00:17:30David is the only king
00:21:59At our church
00:33:31OK, allons-y over les règles.
00:33:33No biting, eye gouging, knuckle gouging,
00:33:36pinching, twisting of the flesh, no throat strikes of any kind.
00:33:41No pulling hair, no knees to the head or neck on a grounded opponent.
00:33:47No spiking your opponent.
00:33:48So if you pick this guy up and don't drop him directly on his head,
00:33:53you have to have an arch.
00:33:54Everybody understand that?
00:34:00It's gotten kind of hard to find opponents,
00:34:02especially in my weight class with me having the amount of fights that I have.
00:34:07Tonight, I'm going to be fighting Mike Pagano.
00:34:09You know, I know Mike.
00:34:11He's a friend of mine.
00:34:12I consider him a friend.
00:34:13I know he's tough.
00:34:14His record is 6-0 currently.
00:34:17But no matter what happens tonight,
00:34:19I know it's going to be a learning experience
00:34:20for when I find my next opponent.
00:34:22Oh, hey.
00:34:33Yeah, best luck.
00:34:35Elbows, elbows.
00:34:37Up, up, up, up, up, up, up.
00:34:39Oh, hey!
00:34:41Nice, nice, nice.
00:34:41Nice, nice, nice.
00:34:43Let's go back.
00:34:44Drop it, drop it.
00:34:45Oh, punch.
00:34:50Punch, punch.
00:34:50You good?
00:34:52PUSH! PUSH! PUSH!
00:35:22Good to have Preston in one piece with us today.
00:35:33Amen. He is the pastor of Disaster and also our associate here at Freedom.
00:35:41Let him give you a good report. Alive is a good thing. Amen.
00:35:46And let's welcome Preston. He has some announcements. Give us a report.
00:35:50So I had a fight last night and it didn't go exactly like I would have loved it to go as my right eye will be a testimony to but in life you have to be willing to take risks otherwise you might as well just stay home sometimes you take a risk and it works out in your favor and sometimes you take a risk and you get punched in the face but if all you do is fight the easy battles and you dodge the hard ones then you're never going to get anywhere in life.
00:36:20Coming off a loss it makes me want to have my hand raised again. Once I heard that there was another pastor that was fighting I thought it would be good to get connected and see if we could meet up in the cage.
00:36:33I'm going to throw this out there there's a possibility that I may be fighting against a pastor from Florida. So yeah everybody go ooh. You guys like to see me fight another pastor?
00:36:44So um we'll see what happens. We'll see if we can put this thing together. It's going to be exciting. It's going to be a good one. Watch a couple pastors beat each other up.
00:36:55My promoter said if you're interested he'd be willing to pay your way to fly you up here.
00:37:00I'm taking the fight with Nashawn because he's 2-0. Um also because it's going to be fun to fight another pastor.
00:37:11You know sometimes people get weird about punching a pastor in the face and I know it's not going to be weird for him and it's not going to be weird for me.
00:37:17So we'll just be a couple of God-fearing men punching each other in the face.
00:37:21All right let's go.
00:37:30Now your stance up again.
00:37:33My name is Scott Sullivan. I am a martial arts expert. I run a martial arts studio here in Houston called Bam Bam Martial Arts.
00:37:40I also produce mixed martial arts training videos.
00:37:43I got into martial arts when I was a little kid. Started taking lessons and then just uh fell in love with martial arts and been doing it my whole life.
00:37:55I did pretty well in my sport when I was in my 20s. I reached the level of a United States kickboxing champion and shootboxing champion.
00:38:03I can understand the appeal of MMA. I think as human beings, especially as men, it gives a level of excitement that probably no other sport has. Let's just be honest. It is very exciting to watch.
00:38:20As I progressed in my Christian life, I started to see a conflict there.
00:38:41I was just uh, feeling bad about going to work. It just didn't jive with my prayer life and I couldn't put my finger on it. It's just something, there was this discordant tone in my life.
00:38:57Any serious Christian at all is going to say that one of the primary teachings of Christianity is that you love your neighbor as yourself.
