The Beatles hvide dobbeltalbum fylder 40 i dag.

00:00:00And it's helped along at the time in the writing by his new love, Yoko Ono.
00:00:06John was the only one to love Yoko, all the rest of the band.
00:00:10Couldn't quite see what she was about.
00:00:13And let's be honest, most of us can't either.
00:00:18Yoko, if you're watching...
00:00:23Anyway, it was written by John and Yoko,
00:00:27and it was written to his mother.
00:00:30Who, of course, as you probably know, died when John was just 17
00:00:33and left him feeling lost, alone, and very scared.
00:00:37This is a beautiful song called Julia,
00:00:40sung this evening by Michael Falk.
00:00:43Half of what I say is meaningless,
00:01:06But I say it just to reach you, Julia
00:01:16Julia, julia, julia, ocean child calls me, so I sing a song of love.
00:01:34Julia, julia, julia, julia, seashell eyes,
00:01:44when they smile calls me, so I sing a song of love.
00:01:56Julia

00:04:05Vi skal til The White Albums Plade 2
00:04:07Hidt og simpelt
00:04:09Et dobbeladedbum med tredje ved sange
00:04:11Indspillet over fem måneder i Abbey Road
00:04:14Hvis alle dine plader blev stjålet
00:04:15På nær denne, er det ikke helt galt
00:04:17You have music for every taste.
00:04:20It's a very far-like album.
00:04:24It's a very impressive album with many numbers.
00:04:27Some of them are short.
00:04:29And so you can take it on a feel.
00:04:32And that's what I think is very interesting.
00:04:34The Hive album is the name of the Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.
00:04:39Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.
00:04:43Sgt. Pepper's Stringent og Målbevidst. Ingen slinger i valsen.
00:05:22Hvide Album.
00:05:25Hvide Album.
00:05:27Hvide Album.
00:05:28Did somebody important just come in or something?
00:05:43Hello, at home.
00:05:45These lovely people are here in Horsens for the White concert.
00:05:49Hello, lovely people.
00:05:55Lovely.
00:05:58We are having a great time here.
00:05:59We are celebrating the White Album.
00:06:01We are having a great time, aren't we?
00:06:05Okay.
00:06:06And there's no one telling you to say that, is there?
00:06:11It's natural, organic.
00:06:13And this is the White Album concert, as we know,
00:06:17coming from Horsens, the best rock and roll town in Denmark.
00:06:20Ladies and gentlemen.
00:06:21Of course, I said that last night when I was in Copenhagen celebrating ABBA.
00:06:38Anyway, as we know, during the making of this amazing album,
00:06:43the Beatles were in disarray.
00:06:44The differences were beginning to show.
00:06:47Lennon and McCartney were not writing together.
00:06:50The band were recording each of their individual parts separately.
00:06:55And even their legendary producer, the lovely George Martin,
00:06:58had had enough and took a holiday halfway through the recordings.
00:07:02This doesn't mean to say, though, that no fun was had back in Abbey Road.
00:07:07There is one song in the whole collection,
00:07:10which was, I'm told, a happy collaborative effort.
00:07:13A good time was had by all in the studio.
00:07:16The song was written entirely in the studio,
00:07:19the music and the lyrics.
00:07:21And it was recorded in one long session.
00:07:23And it also featured backing vocals from the girlfriends,
00:07:27Patty Harrison and Yoko Ono.
00:07:30Now, Patty and Yoko couldn't be here tonight.
00:07:35We don't care about that, do we?
00:07:38Because instead, it's with great pleasure
00:07:40that I give you the song Birthday with Camille Jones
00:07:44and Karen Muguba.
00:07:46APPLAUSE
00:07:47Here we go, come on.

