accoutrements none of this is knockoff none
41:08of this is in bad condition it's wonderful stuff 650 the lord is happy a small triumph but a good day's
41:21work for the lord of lancaster well met my friend i hope to see you on the field of battle in the future
41:26you will come on spade let's go get us a drink whoa i'm following you spade
41:33all hail ivy calvin whose reign brought forth 2500 buckaroos dusty and lupe paid some heavy taxes
41:42but still managed to take home 2300 in profit lisa delario stitched together a tidy 1400 bobbins
41:52while kenny crosley surveyor says mapped out a nice chunk of change i would like to present something
42:00to you from west march please stand for goods recognized as fine wares and for stout perseverance
42:13in achieving honor and success amp guard kingdom of west march dubs you lord ivy calvin oh awesome thank
42:22you thank you thank you it's going up on my wall glad maybe even the fridge