00:39:03Can you love your neighbor as yourself and then at the same time knee him in the face as hard as you can?
00:39:11Um, some people would say that mixed martial arts is still a violent act, but I think that depends on your definition of violence.
00:39:25I don't think it's violent at all and I hate the use of that word the way most people use it.
00:39:29The word violent, if you go back and you research the word, actually means to violate somebody's rights. It's not violent at all.
00:39:34Go down the street and somebody gets raped or robbed, that's violence. Murder, that's violence.
00:39:39This is two participants entering into a ring or a cage saying, we're going to test each other today and the best man's going to win.
00:39:47That is not violence.
00:39:48The immediate object of this sport is intending to damage someone. It's the goal of the game.
00:40:04You know, for me, I don't go into the ring looking to hurt anyone, looking to embarrass anyone, or fighting for me is really more of an art form.
00:40:12The other guy knows it's a sport, and I know it's a sport, and we get in there to just see who's the better guy at the sport, I don't think that's not loving your neighbor.
00:40:23There's a lot of love between the two fighters. I mean, come on.
00:40:33You can say you love the person, but you're not demonstrating that in any way, shape, or form as you're beating that person up, almost beating that person to death.
00:40:41This type of activity, because of the nature of it, it fosters a brutal spirit, a brutal mindset, not just as a competitor, even as a spectator.
00:40:58I think for a Christian to fight, there has to be a good reason, a morally sufficient reason, and I don't see the reasons that a lot of the guys were fighting for in mixed martial arts doing it for that reason.
00:41:28I think Christianity makes demands on us, you know, to be serious about your faith. It should show, and the way you live, and it did with me.
00:41:44Here I am, I'll go to my death thinking, love your neighbor as yourself, and at the other time, I promote punching someone in the face for fame, money, and a little bit of glory.
00:41:55I may have to do something else. I'm conflicted. I'm conflicted, absolutely.
00:42:09There you go. Mommy's covered.
00:42:16I think I kind of heard about it as like, oh, we're all involved in this tournament, and I said to Paul,
00:42:24are you actually, like, grappling in this tournament? And he said, oh, yeah, I am. So, that's how I found out.
00:42:33I just kind of want to see where I am. After years of not competing, and just coaching, and training, and teaching in different groups,
00:42:39I kind of want to see where I stand. If I do well today, I think I would love to try another MMA fight,
00:42:47and see what happens if it opens up in New York, and we could even have one at the church, which would be nice.
00:42:53Preparing for battle.
00:42:54I prepare myself spiritually for competition. Just, you know, read my Bible. Last night, I read Psalm 86,
00:43:04which is about David facing his enemies. And, well, these aren't enemies. They're just other guys in sports.
00:43:10Either way, I want people here to see that you can love Jesus, and, you know, be a warrior, and have a warrior's heart at the same time.
00:43:17If Paul were to fight competitively again, I would enjoy seeing him do it, but also understand that he has a family, has responsibilities.
00:43:30He has a ministry, and he knows that his first obligation is his ministry for the Lord God.
00:43:37And so I know that if he were to choose that, that he would choose it for God's glory, not for his own,
00:43:45and would do it in order to reach people with the gospel.
00:44:07If he came and he told me that he wanted to actually pursue MMA, because of all of his injuries in the past,
00:44:16I think I would just ask a lot of questions. I don't know. I don't know if it's realistic to think that he could actually do MMA.
00:44:25I would have liked to have won, but it doesn't always happen.
00:44:47Rolling around here today definitely lights a fire for wanting to fight MMA.
00:44:50If they legalize it in New York, I'd like to take one of the first fights in New York. That'd be great.
00:44:54It definitely puts a little fire into me and wants me to be able to throw some hands,
00:44:59because there's so many positions I get to where I could be whaling down some shots in a normal fight, you know,
00:45:05so I kind of miss that.
00:45:18Daddy, use it. Shut up, nag.
00:45:22I bought my son his first gun. It's .22.
00:45:26Uh, he's actually probably better than I am after playing all the video games at me.
