00:00Previously on Star Trek Strange New Worlds
00:28When we seek out the unknown, we will find things that challenge us
00:31I want to help, but it would appear all that I'm doing is making it worse
00:34We just need some personal time
00:35You brought me home
00:36That's what happened on Rigel 7
00:38What is that?
00:41It's the corn
00:42It is not safe to leave the ship
00:45It isn't safe inside the ship
00:46We are prey
00:50We do not give in to fear
00:54No!
00:58Captain's Log
01:11Stardate 2344.2
01:14The Cayuga is just outside Federation's space
01:17In orbit of the colony planet of Parnassus Beta
01:20Their founders designed it on the small town model
01:24Made to look like the old Midwestern United States
01:28We've been tasked with assisting the colonists
01:30Who are dealing with challenges on several fronts
01:32We're helping to stabilize their agricultural crop
01:36As well as providing necessary vaccinations
01:38Okay, ready?
01:39Ready?
01:40Ready?
01:41Ready?
01:42Ready?
01:43Ready?
01:44Ready?
01:45Ready?
01:46Ready?
01:47Ready?
01:48That's the last one
01:49You should all be up to date on their inoculations
01:51Thanks again for your help
01:53Yeah, I'm just grateful for the ride
01:54Dr. Corby doesn't mind you arriving a little early?
01:57No
01:58I mean, it's space
02:00Does anyone ever get there when they say they will?
02:02Fair point
02:03If you don't need me anymore, I'm gonna go back to the ship
02:05Just got a lot to do before we head out tomorrow
02:07Don't let me stop you
02:08Thanks again, Christine
02:10Travel to Cayuga
02:12One to beam up
02:13Energize
02:22Hello there, Captain
02:24What do I owe the pleasure of this call?
02:26Do I need a reason to call?
02:28Thought we were past that
02:29Yes, but
02:30I'm a very busy woman
02:31I can't just pick up every subspace call that comes my way
02:33Fair enough
02:34Next time I'll book an appointment through Yuri Omen
02:36I would appreciate that
02:38Are you holding up?
02:40I mean, I'm not bursting into song every ten minutes
02:43So that's a minor victory
02:44I'm very minor
02:46And how are the esteemed residents of Pornassus Beta?
02:49It's a little complicated down here
02:52Federation membership can protect them
02:55But they also see it as potentially putting a target on their heads
02:58That's tricky
02:59Have you tried?
03:00Chris
03:01I do this for a living, you know
03:03I know
03:04I just
03:05I miss you
03:07I miss you
03:09Wow
03:10Note the date and time
03:12Is that so hard to say?
03:15Not so hard
03:17Doug?
03:31Are we having issues with Khan's?
03:33Mine just went out
03:34Let me check with Cayuga
03:35It's called the bridge
03:37You read?
03:47Is that one of ours?
03:48Is that one of ours?
03:49Is that one of ours?
03:57Get Cayuga on comms now
03:59Ensign
04:00Ensign
04:01My God.
04:30Captain?
04:31Hey, Niota.
04:33To any Federation vessels in range, emergency transmission.
04:39Captain Patel to Cayuga.
04:41Need help.
04:43Immediate evacuation.
04:45Under attack, Gorn.
04:47Repeat, under attack by the Gorn.
04:50Ortega, make for Parnassus Beta.
04:52Everything she's got.
04:54Niota, get me Admiral April on a secure line.
04:57The Federation's at a dangerous point
05:00in our relationship with the Gorn hegemony.
05:02I know they've been massing on the border for some time.
05:04Right now, whatever this is,
05:06it's technically happening outside the Federation.
05:08This incident could spark a war between us and Gorn.
05:11Starfleet would like to avoid that.
05:13At what cost?
05:14The Gorn attacked us.
05:15They didn't attack us.
05:17They attacked a colony outside of our jurisdiction.
05:19And we need to know why.
05:21I think it's safe to say that we don't understand the Gorn.
05:23Love seeing them up close and personal,
05:25and they're not hard to understand, Bob.
05:26They're monsters.