00:11:47My mother was of the sky
00:11:52My father was of the earth
00:11:55And I am of the universe
00:11:58And to know what it's where
00:12:00I love me

00:14:23Wanna die
00:14:36You know the reason why

00:23:25So, let's go.
00:23:55Sorry, I was in the toilet.
00:24:21And luckily the microphone was turned off, so that was Kira Sko, everybody enjoy that?
00:24:36Everybody's got something to hide except me and my monkey and that man down there.
00:24:42I know your secret.
00:24:44Anyway, will you please be quiet back in the cheap seats?
00:24:49It's terrible, you see, the people in the cheap seats, they always make the most trouble.
00:24:55Not the people at the back, you're fantastic.
00:25:02All of us are equal, just some of us are more equal than others.
00:25:09Back in the story of the Beatles, which is why we're here this evening, back in 1968, the Fab Four were looking for answers.
00:25:17Beatlemania, of course, they were the biggest band in the world, but they weren't happy.
00:25:21They decided to accept an invitation to meditate with a Maharishi Mahesh Yogi at his ashram in India.
00:25:29But they eventually left the sanctuary of the ashram way before their time was up.
00:25:35They were disappointed with the place in general, and John Lennon in particular, completely disillusioned with the yogi, who it seems may not have been all he was made out to be.
00:25:49Perhaps he may have made a pass at one of the ladies, allegedly.
00:25:56Anyway, John Lennon hated him, flew back to London, and wrote this next song with the yogi in mind.
00:26:04It was originally called Maharishi.
00:26:07Well, probably, you know, Maharishi, you perving bastard, or something.
00:26:12But luckily, George Harrison was there to calm things down and said,
00:26:16John, why don't we call it Sexy Sadie?
00:26:20Okay then, said John, so please give it up for a magnificent Swedish star, the one, the only, Eric Gad!
00:26:27Sexy Sadie, what have you done?
00:26:45Sexy Sadie, she broke the rules, she laid it down on the sea.
00:27:13Sexy Sadie, she let it down for all the sea.
00:27:21Sexy Sadie, oh, you broke the rules, my son, baby, the one who's looking for a lover.
00:27:31She came along to turn on everyone.
00:27:36Sexy Sadie, the greatest of them all.
00:27:41Sexy Sadie, how could you know?
00:27:45Sexy Sadie, how could you know?
00:27:49Sexy Sadie, how could you know?