00:45:30The last time I took him, I bought a buddy's gun, and he was just, like,
00:45:32all over. I mean, he was good. So, it's gonna be a lot of fun.
00:45:37All right. Hey, why don't you...
00:45:39I'm gonna smack you.
00:45:42Right there.
00:45:43Don't touch, Colin.
00:45:44That was a good one. I knew it was bleeding right away.
00:46:01How bad does it bleed?
00:46:03It's not bad, is it?
00:46:04What happened?
00:46:05Just a piece of the, uh, the metal bounced off and hit me in the throat.
00:46:13Son, do not put your finger in the trigger.
00:46:17I think, uh, mainstream or Western Christianity has feminized men.
00:46:21We've taken away their God-given attributes of aggressiveness, of competitiveness.
00:46:26We expect men to be prim and proper, and you gotta be polite all the time, and you never respond,
00:46:30uh, with aggression and with force. Uh, almost like they act like females.
00:46:34Now, is the gun on fire or on safety? Stop.
00:46:38Here.
00:46:39There you go. Good.
00:46:41Now, aim.
00:46:42Put your finger in the trigger well. Squeeze. Breathe.
00:46:47Stop.
00:46:52Did you get hit in the mouth?
00:46:53I think that the vast majority of problems we're having in our culture today are because
00:47:04we don't have a warrior ethos. We have a bunch of cowards.
00:47:06Drop the magazine.
00:47:08Because you stopped because you got hit in the mouth and you started crying about it.
00:47:13Aiden, you ready?
00:47:14I think that a warrior ethos, if properly developed, will do nothing but help our society.
00:47:20Do put your finger in there until you're ready to shoot.
00:47:23Now, aim.
00:47:28Good.
00:47:36No, stop.
00:47:38Keep your finger out of the trigger well, son.
00:47:42You okay?
00:47:47I don't have a problem with aggression at all.
00:47:52If we would raise our boys to be men of honor and integrity and strength who will stand up to evil
00:48:03and wickedness and unrighteousness, these kind of problems go away.
00:48:06Anyone who says that we need a warrior kind of mentality and way really doesn't understand what the Lord's all about.
00:48:18It's a crazy notion.
00:48:19I mean, war hurts.
00:48:21War demeans.
00:48:24Violence does that.
00:48:25It makes us less than we should be.
00:48:27And it's a sign of a sickness in society if there are people who say that this is a good thing.
00:48:33Some people would look at it and say, oh, you know, isn't Jesus a pacifist?
00:48:40Well, he told Peter, sell your coat and buy a sword.
00:48:43You're going to need your sword more.
00:48:44Most Christians have this attitude that we're floating down a canoe on a gentle river drinking a Pepsi.
00:48:54And that's not it.
00:48:57God warns, be sober, be vigilant, for your adversary, the devil, walks about as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour.
00:49:04So Satan sees you as a Big Mac, you know?
00:49:09And he wants us to be aware that this is a battlefield.
00:49:12Jesus said, upon this rock, I will build my church.
00:49:17Now listen to the next words.
00:49:19And the gates of hell will not prevail against it.
00:49:24Which means we need to charge them, not wait for them to come to us.
00:49:33It's kind of interesting.
00:49:40Hi, guys.
00:49:40We having fun?
00:49:41Thank you.
00:49:42Yeah.
00:49:43Okay.
00:49:43Yep.
00:49:44We're going to have a little Bible story.
00:49:46And we're all going to be super quiet when we do our Bible story.
00:49:48Otherwise, we're doing way too many push-ups.
00:49:52My dad was definitely my mentor and the guy that got me started in fighting and wrestling and stuff growing up.
00:49:58And now it's my son doing that with me.
00:50:00You know, we'll be rolling around wrestling and I'll start getting him.
00:50:02We go tap, tap, tap.
00:50:03And as soon as I let off him, he'll throw another shot.
00:50:05He loves it.
00:50:06I mean, every day we roll for a half hour.
00:50:12I started with my dad at three and I started Xander at three.