05:27Monsters are worth to describe those who don't understand us.
05:29And sometimes a monster's just a monster.
05:31I need your utmost caution here, Captain.
05:33In reconnaissance only,
05:34we can't risk further aggravating the situation.
05:39Chris, I know you and Maria are close.
05:42I just wanna make sure it's not gonna color your judgment.
05:45Coming out of warp, sir.
05:47It won't. I count.
05:50Let's go.
05:59Yellow alert.
06:01Bring us around to the far side of the moon slowly, Erica.
06:03Aye, Captain.
06:07One moment.
06:08By Captain.
06:10Let's go.
06:11All right, Captain.
06:12I'm sorry, Captain.
06:13I'm sorry.
06:15I'm sorry, Captain.
06:16I'm sorry.
06:17I won't be sorry, Captain.
06:18I'm sorry, Captain.
06:20I'm sorry, Captain.
06:22While you're in my lane.
06:23I'm sorry, Captain.
06:25I'll be buggered.
06:27Space.
06:38The final frontier.
06:43These are the voyages of the Starship Enterprise.
06:48It's five-year mission.
06:50To explore strange new worlds.
06:55To seek out new life.
06:58And new civilizations.
07:02To boldly go where no one has gone before.
07:27And new variants of space.
07:32Upbeat music.
09:06And we need to think harder.
09:10When I last spoke with Captain Patel, she was on the surface, which means she's probably still there, along with a lot of her crew as well.
09:16Remember your training. Starfleet protocols would have any survivors of Cayuga trying to figure out a way to reach anyone who can listen.
09:24Coms are down, but we still have line of sight.
09:27She's right. Survivors could use that to send us signals. Fires, lights, smoke...
09:31Start observations. If there's anyone alive down there, I want to know it.
09:36Incoming warp signature detected. In orbit of Parnassus Beta.
09:38Red alert. Do we have visuals?
09:41Yes, Captain.
09:42I believe it is a Gorn hunter ship.
09:51Lon, prepare phasers, but hold your fire.
09:53Phasers locked and holding, sir.
09:55Captain, I'm receiving a secure communications from outside of the interference field.
09:59It's from Starfleet.
10:00What does it say?
10:04They've received a message from the Gorn, sir.
10:09A message? Saying what?
10:11It's an image.
10:13Put it on screen.
10:14Stand by.
10:16It looks like a demarcation line.
10:20With Parnassus Beta and all their forces on the far side of the line.
10:24Starfleet has ordered us to maintain our side of the line.
10:30Command crew, ready room now.
10:33On Starfleet's orders, we are holding to our side of the line.
10:36And the Gorn so far are holding to theirs.
10:40Unfortunately, that is where I believe our people are being held.
10:46I don't plan on leaving them behind.
10:48You want to cross the line.
10:49Which is why I'm not ordering any of you to join this mission.
10:51I'll take volunteers, but I'll go alone if I have to.
10:54I will go.
10:55I want to do what I can to help save Captain Mattel.
10:57And there's Chapel, who I hope made it to the surface as well.
11:00I certainly feel the same way.
11:02Not to speak for the crew, but I believe we all do.
11:04Thank you, number one.
11:05Mr. Spock, Ensign Uhura.
11:07But I was thinking we might need the three of you,
11:09along with your particular skill sets here,
11:11to keep us out of war with the Gorn.
11:12If you're taking volunteers, I'd like to sign up.
11:14Last time I saw the Gorn, I was scared out of my wits.
11:18But I'd appreciate another chance to study them up close.
11:23With a phaser?
11:25How else will we determine how best to kill them?
11:28I would like to aid in that study.
11:30I'd like them dead as much, if not more, than the rest of you.
11:34But that's not enough.
11:35We don't know what we're walking into down there.
11:39Phasers might not be enough.
11:41I have something that might help.
11:43Pike to transporter Chief J, is in-ship transport still functional?
11:46Yes, sir.
11:46Could you transport crate 32 directly to ready room, please?
11:50Authorization, pike Epsilon C6.
11:52Acknowledged, Captain.
