00:05:59et
00:06:01j'ai vu le travail qu'il se fait
00:06:03jour en et jour,
00:06:04juste pour devenir un footballeur.
00:06:05Je vois mes frères,
00:06:08je vois mes frères,
00:06:09prendre la balle,
00:06:09early à l'heure,
00:06:11juste pour pratiquer.
00:06:13Et puis, je me suis dit non,
00:06:14countless de fois.
00:06:16Je me suis dit qu'il est trop grand
00:06:18pour jouer football.
00:06:18Et même à un jeune âge,
00:06:19je me suis dit qu'il est trop grand
00:06:21pour jouer football.
00:06:22Et, despite ça,
00:06:23il était toujours persiste.
00:06:25Il ne m'aiment pas.
00:06:26Il n'aimait pas.
00:06:26Il n'aimait pas.
00:06:27Il n'aimait pas.
00:06:28Il n'aimait pas.
00:06:29Il n'aimait pas.
00:06:30Mais ce n'est pas de sa capacité,
00:06:32il n'aimait pas de sa façon.
00:06:34Quand je m'aimait Baille,
00:06:35le footballeur,
00:06:36je me suis dit,
00:06:37c'est incroyable.
00:06:38Il peut faire tout,
00:06:38c'est incroyable.
00:06:39Quand j'étais en classe,
00:06:41je me suis venu de l'écouter.
00:06:42Je me suis venu de l'école,
00:06:43de l'Arsenal.
00:06:44Baille,
00:06:45c'était juste un truc
00:06:46en train de faire.
00:06:48Je connais Baille
00:06:49de la seconde,
00:06:50les connaissances sa famille,
00:06:52sa famille.
00:07:50Et il me dit, « Oui, je vais aller.
00:07:51C'est mon goal.
00:07:52Je vais montrer les gens ce que je peux faire.
00:07:54Je vais montrer mes talents.
00:07:56Et je garantis que vous,
00:07:58une fois que j'ai fait ça,
00:07:59les gens vont connaître.
00:08:00Et vous allez me voir.
00:08:01Et vous allez me voir ici.
00:08:02Donc, le Lithuanian truc qui s'est passé,
00:08:05parce que je me souviens,
00:08:07ils disaient qu'ils voulaient payer me
00:08:09pour jouer football.
00:08:10Donc, c'était mon premier professionnel contract.
00:08:12So, all right, cool.
00:08:13So, it didn't even cross my mind.
00:08:15It didn't cross my mind that I didn't speak the language.
00:08:18It didn't cross my mind that I wouldn't enjoy the food.
00:08:21And it didn't cross my mind that I'd be the only black person there.
00:08:24So, anyway, we fly out.
00:08:26And we were staying in a city, Klaipador,
00:08:29which is like four hours away from Vilnius.
00:08:32So, we get to Klaipador.
00:08:34And so, what I'd learned quickly,
00:08:39that I was the first black person in the league
00:08:43and one of four or five black people in the city of Klaipador.
00:08:47So, we play our first pre-season game.
00:08:49And it wasn't in the stadium.
00:08:51So, when you play, it was a Leicester team.
00:08:53So, when you play the game,
00:08:55the fans are standing beside the pitch.
00:08:58So, anyway, we're about to kick off.
00:09:00And as strikers do, I stood.
00:09:02So, I thought I heard monkey charts.
00:09:05I was like, nah, man.
00:09:07That can't be the case.
00:09:09So, anyway, five-minute goals.
00:09:10And it's the first time now I touch the ball.
00:09:12So, I bring it down on my chest.
00:09:14And it's...
00:09:15I was like, whoa, what?
00:09:17Them...
00:09:18Them men are being...
00:09:19That's monkey charts.
00:09:20So, now I'm like, nah, that's definitive.
00:09:22I know this shit.
00:09:23Anyway, five-minute goals.
00:09:26Then...
00:09:28Hits.
00:09:29Zigger, zigger, zigger.
00:09:31Shoot the fucking nigga.
00:09:33And see, what makes this...
00:09:34This...
00:09:35This whole story even worse
00:09:37was, say it was about a thousand people
00:09:39that were just chanting that.
00:09:41500 were my own fans.
00:09:43So, the start of the second half comes.
00:09:45And...
00:09:46I remember it started again.
00:09:48Zigger's...
00:09:49I was like, nah, man.
00:09:50I'm coming off.
00:09:51And I remember coming off.
00:09:52And the roar from the crowd was like a goal was scored.
00:09:56So, I remember I walked off.
00:09:58And I remember I get the president of my club.
00:10:01I get his phone.
00:10:02And I phone my brother.
00:10:03And I goes to him, yo, yo.
00:10:04Yo, Shams.
00:10:05You hear me?
00:10:06The older one.
00:10:07I was like, I'm coming home.
00:10:08He's like, why?
00:10:09Because yo, man.
00:10:10These men are being racist.
00:10:11This is what they said.
00:10:12I said to him, look, listen.
00:10:14If you come home, then they've won.
00:10:18It's not about them.
00:10:19It's about you.
00:10:21I went back to the hotel I was staying, thinking, listen,
00:10:24I'm coming home.
00:10:25But boy, I woke up the next day.
00:10:26And I just remember saying to myself,
00:10:28ain't nobody running me out of anywhere.
00:10:31So, I went to Lithuania to support my brother.
00:10:33And I was 14 at the time.
00:10:35So, like, even just analyzing that whole situation,
00:10:38one memory that stood out to me,
00:10:40I can remember going to, like, a supermarket.
00:10:43So, we walked in the supermarket.
00:10:45And I ain't even going to lie to you,
00:10:47like, the whole supermarket stopped.
00:10:49Like, so, I'm thinking, right, I'm on edge.
00:10:52So, I'm looking at my brother like, yo, like, what's going on?
00:10:55And then I can remember, like, a young girl.
00:10:57She could have been, like, seven, eight.
00:10:59And she ran up to us and she done, like, the Hitler sign.
00:11:02And she said, white power.
00:11:03He was a guy from London being over in Lithuania.
00:11:07So, I think he had some very low moments.
00:11:10And that wasn't exactly, he wasn't prepared for what he went through
00:11:15and the loneliness, you know.
00:11:16So, I think that probably tested his character as much as anything.
00:11:19You know, not a lot of people can come back from something like that.
00:11:21I could see he was hurt by it because it was the shock, you know.
00:11:24You don't sign for a football club and then get terrorised, you know.
00:11:28It just doesn't happen.
00:11:30Stayed there the year.
00:11:31We got to equivalent to the FA Cup, Lithuanian Cup.
00:11:34Scored the winner.
00:11:36Like, it was the first time, like, I experienced celebrity.
00:11:40I remember opening up an Adidas store.
00:11:42Didn't pay in cinema.
00:11:44Didn't pay at restaurants.
00:11:45Met the mayor of Klaipador.
00:11:47Listen, I'll get the game twisted.
00:11:49I was, there was still racist.
00:11:50I was still getting racist abuse from the away fans.
00:11:53What my fans started to take to me.
00:11:55I remember going back to Lithuania a year later and I was amazed.
00:11:59Everyone loved him.
00:12:00This boy ran up to him, asking for his signature.
00:12:03In a space of a year, he had changed everyone's opinion.
00:12:07And for me, that was always my brother.
00:12:11He always had that ability.
00:12:13A lot of people were scared of the things they didn't know.
00:12:16Listen, don't allow nobody to change who you are.
00:12:20It was time for me to leave.
00:12:21And the club I went from there was Barrytown.
00:12:25I had to try and get back.
00:12:26I'd done two years in Lithuania.
00:12:28Went to Barrytown.
00:12:29Then Barrytown folded.
00:12:30So again, it was the start of my process.
00:12:32It was the start of my journey.
00:12:34And one thing, listen, as I'm old enough now, I can hit that.
00:12:39I knew I was always resilient.
00:12:41I knew what my end goal was.
00:12:43And Barrytown was the process that went into administration and I had to start again.
00:12:48Boston for a month, Leighton Orient for a month, Rushton Diamonds for three months.
00:12:54And at these times, you could go from as many clubs.
00:12:58See, that's all changed now, isn't it?
00:13:00So I always say this because I get this tag, this journey, man.
00:13:03But you couldn't do this now.
00:13:05But I went from club to club to club.
00:13:07And again, it was rejection and rejection.
00:13:09And I always say this story in the sense where, don't feel sorry for me.
00:13:12I don't want people to feel sorry for me when I'm telling this story.
00:13:15It was just part of my journey.
00:13:17And then Doncaster.
00:13:18And I think Doncaster was the time where it was like, aye, B's arrived.
00:13:22So in all honesty, I don't even know how my brother does it.
00:13:25He would get up, be on the bike, then he would go to training.
00:13:28He makes sure he does the bike before he goes training.
00:13:30And then I might wake up and see him on Snapchat and we're competitive.
00:13:34So that makes me get up and go to the gym.
00:13:36So then he's a father of five, I'm a father of two.
00:13:39So it's like, it's constant.
00:13:41But even when I see his routine, it's just, it's relentless.
00:13:44It's constant.
00:13:45He goes in, he goes in, he goes in.
00:13:47Look, I always knew my brother was going to be where he's at now.
00:13:51Like no one, I was just waiting for the world to catch up.
00:13:54Like my brothers, I've always seen my brothers being that, that person.
00:13:59So of course there was confidence there.
00:14:01And I remember my first training session, one of the strikers there.
00:14:05And listen, I was cocky.
00:14:06And I was like, listen, I've come to take your position.
00:14:08And I'll always say, I learned a lot at Donny.
00:14:11When in there, I think I scored four goals in eight games.
00:14:16We got promoted.
00:14:19We had a parade in the town hall.
00:14:21Me and the fans, we got on Wicked.
00:14:23And then come the end of the season, I remember the manager pulled me in his office.
00:14:27And he was like, listen, we're not going to offer you a contract.
00:14:30I'd expected to get a contract.
00:14:32I'd done well.
00:14:33And, but then of course, throughout the summer, Torky had come in for me.
00:14:37So Torky also got promoted from League Two.
00:14:39And I'd sat down with Leroy Rosinha.
00:14:42And when we sat down, Leroy Rosinha said, listen, I'd never worked under a black manager before.
00:14:47So he was a black manager.
00:14:48And he was like, look, B, I know you're trying to get back to London.
00:14:51And I'll help you get back to London.
00:14:53So, you know, he's a striker, like I was a striker.
00:14:56He had gone through racial abuse, like I'd gone through racial abuse.
00:14:59So I was like, yeah, yeah, this is going to work.
00:15:01I scored my goals for Torky, enjoyed my time.
00:15:05And then I got my move to Swansea.
00:15:07There was a part of his career where he broke his leg.
00:15:10And I remember him walking out of Swansea without a contract.
00:15:14And this was around the time that he was having his first child.
00:15:17When I broke my leg, it was the first big injury that I had had.
00:15:23And I remember the doctor saying, boy, you may not kind of come back from this.
00:15:30And I remember the surgeon came in, the surgeon said, listen, you're out.
00:15:34You're out. You're out for six months. Boom.
00:15:36And it was at a stage where it's stupid for me.
00:15:42I look back, it's the only regret I got in, in my footballing career.
00:15:46I rejected a contract that was offered for me while injured.
00:15:50And I wasn't affiliated to a club.
00:15:53And I had my daughter and I was broke.