00:50:16Don't give up, buddy.
00:50:18Don't turn your back.
00:50:19Do not turn your back on her.
00:50:21Hands up.
00:50:22Come on.
00:50:22Keep your footwork right.
00:50:23Footwork.
00:50:24Jab cross.
00:50:25I'm okay with him fighting, but he's just got the cutest face.
00:50:29And I don't want to see anything happen to that cute little face of mine.
00:50:33He was actually wrestling with one of the other little boys not too long ago and he tapped
00:50:39him out and the little boy started crying and he come up and he says, fighting is what
00:50:42fighting is.
00:50:43You just got to deal with it.
00:50:46Take my back.
00:50:47You know, God raises some people up and allows them to have skills to protect others.
00:50:53There's a fruit of the spirit in the scripture called gentleness.
00:50:56And gentleness is born out of power.
00:51:00It's not born out of weakness.
00:51:01So when he says, be gentle, it's because you have the ability to not be gentle.
00:51:06Listen to me.
00:51:08We love.
00:51:09Look at me.
00:51:11Love.
00:51:12I think it's completely healthy to teach kids martial arts and training if it's balanced
00:51:18with love.
00:51:19Hard work.
00:51:20Dedication.
00:51:21Hard work.
00:51:22Dedication.
00:51:23Hard work.
00:51:24Dedication.
00:51:25Hard work.
00:51:26This week we're having a fight camp upstairs on our ministry center.
00:51:30for some students, um, from around Virginia Beach.
00:51:35Hands up.
00:51:35Good.
00:51:36Good kicks.
00:51:37We're teaching them how to defend themselves.
00:51:39We're giving them tools to stay safe.
00:51:41Our message to them is going to be, uh, how to be courageous throughout life.
00:51:47Perfect.
00:51:47Do you have fun practice tonight?
00:51:52It's your first practice.
00:51:53You did awesome.
00:51:54You little animal.
00:51:55Right?
00:51:56What grade are you in?
00:51:57Sixth.
00:51:57Sixth grade.
00:51:58That's cool.
00:51:59So your dad said you want to be a pastor?
00:52:01Yeah.
00:52:02And you want to be a fighter?
00:52:03Yeah.
00:52:04Hey, it's cool to be both.
00:52:05Like you, a pastor?
00:52:06Yes, sir.
00:52:07A pastor and a fighter.
00:52:09Don't mean too many of those, huh?
00:52:10No.
00:52:11I don't think you can tell a kid, don't bully in school, you know?
00:52:16Be civil to your classmates and then take them to a fight where you have, uh, two men
00:52:23or two women in a cage kneeing each other in the head or slamming their fist into someone
00:52:28lying on the ground.
00:52:30It's related to the bullying that we're trying to get out of schools.
00:52:34It's related to my mind to domestic violence.
00:52:37It befuddles me why somebody, especially a minister, would say, we have to take this
00:52:43to the next level of violence.
00:52:46It doesn't make sense.
00:52:48I'm here.
00:52:49I'm just turning.
00:52:51I was kind of thinking to myself, like, that's pretty cool.
00:52:55My, like, pastor does, like, cage fighting.
00:52:58And I wanted to get into that because, like, I was like, oh, sweet.
00:53:01Now I can go, like, beat everybody up.
00:53:04I like the takedowns.
00:53:06I thought those were really cool.
00:53:08And, um, I really liked the combos, the combo punches we were doing.
00:53:12I really liked those.
00:53:14Not to be, like, a punk, but I like fighting.
00:53:16Fighting's fun.
00:53:17Because I watch the UFC and everything.
00:53:20I don't know.
00:53:21I like hitting things.
00:53:25This, they do the fighting, but it's for God and Jesus.
00:53:29The past couple times, I learned to, like, love your neighbor, love each other.
00:53:34So, I don't know.
00:53:39This fight is coming up this weekend.
00:53:42He's been training for this, actually, for a couple of years.
00:53:45He had a fight and took a pretty good beating.
00:53:49And, um, it won't happen again.
