00:00It's going to be probably the first real GC battle.
00:09I think on paper the climbs are not the hardest ones, but it's up and down all the day.
00:13Come on Jonas, you're the strongest, sir, you're the strongest.
00:16I remember the stage in Mastille-Centrale last year.
00:19It cracks for Evenepoel too.
00:21And Roglic now cracks.
00:23If it's going to be the same tomorrow, I think we might expect already some first cracks in the GC.
00:28The top two riders in the Tour are yet again Tadej Pogacar and Jonas Wengergaard.
00:35Are you going to be on the offensive or on the defensive today?
00:41Yeah, that's the question.
00:43Pogacar goes and Wengergaard can't go.
00:46Can he do it? Hauling himself. Pedal Rev by Pedal Rev.
00:50Back onto the wheel of the World Champion.
00:54It's always better to have more time.
00:55Pogacar starts. Wengergaard is going to go with him.
00:59The more important is not to lose time.
01:01I would have liked to do a better time trial.
01:03Obviously, I would have liked to lose a little bit less time there.
01:07Yeah, let's go for it.
01:11Who will celebrate the storming of the Bastille by successfully storming up and down the Massive Central?
01:23No fewer than eight category climbs.
01:25A GC battle or a breakaway going the distance?
01:28Perhaps it'll be both.
01:30I'll start at the end of the world.
01:31I'll start at the end of the world, I'll give you everything.
01:33I'll start at the end of the world.
01:35I'll start at the end of the world.
01:37You want to put your arm down?
01:39So, it's going to be a battle, but you'll do everything.
01:43Let's go for the road crew and we'll do everything.
01:47Group, out of the peloton.
01:51Let's be conservative, Lenny there.
01:54It's going to take a bit of time to go during the break.
01:57It's good that you are there, but don't waste the bullets.
02:05More attacks, more attacks from Wisma Elisabike.
02:08Yep, big attack of Yates, you can see that style out of the saddle.
02:12Let's go.
02:42The first escapee in the GC was Ben Healy, just under four minutes down.
02:46And the French promise then delivered their presence in the break.
02:49Lenny Martinez and Julien Alaphilippe hoping to deliver on the Fête Nationale.
02:54A reasonable gap to control, but sparks were about to fly.
03:01Ben O'Connor goes on the attack.
03:04The Australian's attack asking questions of who could respond.
03:12Around 15 managing to do so.
03:14Lenny Martinez in particular on the hunt for the polka dots.
03:17And nabbing enough points to be the virtual king of the mountain.
03:20As they reorganized, it was EF Education's Harry Sweeney setting a fierce pace.
03:30That would help put teammate Ben Healy into the virtual yellow jersey.
03:35VIRTUELLEMENT BEN HEALY IN THE GENERAL
03:5130 final kilometres in this small but elite group of riders had survived at the head of the race,
03:57the winner of the stage to be decided between them.
04:00Who could make the stage winning attack?
04:02Quin Simmonds clearly threw his name into the hat, but a long way from a defining move.
04:09Back down the road, Visma and Lisa Bike were trying to pressure the yellow jersey of Pogacar.
04:14Jorgensen and Kuss testing out the world champion.
04:18And of course, they've done this on the Galibia a couple of years ago, if you remember.
04:22Standing riders and Vindegaard put that big attack going from rider to rider to rider.
04:28Not too much for them of this crowd, not too much. Keep an eye on Jorgensen.
04:34Not too much for the left.
04:37Simon is distance to front. The champion of the United States, only 500 feet on the left.
04:48Guys, stay close to Tadej and communicate between you.
04:52Another move of Jorgensen. Tadej Pogacar has to close it.
04:56close it. The attack of Simon Yates as he reaches the bottom of the climb, Ben
05:09Healey tries to go with him. The winner of the Giro d'Italia, the winner of
05:13La Vuelta goes on to the final climb of the day with a move to try and win the
05:18stage.
05:20The British rider reaches the top of the climb, breaks into a smile. He's now got
05:28a hat-trick of victories in the Tour de France. Yates wins stage 10. Here's a big
05:34attack. Remko Avnipol decides to go. Remko Avnipol strikes and Pogacar decides it's
05:40not worth going. The Irish rider reaches the line and the clock starts. He has got
05:48three minutes and 55 seconds to wait to find out if he is the yellow jersey. And
05:55here goes Pogacar. Pogacar's decided, well today you've tried, but now I'm going to
06:01show you who's the boss.
06:06Ben Healey celebrates. He is going to be on the podium in yellow. And here is Lenny
06:11Martinez on Bastille Day has done a wonderful job for France and Bahrain
06:16victorious. Pogacar on his wheel, finishes about 4 minutes and 21 seconds behind Ben Healey.
06:29Winning the Giro, you still have the legs.
06:32It's not easy. I'm still a bit tired from there, but the stage played out in a way
06:39that I could be there for the stage. And yeah, I took it with both hands.
06:46It's a fairy tale, you know. If you told me this before the tour, I think I wouldn't have
06:51believed you, you know. So stage win in yellow jersey is just, yeah, incredible and beyond belief, really.
07:02Simon Yates earns his third tour stage win, but first for six years. The reigning Giro champion
07:14holding off tour debutant Thiemann Asimann for the Ineos riders' best stage result. And Ben Healey,
07:20third, get the Irishman in radiant yellow. How to top a stage four win, become Ireland's first yellow jersey
07:26since 1987. No movement in the points classification, Jonathan Milan still in green,
07:32the only rider to have broken 200-point barrier. Lenny Martinez made sure Frenchman was in a
07:38major jersey on Bastille day, a swashbuckling performance to be the current King of the
07:43mountains. And Ben Healey's heroics saw him take the white jersey too, 1 minute 29 on
07:48Évenepoel, while Vauclain had a bad day at the office.