00:15:57And it was the most scariest time in my life.
00:15:59Hands down, nothing comes close to that period.
00:16:01Breaking your leg in football, like, that's a massive obstacle.
00:16:05It's your legs. It's your bread and butter. It's what you use.
00:16:07Like, there was a setback of a year, you know, so we had to do rehab.
00:16:12So I can just imagine going through that and overcoming it.
00:16:15It was hard for him and it was hard for the whole family.
00:16:18I'd never experienced fear like that.
00:16:20And anybody who's a parent will understand this in the sense where,
00:16:23see, when you're, when you cater for yourself, it's cool.
00:16:26If I wanted to go hungry, I can go hungry.
00:16:28But to ever think that my daughter could go hungry.
00:16:30So I went to affiliate to her club.
00:16:33I'd burnt through my savings within four months.
00:16:36I'd still had to pay for my mortgages and I'd gone broke.
00:16:39That was a point where I'd gone broke.
00:16:41I remember I was trying to get loans.
00:16:43And that fear of not being able to support my child or my family,
00:16:52for me resonates still to this day.
00:16:54I keep saying, like, not scoring goals, not being known.
00:16:59For me, that's, it is what it is.
00:17:01I think as a father, my greatest fear on this planet is not to be able
00:17:04to provide for my five kids.
00:17:06It still, listen, it still scares me now.
00:17:08That's the reason why I played to the age of 40.
00:17:10I was doing my rehab and I wasn't affiliated to her club.
00:17:13So it got to a point, I had my daughter.
00:17:14So I got to a point where, listen, I had to get a paycheck.
00:17:17So then the former manager at Swansea got the Millwall job
00:17:21and he took me there and I'd been out for eight months.
00:17:24And I always say that Millwall was the place where I wasn't able
00:17:27to show what I was about just because I was,
00:17:30I was just coming back from injury.
00:17:32And then Millwall, I went to, there was two options after I got released
00:17:36from Millwall.
00:17:37It was Cheltenham or Northampton.
00:17:39And it's crazy because I only picked Northampton because it was closest to me.
00:17:43But it was the best decision that I could have made.
00:17:46I enjoyed my time, scored crazy goals, had an affiliation and relation
00:17:51with the fans that was surreal.
00:17:53Swansea was no joke.
00:17:54I'll always say that it was real.
00:17:56It was a step up.
00:17:57And when I mean a step up in everything, I'm talking about the facilities.
00:18:00I remember I went round and I saw the stadium, the Liberty Stadium, the step up, the training.
00:18:06And it's crazy.
00:18:07I got to training a little bit late for pre-season.
00:18:10And I remember how quick it was and how technically good everybody was.
00:18:14So I remember one time thinking, ooh, they may be thinking, what have they signed here?
00:18:18So I keep saying my only regret is the rehab I did.
00:18:25I did it sporadically.
00:18:26So I was going from club to club because I was trying to get back into the game.
00:18:30And it's funny because people see me now and think I walk with a little bowl, a little swagger.
00:18:34It's because my rehab is different and my right leg is shorter than my left leg.
00:18:39So after leaving Northampton, I went to Gillingham, went back to Northampton and then Wimbledon.
00:18:45So I think Wimbledon was when people really started to know my name in the sense where we played Liverpool,
00:18:52scored against Liverpool.
00:18:54I always say, listen, if you can't play for the team, you support the next best figures to line up against them
00:18:58and then score, met Stevie G, got Stevie D's shirt.
00:19:02And then at the playoff final at Wimbledon, which there were some iconic memories from there,
00:19:08managed to score at Wembley.
00:19:10So yeah, good times, great memories.
00:19:28Swansea was my education and I think in all aspects, the facilities, the interactions, the standard.
00:19:40I saw the Liberty Stadium.
00:19:42I scored the first goal in the Liberty Stadium in front of 20,000 people, which was surreal.
00:19:46Fast forward to the playoff final that was at the Minnellian Stadium.
00:19:50And it's funny because I started on a bench six weeks on, got to the playoff final and it got to penalty shootouts.
00:19:58And it's crazy because even though I wasn't a penalty taker at the time, I was mad confident at taking it.
00:20:05And I can remember having a ball and I was whistling and that wasn't an arrogance.
00:20:09It was just to settle myself.
00:20:11And I take the pen and I see the ball rise over the bar.
00:20:15It was silent.
00:20:17I remember thinking to myself, oh shit, I just missed.
00:20:21I remember putting my shirt over my nose and I start walking back.
00:20:26So in my head I'm thinking, oh shit, I'm the one who fucked this up for everybody.
00:20:32Martinez comes down and he wasn't even in the squad and he is crying and he holds me and he goes, B, it just wasn't our time.
00:20:46And like, I well up because I was like, oh, that's how important this shit was.
00:20:54Because at this time I'm devastated.
00:20:56It hit me like a ton of bricks.
00:20:59The devastation of, for me, what I felt I caused.
00:21:03And it's funny because normally my brothers are always there.
00:21:08Big moments.
00:21:09Them men are always there.
00:21:11And they wasn't there at the time.
00:21:13I remember my partner at the time was there and she was the only one that was there.
00:21:16And my brothers had, they had booked Miami.
00:21:19So as you do at Young, we booked Miami.
00:21:22Not now and we'll get to the playoff final.
00:21:24So because they couldn't change their ticket.
00:21:26They had gone out, I think a day or a couple of days earlier.
00:21:29So they wasn't there.
00:21:30And I remember the next day, which for me was a godsend, was I was booked to go to Miami.
00:21:37So win, lose or draw, I was out of whatever the situation I was in.
00:21:42And I can remember sitting in the lounge, headphones on, hoodie, just thinking, oh man, I didn't want to go to Miami.
00:21:49I didn't want to crawl up and die.
00:21:52I just, I wanted to be by myself.
00:21:54I always remember this.
00:21:56So I knocked the door of the hotel and both my brothers, it seemed like they opened it at the same time.
00:22:04But they're standing there.
00:22:06And when I mean them, they embraced me.
00:22:08Like they embraced me hard.
00:22:10Like, and we're just like, B, look, it is what it is, isn't it?
00:22:15Like we wanted you to win.
00:22:16And this always stays with me.
00:22:18So my brothers goes to me, look, we acknowledge the past.
00:22:21We live for today and we plan for the future.
00:22:25So Miami will always, it will always hold like a significant place in my heart.
00:22:31Because it, for me, it's poignant in what, there's certain elements that's happened in life.
00:22:39I'm not going to lie to you, man.
00:22:55I'm up on business this year.
00:22:57Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:22:58I need that as my inspiration.
00:23:02I think we should take it all the way back to the beginning.
00:23:05For Miami?
00:23:06Yeah, man.
00:23:07That Miami is the place, man.
00:23:09I can't afford Miami no more.
00:23:11What did you say?
00:23:12I can't afford Miami.
00:23:14I'm a father of five.
00:23:15No way.
00:23:16Is it a difference obviously?
00:23:17Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
00:23:18Listen, what is this?
00:23:19Let's make it an anemone.
00:23:20If we, if we, no, I'm just like, if we do Miami, we've got to do it slightly.
00:23:25We've done Miami best, man.
00:23:27So like, well, we've got to do it different.
00:23:31Let's do it, man.
00:23:34We just, we did every year, but it's something that has just become probably what's kind of really kept that bond.
00:23:44We go away every year together, the brothers.
00:23:47It's something that we do.
00:23:48It's something where it kind of keeps the bond and also enables us to plan for the future.
00:23:53See, Miami was the first place we went to on a boys trip.
00:23:59So for me, it's, it's part of the journey.
00:24:02It's, it's part of the facet of every kind of section that we've kind of gone through in life.
00:24:08So then when we do go back there, like it's, it's good because we can reset.
00:24:12We can chop it up, chit chat and see how far we've come.
00:24:16It's so significant in, in the journey.
00:24:19I guess I'll put it in the way of, don't always be around people that are only with you.
00:24:28Be around people that are for you.
00:24:30I don't like to say this because they might get big heads and that, but they're the ones who continue to install the mantra and the belief that if you believe it, you can achieve it.
00:24:39And that the sky ain't the limit. It's just a resting station.
00:24:48And then we clash because, because, because I'm a bit, I'm a bit hard headed.
00:24:55We've got Yemi, Champs, older brother, probably the most like my mum, Dee Dele, youngest one.
00:25:04I'd say he's the chameleon in the sense where he sits as he's the younger brother, but he sits in the middle.
00:25:10So he kind of knows how to bounce between both his older brothers.
00:25:15So most situations, he's generally the most calm and collective.
00:25:20If there's problems and arguments, it's probably generally between me and my older brother.
00:25:24My brothers is my brothers. It's blood.
00:25:26So they will forever have my back and that's what it's been.
00:25:29We've got a lot of things on the agenda here, man.
00:25:32To be honest, next year.
00:25:34I actually thought I would be a bit more apprehensive of walking away from the game, but I'm actually not.
00:25:39I'm actually, I'm blessed with it.
00:25:42Like anything, yeah, you've got to try it and then what lands is what lands.
00:25:47And then that's what you ride with.
00:25:49That's my mindset is to try as many new things when I finish to wake up in the morning,
00:25:55especially what we've gone through in the last 18 months is an achievement.
00:25:59Do you know what I'm saying? And you've got to stick out blessings.
00:26:01And that's why I think, and I've come full circle in, you can't look for validations elsewhere.
00:26:08You have to be comfortable in your own skin.
00:26:10Look, you don't have to always be the best in the room, as long as you're the best of who you can be.
00:26:15I'm looking for that next journey, man.
00:26:17I'm saying that, I'm looking forward to the next journey, but I'm home, you know?
00:26:20Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:26:21I'm trying to finish this thing.
00:26:22Yeah, because you're dead.
00:26:24I'm out, man.
00:26:25Dead.
00:26:26He's a driver guy.
00:26:27I think he's a driver guy.
00:26:28That's the thing.
00:26:29I need to finish this up.
00:26:30I get it.
00:26:31Ooh-wee.
00:26:32Jeez!
00:26:33Yo!
00:26:34Okay.
00:26:35Orange is mine.
00:26:36Yo!
00:26:37I got my orange.
00:26:38Man, I will try and fight my older brother for the black one, but I know that ain't gonna happen.
00:26:44Get the key from him.
00:26:45I'm going for the black.
00:26:47Hey, these cars ain't practical.
00:26:52They make no...
00:26:53They're not practical.
00:26:54I bought and purchased one for myself, like...
00:26:56Listen, why don't you start calling up Lambo and telling me...
00:26:59It busts man's knees and that.
00:27:01It's just cramped and that.
00:27:02I ain't gonna lie.
00:27:03It feels like a real gaming chair.
00:27:04Sixties stones and upwards.
00:27:05Nah, nah.
00:27:06Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:27:07You know what?
00:27:08I think maybe it'll start like a beast-mode car brand.
00:27:11You know what I'm saying?
00:27:12For the big man.
00:27:13So, me, you, and then we'll...
00:27:14Hey, yo, we'll hit the rock.
00:27:15So, something like that.
00:27:17And send one to the rock, and it's just for the big man.
00:27:19You get me?
00:27:20I look to the left, I look to the right, and I know these men are with me.
00:27:32And they've been with me from day dot, and where we've come from.
00:27:36It's just...
00:27:37There is nothing better.