00:53:52Mm-hmm.
00:53:52I'm going to go get the pants again.
00:53:54Work on his, work his neck.
00:53:56Please.
00:53:58Psh, psh, psh.
00:53:59I'm feeling good, confident.
00:54:02He's a year younger than me, and he weighs 90 pounds.
00:54:05When I'm going to weigh 110 in the fight, and I'm 12 years old,
00:54:08so I'm going to go in there and rip this kid's head off.
00:54:12Now, listen.
00:54:13God said, don't be afraid.
00:54:15Don't be discouraged.
00:54:16Because I'm your God, and I'll be with you wherever you go.
00:54:19Right?
00:54:20Come on, Lucas!
00:54:34Hands up, Lucas.
00:54:41Press in.
00:54:41Press in, Lucas.
00:54:43Lucas, get your hands up.
00:54:45Get your hips on his hips.
00:54:46Hip in them.
00:54:46Let's go.
00:54:48Lucas, hands up.
00:54:49Hands up.
00:54:49Come on, baby.
00:55:01Get your hands up, Lucas.
00:55:02Lucas, hands up, baby.
00:55:04Get your hands up, Lucas.
00:55:07Get your hands up, Lucas.
00:55:08Get your hands up, baby.
00:55:10Look, get your hands up, baby.
00:55:12Good job.
00:55:13Good job.
00:55:13You're going to finish this fight, and you're going to finish well.
00:55:17Okay?
00:55:17I can't take you hitting.
00:55:18Right?
00:55:19You're doing awesome.
00:55:19You are going to win this fight.
00:55:20I'm proud of you, buddy.
00:55:21You're doing good.
00:55:21I'm like, go straight down the side.
00:55:22Go.
00:55:22Go.
00:55:22Go.
00:55:23Go.
00:55:23Go.
00:55:24Go.
00:55:24Find your range.
00:55:25Find your range.
00:55:26Find your range.
00:55:27You want to find your range, Lucas?
00:55:29Go.
00:55:29Go.
00:55:30Go.
00:55:31Go.
00:55:32Go.
00:55:33Go.
00:55:34You've got to skip your ground.
00:55:36Get back.
00:55:36Lucas, get back.
00:55:37Come on.
00:55:38Now, Lucas.
00:55:39Lucas, now.
00:55:40Come on, Lucas.
00:55:40Stay at it.
00:55:41Lucas, hands up.
00:55:41Let's go.
00:55:41Hands up.
00:55:42Clinch.
00:55:43Clinch.
00:55:43Hey, clinch.
00:55:44Knees.
00:55:45Throw up some knees.
00:55:45Come on.
00:55:56Hands up, Lucas.
00:55:57Watch it.
00:55:58Get back.
00:56:00Good job.
00:56:01Good job.
00:56:04Good job.
00:56:04Good job.
00:56:05Good job.
00:56:05Good job.
00:56:05Hey, good job.
00:56:05That's great.
00:56:08Hey, hey, look at me.
00:56:10You're fine.
00:56:10You're fine.
00:56:11Don't cry.
00:56:12Don't you dare cry.
00:56:12Put it in here.

00:57:13Once again, it's about whatever God has given you, use it.
00:57:17Maybe it's medicine. Fine.
00:57:19Maybe it's gun range. Fine.
00:57:21Use your gun range to bring people into the kingdom.
00:57:28It's good to meet you guys.
00:57:31Hey, no problem. Hopefully we'll see you again next week.
00:57:33Oh, that's nice.
00:57:36Yeah.
00:57:36That's real nice.
00:57:37Yeah.
00:57:42I love that.
00:57:43Yeah.
00:57:44The reason why I got it was because he said that the way they made that one was so that you could start as a boy,
00:57:50and you could still use it as an adult.
00:57:52Yeah, absolutely.
00:57:52So, I like it.
00:57:54Yeah.
00:57:58So this is Crusader's Cross. It's a symbol of freedom.
00:58:01It's a symbol of liberating the oppressed, and somehow or another, the history has been skewed.