11:53Transporting.
11:53Ever since the Gorn started massing on the edge of Federation space,
12:05Starfleet's been working on weapons to counter them.
12:07Now all our ships carry these, in case.
12:10Gorn protocols to be distributed upon an encounter with the hostile species.
12:14Breaking case of Gorn.
12:15These are Harmonic's adjustments to better counter the defenses.
12:18Scannery calibrations.
12:19Last time our tricorders couldn't detect Gorn at all.
12:21Now they do.
12:23Nitrogen grenades?
12:25Renders anything in a 10-meter range, frozen.
12:28Deadly for a cold-blooded lizard.
12:30Deadly for anyone.
12:32These are super cool toys and all,
12:33but how exactly are we supposed to even get to the surface to use them?
12:36There is a hunter ship just waiting to blow up anything that crosses the demarcation line.
12:41I don't know, Erika.
12:43Maybe all we need is to plot the right course.
12:46I've tried several routes using the gravity of the moon as a slingshot,
12:49and several others utilizing a geosynchronous orbit to take us off the same plane as the Gorn hunter.
12:54But there is no way to get us to the surface without coming into sensor range of the ship.
12:59If we cross the demarcation line, the Gorn aren't going to know about it.
13:01What's this stuff here?
13:07Debris from the Cayuga.
13:10I mean, they're not shooting at that, because they already did.
13:17Are you suggesting...
13:18Maybe the best way across is right in front of us.
13:21That's brilliant.
13:24Make yourselves look like a piece of space debris that Gorn might just let us pass through.
13:28I don't know if I love the word might there.
13:31Admittedly, we could use your expertise.
13:33This is a pretty tricky course we're talking about.
13:38You want me to pilot the shuttle?
13:40Come on, Erika.
13:41Haven't you been bugging me for months about joining a landing party?
13:45Yes, I have.
13:48Why have I been doing that?
13:51Matched and maintaining debris velocity.
13:59Current trajectory passes the hunter ship and the fourth Lagrange point.
14:04Thirty seconds.
14:06Entering Gorn scanner range.
14:08You should look as dead as whatever's left of the Cayuga.
14:12Sorry, sir.
14:13I didn't mean to be...
14:14My nerves are on edge as well.
14:17Prefer we didn't get this close if we had any other choice.
14:21They do not appear to notice the shuttle.
14:35Because they look like space garbage.
14:37Old zombie movie trick.
14:39Zombie movie?
14:41Yeah.
14:41Dress up like you're dead so the zombies don't notice you.
14:45You've never seen one?
14:46A zombie, no.
14:48A movie, yes.
14:49But I will add some to my research.
14:53The shuttle appears to be entering the atmosphere.
14:59They're out of range.
15:03And on their own.
15:03You're going to start the engine sometime soon, Erica?
15:27You're going to backseat drive me, sir?
15:28I'm waiting until we're under 1,500 meters.
15:31Just stay below their scans.
15:33Oh.
15:33Don't worry.
15:34I did this a hundred times during the war.
15:37Oh.
15:38Oh.
15:38Oh.
15:38Oh.
15:38Oh.
15:38Oh.
15:39Oh.
15:39Oh.
15:40Oh.
15:40Oh.
15:41Oh.
15:41Oh.
15:42Oh.
15:43Oh.
15:44Oh.
15:45Oh.
15:46Oh.
15:47Oh.
15:48Oh.
15:49Oh.
15:50Oh.
15:51Oh.
15:52Oh.
15:53Oh.
15:54Oh.
15:55Oh.
15:56Oh.
15:57Oh.
15:58Oh.
15:59Oh.
16:00Oh.
16:10I thought you were a test pilot.
16:13I was.
16:14Come on.
16:15It's like...
16:16It's like riding a bike.
16:17Yeah.
16:18Speed of light.
16:20You were born for this, Erica.
16:27Still trying to scan for life signs?
16:38I theorized I might be able to find a frequency gap through the interference field, but I have
16:43not managed to discover one yet.
16:45Spock, I don't think anyone's alive over there.
