00:00Everything We'll See in the Kimetsu no Yaiba, Infinity Castle Movie
00:04At long last, after much anticipation, the Kimetsu no Yaiba, Infinity Castle movie has
00:11premiered in Japan, and the audience's reaction couldn't be more enthusiastic.
00:16Early impressions from those lucky enough to see it in Japanese theaters unanimously agree
00:21on one key point. This is, without a doubt, Ufotable's best production to date,
00:26with animation quality that raises the already sky-high standards previously set in arcs like
00:32Mugen Train and Entertainment District. The fights between Zenitsu and Kaigaku, as well as the Battle
00:38of Tanjiro and Giyu against Akaza, have been described as absolutely electrifying,
00:44packed with emotional intensity, speed, and breathtaking visuals, solidifying them as the
00:49best action sequences in Demon Slayer anime history. As for the film's narrative structure,
00:55it confirms what many manga readers had long suspected. Spoiler warning for those who haven't
01:01read the manga. The movie centers around three main battles, Shinobu vs. Doma, Zenitsu vs. Kaigaku,
01:10and Tanjiro, and Giyu vs. Akaza. Ufotable added completely original material, expanding scenes,
01:17deepening characters' emotional backstories, and even including new fight sequences not present in the
01:22manga. But perhaps the film's greatest surprise, and its most brilliant decision, is the full
01:28adaptation of the Akaza battle. That's right, the entire fight from start to finish is animated in
01:34this movie. Contrary to theories that the showdown between Tanjiro, Tomioka, and Akaza would be split
01:44across two films, the whole battle is covered here. From its brutal beginning, to Akaza's tragic human
01:50flashbacks to its stunning climax and ultimate death. This decision gives the movie a powerful
01:56and satisfying sense of closure, while still leaving room for the next two films to focus on
02:02the remaining upper moons and the inevitable confrontation with Muzan Kibutsuji. The Akaza
02:09fight is handled with both deep respect for the source material and cinematic ambition, making it one of
02:15the most moving, intense, and visually spectacular moments in the franchise.
02:21In the film, we're finally introduced to Keizo, a key figure from Akaza's past before he became a demon.
02:28Keizo ran a martial arts dojo where he taught the Soryu style, known for its strength, precision,
02:34and refined technique. He took in Hakuji, Akaza's human name, as a homeless boy, showing him a life of
02:41discipline and purpose. Their bond was incredibly strong. Keizo gains even more weight as a character
02:49thanks to the voice performance by Yuichi Nakamura, a renowned seiyuu also known for voicing Satoru Gojo,
02:56Jujutsu Kaisen, and Hawks, My Hero Academia. His voice brings a mix of wisdom, warmth, and strength,
03:04giving Keizo a powerful emotional presence. The film also delves deeply into Akaza's tragic
03:11backstory. As a human, Hakuji was stubborn yet kind-hearted, someone willing to sacrifice himself
03:17for others without hesitation. His life was marked by loss, pain, and a constant struggle to find true
03:24purpose. Despite his rebellious nature, he had a compassionate heart and iron will that drove him
03:30to protect those he loved. Even as a demon, Akaza remains haunted by guilt and the memory of his
03:36broken promises, especially to Keizo and Kuyuki. This psychological depth lends a heartbreaking
03:42humanity to one of the series' most powerful and fearsome antagonists.
03:49Meanwhile, the movie does not forget about the wind Hashira, Sanami Shinazugawa. Though he hasn't yet
03:56faced an upper moon, his presence is emotionally powerful. We see him grieving the death of Kaguya
04:01Ubuyashiki, leader of the Demon Slayer Corps. In a silent but meaningful scene, Sanami is shown
04:08meditating, his face filled with sorrow, before swearing to avenge his fallen master. What follows
04:14is a brutal sequence in which Sanami unleashes unmatched ferocity, tearing through a wave of demons in his
04:20path. The film concludes with a visually stunning and emotionally heavy scene. Giyu Tomioka and
04:30Tanjiro, exhausted and wounded after their battle with Akaza, lie unconscious but alive on the
04:35battlefield. The silence that follows the demon's death reflects the steep price of victory. Though
04:41they have defeated one of the strongest demons, it's clear the war is far from over. In fact,
04:47following Shinobu's death, the film shows Kanao beginning her confrontation with Doma. Though her
04:53role in this movie is brief, her courage and resolve lay the groundwork for one of the most impactful
04:58moments in the second film. This transition from one intense battle to the setup of another leaves
05:04audiences on edge. The film also makes clear the immediate consequences of Akaza's death within the
05:13demon hierarchy. Doma and Kokushibo, the remaining upper moons, react with a mix of surprise, annoyance,
05:20and scorn. Doma appears somewhat amused by the turn of events, while Kokushibo remains cold as ever,
05:27though his furrowed brow reveals growing unrest among the demons. But the most striking moment is
05:33Muzan Kibutsuji's reaction. For the first time in the trilogy, Muzan is visibly furious over Akaza's
05:39death. This scene is completely original to the anime, as the manga does not depict Muzan's
05:45immediate response, making it one of the most talked about moments among fans. Muzan is still
05:50immobilized due to Tamayo's powers. In this first part of the cinematic trilogy, the Hashira,
06:00Gyome Himajima, Muichiro Tokito, Sanemi Shinazugawa, Obanai Iguro, and Mitsuri Kanroji play a more
06:09restrained role, limited to short battles against mid- or lower-ranked demons, serving as a prelude
06:15to the chaos to come. Their strength and skill are evident, but the script clearly saves their
06:21defining moments for the second movie. For now, the Hashira serve mainly as a containment force,
06:26guarding key areas, and holding the Demon Slayer HQ while Tanjiro and Giyu confront Akaza.
06:33This calm is deliberate, as the next film will thrust them into the spotlight in titanic showdowns,
06:40especially when the battle against Kokushibo, the upper rank one and Nakime, the new upper rank four,
06:45begins. Nakime's control of the Infinity Castle will pose an unprecedented strategic threat.
06:51It's in that upcoming movie where Gyome will show why he's considered the strongest Hashira,
06:55and where each of the remaining pillars will have their greatest moments of glory and sacrifice.
07:04With this reveal, the trailer successfully establishes the level of danger and the
07:10magnitude of the challenges the protagonists will face, further elevating excitement and
07:15anticipation for the first installment of this trilogy. The official poster for Kemetsu no Yaiba,
07:21Infinite Castle. Part 1 has also been unveiled, offering a stunning visual composition that
07:27captures the scale of the events that will unfold in the film. At the center of the image,
07:32Tanjiro Kamado and Giyu Tomioka strike a powerful battle stance, both wielding water-breathing techniques
07:39with their swords drawn, surrounded by fluid water effects that emphasize the precision and lethality
07:45of their attacks. Around them, the other Demon Slayers who have entered the Infinite Dimensional
07:50Fortress stand ready, including Zenitsu, Inosuke, and the Hashira who will engage in intense battles
07:57against the upper moons. Each character has a determined expression and a posture that conveys
08:02the tension of the impending confrontations inside the ever-changing castle.