00:58:06And even though the Crusades have a huge, horrible reputation, it's not historically accurate.
00:58:12Ultimately, the Crusaders stand for liberating the oppressed, and that's what we're about.
00:58:16We have an obligation as Christians to defend. Sometimes that requires killing.
00:58:23The call of the gospel is turn the other cheek in light of religious persecution.
00:58:28I've had people bring up the turn the other cheek, and I've had people bring up the turn the other cheek in the context of watching somebody get raped.
00:58:35I'm like, that's crap.
00:58:37What if I'm not trying to rape your wife? What if I'm simply up in your face disrespecting you?
00:58:42It doesn't matter. You're going down.
00:58:43It doesn't say just sit there and take somebody's tongue lashing just because.
00:58:47It never says that in the entire Bible.
00:58:49It never says we should be everybody else's whipping post.
00:58:52If you come nose to nose with me, I'm going to put you in your place.
00:58:56Don't disrespect me.
00:59:13One of my competitors here in town got online and started talking crap about my wife, totally uncalled for.
00:59:30I said, hey, since you say you're a 4-0 amateur fighter, let's meet in a cage and settle this in a cage.
00:59:36And he publicly agreed, said he would fight me in November.
00:59:39I put together a routine to be pretty hard.
00:59:48I've been training like he's going to take the fight and trying to get myself back into actual competitive state.
00:59:53And I don't think he'll do it, but I'm really hoping he will.
00:59:59Why?
00:59:59Because he's a trash talker.
01:00:01Guys who really fight don't talk trash.
01:00:07I was wondering if.
01:00:19Well.
01:00:22Dude, it's really rough getting back in shape.
01:00:24Makes you wish you never got out.
01:00:25I'm working out harder than I have in years trying to get back in shape for this fight.
01:00:34And I'm almost 40 years old and it's taking its toll.
01:00:36It's pretty intense.
01:00:38Once you get out of shape, to get back in shape is really a big challenge.
01:00:42And I've not trained to fight in probably, I think, six years now.
01:00:47So I'm not going to get in the ring and be out of shape and fail because I wasn't prepared.
01:00:55This is what we've been preparing for for the last nine weeks.
01:01:14The training, my mental preparation, spiritual preparation.
01:01:19This is what I've been waiting for.
01:01:20All the way around.
01:01:21Get into it.
01:01:21Think about the fight.
01:01:22Don't worry about anything else that's going on.
01:01:23Four.
01:01:24Come on, come on, come on, come on.
01:01:25Come on.
01:01:25You'll be all right.
01:01:28Two.
01:01:29Come on, come on, come on.
01:01:29I will admit that I'm outside of my comfort zone.
01:01:32I haven't seen snow in years.
01:01:34One.
01:01:35Come on.
01:01:36The longer you're out here, the longer we're going to be out here.
01:01:37So let's go.
01:01:38One.
01:01:40Two.
01:01:40There's so many variables that can go wrong, but I'm here to win.
01:01:45I did not come from Jacksonville, Florida to go through the motions.
01:01:54I'm very confident that I can win this fight.
01:01:58Good.
01:01:59I think I'm more than ready to go to battle with Nishan.
01:02:03You know, as an all-around fighter, I feel like I'm a better fighter.
01:02:08I feel like I have more tools than he has.
01:02:11You know, I guarantee that he's going to have to fight on my level.
01:02:14So we're going to go in.
01:02:16I'm going to push the pace and see if he can keep up.
01:02:18And if he can't, he's going to get caught.
01:02:20Experience, it plays a huge role.
01:02:28His experience may give him hope because people can look at me and say, well, this guy's never
01:02:34been pushed or tested.
01:02:36But my objective in fighting Preston is to win this fight by any means necessary.
01:02:42And if it takes for me to hurt him to win this fight, then that's what I'm going to do.
01:02:46Is everybody ready for Superbitch Martial Arts?
01:03:07Ladies and gentlemen, this is Spartica!
01:03:16And now, this is the co-made event of the evening!
01:03:24Ladies and gentlemen, this is Pastor vs. Pastor!