16:48Spectrum metric analysis suggests there are still pockets of oxygen on board.
16:53It is possible someone could have survived.
16:56I would never tell you not to hope.
16:58I want Chapel to be alive, too.
16:59Things...
17:00Did not end well between us.
17:01We were in...
17:02In a fight.
17:03All things that seem trivial in the face of death.
17:04I wish to apologize to her.
17:05Spock, what happened is not your fault.
17:06I wish to apologize to her.
17:07Spock, what happened is not your fault.
17:11Spock, I see.
17:12I see.
17:13If the I cayuga rotate once every two hours.
17:14The sick bay should be visible shortly.
17:15We can try any targeted scan.
17:16Perhaps then we'll see further proof of life.
17:17I see.
17:18I see.
17:19I see.
17:20I see.
17:21I see.
17:22I see.
17:23I see.
17:24I see.
17:25I see.
17:26I see.
17:27I see.
17:28I see.
17:29I see.
17:30I see.
17:31I see.
17:32I see.
17:33I see.
17:34I see.
17:35I see.
17:36I see.
17:37I see.
17:38I see.
17:39I see.
17:40Computer, magnify Cayuga's saucer.
17:50Sit bay is gone.
18:10Any idea what that is?
18:16It doesn't look native.
18:18Yeah, it's gone.
18:20There was something similar on the breeding planet.
18:23My brother Manny always thought it was a beacon
18:25to track past us by.
18:27Let's move up.
18:37I'm guessing that might be the source
18:39of the interference field.
18:41Good guess.
18:42It's locking any signals from the surface to orbit.
18:45So they dropped that,
18:47and no one on the ground can call for help.
18:51Reading any bogies nearby?
18:53Negative.
19:09Looks like they fought back.
19:16I think they made a stand in some of the buildings.
19:19And they lost.
19:21There's 5,000 people here.
19:23Bound to be survivors.
19:25I wouldn't bet on it.
19:27You made it out.
19:28Sir, I'm reading a bogie.
19:30Nine o'clock.
19:31Yep, I've got it too.
19:32Solo.
19:33Signs suggest a Gorn Younglin.
19:34Copy.
19:35Take cover.
19:36Okay, madam.
19:38Okay.
19:55Not sure.
19:56A new phaser settings work.
20:16Why a youngling?
20:18I mean, why set up this elaborate tower
20:20and then send babies out to face us?
20:21They spread their eggs to soften up a planet for conquering.
20:25That tower?
20:27That's just them locking the door.
20:29It looked hungry.
20:31If that's true...
20:32There's no food left.
20:34People could still be alive.
20:37Just hiding.
20:39Look around.
20:41Uh, guys, we need to move.
20:42We have bogeys, plural, incoming.
20:44How many?
20:45Dozens.
20:45That's a lot of bogeys.
20:46Barbershop, now.
20:47Lights off.
21:01It's just there.
21:02Take care.
21:06Take care.
21:07Hey, sees.
21:15I don't know.
21:16sá»±'s at, man.
21:17I'm sorry.
21:18I'll pay attention.
21:19Commander Pellia, I could use your help.
21:34Yeah, well, I'm listening, but I still need to finish recalibrating the deflector shield power conduits.
21:40Right. We might need those.
21:43Um, I've been trying to get to the bottom of how the Goron are managing the block communications.
21:49What did you discover?
21:50That I need an engineer's help.
21:52Oh, please.
21:55I have this crazy theory.
21:58Huh.
22:01Oh, well, it's not that crazy. I just thought you might...
22:05Don't trigger code it. I love a crazy theory.
22:17Doesn't make sense.
22:19They shouldn't be gathering like that, the younglings.
22:22They should be fighting for dominance, not working together.
22:26If you don't understand them, it means there's something about the Goron we've yet to discover.
22:31Maybe instead of finding a way to fight them, we...
22:33We...
22:34Find some way to...
22:37Reach them, or...
22:40Ever the optimist.
22:43Sometimes...
22:44Hope is a choice.
22:46Yeah, you've told me that one before.