00:32:58Hi, so it's my tour to Hvide Concert.
00:33:12Hello.
00:33:15Good to see you.
00:33:18Today we have a solist day.
00:33:21It means that there will be some solists who will be with the White Concert.
00:33:27Sing Obla Di Obla Da.
00:33:29Sing Obla Di Obla Da.
00:34:13Okay, okay.
00:35:17This is outlandish.
00:35:21We are not the Beatles.
00:35:23We are trying to beat up the Beatles.
00:35:27We love the Beatles!
00:35:37So!
00:35:43Now you know just how much blood, sweat and tears
00:35:45went into the making of this very special evening for you very special people.
00:35:49We didn't just make it up as we went along.
00:35:51There's been rehearsals.
00:35:53Apart from my bit, of course, yes.
00:35:55No rehearsals at all.
00:35:57Now, just a couple of technical things,
00:35:59because this is a television show.
00:36:01Hello to you at home.
00:36:02Thank you for joining us.
00:36:03We've got a couple of minutes now,
00:36:05while the technicians do the amazing thing that technicians do,
00:36:08and get the next band ready.
00:36:09So I thought we ought to spend a couple of minutes relaxing.
00:36:13There's a couple of things I want to do,
00:36:15you know, just to relax and be like,
00:36:17for example, I'd really like to do this.
00:36:19I haven't done this yet.
00:36:26I'd love to do that.
00:36:29And also,
00:36:32there's something that's been...
00:36:35There's something...
00:36:36Hello.
00:36:37There's something that's been really, really annoying me.
00:36:40You know?
00:36:41We've gone to a lot of effort.
00:36:42Look at you people.
00:36:43You've made a huge amount of effort to be here,
00:36:46to enjoy the concert, to sing along.
00:36:48And there's two gentlemen here
00:36:50who haven't even bothered to dress in white.
00:36:54So this, gentlemen, is for you.
00:36:57Okay?
00:36:58All right.
00:36:59All right.
00:37:02Ah, yes.
00:37:04What's your name?
00:37:06What's your name?
00:37:07My name is Michael.
00:37:08Okay.
00:37:09And yours, sir?
00:37:10My name is Anders.
00:37:11I know you are ashamed to the whole of Denmark.
00:37:15Okay?
00:37:16You go,
00:37:17look at these beautiful women in Denmark you have.
00:37:20And there's something else I'd like to do,
00:37:21because we are in a church of the Beatles here,
00:37:24and this is called
00:37:25Filling Up Time With A Load Of Rubbish.
00:37:28That's what it's called in technical terms.
00:37:31There's something I'd love to do very quickly.
00:37:33We are in the church of the Beatles.
00:37:35There's one thing we haven't done yet,
00:37:37is all sing together.
00:37:38You know?
00:37:40And I've come up with a way
00:37:42to make the people at the back
00:37:44feel really, really special.
00:37:46Okay?
00:37:47If all of us guys and girls down here sing
00:37:50We all live in a yellow submarine,
00:37:53then the people at the back can go
00:37:55Yellow submarine!
00:37:56Yellow submarine!
00:37:58We...
00:37:59You got it?
00:38:00Should we do that quickly?
00:38:01Okay.
00:38:02You lovely people.
00:38:03Alright then.
00:38:04A one.
00:38:05Remember.
00:38:06We down here do the bit
00:38:07and then the people at the back
00:38:08let them have their moment.
00:38:10So.
00:38:11A one.
00:38:12A two.
00:38:13A one.
00:38:14Two.
00:38:15Three.
00:38:16Four.
00:38:17We all live in a yellow submarine!
00:38:19Yellow submarine!
00:38:20Yellow submarine!
00:38:21Yellow submarine!
00:38:22No!
00:38:23Let the people at the back
00:38:24do the yellow submarine bits!
00:38:26Right.
00:38:27Just do the
00:38:28We all live in a yellow submarine
00:38:29and let the poor people at the back sing!
00:38:31They're not even on TV!
00:38:34Okay.
00:38:35One more time.
00:38:36We all live in a yellow submarine!
00:38:40People at the back!
00:38:41Yellow submarine!
00:38:42Yeah!
00:38:43Yellow submarine!
00:38:44People down here!
00:38:45We all live in a yellow submarine!
00:38:48People at the back!
00:38:50Yellow submarine!
00:38:51Yellow submarine!
00:38:52Peace and love!
00:38:53Fantastic!
00:38:54Thank you very much!
00:38:55Meanwhile, back to the professionals!
00:39:05Here's a song written about God!
00:39:08Whoever he or she may be!
00:39:09Wherever he or she may be!
00:39:11It's a beautiful song by George Harrison!
00:39:13Tonight, it's sung by Peter Sommer!
00:39:15Long!
00:39:16Long!
00:39:17Long!
00:39:18Long!

00:45:41Chairman Mao
00:45:43Now, you ain't gonna make it with anyone
00:45:45And me
00:45:46How?

