00:30Florida. According to the lawsuit's claim, Trump's name appeared in a 2003 birthday greeting,

00:42that the publication of this report had an extremely detrimental financial and social

00:47impact on Trump. Murdoch, Dow Jones, News Corp., the company's CEO Robert Thompson,

00:53and two reporters from the journal have been named as defendants in the lawsuit.

00:57The Wall Street Journal report stated that Trump's message was in a leather-bound birthday book

01:03with a hand-drawn picture of a nude woman surrounding several typed lines. The last line read,

01:09Happy Birthday, and May Every Day Be Another Beautiful Secret, with Donald written below.

01:15Epstein's Death and Conspiracy Theories

01:18Jeffrey Epstein, convicted of corruption and sexual offenses, committed suicide in a New York

01:24prison in 2019. Many conspiracy theories spread around his death, many of which became widely

01:31popular among Trump's supporters. Many of them believe that the government killed him to conceal

01:36Epstein's relationships with wealthy individuals. Trump has claimed that he severed ties with Epstein

01:42before the first allegations against him surfaced in 2006. Trump has denied the Wall Street Journal's

01:49report and had previously warned that he would file a lawsuit. Trump said,

01:53We have now filed a powerful lawsuit against everyone who published this false, malicious,

01:58defamatory, fake news article. Is $10 billion exaggerated?

02:06Legal experts say that the $10 billion in damages Trump is seeking is the largest amount

02:12in any defamation case in U.S. history. Previous large defamation cases include a $1.5 billion

02:40The Epstein issue has once again stirred discomfort in the White House. This month, the U.S. Justice

02:47Department stated that long-standing conspiracy theories have not been proven. A memo released on July 7

02:53stated that Epstein committed suicide and no client list or sensational blackmail evidence was found

02:59with him. Nevertheless, under public pressure, Trump announced on Thursday that he has asked

03:04Attorney General Pam Bondi to apply to the court for the release of grand jury testimony related to

03:10Epstein. The next day, Friday, the government applied to the federal court in New York for the

03:15release of the grand jury testimony from the cases of Epstein and his associate Ghislaine Maxwell.

03:21Maxwell was convicted in 2021 on five federal charges of aiding and abetting the sexual abuse of minors

03:28and was sentenced to 20 years in prison. She is currently appealing her sentence to the Supreme