22:48Maybe I'm just saying it because I need to hear it.
22:52It's why we're here.
22:54On this planet.
22:55Captain Battelle is tough, though.
23:05I mean, if she can handle you, the Goron should be a piece of cake.
23:07Looks like the Goron have moved on.
23:16Sam, you reading anything?
23:18Yeah, I've been picking up an anomalous signal coming from down the street.
23:21Goron?
23:22No.
23:23Human.
23:23Human.
23:24Human.
23:25Human.
23:26Human.
23:27Human.
23:28Human.
23:29Human.
23:30Human.
23:31Human.
23:32Human.
23:33Human.
23:34Human.
23:35Human.
23:36Human.
23:37Human.
23:38Human.
23:39Human.
23:40Human.
23:41Human.
23:42Human.
23:43Human.
23:44Human.
23:45Human.
23:46Human.
23:47Human.
23:48Human.
23:49Human.
23:50Human.
23:51Human.
23:52Human.
23:53Human.
23:54Whoever they are, they aren't being careful enough.
24:24No one.
24:29They can't have gone far. Sam?
24:33The signal's been coming from this.
24:45You're not gone.
24:47Obviously.
24:48You shouldn't have walked into my gone trap then.
24:50We detected humans in here.
24:52We were trying to rescue them.
24:54Yeah, the humans you detected is that wee box right there.
24:58Programmed to send out auditory and pheromonal life signs at regular intervals.
25:03Not to mention heat signatures.
25:05Fools those dumb lizards and most scanners.
25:10So you're just gonna leave us in here?
25:13Sorry.
25:14I'm gonna go to my manners.
25:18Montgomery Scott at your service.
25:21Lieutenant, junior grade.
25:22Captain Pike of the USS Enterprise.
25:23This is Lieutenant Noonien Singh, Dr. Mbenga, Lieutenant Ortegas, and Lieutenant Kirk.
25:28That's a lot of left in it.
25:29It'll be a quiz.
25:30Lieutenant Scott, I don't recognize you from the Cayuga's roster.
25:32Oh, I'm not from the Cayuga.
25:37I'm from the Star Diver, or at least I was.
25:41The Solar Research Vessel.
25:42The Solar Research Vessel.
25:43Aye.
25:43We were monitoring solar flare activity one system over when the Gorn caught us by surprise.
25:48They attacked you.
25:49They overwhelmed us.
25:52The ship's gone.
25:53I'm afraid.
25:54I'm afraid.
25:54The whole crew.
25:56How did you escape?
25:58Mr. Scott.
25:59In a shuttle.
26:00You ran from the Gorn in a shuttle.
26:02How were you not dead?
26:04Well, firstly, I-I jury-rigged the engines to increase their capacity, and secondly, I-well,
26:11I figured out how to hide in plain sight.
26:15Sounds resourceful.
26:16And mysterious.
26:18When an armada of human-eating lizards come my way, I can get quite, eh, creative.
26:23Mr. Scott.
26:24Do you know if any of the crew from Cayuga made it?
26:41Chris, you found us.
26:49They couldn't stop-
26:50The idiots!
26:51Okay.
26:52Not the welcome I was expecting.
26:54Why are you here?
26:55Isn't that obvious?
26:56Coming for me, for us.
26:58It was a crazy idea.
27:00I would never want you to endanger yourselves.
27:02Well, a little late for that, and not your call.
27:04Goddamn it, Chris.
27:05Hey.
27:06Don't blame me.
27:07If you didn't want me showing up unexpectedly, you shouldn't have hung up on me.
27:10So, there.
27:13You were safe.
27:16Now you're-
27:18You're here.
27:20Yeah.
27:21I'm here.
27:22And Enterprise is in orbit.
27:23We can get you out of here.
27:24Transporters don't work.
27:25Lucky me.
27:26I have a shuttle.
27:27Candle fit in the shuttle.
27:29We're gonna get some people out.
27:31It's not enough.
27:32Besides the second you try, they'll shoot you down.
27:34What about Mr. Scott, the engineer?