00:27:38I honestly feel like I can take on the world when I know they're beside me.
00:27:43Like anything, you know, boys, you're gonna get into trouble.
00:27:47And, you know, I'll always say...
00:27:50And it's...
00:27:51I won't be as cliché to say that football saved my life, but football was my love.
00:27:57I was stronger, faster, and better than everybody else.
00:28:00But I just put it down to...
00:28:01Because I loved the game, and I played it so much.
00:28:04It's a beautiful thing to experience that you're going through with your loved ones.
00:28:07Whereas now, I take my boys to...
00:28:09I watch them at training, and I go to their games.
00:28:11That's because I'm in a position to do that.
00:28:13Whereas my parents wasn't.
00:28:15I think my parents worked hard.
00:28:19They worked seven days a week.
00:28:22And some of the jobs that they would do, we would go with them to those jobs.
00:28:26So we saw a lot of...
00:28:28We saw how hard our parents worked to provide for us.
00:28:31My mum was always like, look, this is you lot.
00:28:34It's you against the world.
00:28:35Like, that's how we was raised.
00:28:37See, it doesn't matter what happens in my life.
00:28:39I know my mum, my dad, my brothers, and my sister have always got my back.
00:28:44I practically raised them from an early age.
00:28:47When my parents had gone to work, I had to get them ready for school.
00:28:52I remember I used to try to stop them going out to play football,
00:28:56because I would be like, you know, read your books or something like that.
00:29:01But he was very determined.
00:29:04But I am more my mum.
00:29:05My mum's very driven.
00:29:07My mum's very stubborn.
00:29:09Me and my mum, we clash.
00:29:11Like, I'm a mummy's boy.
00:29:12There's no two ways about it.
00:29:13Like, I have to go to my mum for big decisions.
00:29:17I still, to date, need my mum's blessing.
00:29:20I always try and make my mum smile.
00:29:22I had to convince my mum to say, listen, mum, I'm going to be a footballer.
00:29:25He's just like football.
00:29:26And he's made it known that, you know, that's what he wants to do.
00:29:31All the way through school, when he was in the elementary school, primary school,
00:29:38I was more involved in encouraging Baya.
00:29:43But I love football, you know, and I can remember, you know,
00:29:47my interest in football, you know, was when I was in the team, you know,
00:29:51back home, you know, playing, you know, street games.
00:29:54I support him, take him to games, see his games, you know,
00:29:59when he was playing, you know, when he was playing the club games, you know,
00:30:03before he becomes a professional.
00:30:05And so, in that respect, you know, I encourage Baya.
00:30:10But my wife is also stressing that, well, you want to play football,
00:30:14but you still have to be educated, you know,
00:30:16so as to have something to follow, you know, at the end.
00:30:19And he said, mommy, I will do it for you.
00:30:22So he went to college.
00:30:24From college, one year in college, they want to sign him,
00:30:28and I said, no, Baya have to go to school.
00:30:33Because I was the only girl, so I would, I would, like,
00:30:36be like, almost like a tomboy at that age.
00:30:39I would play football with them.
00:30:41I had faith in him. I had faith. I knew he could do it.
00:30:44The discipline, you know, we impart on the children
00:30:47is a combination of our tradition, the culture.
00:30:52For me, I don't use British way.
00:30:55When they are young, I use my own tradition.
00:31:01They have to respect others.
00:31:05And I want my children to have more than me.
00:31:11It didn't matter that we lived in London, in the house.
00:31:16It was Nigeria, bro.
00:31:18I think it's due a trip back.
00:31:20So we're going to do it, yeah?
00:31:21Yeah.
00:31:22Let's roll. Let's roll back.
00:31:23The one thing which will be good is to go back to granddad's.
00:31:27100%. We haven't been there.
00:31:29All them thing is, I don't know how long we're down there,
00:31:32tell mums, chat to you, that I've got a schedule.
00:31:36And if she doesn't maintain it, tell my schedule.
00:31:39Tell her that I've got five days.
00:31:41Bro, you go tell her.
00:31:43Let's roll then if you want.
00:31:44Cool, cool, cool, cool.
00:31:52I was saying, and I was joking, and I was like,
00:31:55yo, the resourcefulness of Nigerians that I've seen,
00:32:00I mean, where we stayed to where we went into.
00:32:03So we stayed on the island and we went into the mainland
00:32:06and everybody seemed like it was a hustle and bustle.
00:32:09Like it was always on to the next.
00:32:11So for me, it's going back to home.
00:32:14It's just, for me, strengthening that,
00:32:17yo, I'm taking back the hustle.
00:32:25We're back at the yard.
00:32:28It's been how long?
00:32:29About 15 years, man.
00:32:3115 years.
00:32:32And our thanks to the almighty father for allowing me,
00:32:37enabling me to bring my children home,
00:32:40to see the burial ground of their great-grandfather,
00:32:45my father and their great-grandfather.
00:32:48You went across seas.
00:32:49Yeah.
00:32:50You know what I'm saying?
00:32:51Met Mumsy over here, created a beautiful family,
00:32:53had life for us in London.
00:32:55I, at 18, left London to go to Lithuania to follow my dreams.
00:33:01Dad, when I say that, for me, you're the testament,
00:33:05the definition of what a man should be.
00:33:08that's what you are.
00:33:09And to be able to say something to you and say,
00:33:13look, Dad, Granddad, I'm going to do something.
00:33:17And for all the trials and tribulations,
00:33:20you're able to now bring your kids back to see the fruition.
00:33:24and the fruition.
00:33:26God, I'm going to walk.
00:33:27It's like a couple of years.
00:33:29It's awesome.
00:33:31It's awesome.
00:33:35Nice, beautiful.
00:33:36I used to join my camera.
00:33:39Just give me!
00:33:40One of the future stars for future generations.
00:33:43Amen!
00:33:44Keep showing love.
00:33:45We will do it.
00:33:46Blessings on blessings.
00:33:47Amen!
00:33:48It's amazing!
00:33:49Amen!
00:33:50Oui !
00:33:52Oui !
00:33:54Arigou, arrigou, qu'est-ce que tu ?
00:33:58Oui !
00:34:00Big smile !
00:34:02Cheers !
00:34:20So, it looks like we're going to the Super Bowl.
00:34:24So, erm...
00:34:26I ain't gonna lie, Super Bowl in L.A.
00:34:30Cos !
00:34:32Yeah, yeah !
00:34:34You don't look crazy to me !
00:34:36Hey, hold on, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa !
00:34:38No, we've got a problem, though.
00:34:40Yo, what's up ?
00:34:41At the moment, we've only got one ticket
00:34:43to the actual Super Bowl event.
00:34:45Yeah, Cos !
00:34:46What ?
00:34:48He said he's going to work on getting another ticket,
00:34:50but at the moment...
00:34:52He said it's peak, bruv !
00:34:54He said, because they're all due to all Covid
00:34:56and all that stuff, so...
00:34:58He's like, look, they're very strict on
00:35:00how many tickets they're giving out.
00:35:02Ah, man !
00:35:04But, you know what, we've got a few things
00:35:06to sort out, though, anyway.
00:35:08I'm not going to go Super Bowl by myself.
00:35:10Nah, nah, B, man, it's good, man, it's cool.
00:35:12Who am I going to sit next to D ?
00:35:14What am I, man ?
00:35:15To be honest, I think there's a few heads
00:35:17out there as well that you're going to know.
00:35:19So, if it only works like that,
00:35:21we have the one ticket,
00:35:23then you're not going to be alone.
00:35:24There's going to be a couple of them
00:35:25that you know anyway.
00:35:26But, however, even besides that...
00:35:27Hold on, man !
00:35:28Nah, but besides that, I think...
00:35:29Hold on, hold on, hold on.
00:35:30I think...
00:35:31You okay ?
00:35:32But, you know what ?
00:35:33I think if it's in LA, we can sort out an interview with Marshall Lynch.
00:35:40You know, the beast mode of America meets the beast mode of UK.
00:35:45I think Marshall Lynch would be a good one
00:35:47because I think it's beast on beast.
00:35:50But, listen, I...
00:35:52I ain't trying to go there by myself.
00:35:54No, we'll get ourselves in there.
00:35:55Don't watch that play.
00:35:56You know how the hockey filmmakers do.
00:35:57All right, then, cool,
00:35:59because...
00:36:00I'm out.
00:36:01Later.
00:36:02I was...
00:36:03I run my brother's commercial interests.
00:36:06We've been working together for the past eight years.
00:36:08So...
00:36:09Like, for those...
00:36:10I know, like, I keep them on track and that.
00:36:12So...
00:36:13You know, if you want to get to my brother, you've got to come to me in it.
00:36:16So...
00:36:17And that's...
00:36:18That's how it goes.
00:36:19That's how the trio works.
00:36:20So, what my role is...
00:36:22To support more on the bigger projects that we work on.
00:36:25So, when we're to Featherpin Productions and Games,
00:36:28I tend to get more involved in that.
00:36:31Yeah, me, the older brother.
00:36:32Diplomatic.
00:36:34Smooth talker.
00:36:35Um...
00:36:36Dee.
00:36:37Sweet boy.
00:36:38Knows how to...
00:36:40Keep us all together.
00:36:41I guess the best way I can describe it, I think...
00:36:44Yemi...
00:36:45Yemi gets the tools.
00:36:47Dee builds the path.
00:36:49And I walk it.
00:36:50So, I guess that's the best way to describe the trio.
00:36:56For me, LA, Super Bowl.
00:36:58I think the Super Bowl in LA is...
00:37:00There's a match made in heaven.
00:37:01Um...
00:37:02And...
00:37:03I'm a fan of LA as well.
00:37:04So...
00:37:05LA is high.
00:37:06High.
00:37:07Up there on the list.
00:37:08And...
00:37:09It's always a vibe.
00:37:10I love the culture in America.
00:37:11Um...
00:37:12I love the opportunities in America.
00:37:13Um...
00:37:14And every time I go to America every year.
00:37:17Um...
00:37:18And I think our energy's...
00:37:19Our energy's matched.
00:37:20Marshawn Lynch.
00:37:21As he's beast mode in the States.
00:37:22And I'm beast mode in the UK.
00:37:24I think it's only right.
00:37:25You know what I'm saying?
00:37:26That we touch base and...
00:37:28And have a conversation.
00:37:29But I've seen his energy.
00:37:30And I'm sure our energy's gonna click.
00:37:32What's up, baby?
00:37:33What's going on, Brodsky?
00:37:34I can't call it.
00:37:35What is beast mode to you?
00:37:36So, man.
00:37:37Real talk.
00:37:38Well, beast mode to me is my mentality.
00:37:41Beast mode to me is what I stand on.
00:37:44My morals.
00:37:45My values.
00:37:46My principles.
00:37:47Beast mode for me is shit that can't be bought.
00:37:51Beast mode to me is shit that you can't make up.
00:37:55That shit is what...
00:37:57What I live, breathe.
00:37:59And...
00:38:00And...
00:38:01And I live.
00:38:02Like...
00:38:03I don't even think it.
00:38:04I just...
00:38:05It's you.
00:38:06It's in me, not on me.
00:38:07So, you know, I don't go and turn beast mode on.
00:38:10Like...
00:38:11You feel it.
00:38:13Like...
00:38:14When you engage with me, and we engage, you feel it like...
00:38:19Damn, that's...
00:38:20Oh, that's what he mean by that shit.
