Mass protests erupted in Damascus as Syrian citizens gathered outside parliament, chanting “Stop killing our people” in a show of defiance against Israeli airstrikes and escalating sectarian violence.
The demonstration follows deadly Israeli strikes on the Syrian Army General Staff headquarters in Damascus, which Israel claims were a response to the government's failure to protect the Druze minority in Sweida. Protesters are calling for an end to both foreign intervention and internal bloodshed, demanding peace and accountability.
This comes as nearly 250 people have reportedly died in clashes between Syrian government forces, Islamist fighters, and Druze militias in recent days.