01:03:29Introducing Pastor!
01:03:32This man is a wrestler and a man of the clock!
01:03:36He stands by the nation!
01:03:38When that door is shut in that cage, you know that there's a fight about to take place.
01:03:54And at any given moment, this fight can be over.
01:03:59Lord, give me strength.
01:04:01Stay strong!
01:04:28Hey, brother.
01:04:28Hey, brother.
01:08:59I got a call. Some folks here in Rochester are going to be running a fight and they asked me if I'd consider jumping on the card.
01:09:04I am very excited to be getting back in the cage, especially with the hometown crowd. This is the first big event here in Rochester, New York. So the big reason I'm taking the fight is it's a chance to make a big deal out of Jesus. Just build awareness and let people see that there's this cool ministry going on down there.
01:09:19So jump in line there.
01:09:49And the fight is tomorrow night at the main street. So regardless of what happens in the fight, I'll be preaching on Sunday morning.
01:09:55That's so cool. You're going to fight and then preach the very next day. Yes. But just in case I have a concussion or something, I do have my executive pastor on deck with my notes and stuff ready to preach just in case.
01:10:05So I'm just concerned that, you know, he's going to not be able to preach on Sunday. And I would not like to see him get knocked out because I don't like to see people's eyes roll in the back of their head.
01:10:17Will I always be in martial arts? Absolutely. I'm a martial artist at heart. However, my dominant interest nowadays is the academic side of things. Currently, I'm pursuing a PhD in philosophy, the philosophy of religion.
01:10:45And that's what I want to devote my whole life to.
01:10:51I have a little bit of experience, obviously, in video production. So nowadays, I spend the majority of my time producing educational videos in the area of philosophy, logic and Christian apologetics, things of that nature.
01:11:05The proposition that one intends to prove here is that God exists.
01:11:09Do I miss being in the MMA world? Yeah, I miss the friends and some of the excitement, for sure.
01:11:16I still like all that stuff.
01:11:18It's just the fact that I have come to the realization that I cannot both be a Christian and train people to fight in mixed martial arts competition.
01:11:28I think mixed martial arts and Christian doctrine are incompatible.
01:11:33I think mixed martial arts and Christian doctrine are incompatible.
01:12:04My name is Fr. John DeFell, and this particular piece of legislation, if passed, will not in any way help us walk the earth as brothers and sisters, because it's all about violence. It's all about hatred. Its purpose is to hurt. The tradition of which I'm a part is that we love one another. That's what we're supposed to do. And this ain't love. It is wrong, it's immoral, and it should not be done. Thank you.
01:12:34Every New Yorker can do anything in MMA right now except attend a professional. They can attend amateur events all they want. They can do everything except attend professional MMA events in New York. So tell me how that makes sense.
01:12:50I understand that there are some amateur cage fights here and even in New York. I would hope that members of the legislature would introduce a bill that would make those illegal.
01:13:03Put in a rule to ban it, even on an amateur basis.
01:13:08That's a whole separate issue.
01:13:09Well, that's... I mean, whether it's amateur or pro, it's wrong.
01:13:12Next bout at 145 pounds. From Trinity Training, Paul Burst.
01:13:17I kind of thought this might be coming anyway, where he might want to go out there and do it, like, one more time.
01:13:27Next bout at 145 pounds. From Trinity Training, Paul Burst.
01:13:31I kind of thought this might be coming anyway, where he might want to go out there and do it, like, one more time.
01:13:39I just remember Paul saying, I have this opportunity to take this fight, and it's going to be in Rochester.
01:13:45And I was like, do you realize that you just took this fight on the night before Easter?
01:13:50So, here we go.
01:14:01Dear Jesus, we love you so much. Lord Jesus, we pray that you get the glory tonight.
01:14:05Lord, that no matter what happens, that we walk out pointing people to you.
01:14:10And Lord, protect us. Lord, let there be no injuries.
01:14:13And we just thank you already for the good night you're going to give us, in Jesus' name. Amen.
01:14:18Amen.