00:38:22Yeah, yeah.
00:38:23It was a lot going on.
00:38:24And, uh...
00:38:25You know, I get to the point where, like...
00:38:27You know, I just...
00:38:28Okay, we got work.
00:38:30I'm going to work.
00:38:31Okay, after work, I'm going home.
00:38:34And I'm being at home.
00:38:36What it started to get into was...
00:38:39Work started to come home.
00:38:41And it started to affect the way that I was feeling.
00:38:44Just on a...
00:38:45On a personal level.
00:38:46You know, it started to be like a...
00:38:49A media frenzy just around our facilities.
00:38:52Where everything was like...
00:38:54Oh, you know what?
00:38:55I'm...
00:38:56Six o'clock in the morning.
00:38:57I'm coming in there for breakfast.
00:38:58And you got a whole goddamn camera crew just following you around.
00:39:02Like...
00:39:03Oh, we gotta document this moment.
00:39:04Like...
00:39:05Nah, bro.
00:39:06Just getting me something to eat.
00:39:07And the camera's coming in.
00:39:08And I'm like, man.
00:39:09Hey, look.
00:39:10You know what?
00:39:11This is beginning to be like...
00:39:12Hey, look.
00:39:13Y'all know I just...
00:39:14I just want to play football.
00:39:15And y'all making this more about...
00:39:17Other shit than what it is.
00:39:19And...
00:39:20I'm not focused on that.
00:39:21So...
00:39:22If we can't just keep it football, then...
00:39:24You know...
00:39:25I'm done with it.
00:39:27You know, my mind is right.
00:39:29You feel me?
00:39:30My spirits is right.
00:39:31So it was like...
00:39:32Well, the only thing that I could do from here is...
00:39:34You know, go down.
00:39:35Whether it's...
00:39:36You know, I injure myself or...
00:39:38You know...
00:39:39I'm gonna fuck my head up or something.
00:39:41Like...
00:39:42There's nothing that...
00:39:44You know...
00:39:45I'm chasing or I need to prove about...
00:39:47Anything.
00:39:48Fuck.
00:39:49The energy's authentic.
00:39:50I swear to you.
00:39:51Yeah, man.
00:39:52Hey, hey.
00:39:53You know what?
00:39:54I ain't gonna lie.
00:39:55Like, man.
00:39:56I'm running around like, man.
00:39:57Who is this motherfucker running around with my name and shit?
00:39:59To authentic individuals who...
00:40:01Care about their sport.
00:40:02Care about the messages they put out.
00:40:04And we click.
00:40:05So...
00:40:06Energy's authentic.
00:40:07And he can carry my name.
00:40:09He can carry my name with pride.
00:40:10I'll give him that.
00:40:11You get me?
00:40:15I love the NFL.
00:40:16And I'm a massive fan because...
00:40:18I've always said I like being the biggest on the pitch because...
00:40:22Like...
00:40:23I like being the strongest.
00:40:24And when I watch them boys, they're big and they're fast.
00:40:27And they're charismatic.
00:40:28And every time they make a tackle, they celebrate.
00:40:31And I think sport's entertaining.
00:40:33And I think the NFL is that.
00:40:36It's entertaining.
00:40:37So every time I go and watch, it's a spectacle.
00:40:40And I'm all about entertaining.
00:40:42So I'm a massive fan because of that.
00:40:44And I would say, if you get the opportunity to watch a game,
00:40:47go and take it in.
00:40:48Because I think the NFL does exactly what's on the team.
00:40:51It entertains.
00:40:52It's showmanship.
00:40:54You know what I'm saying?
00:40:55It's brutal at times.
00:40:57And then they've got some celebrations.
00:40:59I wouldn't say as good as ours.
00:41:01You know?
00:41:02But they do sometimes, you know, shout it down.
00:41:04So listen, if you've got the opportunity, 100% take it in.
00:41:07Yo, what's going on, Boohoo family?
00:41:09Yo, yo, yo.
00:41:10It's the Akinfenwa family.
00:41:11Adibua Akinfenwa.
00:41:12D Akinfenwa.
00:41:13Y Akinfenwa.
00:41:14We are here.
00:41:15Super Bowl Sunday.
00:41:16Game day.
00:41:17We're on our way down to the stadium.
00:41:19Follow us here.
00:41:20Alright, yo.
00:41:21You might have a guy in that here, man.
00:41:26Oh, you look.
00:41:27Nice shit.
00:41:32Yo, enjoy the game, man.
00:41:33Enjoy it.
00:41:34Enjoy it, man.
00:41:35Ha-ha!
00:41:40Cheers!
00:41:41Yo, cheers!
00:41:42The lone ranger comes back, you know.
00:41:45No, it was a vibe to me.
00:41:46And the game was dope as well.
00:41:47But to me, for the half-time show,
00:41:49Oye, oye, Dre, tu as dit, he's the GOAT, Dre's the GOAT, you know, I know it was dope.
00:41:57All right, buddy, let's go home, though, because it's going to get better traffic.
00:41:59So, I just met Drew McIntyre, big boy, kind of like six foot four and that.
00:42:23I ain't gonna lie, the first thing he said, he said, you know what, man's got the frame for it,
00:42:27but no, he was a cool guy, asked him about, you know what I'm saying, how our sports mirror up,
00:42:32and he just said, you know what, it's tough, but it's worth it.
00:42:36Listen, I'm a strong believer that I think anything worth having, you know what I'm saying,
00:42:40is worth putting in the hours.
00:42:44Hey, okay, I see that.
00:42:47Is this happening right now?
00:42:48Wait, am I looking, I mean, I'm not, I wasn't, I didn't come here looking for a new tag team.
00:42:54I'm just saying, wait.
00:42:55But if it happens.
00:42:56I'm just saying, because look, technically, I think I'm kind of being unemployed in about two and a half weeks.
00:43:03So, and in just that vibe, I think energy's there, you know what I'm saying, not to be seen,
00:43:10not to be heard, but to be felt.
00:43:11And I think that's what sport's about, there's certain things where you just feel.
00:43:16Could I add another member to Mustache Mountain?
00:43:18Oh, yeah, let's do it.
00:43:20Oh, nice.
00:43:22Oh, nice.
00:43:23Okay.
00:43:23Nice.
00:43:24We got this.
00:43:25Woo!
00:43:26Ha-ha!
00:43:27This is where a lot of our agents and backroom staff, so the PAs for the players, personal assistants,
00:43:40that will organise everything from their boots, their holidays, their concert tickets, or whatever they want to do,
00:43:49we'll take care of that.
00:43:50Every player here gets a PA, we've got 950 players.
00:43:55There's a company worldwide, the company had represented players like David Beckham, Michael Owen, Stephen Gerrard.
00:44:00Stephen Gerrard's still a client here today.
00:44:02Well, I'm up 6.30 tomorrow as well.
00:44:08Such a long day.
00:44:09He re-signed for a football club, Northampton Town, years ago.
00:44:13He'd been there, been a star, he'd come away, and we were talking to him about coming back.
00:44:19And I said to him, look, when we go back here and we meet the chairman and everybody, just act cool.
00:44:25Just act as if you're not, you're not sure whether this is for you or not, let them sell it to you.
00:44:29The chairman made an offer, slightly low-balling him.
00:44:34His words, because you can allow Baio to do some talking for you, I'm negotiating, but it's good to have him around.
00:44:41He turns around and says, I cannot take that chicken feed home to the wife.
00:44:47Chairman leaves the room, comes back with a different offer.
00:44:50Baio's like, D, what do you think?
00:44:51I'm like, that looks good.
00:44:53He's like, cool.
00:44:54Chairman, who he calls C, not chairman, C, come here.
00:44:57Cuddle, we're blessed, we're gone.
00:45:00High-fives to everybody on the way out.
00:45:02Dean is my agent, more than my agent.
00:45:06Dean is, he's a friend, but no one has on the tin, he's my football agent.
00:45:12Yes, from my brother.
00:45:14Yay!
00:45:16My brother, you good?
00:45:18Yeah, I'm good.
00:45:20I'm like, Dean.
00:45:21Been together a long time, bit of an odd couple.
00:45:27He's my friend.
00:45:29He's my friend, and I'm proud of him.
00:45:31You know, as I would be any friend achieving things that others can't achieve.
00:45:35He is my friend, first and foremost.
00:45:37And he's had my back in negotiations before, which is rare.
00:45:41So, maybe when someone, football clubs are trying to cut me out of the deal,
00:45:46he said, no, no, no, Dean's my guy.
00:45:49Brings me back in.
00:45:51You good?
00:45:52What's up, buddy?
00:45:52You good?
00:45:52You are.
00:45:53Yeah, man.
00:45:55You are busy.
00:45:56You put this together, man.
00:45:57Me?
00:45:58Nah, not me.
00:45:58You brains, man.
00:45:59We did our team photos today, and it was like, that's my last team photo that I'm going to do.
00:46:04What is my proudest moment when it came to football?
00:46:08And my proudest moment is me achieving it, because I said I would.
00:46:14That's it.
00:46:15Because I said, yeah, you know what, I'm going to play ball.
00:46:17Proudest moment.
00:46:18And then everything up there is subheadings.
00:46:19Yeah, yeah, getting a championship and then scoring these goals and that.
00:46:24Subheadings.
00:46:24But the proudest moment was when it was like, yeah, man.
00:46:27I said, man, I was going to be a footballer, and everybody said no.
00:46:29And then the next one is like, yo, man.
00:46:31The reason everyone loves you, the reason when you get promoted to Wickham and Jurgen Klopp
00:46:36is proactively trying to get hold of you, via the biggest players in his team, is because
00:46:42you resonate with them, because you're approachable, and you've got an aura.
00:46:46Football's very institutionalised.
00:46:48Very.
00:46:49Like, everything's done for us, and when we come out of that box, that bubble, we've got
00:46:55to start again.
00:46:56So, this is the agenda, right?
00:46:58Yeah.
00:47:00Whatever meeting.
00:47:00About what you need to do.
00:47:02Your ideas, Delhi's ideas.
00:47:05Just about what you're going to bring to the party.
00:47:09Then, I think, a couple of fighters in, let's talk to them.
00:47:13Yep.
00:47:13About what emceeing means.
00:47:16Yep.
00:47:17Ask them whatever you need to ask them.
00:47:21And then, I think you should have a little go at it.
00:47:25Have a go at what?
00:47:26Yeah.
00:47:27Yeah.
00:47:28Yeah.
00:47:28I forgot it.
00:47:30All right.
00:47:34Yo.
00:47:35Yo.
00:47:36All right.
00:47:36Here we go.
00:47:36Listen, this is how I introduce if you was walking into the arena, all right?
00:47:42Right.
00:47:42All right, so I'm introducing Saint George Groves, former WBA super middleweight champion of the world, 32 fights, bam, 28 wins, bam, 20 KOs, meaning he put them to sleep.
00:48:03Welcome, Saint, Gigi, Gigi.
00:48:11That was pretty good.
00:48:13You want to bring something special, but you don't want to take over.
00:48:16Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:48:17You want to be entertaining, because with fighters, what they want is they want that strap line at the end, because then they know that's when they go.
00:48:23Right, it's fight time now.
00:48:24Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:48:25Because that's what people don't realise, it's like, I warm up in the changing room, it might be 50 minutes before you do your ring walk, get in the ring, do this thing, touch gloves, referee checks you, national anthem, national anthem, introduction, introduction, fight, you know?