27:36What about him?
27:37He said he ran from the Gorn in a shuttle.
27:43The Stardiver was stationed one system over.
27:46The-the Shangdi system, it's a red supergiant.
27:51Really spectacular specimen.
27:53Okay.
27:54But where did the Gorn come into it?
27:55I'm getting there.
27:56Um, Shangdi released a truly dramatic series of CMEs.
28:01What's a CME?
28:02Coronal mass ejection.
28:04Like a solar flare, but a lot more violent.
28:06They're not common.
28:07At least, not like the series we saw.
28:10Really, amazingly.
28:12Blast after blast, firing off into the solar system.
28:16And all of a sudden, there they were.
28:20Like a swarm.
28:22They're gone.
28:23But you didn't detect them before.
28:25Starfleet would have worn them first.
28:27Something about the flares brought them out.
28:30With locusts, environmental factors can trigger a swarming instinct, causing them to consume.
28:37What if it's the same with the Gorn?
28:39CMEs in certain sequences set off a consumption cycle.
28:43Are you suggesting they invaded because of sunsports?
28:46You showed us how they communicate ship to ship through light.
28:49What if they evolved with some deep ingrained sensitivity to it?
28:52If that's true, it's critical.
28:54If they react instinctively to solar activity, we might be able to use that against them.
28:58All the more reason to find our way off this planet.
29:00You said earlier, you figure out a way to hide in plain sight?
29:04With the Gorn, best I can explain.
29:07I did a quick assessment of their scanning tech, and I saw how they recognized each other.
29:12It's similar to our transponders in where I built one.
29:16Pretty quick.
29:18You built a Gorn transponder?
29:20Using equipment from our solar array.
29:22Basically, to a scanner, the shuttle looked like a Gorn ship.
29:25But if they couldn't recognize you, how did you not get away?
29:27Well, I took damage.
29:29By the time I was hidden, I was leaking antimatter.
29:31This was the closest planet I could set down on.
29:33I happened to be right where they were headed.
29:35Could you build another device like the one you made?
29:38Well, not unless you have a Hubble K7C stellar assessment array I can cannibalize.
29:42Use some help, Doc.
29:57Always.
29:58Have a Duma regenerator.
29:59Thought you were off planning the next stage of the fight.
30:00Oh, leading that to the Captains.
30:01Did you ask about Christine?
30:02She'd been back to the Cayuga.
30:03I'm gonna be honest.
30:04That's not great news.
30:05No.
30:06It isn't.
30:07It isn't.
30:08It's if Christine were here.
30:10Oh, leading that to the captains.
30:16Did you ask about Christine?
30:19She'd been back to the Cayuga.
30:23I'm gonna be honest.
30:26That is not great news.
30:30No.
30:32It isn't.
30:36But if Christine were here,
30:38she'd tell us to pick up the pace.
30:42These people can't treat themselves.
30:45That's a pretty good Christine.
30:50She does it better than me.
30:58Two warped signatures incoming.
31:00Born hunters?
31:02Yes.
31:03They are holding to their side of the demarcation line for now.
31:09Can't make this red alert any redder, Mr. Spock.
31:12Commander, can we talk to you and Lieutenant Spock, please?
31:16You've determined the source of the interference field.
31:18Not exactly.
31:19We've determined the location from which the field emanates.
31:23Short version, by adjusting our output, we triangulated the point of origin of the counter signals.
31:29Now, we don't have any photos because it's on the far side of the planet.
31:32But we do know it's not native.
31:36There's no structure indicated on any colony maps in that location.
31:40I'm betting it's some kind of machine the Gorn brought.
31:44If we can destroy it, we can resume comms and transporter signals.
31:48The only problem I can see is there's no way for us to use weapons on it without getting into a larger war.
31:52We can't fire weapons, but we already know that the Gorn don't respond to space debris.
32:00So all we have to do is find a way to get a piece of debris large enough to survive reentry to crash into that structure.
32:07The saucer section of the Cayuga.
32:09My goodness.
32:11If you had answered like that in my class, I would have given you an A+.