01:14:20We fought your heart out.
01:15:32Honestement...
01:15:34Tu as-tu as-tu as-tu as-tu as-tu as-tu as-tu ?

01:16:46Sous-titrage MFP.
01:17:16Sous-titrage MFP.
01:17:46All of these wins, all of these losses are temporary.
01:17:50The real win, the real victory, has already been won 2,000 years ago.
01:17:55Jesus never tapped.
01:17:58And if you surrender to him, you can have real power and real strength.
01:18:04So, uh, it's a good day.
01:18:17It's Easter.
01:18:18It's the day we celebrate the resurrection of Christ.
01:18:20It's the day we celebrate the fact that Jesus finished well.
01:18:23Listen, finishing strong doesn't mean we win every battle.
01:18:27Linda's fight last night was tough.
01:18:29She fought a really tough fighter, right?
01:18:30Never gave up.
01:18:31It was awesome.
01:18:32I'm so stinking proud of you.
01:18:34When Jesus was being tortured and beaten, and he falls down to his knees,
01:18:40he powered back up, and he took it.
01:18:43And the soldiers beat him senseless, and the blood streamed across his face, and he was bruised,
01:18:50and he was probably barely recognizable.
01:18:53But he stayed there.
01:18:54He took it.
01:18:56And as he hung on that cross, his last words were telling,
01:19:01forgive them, because they don't know what they're doing.
01:19:03To have a couple of pastors go to the cage and battle it out kind of proves that, you know,
01:19:28church isn't just for women and kids.
01:19:32It's for tough guys, too.
01:19:42To me, it's about the gospel, and every chance I get to open my mouth and speak about the power of the gospel,
01:19:47I'm going to take it.
01:19:48It don't matter where it's at.
01:19:49I mean, I've had guys punch me in the face.
01:19:51What are you going to say that's going to hurt my feelings?
01:19:53I double-dot dare every Christian just to do what it takes to step in the cage.
01:20:07Don't step in it.
01:20:08I'm saying just go through the preparation that it takes,
01:20:12and I guarantee they will change their mindset.
01:20:14Oh, hi.
01:20:24How are you?
01:20:24How are you doing?
01:20:25Good to see you.
01:20:25You know, you're the first really badass preacher I've met.
01:20:28Really?
01:20:28Happy Easter.
01:20:41I love you, guys.
01:20:41I love you.
01:20:42I love you.
01:20:42I love you.
01:20:43I love you.
01:20:47I don't doubt what we do.
01:20:49Love you guys.
01:20:50Peace out.
01:20:50Have an awesome Easter.
01:20:51Because I know this is the gifts and the skills God has given me.
01:20:56There's actually a cool verse in the Bible that says,
01:20:58Be wary when all men speak well of you.
01:21:01If everybody loves you, you're doing something wrong.
01:21:05I don't answer to people.
01:21:06I answer to God.
01:21:07Someday I'm going to stand before him, and like Paul in the Bible,
01:21:10I want to hear, well done, good and faithful servant.
01:21:13My prayer is as I walk close to Jesus and just do the right thing
01:21:17and let him take care of the rest.
01:21:21I want to hear, well done, good and faithful servant.
01:21:51I want to hear, well done, good and faithful servant.
01:22:21I want to hear, well done, good and faithful servant.
01:22:23I want to hear, well done, good and faithful servant.
01:22:24I want to hear, well done, good and faithful servant.
01:22:25I want to hear, well done, good and faithful servant.
01:22:26I want to hear, well done, good and faithful servant.
01:22:27I want to hear, well done, good and faithful servant.
01:22:28I want to hear, well done, good and faithful servant.
01:22:29I want to hear, well done, good and faithful servant.
01:22:30I want to hear, well done, good and faithful servant.
01:22:31I want to hear, well done, good and faithful servant.
01:22:32I want to hear, well done, good and faithful servant.
01:22:33I want to hear, well done, good and faithful servant.
01:22:34I want to hear, well done, good and faithful servant.
01:22:35I want to hear, well done, good and faithful servant.