00:48:39So you've got to try and simmer over.
00:48:42Yeah, yeah.
00:48:42At some point, you're going to go, right, show time.
00:48:44All right, cool.
00:48:45Man, brother.
00:48:46Good luck.
00:48:46Thank you, man.
00:48:46I wouldn't want to do it.
00:48:47Shit.
00:48:48I wish you were.
00:48:48All right, brother, bitch.
00:48:49I love it.
00:48:50I know I wouldn't want to do it, you know?
00:48:53I'd love to be able to do it.
00:48:54But I can't.
00:48:56Oh, yes.
00:48:58All right.
00:49:00Here we go, here we go, here we go.
00:49:02We got Chris Eubank Jr.
00:49:05Fighting out of Brighton, East Sussex.
00:49:09Hold on.
00:49:1032 fights.
00:49:1330 wins.
00:49:1522 KOs, meaning he put people to sleep.
00:49:18Oh.
00:49:19Oh, man's got the sound.
00:49:22I like that.
00:49:27Judging off of that, you know, yeah, you've got your own style.
00:49:30Yeah, yeah.
00:49:31I like that.
00:49:31Yeah, yeah.
00:49:32That's a new thing.
00:49:33So I'm chatting to Groves, innit?
00:49:35And to be fair, honestly, I didn't realise the magnitude that went into talking.
00:49:41When you hear that introduction as a fighter, it actually lifts you.
00:49:45Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:49:46So someone who has nothing to do with the fight itself, who's not part of your team, is actually
00:49:51having an emotional or spiritual effect on the fighters because, you know, they've grown
00:49:57up watching these guys introduce all these other fighters, their heroes and stuff like that.
00:50:02Wow, he's doing it for me.
00:50:03Yeah, yeah.
00:50:03And I really want to be able to have boxers not feel like I'm disrespecting their sport.
00:50:09It can't be funny.
00:50:11I don't think it can.
00:50:12I mean, you may be able to find some niche.
00:50:14I don't know if you could do it, but it's a fight.
00:50:17It will get to the point where if you do it well enough and often enough, you will get
00:50:23an entire crowd say it with you.
00:50:25Yeah.
00:50:26That's when you know you've done it.
00:50:27That's when you've done it.
00:50:28You know, that's going to be tough.
00:50:29One other pressure on you, and that is the fact that there isn't really any black MCs
00:50:37out there.
00:50:38They said there wasn't even no man from the UK that really do it.
00:50:40Yeah.
00:50:41And I haven't seen any black guys introducing fighters in big shows.
00:50:47I've never seen that.
00:50:48So that's another thing, you know, you've got to represent.
00:50:51Man, it's that pressure, I'm doing it for the brothers, man.
00:50:53You've got to represent, man.
00:50:55Come on now, I'm doing it for the brothers, man.
00:50:57Welcome to awesome unboxing, my friends.
00:51:00Oh, did you know?
00:51:01Welcome to unboxing.
00:51:02We got this, let's be unboxing.
00:51:04Oh, we got this.
00:51:06All right, look, so I see you up there, and I'm going to try and dabble into it.
00:51:24You know?
00:51:25Call me.
00:51:26Give me some tips.
00:51:27When you're in there, right?
00:51:28And that energy gets you.
00:51:29You're going to be the way you are, anyway.
00:51:30Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:51:31It's about connecting.
00:51:32Listen, thanks about that, because that's what I think in life.
00:51:34I'm all about, I want to do this.
00:51:35I want to say get into this, because I feel like it's a way of connecting.
00:51:38Yeah.
00:51:39And I think when you get up there, you connect with people.
00:51:40Yeah.
00:51:41See, listen, it's been nothing but love.
00:51:42Keep being you, brother.
00:51:43Come on, brother.
00:51:44Bless you.
00:51:45Bless you.
00:51:46Bless you.
00:51:47Thank you, my brother.
00:51:48Bless you.
00:51:49I always said to Dee, and I was like, yo, Dee, I don't bring you the most money football-wise.
00:51:53Like, you've got some big names, but you go above and beyond for me.
00:51:59And I remember he did, he'll always say stuff.
00:52:02You know what, Bea, I remember?
00:52:04I remember, like him, we'll put you in a room, Bea, and you're always going to be yourself.
00:52:11And I think that's why we've gone so well, and that's why we'll, that's why we'll still
00:52:15be in each other's lives now I've retired.
00:52:27So we're going to look at the brothers, and we're going to see JJ, also known as KSI.
00:52:32And it's funny, I remember, so when's that video come out?
00:52:36And he was doing a segment, and it was Beast players.
00:52:40And he was like, Beast.
00:52:42Infoback Infernoir is too good.
00:52:45He makes an OK team a beast.
00:52:48So I remember I linked up with Dee, and I remember him like, bro, you see how many people
00:52:53watched that video?
00:52:54You see how many people were saying Beast?
00:52:55It's like, bro, we've got to do something and give it back to them.
00:52:59So I remember driving back, and I remember somebody cutting me up.
00:53:04So I remember just being like, all right, cool.
00:53:07I was like, rah, I'm going to go beast mode on this drive or something like that.
00:53:11And it was a tweet like that, hashtag beast mode on.
00:53:14That was the start.
00:53:16Literally, everything I did was beast mode.
00:53:19And that's how beast mode on was born.
00:53:21BMO was born from then.
00:53:22The beast mode!
00:53:31Oh my gosh.
00:53:32I'm such a cringe lord.
00:53:33Bro, 3.9 million, and then the other one has got 11 million?
00:53:37Oh my gosh.
00:53:42God damn!
00:53:45Well done guys!
00:53:47Hi.
00:53:48How are you doing man?
00:53:49How are you doing man?
00:54:22Oui.
00:54:22Donc, je m'en a pas à la picturesque, je me l'ai, lui, Trey Dini, je pense que Moe
00:54:27était là, tout nous.
00:54:28Et je me souviens, j'ai vu à l'étranger, je te sens que tu as traînes,
00:54:32comme tu as joues avec des boxers, comme tu as joues à l'étranger, tu as joues à l'étranger,
00:54:36tu as joues à l'étranger, je m'en suis dit, oui, oui.
00:54:38Donc, il s'en a l'étranger, il s'en a l'étranger, il s'en a l'étranger, il s'en a l'étranger,
00:54:42mais c'est juste pour moi, mais c'est juste pour moi.
00:54:44En ma tête, je me suis dit,
00:54:46mais si je suis pas fanny, je sais que je peux me catch,
00:54:48je ne sais pas comment,
00:54:50moi je ne sais pas ce que je suis dit.
00:54:52Je ne sais pas, je ne sais pas.
00:54:54C'est pas ça, je ne sais pas.
00:54:56Oh, c'est trop, c'est trop, c'est trop.
00:54:58C'est comme si vous êtes drône,
00:55:00et vous avez à apprendre à survivre,
00:55:02c'est comme ça.
00:55:04C'est pas une simple task,
00:55:06et c'est juste des semaines.
00:55:08C'est juste pour être punché,
00:55:10de la fin de la fin de la fin de la fin de la fin de la fin,
00:55:14de la fin de la fin de la fin de la fin de la fin.
00:55:16De la fin de la fin de la fin de la fin de la fin,
00:55:18de la fin de la fin de la fin de la fin.
00:55:20Donc je ne sais pas si vous connaissez,
00:55:22je me suis dit,
00:56:16je me suis passé.
00:56:18Je me suis passé.
00:56:19Et puis, en ma tête, vous pensez,
00:56:21« Ok, non, je me suis fait un pied.
00:56:24» Et moi, je suis passé un pied.
00:56:26Il me fait un pied.
00:56:27Il me fait un pied.
00:56:29Il m'a dit que il me a plait.
00:56:31Il me a plait et il me a plait.
00:56:33Il me a plait en 영et de pied.
00:56:35Non, je ne suis pas à dire qu'il était en train de me faire une tête.
00:56:39Il était que c'est le même.
00:56:41Il faut que tu me disait.
00:56:42Comme on.
00:56:43C'est l'entendant, l'entendant que tu as puisses,
00:57:01No-one knows the journey or how you're going to get there,
00:57:05but eventually, if you just keep manifesting it,
00:57:07you will get there.
00:57:09It's just as simple as that.
00:57:10And for me, I think I've always just done that
00:57:14with everything I've done.
00:57:15And I've never let anyone try to, you know,
00:57:21take me off that journey.
00:57:23Take me off that, you know, change my mindset.
00:57:25And, you know, I feel like boxing has definitely improved
00:57:28my mindset.
00:57:29It's definitely matured me.
00:57:31It just made me stronger.
00:57:33And I think before I used to be a guy where I felt like
00:57:37I had to shout more, just to, like, pretend that.
00:57:42Whereas now, bro, I'm just so, like, laxed.
00:57:45I just know, like...
00:57:46I never had that problem, because I was a big youth
00:57:52from younger, so I didn't have two problems.
00:57:55Actually, on the digital side, the social media side,
00:57:57and I realised, you know, the reach.
00:58:01Then the goal I scored against Liverpool.
00:58:03I think for me, that was the first time
00:58:07when the social media or the digital age hit me.
00:58:12After the game, it was trending.
00:58:14I think there were 72,000 tweets, I was trending.
00:58:18The next day, I got called to do the news.
00:58:20And for me, I'm a London boy, and I was like,
00:58:23what do you want me to do?
00:58:23Like, what do you want me to talk?
00:58:24Like, we lost.
00:58:25And I think that was the first time when
00:58:27it just seemed like people had connected.
00:58:30So, my name's Alexander Constantine.
00:58:47I'm the managing director of Xander Limited.
00:58:49We're a digital media agency based in London.
00:58:51We've been working with B and his brothers now
00:58:53for several years on various digital projects.
00:58:55B has a very powerful persona for what we do.
00:58:59It helps. He's very intelligent.
00:59:01He's very charismatic.
00:59:02He's very likeable.
00:59:04He has a unique following.
00:59:05He has an appeal.
00:59:07And as we do more and more work
00:59:09to further develop his profile and his following,
00:59:11which we're going to be doing both online
00:59:13and through other projects in the real world on television,
00:59:17we think it's going to open lots of doors for him
00:59:19with brand endorsements, with exciting projects,
00:59:24with entertainment projects, e-commerce projects,
00:59:28whether it be his own brands or other brands.
00:59:30There's the e-commerce website,
00:59:33which is selling his branded clothing,
00:59:35really cool stuff.
00:59:37There's a game, Beast Mode Run On,
00:59:39which is really fun to play.
00:59:40There's the social media side,
00:59:42continues to go from strength to strength.
00:59:44The more that we build that,
00:59:45the more opportunities we believe
00:59:47we can open up for him with commercial partnerships.
00:59:50We've done thousands of projects
00:59:52for some of the biggest companies in the world.
00:59:54B is a unique character,
00:59:56a unique person to work with.
00:59:58We always enjoy working with him.
01:00:00He's a close friend now.
01:00:03And we think we can do things with him
01:00:05that we haven't been able to do with other people.
01:00:06I'm driving up EA Sports HQ headquarters.
01:00:14They're going to award me an Ender Era card.
01:00:18Just, I guess, to celebrate my career.
01:00:23I think what people don't think,
01:00:24what I've realised with EA is that
01:00:26I think the last 10 years,
01:00:28like, we've literally been riding together.
