00:00You almost look like Deb, you don't want to even look at the doll.
00:02No, I don't.
00:02Are you a bit scared?
00:03I don't even want to touch it.
00:04Welcome to WatchMojo.
00:06Today we're counting down our picks for the most accidentally unsettling clips from real
00:10news reports, including sports games and interviews that take focus away from the main event.
00:19What is that?
00:21Number 10.
00:22The Teleporting Child
00:23To anyone worried that we may be living in the Matrix, this certainly won't help.
00:27Welcome to the real world.
00:31In this 2018 BBC clip, a woman discussing then-British Prime Minister Theresa May is briefly upstaged
00:37by an alarming anomaly.
00:39As she speaks, a kid appears to warp into view behind her, and then continues to walk down
00:43the street as normal.
00:45Viewers were understandably alarmed.
00:48Oh, deja vu.
00:53What did you just say?
00:54Twitter reactions were split between those who took the segment as proof of a glitch in
00:58the Matrix, and those who compared it to something that would happen in Harry Potter or Doctor
01:02Who.
01:03In truth, it's more likely that this glitch is only due to the BBC editing their interviews,
01:07but it's fun to speculate.
01:09Here we are then.
01:11Number 9.
01:11Strange Skylights
01:12It's not uncommon for local news stations to cut to an exterior camera before a commercial,
01:17but in 2018 this Milwaukee station found that doing so put a strange sight on viewer's
01:22screens, white lights seemed to fly erratically across a dark sky, prompting one newscaster
01:27to ask, are those fireworks?
01:28Are those fireworks?
01:31This theory was almost immediately debunked by their continued movement, causing the same
01:35newscaster to guess the lights may be extraterrestrial.
01:38Aliens?
01:39I don't know.
01:40What the heck is that?
01:42After some research, the station eventually came to the conclusion that the objects were
01:46actually seagulls, and the light tails following them could be explained by a lag in the camera's
01:50output.
01:52While this seems logical, it's hard to believe that the captured image could really just
01:54be birds in flight.
01:56It's getting weirder by the second.
01:57I know.
01:58It's like they're sticking around.
01:59We're gonna do some digging and figure out what that is.
02:03Number 8.
02:04UFO Football Fan
02:05London is integral to the history of association football, as the modern iteration of the game
02:11was initially codified there.
02:12So naturally, when a UFO decided to check out a match, England's capital city was its destination
02:17of choice.
02:18At the Women's League Cup in 2019, viewers spotted a light that appeared to rapidly descend
02:23on the field before pausing to hover over the game.
02:25It then disappeared as quickly as it arrived.
02:29So much for the little trading cruise.
02:3165 years earlier, Italy had its own close encounter with the unexplained when several UFOs described
02:37to look like Cuban cigars were seen above a Florence football stadium.
02:41In that instance, the sight was so distracting to fans that it brought the ongoing game to
02:45a halt.
02:46Oh my god.
02:52I promise, that's not what I wished for.
02:54Number 7.
02:55Paranormal Newspapers
02:56Though ghosts are typically associated with the night, some are early risers, like this
03:00apparent phantom on Albania's Morning Club show.
03:03In the clip, host Blendy Silage interviews a guest as normal before being startled by the
03:08sudden movement of a newspaper.
03:09We asked that.
03:11Wow.
03:11While it may initially appear that the paper was hit by a gust of wind, closer inspection
03:16reveals that only one of three papers on Silage's desk moved, and it was the one on the bottom
03:20of the stack.
03:21It's almost as if someone, or some thing, snatched it off the table.
03:25Wow.
03:29Following the anomaly, Silage is understandably shaken.
03:32It's clear he's asking the same question as everyone at home.
03:35What just happened?
03:36Number 6.
03:37The Cemetery Ghost
03:38I'm really going to have to get to know you guys.
03:40You know, we've got to get closer.
03:41Move in with you for a while.
03:42Get to be real pals.
03:44You know what I'm saying?
03:45Logically, if ghosts were wandering the earth, a cemetery would be the most natural place
03:49to find them.
03:49And yet, that doesn't make this clip from the Green Ridge Cemetery in New York any less
03:53surprising.
03:54While reporting on a cemetery tour, newscaster Sam Hessler was seemingly visited by one of
03:59its residents.
03:59As you can see behind me here, we have a few gravestones, but what you can't see because
04:04it's dark out.
04:04As she gestured to her left, a smoky figure passed behind a gravestone on the opposite side
04:09of the screen.
04:09If one assumes the ghost is from Green Ridge, Saratoga County residents may have even been
04:15unknowingly treated to a modern glimpse of a historical figure from years past.
04:19The famed cemetery is known for being the final resting place of a number of authors,
04:23actors, and athletes of the 1800s and early 1900s.
04:26New Yorkers lousy with ghosts.
04:28I mean, they're everywhere.
04:30And they're a noisy, pushy, demanding bunch, same as when they were alive.
04:34Number 5.
04:35Disappearing Before Departure
04:36I knew the risk when I took this job, Lieutenant.
