00:06Yuna. Yay! Thank you for having me. We're going to put you on the hot seat. All right,

00:12we're going to grill you with a few questions because that's kind of what we do on jukebox,

00:16try and get to know the person through their song choices. No judgment, just exploration.

00:21So let's get started with the first one. What's your go-to morning tune that gets you up and ready

00:31for the day? Wow, let's see. I love anything from the 90s. So TLC, Waterfall. TLC, Waterfall? Yeah,

00:43it just, you know, like wakes me up and I guess like, I don't know, Waterfall, going to the shower,

00:48I don't know. It's a nice gentle start. You don't want to be, you know, moshing first thing in the

00:54morning, right? No, you just want to be like, you know, grooving into the day. Like, yeah. All right,

00:59next one. Okay, Yuna, so what's the first song you fell in love with and couldn't stop singing

01:07as a kid? As a kid. As a kid, the first song that I fell in love with would have to be,

01:15and this is on my own, not, you know, like not my dad, like telling me to listen to the song.

01:20Okay. Was No Doubt, Don't Speak. Gwen Stefani. Yeah. So that was the first song I discovered on my

01:27own when I was eight years old. And definitely not a song by your parents. Nope. And did you do all

01:33the dance moves? I mean, were you drama and emo with it when you used to sing along? Oh, yes,

01:37like for sure. I was just like, I was listening to the song for the first time on the radio and I was

01:43like, wow, this is so beautiful. I wonder what she's singing about because back then, you know,

01:49I didn't speak English. Like, I didn't really like understand. I mean, like I would understand some

01:54words, but she was just singing about something and it's like, this is so beautiful. So I bought

02:01the cassette tape and then the album Tragic Kingdom and just to see the lyrics, you know,

02:08back then, that's how you discover. Exactly. You wrote the paper that was inside the box

02:14to read. And so tiny. Yeah. With the lyrics that was fed across the entire page, the sleeve

02:18of it, right? Yeah. You know, can you tell us what your first heartbreak anthem was? So

02:25not just a sad song you heard, but like you were going through heartbreak, you heard this

02:29song and that was it for you. I, well, you know, like back then, you know, I would watch

02:35like TV, coming back from school, like MTV was always on. So it was Madonna, Take a Bow.

02:42Oh. Oh. And then I was having a crush on someone in school and he didn't like me back. So I

02:49was reading, I was listening to Take a Bow like a lot at the time. Like, this is so sad.

02:55It's really sad. Like the show is over. Take a bow. Yeah. So I mean, like we weren't even

02:59in a relationship. He doesn't even know. But I just felt like, oh, my heart is crushed.

03:05How about telling us what song best sums up your experience of falling in love?

03:10There's this one song by Tame Impala. It feels like we're going on backwards.

03:19Every part of me says go ahead. So that song was constantly playing, you know, in the car.

03:30And I remember driving in LA, listening to that song. And of course, like Adam, during this

03:36time, he was in KL a lot. And he's never been to LA like to visit me. And I was just manifesting

03:44like one day I'm going to, I'm going to marry him. And then we're going to listen to the song

03:48driving to Malibu together. And so, yeah, I think that that was, yeah, that's the song.