00:46:14Like we came down from another planet
00:46:16Goddammit, these boys are standing
00:46:18Like you're making for death
00:46:19Long overdue, a time to shine will come
00:46:21Let we shine for real
00:46:22Still we rock all day
00:46:23Cause it makes us feel good
00:46:25Like so full, we so hood
00:46:27Join us if you could
00:46:28What could you lose to the beat?
00:46:30So, Sydney, can't wait out about this
00:46:31Let it be clear
00:46:35Yeah, that's the Beatles
00:46:38We all vanish
00:46:40Not trying to be bigger or better
00:46:44But if the Beatles are French toast
00:46:47Then our vanish is the bar
00:46:50And anybody's in white
00:46:53We love the Beatles
00:46:54Oh, beautiful
00:46:55Oh yes
00:47:20Outlandish
00:47:21With Revolution 1
00:47:24I'd like to see that released as a single
00:47:26Myself
00:47:27I don't know what you think
00:47:27Very catchy
00:47:28Very catchy
00:47:29And
00:47:34Fantastic orchestra we have in tonight
00:47:36Ladies and gentlemen
00:47:37Fantastic
00:47:46You can't see them
00:47:47Because somewhere there's a technician asleep
00:47:50Who forgot to turn the lights on
00:47:51But they are there
00:47:53In the back
00:47:54All right
00:47:55Pia
00:47:55You're doing a magnificent job
00:47:57Pia ladies and gentlemen
00:47:59Thank you
00:48:01Ah, there they are
00:48:03Boom
00:48:08That was Revolution 1 of course
00:48:10And in some versions of that song
00:48:12John Lennon counts himself in
00:48:14And in other versions
00:48:15Out
00:48:16And of course on the final white album version
00:48:19He counts himself in
00:48:20And out
00:48:21Sitting on the fence
00:48:22Not letting us know
00:48:24Where he really stood
00:48:26A wise choice perhaps
00:48:27Seeing that the CIA
00:48:29Were now taking more than a passing interest
00:48:32In the troublesome Englishman
00:48:35I'm sure I'm on their files too
00:48:38Must be more careful what I get up to in the hotel
00:48:41Never mind
00:48:42Now whilst John was pondering the ways of the world man
00:48:47Paul meanwhile was having much more fun
00:48:49With a song inspired by his father Jim
00:48:52Who always played the young Paul McCartney
00:48:55Fruity old songs from the rip-roaring 1920s
00:48:59You're going to enjoy this one
00:49:00Have a piece of Honey Pie
00:49:02Tonight performed by Cecilie Nobu
00:49:06She was a working girl
00:49:26North of England
00:49:33Now she's at the big time
00:49:36In the USA
00:49:45And if she could only hear me
00:49:50This is what I'd say
00:50:00Heart pack
00:50:02You've been making me crazy
00:50:04I'm in love but I'm lazy
00:50:07I'm in love but I'm lazy
00:50:07So won't you please come home
00:50:11Honey pie
00:50:15My possession is tragic
00:50:18Come and show me your magic
00:50:21Of your Hollywood song
00:50:25You became a legend
00:50:30On the silver screen
00:50:33And now the thought of me
00:50:35To you makes me weak in my knees
00:50:39About as a movement of the sun
00:50:41You were driving me crazy
00:50:41On my way
00:50:42Asst
00:50:43You were driving me frantic
00:50:46Sail across the Atlantic
00:50:49To Where you belong
00:50:51My潮 , the sea
00:50:53Oh, my honey pie
00:50:57Come play with this game
00:51:17Honey pie, come home to me
00:51:20Will the wind blow on the boat back to me
00:51:28Kindly send her sailing back to me
00:51:34I found you now
00:51:37Honey pie, you're making me crazy
00:51:42I'm in love but I'm lazy
00:51:45So don't you come on home
00:51:48Honey pie, I just miss you so
00:51:51I can't live without you
00:51:55Honey pie, I want you please come home to me
00:52:09I like this kind of music
00:52:12And Beatles did it too
00:52:15Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
00:52:18Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
00:52:20Cream, tangerine, montellino
00:52:23Creme, tangerine, more and tell it more
00:52:53A ginger sweet with a pineapple heart
00:53:01Coffee resurgers, you know it's good news
00:53:07But you'll have to have them all pull out
00:53:10After the Savoy struck fun
00:53:19Cool cherry cream, nice apple tart