04:39How will you get him back, Amy?
04:42He does that.
04:43Many probably wish they could pull off a vanishing act in the hectic whirlwind of an airport,
04:48but this woman actually succeeded.
04:50Or so it appears.
04:51In an airport-set news broadcast, a man is being interviewed when two women pass behind
04:55him.
04:56The two, a blonde and brunette, appear to exchange words before the blonde disappears without
05:00a trace.
05:01As the walking woman moved ahead of the standing one, the latter appears to disappear without
05:05a trace.
05:06The easiest explanation here is that she moved to walk beside the brunette woman she was talking
05:10to.
05:11But that doesn't account for the unbelievable amount of precision it would have taken to
05:14not be seen at all.
05:15Even when slowing the clip considerably, there isn't a single strand of hair that peeks
05:20from behind the other woman.
05:21Number 4.
05:22Tsunami UFO
05:23In 2011, an earthquake rocked Japan, resulting in a devastating tsunami that led to thousands
05:29of deaths and injuries.
05:30The natural disaster was covered by outlets across the nation, including NHK World Japan.
05:35For those of you that have just tuned in to NHK World, you're seeing live coverage from
05:43our helicopters of a tsunami engulfing.
05:47It was in footage broadcast by this station that YouTuber Etcetera Etcetera discovered a
05:53chilling anomaly.
05:54Above the wreckage, a thin line of white smoke appeared to fly in a straight line.
05:58Well, we call it smoke, but it doesn't seem to move like any smoke we've ever seen.
06:01The mist-like UFO is far from the first unidentified object seen flying above the island country.
06:07Following the nuclear attacks carried out on Japan, residents have noted an uptick in
06:11sightings of aircraft that could be from beyond the stars.
06:14Kimushita-san, when did you shoot a UFO?
06:16Kimushita-san, when did you shoot a UFO?
06:23Number 3.
06:24Rocking Doll
06:25Do you seriously think this doll is possessed, do you?
06:28Kimushita-san, I wouldn't necessarily say possessed.
06:31In an episode of This Morning from 2017, the hosts seem skeptical about their guests'
06:36claim that they owned a haunted doll, at least at first.
06:39The ghostly guest took on the appearance of a vintage doll,
06:42which its owner claimed attacked her husband.
06:44The day before our friends came is the day he woke up with scratches on him.
06:48Right, so tell I'm intrigued by these scratches.
06:50As the woman speaks about the occurrence,
06:52she seems too nervous to look the doll in the eye
06:54and says she doesn't even want to touch it.
06:56The show treats the story as a light-hearted human interest,
06:58but its hosts are briefly spooked as the doll's chair begins to rock on its own.
07:02Look at that chair, it's beginning to rock.
07:04Look at that.
07:05Who's doing that? Stop it. Who's doing that?
07:07Although both claim not to believe in the haunting after the interview ends,
07:11Eamon does pull back his co-host Ruth when she reaches to touch the doll.
07:15Well, I don't believe in things being haunted like that.
07:17Okay, well, will you then lift up the doll and nurse it on your knee?
07:20Don't do it, I'm telling you to.
07:21Number 2. A Ghostly Fan
07:23Where do you normally play?
07:25In the park.
07:28I mean, what position?
07:29When attending a live sporting event, no one wants to miss the action.
07:32But sometimes, you have to step away.
07:34Whether nature's calling, or you're just in the mood for a snack,
07:37every minute spent away is a minute spent praying that nothing significant happens in the game.
07:42According to this footage of a Bolivian football match,
07:44it appears ghosts share the same sentiment.
07:47During a wide shot of the stadium,
07:48a shadowy figure could be seen running at an alarming pace across the stadium seats.
07:53Now, we admit that this footage isn't exactly HD,
07:59but it should still be clear that this figure's movement defies logic.
08:03It passes through people and dividers with ease before disappearing again into the crowd.
08:07This was never about her, this is about you.
08:11You have to stop living in the past.
08:14Now, is that fast enough for you?

08:33Number 1. A Parched Poltergeist
08:37The duality of man is on full display in this spooky segment from Honduras' morning show,
08:47Primera Edición, also known as First Edition.
08:50In a December episode, hosts Pablo Zapata and Carlos Molina
08:54were answering viewer questions when Carlos' glass slid across the table.
08:58Carlos himself is visibly shaken,
09:00questioning how such a thing could happen on a flat surface.
09:03While his co-host, Pablo, appears amused by the inexplicable event.
09:07While it's possible the glass's movement could be explained by condensation,
09:10Carlos later revealed that he felt a chill as it happened
09:13and felt traumatized by the whole event.
09:16I don't remember seeing any legs,
09:18but it definitely had arms because it reached out for me.
09:21Arms? I can't wait to get a look at this thing.
09:23Have you ever seen something you didn't expect to happen
09:25in the background of a news broadcast?
09:27Let us know in the comments.
09:28He's the Las Vegas man who claims he can summon UFOs on command.
09:33Pretty wild.