32:15With the right calculations and a few well-placed retro rockets, we can make it appear that Cayuga's orbit is decaying naturally.
32:26Just more space junk burning up in the atmosphere.
32:30While it is descending to the surface, we can make a few last-minute attitude adjustments so that it will crash exactly where we want it to.
32:41And by the time the Gorn realized what's happened, it'll be too late.
32:44We can beam our people up and get the hell out of here.
32:47Placing those rockets is a near-impossible task. No human can do this.
32:52I, however, can.
32:56Spock.
32:57The Commander and the Ensign are right. If you want to rescue our people on the surface, this is our best chance.
33:03I know losing Christine is hard.
33:05Yes, I am upset. But I have not given it to grief yet.
33:08Logic dictates we do not know Chappell's or Patel's fate. And until we do, the best chance we have to save them is if Enterprise takes out the Gorn's interference field.
33:17Further, I am the only member of the crew who can pull this off. If it is to succeed, it must be me.
33:22It must be me.
33:23It must be me.
33:24It must be me.
33:25It must be me.
33:27I also continue to love with you if it is for monitoring in two years
33:30but I might not give up any financial people's experience.
33:34No.
33:36Remember how?
33:37We were trying to receive it from the intersection and make goals.
33:43If you had that moment, you can't love them.
33:47It must be me.
34:48Thank you, Mr. Scott.
35:18If we take back, we'll stay off the main street.
35:23We might even be able to avoid the gorn.
35:29Oh, in case we don't...
35:32Okay.
35:37We might be able to avoid the gorn.
35:42We might be able to avoid the gorn.
35:45One, I have to go through the circle line.
36:15Warning, oxygen will soon reach critical levels.
36:34Warning, oxygen will soon reach critical levels.
36:37Warning, oxygen will soon reach critical levels.
36:54Warning, oxygen will soon reach critical levels.
36:57Power mode, life support failing.
37:13Power restored, life support will remain functional for one hour.
37:17An hour?
37:19Okay.
37:20Yeah, we can move with that.
37:27Okay.
37:34Okay.
37:36Let's begin.
37:43We'll see you later.
37:50Okay.
38:57Spock has successfully placed the first rocket.
39:07He's moving into second position.
39:27Spock! Spock!
39:29Spock!
39:30Spock!
39:31Spock!
39:32Spock!
39:33Spock!
39:35Spock!
39:36Spock!
39:37Spock!
39:39Spock!
39:40Oh, my God.
40:10Ah, there it is.
40:14Yeah, the fused part is on the side right there.
40:21Captain Pike, if you can help, we might be able to pry it off.
40:25Captain Bedell, I think I left an eye on Wilder over there, if you see it.
40:40Spider-Man, please input command code.
40:59Spock?
41:00Spider-Man, please input command code.
41:05Spider-Man, please input command code.
41:08Command code invalid.
41:19Command code invalid.
41:27Command code invalid.
41:28Command code invalid.
41:38Command code invalid.
41:40Command code invalid.
41:42Command code invalid.
41:46Command code invalid.
41:50Command code invalid.
41:52Command code invalid.
41:54To be continued...
42:24What the hell just happened?
42:31We got lucky.
42:34You're telling me that that thing just chose not to attack?
42:37Let's not waste time questioning it, Mr. Scott.
42:40Uh, I might need to break the quadracoupler.
42:45I can probably borrow another from the shield array.
42:49What if I didn't use it already?
42:54The saucer is moving.
43:18The saucer is moving.
43:48The saucer is moving.
44:18Oh, my God.
44:48Oh, my God.
45:18Oh, my God.
45:20Marie, talk to me.
45:22Why did that go and run away?
45:24I don't know, Chris.
45:26Hey.
45:30They came all the way here to find you.
45:32Trust me with the truth.
45:34What happened yesterday?
45:44The eggs mature in about a day and a half.
45:46Oh, my God.
45:52Oh, my God.
45:56I don't know.
45:58Oh, my God.
46:00I don't know.
46:30I can't go with you. You know that. You know what'll happen.
