02:36Ensure your English tests and skills assessments are current.
02:43Moving on to the South Australia DAMA update.
02:48Applicants under SA's DAMA can now transition from a subclass 482 to PR subclass 186 in just two years instead of three.
02:57The DAMA offers relaxed requirements for age up to 55 years, English and salary thresholds.
03:03Over 400 occupations are eligible.
03:08Then we look at the top 10 occupations for DAMA.
03:15The top roles include truck drivers, aged care workers, waiters, fruit pickers and forklift drivers,
03:22highlighting demand across skilled and semi-skilled sectors.
03:26So, following that we examine the Far North Queensland DAMA additions.
03:36VETASSES will now assess occupations such as beef cattle farm workers, taxi drivers,
03:43pharmacy sales assistants and more under FNQ's regional DAMA.
03:49Next, we discuss the rise in US to Australia migration.
03:52A 350% spike in inquiries from US professionals has been reported.
04:01Many Americans, especially in tech and science fields, are fleeing job cuts, poor work culture and
04:07political shifts. Some accept salary cuts up to $600,000 for Australian stability.
04:15Then, we explore the increases in income thresholds.
04:18Key income benchmarks for visa eligibility in Australia have recently increased across multiple
04:27categories. The Temporary Skilled Migration Income Threshold, commonly known as TSMIT,
04:33has been raised from $73,150 to $76,515, ensuring that migrant workers receive fair market wages.
04:43For applicants under the specialist stream, the income threshold has been lifted from $135,000
04:49to $141,210 to $141,210. Additionally, the high income threshold has also seen a notable increase,
04:57rising from $175,000 to $183,100. These changes reflect Australia's broader effort to align salary
05:06requirements with current economic conditions and labour market expectations.
05:14After that, we cover the visa fee hikes.