01:00:31like, for every accomplishment I've made,
01:00:35they've acknowledged.
01:00:36And it's a real thing.
01:00:38I mean, of course,
01:00:39people will chat about their stats.
01:00:41But I've always said,
01:00:42the stat that means anything to me,
01:00:45that stands out to me,
01:00:46is my strength rating.
01:00:47Like, I work on it.
01:00:49You know, every pre-season,
01:00:50I'm like, that's my shit in it.
01:00:52Like, working out, slanging weights.
01:00:57And to get acknowledgement for that,
01:00:58to be the only one every year.
01:01:00and I said it.
01:01:01I said it about five years ago.
01:01:03I was like, I'm going to retire the strongest.
01:01:08Here he is.
01:01:10Hey, back in February.
01:01:12That's our living proof.
01:01:13How are you, man?
01:01:14You good?
01:01:15Charlie!
01:01:19Deli, how are you, man?
01:01:20Good to see you.
01:01:21You good?
01:01:22Yeah, yeah, good, man.
01:01:24Good.
01:01:24Jeez.
01:01:25You okay?
01:01:26My people, them, you know,
01:01:28these are like my people behind my people,
01:01:29behind my people.
01:01:31We've got some stuff here.
01:01:33Come on.
01:01:33He's brilliant at producing content,
01:01:35and I think all of that is really inspiring for young people.
01:01:38And that's brilliant when he's able to connect with so many of them through our platform.
01:01:43Digital Bayo is the strongest player,
01:01:44and physical Bayo is the strongest player.
01:01:46And that blurring of the lines between the two,
01:01:49I think it's been pretty amazing.
01:01:50We actually head scanned him.
01:01:51Typically, we wouldn't do that for EFL players,
01:01:54but Bayo's been an ambassador for us for so long,
01:01:57and the community really love him.
01:01:59So we wanted to do something really special,
01:02:00and by head scanning him,
01:02:02it meant that the most authentic representation of him is in the game.
01:02:05EA vibe with me.
01:02:07I ain't gonna lie.
01:02:07I think that's where our relationship just went from strength to strength.
01:02:11Do you remember this one?
01:02:13This, I think this is the,
01:02:14if I can remember,
01:02:15this is the first one that I can remember.
01:02:18This one or this one
01:02:19are the first two that I can remember.
01:02:22This was like,
01:02:23when I started to catch myself and realised about the game.
01:02:27But I didn't know what,
01:02:28I didn't know what it was about.
01:02:29And I just remember they were saying,
01:02:30hey, yeah, you got a card.
01:02:32And then, boom.
01:02:33I can't remember this.
01:02:35So this is FIFA 10?
01:02:36FIFA 10.
01:02:38You know, famton days and that.
01:02:40I'm still, so,
01:02:41oh,
01:02:43you're young, I can't find one.
01:02:45You ain't even aged, bruv.
01:02:47Look, all the places.
01:02:48Cocoa butter and water, baby.
01:02:49Cocoa butter and water.
01:02:50So this is FIFA 10?
01:02:51That's FIFA 10.
01:02:52Then we got FIFA 15.
01:02:54FIFA 15.
01:02:55We should talk about this one as well.
01:02:57So this was the year
01:02:59that you got the
01:03:01Strongest Player Award
01:03:02from Anthony Joshua.
01:03:03Yeah.
01:03:05I remember that.
01:03:06All right, let me get to you here.
01:03:07You know what I'm saying?
01:03:08Because I'd find my own,
01:03:09like,
01:03:10now this is a disrespect,
01:03:11like,
01:03:12the 44 pace.
01:03:13Like,
01:03:14I've stayed the same.
01:03:16Like, you know what?
01:03:16If you gave me 44 now,
01:03:18I would,
01:03:19my mum,
01:03:19you're about to give me 42.
01:03:20It gets worse, though.
01:03:21It gets worse.
01:03:22You're blood fire.
01:03:23Oh, oh.
01:03:25So this was 21,
01:03:26but
01:03:26we should talk about this as well.
01:03:28Yes.
01:03:29I ain't gonna lie.
01:03:29This was
01:03:30a million followers
01:03:31on Instagram.
01:03:32Yeah.
01:03:33I ain't gonna lie.
01:03:34This is the one.
01:03:35Look.
01:03:35That should be...
01:03:36Look,
01:03:37you know how we should really do it?
01:03:41We should just tell,
01:03:42I'm gonna tell my kids
01:03:43this was me,
01:03:43my whole career.
01:03:44Bam!
01:03:45We've got something for you,
01:03:46Baio.
01:03:47This is to celebrate
01:03:48the end of your career.
01:03:50What do you think of this?
01:03:51End of an era item.
01:03:52Make it!
01:03:53Yo.
01:03:55Yo.
01:03:55Listen,
01:03:58the worst thing is,
01:03:59look,
01:04:00I swear to you,
01:04:01y'all not could have given me 10,
01:04:03but to acknowledge,
01:04:04I've always said,
01:04:05my greatest achievement
01:04:06to date
01:04:07was making this a professional.
01:04:08So,
01:04:09to acknowledge somebody's dream
01:04:10as a kid,
01:04:10to be able to be a footballer,
01:04:12and then like anything,
01:04:13as kids,
01:04:13we play games,
01:04:14and then to know that
01:04:15my name's in the game,
01:04:16to know that
01:04:17they did the head scan
01:04:18in the game,
01:04:18and then to know that
01:04:19I've got individual items
01:04:21personally
01:04:22for what I achieved
01:04:23in the game,
01:04:24and then
01:04:24for this to summarise
01:04:26my whole career
01:04:27at the end of it.
01:04:28Like,
01:04:28like,
01:04:28don't get twisted
01:04:29because I'm beast mode,
01:04:30I won't get emotional,
01:04:30emotional for you.
01:04:31You know what I'm saying?
01:04:32But no,
01:04:33listen,
01:04:33from the bottom of my heart,
01:04:34like,
01:04:35you lot,
01:04:35real talk,
01:04:36it means a lot,
01:04:37and that's real bars.
01:04:38Thank you,
01:04:39my brother.
01:04:39No,
01:04:39thanks for everything you've done.
01:04:40Yeah,
01:04:40yeah,
01:04:41yeah,
01:04:41this is getting framed.
01:04:42It should have always been like this.
01:04:44I just want to show you this bit,
01:04:45though,
01:04:45look,
01:04:45the pace.
01:04:46Look,
01:04:46that,
01:04:47for me,
01:04:47you won.
01:04:49Anybody that watched me
01:04:50last,
01:04:51on Saturday,
01:04:51when I chased back in the corner,
01:04:53I was quicker than everybody.
01:04:55They really,
01:04:56they really clocked that,
01:04:58that was my pace.
01:04:59But for me,
01:05:00BAH!
01:05:01Oi!
01:05:02No,
01:05:02this is dope.
01:05:03Yo,
01:05:04I,
01:05:05I,
01:05:05you know what I'm saying?
01:05:07At the end of it here,
01:05:07I know she's dope,
01:05:08man.
01:05:10The way he is,
01:05:12is something special.
01:05:13And that's why,
01:05:14why is your brother,
01:05:15like,
01:05:16shut up.
01:05:17Like,
01:05:17do you know what he's done?
01:05:19Like,
01:05:19do you know,
01:05:21the level of work,
01:05:23that he puts in,
01:05:24day and night?
01:05:26You haven't seen it.
01:05:27So there's no way,
01:05:28you're going to tell me anything,
01:05:30that he don't deserve,
01:05:31all the stuff that he's getting.
01:05:33Those that know me,
01:05:35know my daily routine,
01:05:36creature of habit.
01:05:38It doesn't matter actually,
01:05:39what time I get in,
01:05:41I've got to get up and do the bike.
01:05:44It's to be fair,
01:05:45my first win,
01:05:46because I don't think there's ever been a time,
01:05:47I've wanted to do it.
01:05:50Get up,
01:05:51seven o'clock,
01:05:52go downstairs,
01:05:53put on a coffee,
01:05:55drink the coffee,
01:05:56and wait 20 minutes to kick in.
01:05:57I've seen my brother get up at six,
01:05:59five,
01:06:00like in the morning,
01:06:01get on the bike,
01:06:02then after the bike,
01:06:03go to training,
01:06:04then after training,
01:06:05come back,
01:06:05fit in fatherhood,
01:06:06then we might have a brand deal.
01:06:08So I'll call him and be like,
01:06:09B,
01:06:09we've got a brand deal,
01:06:09we'll be like,
01:06:10I'm there,
01:06:10and then go back on the bike,
01:06:11he's got to do training,
01:06:12and then he might have a game,
01:06:14and then he'll have to inject his leg for the,
01:06:15like people don't know the behind the scenes,
01:06:18people don't know that my brother has to inject his leg
01:06:20before every game,
01:06:23painkillers.
01:06:24People don't see that.
01:06:25So I've seen him go through all of that.
01:06:27I've seen it firsthand.
01:06:35For me,
01:06:35I've always wanted to be part of a team dynamic.
01:06:37Football's a team dynamic,
01:06:38but I think that team dynamic comes from my family dynamic.
01:06:41I've always been part of a family dynamic,
01:06:43and I've been blessed enough to know that.
01:06:44bad things do happen,
01:06:46or setbacks do happen,
01:06:48and I remember them being there and saying,
01:06:50listen,
01:06:51acknowledge it.
01:06:52We can't dwell on it,
01:06:54and we've got to push forward.
01:06:55I don't feel like I ever have to go through problems
01:06:58or situations alone.
01:07:07I think the difficulties most athletes
01:07:11that are part of a team will incur is
01:07:14they miss the team.
01:07:16They miss that bond.
01:07:18They miss that being part of
01:07:20something
01:07:23that's not just them.
01:07:26Part of something greater than them.
01:07:28They miss the camaraderie.
01:07:30They miss the dressing room.
01:07:31They miss the chat.
01:07:33They miss the banter,
01:07:35the laughs,
01:07:35the jokes,
01:07:36the good times,
01:07:37the bad times.
01:07:37That's what they miss.
01:07:38Spoke to the surgeon
01:07:39before when I had the operation
01:07:4115 months ago now.
01:07:44He said, listen,
01:07:44like anything,
01:07:45the more force that goes through your knee,
01:07:47of course,
01:07:48the more pain you're going to get.
01:07:50It's got to the point now
01:07:51where I have to take painkillers
01:07:53just to get through training,
01:07:53and that's when I knew.
01:07:55I knew it was the start
01:07:56to be like,
01:07:58look,
01:07:59B,
01:08:00you always said
01:08:01as long as you're enjoying it,
01:08:03you'll persevere.
01:08:06And it's not that I'm not enjoying football.
01:08:09I just think it got to a stage
01:08:10where my mind knew
01:08:12it was just too much.
01:08:14So when I was taking painkillers
01:08:17to get through training
01:08:19and then game day,
01:08:20it's doubled the doses
01:08:21to get through it.
01:08:23It was severe,
01:08:23and I remember the championship season.
01:08:26There'd be times
01:08:26when I was in pain.
01:08:30We'd talk about
01:08:31the knee was waking me up
01:08:32from sleeping,
01:08:34so I'd be on the side of the bed
01:08:35at like four o'clock in the morning
01:08:37watching the sun come up.