46:36You can't make this decision.
46:37I won't endanger your crew or the survivors.
46:41That's what Hammer did, Chris.
46:42Hammer.
46:43He understood.
46:44He was brave, but he didn't give us a choice.
46:47Here's my choice.
46:49We free the device, install it in your shuttle, I fly it into the Gorin Tower, destroy it, and you and the rest of the survivors beamed Enterprise.
46:57There's got to be a way to save you.
47:01You have to let us at least try.
47:04All right.
47:10I don't mean to interrupt, but you both better grab onto something.
47:15The field is gone.
47:26Transporters and comms are back online.
47:28Spark to transporter.
47:30Two to be aboard as soon as possible.
47:32Two.
47:33Acknowledge and relate, Lieutenant.
47:34Number one to Pike, do you read?
47:36Boy, am I glad to hear your voice, number one.
47:38No time to waste, Chris.
47:39I don't know how much time we have before the Gorin react.
47:41I need you to track the colonists and beam them up.
47:43They're in a building two clicks south by southwest.
47:46What about you?
47:46Three to beam up directly to sick bay.
47:48We'll need a med team.
47:49And have Pellia meet us there, too.
47:50Acknowledged.
48:06Welcome back, both of you.
48:07I hate to do this to you, Nurse Chapel, but we need you in sick bay ASAP.
48:10And Mr. Spock, we could use your help on the bridge right about now.
48:12Copy that.
48:12Understood, Commander.
48:15Christine.
48:18I'm sorry.
48:19I don't.
48:19Save it.
48:21There'll be time later.
48:40Christine?
48:42Oh.
48:47You have no idea how happy I am to see you.
48:49Same here.
48:50What's happening?
48:52Captain Patel is in need of immediate sedation.
48:59We'll also need a stasis field.
49:01I think if there's one sign we can't stop it, I need you to take me out.
49:08I'm not giving up on her.
49:10I have no intention of doing that.
49:12Oh, uh, Commander Pellia, this is Lieutenant Scott.
49:18He needs your help.
49:21Hello, Scotty.
49:22Professor.
49:23You two know each other?
49:24One of my best students, who sadly received some of my worst grades.
49:29Well, I'll leave you to it.
49:30What the hell is this supposed to be?
49:36Something that could help his hate from the gone.
49:38Oh.
49:39If it can fix it.
49:42Captain on the bridge.
49:44Wish it were better circumstances.
49:45It's in time for more bad news.
49:46Bourne destroyer arrived in orbit.
49:48We're facing four ships.
49:49Long-range scans have revealed more Bourne ships in the vicinity.
49:52Arriving in minutes.
49:53Devasive maneuvers.
49:54Aura, I need to get a priority message to Starfleet.
49:57We've learned some critical intel about the Bourne that they need to know.
49:59Hi, Captain.
49:59I'll open a channel.
50:00Number one, I need to buy time to transport Lon, Ortegas, Kirk, and Benga, and all the
50:04colonists off the planet.
50:05Captain, the transporter is not currently picking up anyone on the surface.
50:08What?
50:09There has been no evacuation of any kind.
50:11We have been scanning since your first call.
50:12We read no human life signs on Parnassus Beta.
50:14That's impossible.
50:15There are hundreds of them.
50:16Check again.
50:19I'm reading residual transport signatures from the center of town.
50:22Non-Starfleet.
50:24What are you saying?
50:25The colonists in the landing party appear to have been beamed up by the Gorn.
50:32Ah!
50:32No!
50:38No!
51:01No!
51:03Ah!
51:03Priority medicine, Starfleet. Admiral April's ordering our immediate withdrawal.
51:24Sir, do I respond?
51:27But the Gorns still have our people.
51:33Captain, Captain, orders, Captain.
52:03Captain, Captain, Captain.
52:11Captain, Captain, Captain.
52:17Captain, Captain, Captain.
52:26Captain, Captain, Captain.
52:32Captain, Captain, Captain.
53:02Captain, Captain, Captain.
53:10Captain, Captain.