00:53:28I feel the taste all the time will part
00:53:36Coconut virtually blows down those blues
00:53:42But you'll have to have them all pull out
00:53:45After the Savoy struck fun
00:53:51You might not feel it now
00:53:54But when they think that you're gonna blow on high
00:53:58The surge is gonna fill your head
00:54:01When it becomes too much
00:54:03We'll shine around
00:54:06But you'll have to have them all pull out
00:54:18After the Savoy struck fun
00:54:21But you'll have to have them all pull out
00:54:31After the Savoy struck fun
00:54:33And all know what you eat you are
00:54:40But what sweet love turns so sour
00:54:45We all know if we're deep like dark
00:54:48But can you show me where you are?
00:54:52Cream, tangerine, more and tell it more
00:54:57A ginger sweet with a pineapple heart
00:55:01A ginger sweet with a pineapple heart
00:55:05A coffee dessert just you know it's good news
00:55:12Oh, but you'll have to have them all pull out
00:55:17After the Savoy struck fun
00:55:19The Savoy struck fun
00:55:23Guess you have to have them all pull out
00:55:25After the Savoy struck fun
00:55:45Beatles are the world's biggest bass
00:55:47And the F.A.M. four are four stærke, sjove personajæver
00:55:50Ha, ha, ha, ha
00:55:51It means Beatles, doesn't it?
00:55:53You know, that's just a name
00:55:55And I like shoe
00:55:56And I like shoe
00:55:57And shoe
00:55:58The shoes
00:55:59You see, we could have been called the shoes
00:56:01For all you know
00:56:03Men da de indspiller The White Album
00:56:11And forandringen skaber uro
00:56:13Og spændt atmosfære i stugtet
00:56:15Især mellem Paul og John
00:56:17For John har fundet sin nye partner
00:56:23Også Ringo føler sig udenfor
00:56:25Han får nok
00:56:26Opsøger John og siger
00:56:27Jeg forlader gruppen
00:56:39Det samme siger Paul
00:56:41Alle føler sig udenfor
00:56:43Først da Ringo efter to uger vender tilbage
00:56:47Bliver stemningen nogenlunde god
00:56:49Da The White Album udkommer 22. november 1968
00:56:55Er der stadig to Beatles album
00:56:57Og halvandet år til
00:56:59At The Beatles går i opløsning
00:57:01De er blevet voksne
00:57:03Og står på egne ben
00:57:04Ud mod soloplader
00:57:05Og nye udfordringer
00:57:07And the rest, as they say
00:57:17Is history
00:57:19Well, ladies and gentlemen
00:57:20I'm afraid we only have three more songs left
00:57:26Terrible, I know
00:57:27But all good things must come to an end
00:57:30So, we're not there yet though
00:57:32We've still got some place to go
00:57:34The Beatles, as we now know
00:57:36Took their inspiration
00:57:37Not only from mind altering drugs
00:57:40But also from everyday life
00:57:42For example, whilst watching television one day
00:57:44John Lennon came across a commercial
00:57:47Whose tagline was
00:57:48Cry baby cry
00:57:50Make your mother buy
00:57:52Which eventually of course
00:57:53Became the song we all know and love
00:57:55Cry baby cry
00:57:57And here it is
00:57:58As you've never heard it before
00:58:00Reimagined for 2008
00:58:02By the Swedish duo
00:58:04Wild birds and peace drums
00:58:06And here it is
00:58:08Peace drums
00:58:09Applause
00:58:10Cry baby cry
00:58:11Cry baby cry
00:58:12Make your mother sigh
00:58:13She's old enough to know better
00:58:14Cry baby cry
00:58:16Cry baby cry
00:58:18Cry baby cry
00:58:20Cry
00:58:22I'll make your mother sigh
00:58:26Cause she's old enough to know better
00:58:28Cry baby cry

00:58:45Cry cry cry cry cry

00:58:58Playing piano for the children of the king
00:59:02While the king was in the garden
00:59:06Picking flowers for a friend who came to play
00:59:10While the queen was in the playroom
00:59:13Painting pictures for the children's holiday
00:59:17The Duchess of Kerkowski
00:59:21Always smiling and arriving late for tea
00:59:25While the dude was having a problem
00:59:28With a message at the local bird and bee
00:59:32At twelve o'clock
00:59:35I'm eating around the table for a see
00:59:38And sit in the door with voices
00:59:41Put on a knowing, put on a specially