01:08:39Then I was about to take painkillers,
01:08:40and it just got to a point
01:08:41where I was like,
01:08:42look,
01:08:42you know what,
01:08:43it's just too much.
01:08:44He's always been
01:08:45a loud voice,
01:08:47but not an aggressive voice.
01:08:50I remember when he got injured,
01:08:51he broke his leg years ago
01:08:52and he was on the cusp
01:08:53of a big move.
01:08:56And what I'll never forget is
01:08:58he injured himself,
01:09:01had the operation on the Tuesday.
01:09:03The Wednesday in football
01:09:04is always a day off.
01:09:05As a group,
01:09:05during the course of the day,
01:09:07went to visit him in hospital.
01:09:08That doesn't happen.
01:09:10Not on your day off in football.
01:09:13So he made a bet he could score more goals
01:09:18than I made clean sheets,
01:09:20and it just so happened that year
01:09:22that I got 23.
01:09:23I think he still managed like 18 goals,
01:09:26but because he wasn't keeping track,
01:09:27he didn't keep track of stuff like that.
01:09:29About seven years later,
01:09:31I finally got to this club
01:09:32and said,
01:09:32listen,
01:09:33you owe me.
01:09:34and funnily enough,
01:09:36I couldn't remember.
01:09:37Hey yo!
01:09:37No!
01:09:38You still owe me for that bet.
01:09:40What bet?
01:09:41The one clean sheets goals.
01:09:43What?
01:09:44I don't know what you're talking about.
01:09:46I don't know what you're talking about.
01:09:48Stop making up stories.
01:09:50It's just like a family bond.
01:09:52It's that kind of changing room
01:09:54that everyone's together,
01:09:55looks after each other.
01:09:57Doesn't matter what age
01:09:58or statue you have in the game.
01:10:00It doesn't really count
01:10:01in this changing room.
01:10:03It's person
01:10:04and personalities
01:10:05rather than
01:10:05what you've done in the game.
01:10:07I won't mention who's the oldest.
01:10:08He's over there in the background.
01:10:10He's the oldest.
01:10:11And little brothers,
01:10:12big brothers,
01:10:12and lads in the middle,
01:10:13so it's just a pleasure to be around.
01:10:15There was Bayou, myself,
01:10:17JJ and Darius
01:10:18as the four of us
01:10:18that essentially
01:10:19were the senior players in the team
01:10:20and we ran the changing room
01:10:22and what we said
01:10:23and what we implemented
01:10:24spread throughout the rest of the squad
01:10:26and it becomes your culture
01:10:27and people say it
01:10:28but actually it's not what you say,
01:10:29it's how you live your life
01:10:30and that's how we wanted to live every day
01:10:32and that kind of spreads throughout the team.
01:10:50You see every season
01:10:51we just progressed
01:10:52and progressed
01:10:52and progressed
01:10:53and he's been a massive,
01:10:54massive part
01:10:55of the success we've had
01:10:56over the years.
01:10:57he's just one of those guys
01:10:58who always wants to look after
01:11:00the people around him.
01:11:01He's made me look good for years,
01:11:02I'm telling you now.
01:11:03A person in my position
01:11:04who takes set pieces
01:11:05and can kind of
01:11:07play long balls forward
01:11:08and things like that,
01:11:09I have to put it,
01:11:09I can just kick a ball up into an area
01:11:11and he's going to gather it,
01:11:12he's going to bring it down,
01:11:13bring others into place,
01:11:14score goals.
01:11:15I think one season
01:11:16he got me seven or eight assists
01:11:17just from doing that
01:11:18so I love playing with him,
01:11:20he's been great.
01:11:20I'm on the final chapter,
01:11:36last leg
01:11:37of my career
01:11:38but
01:11:38as long as we get the win
01:11:41because
01:11:41we can do all this
01:11:43and I can get the
01:11:44love and all that shit
01:11:47but then
01:11:48at the end
01:11:49if
01:11:49we lose
01:11:50it's going to be shit
01:11:51but
01:11:51say nothing
01:11:52we're going to win the game
01:11:53so it's nothing man,
01:11:54I'll talk to the boys.
01:11:55Yo, yo, yo, yo, y'all good?
01:12:03When B finishes football
01:12:05I just think it's going to be
01:12:05another project
01:12:06that we're going to
01:12:07sink our teeth into.
01:12:08I think
01:12:09it will allow B to be free,
01:12:12there's no holes, bars,
01:12:14we're just free range
01:12:15to do what we want to do
01:12:16as long as we apply
01:12:16the same values
01:12:17that we was raised with
01:12:19and I just think
01:12:20yeah, everything's achievable.
01:12:22Great at connecting with people,
01:12:23he has a shining personality.
01:12:26It's cool to see
01:12:26how far I can find him
01:12:28has come
01:12:29and
01:12:30yeah, I'm proud of him.
01:12:31I'm very, very proud of him.
01:12:33I know he's got more in the tank,
01:12:35I know he's got more
01:12:36things to do
01:12:37and I'm excited for his future.
01:12:40He's such a lovable person,
01:12:41such a big character
01:12:42and the best thing about B
01:12:44is what you see on camera
01:12:45and what you see outside of the
01:12:46it's just exactly how he is
01:12:47off camera.
01:12:48That's him.
01:12:49I see Bale happiest
01:12:50when he's with his kids.
01:12:52And he brings like
01:12:52this, I don't know,
01:12:54different side of him.
01:12:55It's a very fun
01:12:57and interesting experience
01:12:59being a kid friend
01:13:00with his daughter.
01:13:01He is,
01:13:02he's a lot similar
01:13:04to how people see him on TV
01:13:05but he does have like
01:13:07a soft, kind
01:13:09and caring side.
01:13:10One thing about my dad
01:13:11is that he has
01:13:11a very good work ethic.
01:13:13He will wake up
01:13:14really early
01:13:15when I'm supposed
01:13:16to go to school
01:13:16and do the bike.
01:13:18He'll tell me about
01:13:19how he's tired
01:13:20and he has so much work
01:13:21to do
01:13:21yet he'll still do it.
01:13:23And also
01:13:24it actually motivates me.
01:13:30The match was great
01:13:31but I think
01:13:32just like the atmosphere
01:13:33of being in Wycombe,
01:13:34I think it's always like that
01:13:35but especially on that day
01:13:36it was especially good.
01:13:38The people always have
01:13:39such nice things to say
01:13:40and it's like
01:13:41a big family,
01:13:42a community
01:13:42and you always feel the love
01:13:44when you're dead.
01:13:46I've seen him
01:13:47with his children,
01:13:48they love him,
01:13:49adore him.
01:13:50They're the sweetest children
01:13:52as well,
01:13:53so well mannered,
01:13:54fun,
01:13:55intelligent.
01:13:56People genuinely
01:13:57like have like
01:13:58a connection to him,
01:13:59even people who haven't met him.
01:14:01So sometimes when I see that
01:14:02I'm just like
01:14:02oh right,
01:14:03like it's real.
01:14:04Like he actually,
01:14:05he does do stuff like that.
01:14:07So yeah.
01:14:08No I enjoyed that,
01:14:09like I always enjoyed that.
01:14:11I felt loved,
01:14:12I felt loved,
01:14:12I can't lie
01:14:13because everyone was standing up,
01:14:14they were clapping,
01:14:15like we had a good game
01:14:16and we won
01:14:16so the energy was high
01:14:18and like I just felt that.
01:14:19I was just smiling,
01:14:20I was laughing and drinking,
01:14:21like it was very fun
01:14:22and to like celebrate
01:14:23with the fans,
01:14:24the fans are really cool people,
01:14:25I've met some of them
01:14:26while I was there
01:14:26and to like do that with them,
01:14:28especially because
01:14:29I'm not even on the pitch,
01:14:30like a lot of them
01:14:31I don't even think know my name
01:14:32but the fact that
01:14:33they were able to like
01:14:34show that,
01:14:35it made me feel good,
01:14:35like it was a good day.
01:14:40Football has always
01:14:41been his passion,
01:14:41he loves playing football
01:14:43but I feel
01:14:44he knows it's time
01:14:46and I feel like
01:14:48he is looking forward
01:14:49to his next challenge
01:14:50and I think
01:14:51he's going to embrace it.
01:14:52Football's always
01:14:53given me a safety net.
01:14:56Listen,
01:14:56I know I've been blessed,
01:14:57I've been blessed enough
01:14:58to play this game
01:14:59for 20 years,
01:15:00it's allowed me
01:15:01to do every and anything
01:15:02that I've kind of
01:15:02wanted to do
01:15:03and I'll always come back
01:15:05to saying that
01:15:05no matter what
01:15:06I try and count
01:15:07blessings and not problems.
01:15:08Man,
01:15:10it's coming to an end man.
01:15:13You know what,
01:15:14I'm actually,
01:15:14I'm actually okay with it.
01:15:17Different emotions
01:15:18but I'm okay with it.
01:15:21I'm okay with it.
01:15:27Here you go, here you go.
01:15:28Cheers!
01:15:34That's the last game.
01:15:35I'm ready for the next stage.
01:15:56I'll give football.
01:15:58I'll give football me.
01:16:00and I think that's
01:16:04the hardest thing
01:16:07but then it's also
01:16:08the thing which you accept
01:16:09when you know
01:16:10it's time.
01:16:11It's time for past as new.
01:16:14Get me?
01:16:15All this time.
01:16:17Come on.
01:16:23What a day.
01:16:24Oh man.
01:16:25What a day.
01:16:26Oh man.
01:16:26It's most important.
01:16:28Yeah.
01:16:28No man,
01:16:29I wouldn't be playing
01:16:33at age 40
01:16:33if it wasn't for you.
01:16:35But I wouldn't.
01:16:35And I might not be managing
01:16:37in League One
01:16:37at the top end
01:16:38if it wasn't for you.
01:16:38Yeah, but and that's why
01:16:39listen, I think timings,
01:16:41I think stars aligned
01:16:42and we've said this
01:16:43and we will go
01:16:45long beyond football
01:16:47and it's mad
01:16:48because
01:16:48you're the only manager
01:16:50that
01:16:50I can be
01:16:51100% honest
01:16:53with
01:16:54because
01:16:55I know the person I am.
01:16:57Listen,
01:16:57I know the energy
01:16:58I bring
01:16:58but I can be
01:17:00100% honest.
01:17:01Like,
01:17:02I'll tell you
01:17:02for me,
01:17:03I can still
01:17:05for Twitter.
01:17:05I keep saying
01:17:06I was like
01:17:07I know what you're going to say.
01:17:08I know what you're going to say.
01:17:09I was sitting there
01:17:10at 75 minutes.
01:17:11I swear to you
01:17:12I was sitting there
01:17:13at 71 minutes.
01:17:14I know that.
01:17:15Yo, get up for a while,
01:17:16Blanc, yeah?
01:17:16Do you know that?
01:17:17Like, let me go do me.
01:17:18Do you know the person you are
01:17:19allows me to
01:17:20make those decisions
01:17:21to go,
01:17:22you know what?
01:17:23Be all be cool with this
01:17:24because all it is
01:17:25is the game.
01:17:26There's another one.
01:17:26Come in.
01:17:27Blooms, come.
01:17:28It's actually
01:17:29you've walked in
01:17:30at the right time.
01:17:30Come, come.
01:17:31You've walked in
01:17:32at the right time.
01:17:32Come on.
01:17:33Come in.
01:17:34You're one of the best moments today
01:17:35was when I said
01:17:36raise your mum.
01:17:37Yeah.
01:17:37and you've gone there
01:17:38and I waved to your mum
01:17:39and his mum's gone like that
01:17:41and I'm thinking
01:17:41she knows as well
01:17:43what we've done,
01:17:44you know?
01:17:44She knows.
01:17:45Look.
01:17:45Which has been big.
01:17:46Blooms went to me.
01:17:47Be, once you're retired,
01:17:48you're retired.
01:17:49Take the night
01:17:49in eight weeks,
01:17:50whatever it is.
01:17:51If you get ten minutes,
01:17:52two minutes,
01:17:53twenty minutes,
01:17:53take it
01:17:54because,
01:17:55brother,
01:17:55in eight weeks' time
01:17:56you'll have no minutes.
01:17:57Period.
01:17:58I ain't gonna lie.
01:17:59You know me.
01:17:59You've still got that.
01:18:00At 71 minutes today
01:18:02I was sitting on there
01:18:02thinking,
01:18:03brother,
01:18:03I'm gonna dunk on both of them.
01:18:04Gaffin, get me on there.
01:18:05I will dunk on both of these toys.
01:18:07I turned around
01:18:08to say,
01:18:08B, get ready.
01:18:09He's ready.
01:18:10For the first time ever.
01:18:11For the first time ever.
01:18:13I swear to you.
01:18:14You know,
01:18:14and that was it normally.
01:18:15You know normally
01:18:16I'm like,
01:18:17Gaff, tell me when.
01:18:18At that point
01:18:19I was itching to
01:18:20take the bottoms off
01:18:21and slow it
01:18:22and then the top off.
01:18:23I was itching
01:18:24to dunk on these toys.
01:18:25I'm really,
01:18:26it's like a 17 year old
01:18:27getting me on the pitch.
01:18:28It was the funny thing
01:18:29in my head.
01:18:29Do you know what though, mate?
01:18:30Because I knew
01:18:31how much you put into your career
01:18:32and I could see that
01:18:34by missing these minutes
01:18:35because I've gone for it recently.
01:18:36Once it's done,
01:18:37it's done.
01:18:37It's done.
01:18:38And I knew that
01:18:39you'd miss it.
01:18:39Yeah, I needed it.
01:18:40And I wanted you to take
01:18:41every little moment you could.
01:18:43I swear to you,
01:18:44I would not have been able
01:18:45to accomplish
01:18:46what I accomplished
01:18:47in my career.
01:18:49So the best moments
01:18:50of my career
01:18:51has been in the last
01:18:53six years.
01:18:54And I kid you not,
01:18:56and I'll say this,
01:18:56Blooms,
01:18:57I always thought that
01:18:58I am what I am.
01:18:59I am the best
01:19:01at being me.
01:19:03But what I learnt
01:19:03from being around you
01:19:04was, you know what,
01:19:06be the best you can be
01:19:07at all times.
01:19:09And I swear to you,
01:19:10on my life,
01:19:11on here,
01:19:12I thank the both of you
01:19:14from the bottom
01:19:14of my heart.
01:19:16And this is the only,
01:19:16I thank you
01:19:17from the bottom
01:19:17of my heart
01:19:18because I came here
01:19:19and you know
01:19:20what was beautiful?
01:19:21Because we were written off.
01:19:22Because we were
01:19:23the underdogs.
01:19:24But you come into
01:19:25this club six years ago,
01:19:26the best signing
01:19:27of his time,
01:19:28I believe.
01:19:29The best signing
01:19:29in his tenure.
01:19:30I didn't sign you.
01:19:31You didn't sign me.
01:19:31Say no.
01:19:32It would have been me.
01:19:33Yeah, I got you.
01:19:33It wasn't me.
01:19:34I'll let you have this one.
01:19:36The impact you've had here,
01:19:37mate,
01:19:38cannot be overstated.
01:19:39And I mean that.
01:19:40Yep.
01:19:40The impact that you've had
01:19:41for the club as a whole,
01:19:43for the gaffer,
01:19:43for me personally,
01:19:44you say that I inspired you,
01:19:46but you inspired me
01:19:47and you scored the goals
01:19:48that allowed me
01:19:49to stay in the team
01:19:50and to do your running for you.
01:19:52I did what I was good at,
01:19:52you did what you was good at.
01:19:54And together,
01:19:55the stars aligned
01:19:55and as a trio,
01:19:56we were able to grab this club
01:19:58and drive it forward
01:19:59with Dobbo
01:20:00and with JJ
01:20:01and with everyone else
01:20:02who's played such a massive part.
01:20:03And without your signing, mate,
01:20:05this club would not be
01:20:05where it is today.
01:20:07Doing my running
01:20:07don't get seen.
01:20:09It don't get seen.
01:20:11Goals get seen.
01:20:12So,
01:20:13and this is why
01:20:14I say for you,
01:20:16Blooms,
01:20:17you did my running.
01:20:19You've given me moments
01:20:20that you don't even know
01:20:21where you've pulled me
01:20:22and you've said,
01:20:24gaffer,
01:20:25your way,
01:20:25when I've doubted,
01:20:27just the tiniest bit of dark
01:20:29has come into my glorious light
01:20:32and you've gone,
01:20:33gaffer,
01:20:34do it your way.
01:20:35Believe.
01:20:36And you do what you've got to do
01:20:37for this team.
01:20:38You don't know how important
01:20:39that is sometimes
01:20:40to manage
01:20:40because no one ever
01:20:42has a management.
01:20:43No one ever says,
01:20:44well done to you.
01:20:44No one ever tells you
01:20:46you're doing a good thing.
01:20:47No one ever tells you
01:20:48the right way,
01:20:49but you say,
01:20:49gaffer,
01:20:50believe in you
01:20:51and you'll get it right.
01:20:52and that's been huge for me.
01:20:54That's been huge for me,
01:20:54to have someone like that
01:20:56without ever challenging
01:20:58what I do.
01:20:59That's been so important
01:21:00to me,
01:21:01and I really appreciate that.
01:21:02And I don't mind
01:21:04saying this on camera,
01:21:05I couldn't have done
01:21:06what I've done
01:21:07without you,
01:21:08without you.
01:21:10And Wiccan Wanderers
01:21:11wouldn't have been
01:21:11where it is now
01:21:12without you two.
01:21:13and I remember
01:21:41the gaffer
01:21:41when I signed,
01:21:43he said,
01:21:43I know what I'm signing.
01:21:44So,
01:21:45because I know
01:21:45what I'm signing,
01:21:47I'm going to give you
01:21:48what you need
01:21:49to continue to do
01:21:50what you're doing
01:21:50outside the pitch.
01:21:51And because he did that,
01:21:53I always felt
01:21:54obligated
01:21:55and obliged
01:21:56to be like,
01:21:57I'm going to try
01:21:58and give you
01:21:58as much as I can,
01:21:59if not more.
01:22:01This also was
01:22:02one of my favourite
01:22:03pitchers
01:22:03from that season,
01:22:05which was 0-0
01:22:06with Wumberden.
01:22:08And he must have
01:22:08said to me,
01:22:10I can take you
01:22:11with all my boys.
01:22:12I said,
01:22:13one, two, three,
01:22:13four, five, six, seven.
01:22:15You need two more
01:22:16and then we're about even.
01:22:17That's what I was
01:22:17saying to them,
01:22:18I looked like.
01:22:20Ah,
01:22:21yeah.
01:22:22But this one,
01:22:23you knew it was a unique team,
01:22:25a unique squad.
01:22:26When you say how to do something
01:22:28and you achieve it,
01:22:29it has to be the best.
01:22:31Becoming a professional
01:22:32is my best moment,
01:22:33but this memory
01:22:34to be here
01:22:35which is unmatched.
01:22:38is my best moment.
01:22:38Yeah.
01:22:38Nice to meet you.
01:22:39Nice to meet you.
01:22:40Nice to meet you.
01:22:41Well, I'm blessed.
01:22:55Arguably the most enthusiastic
01:22:57and smiley person
01:22:58of talk sport towers
01:22:59and a World Cup
01:23:00bronze medalist to boot.
01:23:01We will look after you.
01:23:03Leon, you've been here before?
01:23:04Yeah, definitely.
01:23:05I've been here many times.
01:23:06Players at the moment
01:23:07are carrying a load
01:23:07which the results
01:23:09ain't backing
01:23:10until you get there.
01:23:11I remember getting
01:23:11into a couple of clubs
01:23:12and thinking,
01:23:12oh,
01:23:13these players are stronger
01:23:14and faster
01:23:15so you've got to kind of up it.
01:23:16You know what I see?
01:23:20I see that stadium was you.
01:23:23That's gone.
01:23:24I hate to say it,
01:23:25but that was gone.
01:23:27This world out there now, mate,
01:23:28that's you.
01:23:30You're in the real world.
01:23:31You'll miss people
01:23:33coming to him for advice
01:23:34on a daily basis.
01:23:35You'll miss making people
01:23:37laugh on a daily basis
01:23:38in that dressing room
01:23:39and you'll miss going out
01:23:40and being the big man.
01:23:43Being the guy that
01:23:44when the chips are down,
01:23:46everybody looks to Bayo.
01:23:47This feeling is
01:23:48football's done for me.
01:23:50I want to shut down
01:23:51mentally and physically.
01:23:52I want to go away
01:23:53and that's how I feel now.
01:23:55When it's going to hit me,
01:23:56it's going to hit me
01:23:57when everybody goes back
01:23:58and I'm not.
01:23:59But I truly believe
01:24:00sometimes you've got to
01:24:01go through
01:24:02what you go through
01:24:03so it sets you up
01:24:05for then what you have
01:24:06to go through
01:24:06further down the line.
01:24:08Stay true to you
01:24:09but also know
01:24:10that every day
01:24:11is a learning day.
01:24:12That's the advice
01:24:13I would give to
01:24:13any youngster
01:24:14and I'll give to
01:24:15to a younger B.
01:24:24Proud of you.
01:24:26Look what we've achieved.
01:24:28Look how far we've come.
01:24:30Blessings, young one.
01:24:31Told you we'd be good.
01:24:32I told you
01:24:33we would be good.
01:24:35Just an average brother.
01:24:37I don't say all the right things
01:24:38at all the right times
01:24:39but I'm cool with this.
01:24:41I think it's good
01:24:42to sometimes show
01:24:42aspects of
01:24:44who you are,
01:24:45what you are
01:24:46to the world.
01:24:49I knew that I had to build
01:24:51something for when I finish.
01:24:53I didn't earn
01:24:54the big salaries
01:24:55in football
01:24:56to say
01:24:57oh yeah,
01:24:57you know what,
01:24:58when I retire
01:24:58I don't have to do
01:24:59anything again.
01:25:00I knew that wasn't the case.
01:25:01I knew that
01:25:01a long time ago.
01:25:03So I concentrated
01:25:05on building a brand
01:25:07or building something
01:25:08for when I retire.
01:25:10Do things to prove
01:25:11yourself right
01:25:12and not have us wrong.
01:25:14And the source you have
01:25:16is the most powerful source
01:25:17you can have.
01:25:19And
01:25:19when you finish watching this
01:25:21know
01:25:22I did it my way.
01:25:24Your way has to be
01:25:26the best way.
01:25:27I guess that's it.
01:25:42So that's it.
01:26:02So
01:26:35...
