00:00So Brendan, how does it feel to be the fastest man here so far in Valleyfield?
00:04Ah, it feels good.
00:05Anytime you can come here and sit on top of the leaderboard, it's just incredible.
00:08Them fans, I saw two dynamite heats today, one with me and Andrew Tate, one with me and Jack Lupton.
00:14These boys ain't giving it to me easy, but the crew's got a great boat behind me, makes my job a little easier.
00:20Have you ever seen so much competitive group in the Grand Prix since the beginning?
00:25Nah, I've never seen it.
00:26I mean, everyone usually comes in here and you have people make mistakes and you just try to get to the final clean,
00:32but you have the fastest boats here and every heat has been competitive.
00:37You seem to be the best of this group, but with to handle it in the inside lane, is it the lane that you prefer here in Valleyfield?
00:45Ah, we were just talking about that debriefing right now, and it's hard to say because lane one's tough,
00:50but as long as you get clean to the start and to the first turn, I think we'll be okay.
00:53I'm glad to have that heat with Andrew Tate earlier, told us a lot about the boat and what we need if we are in that lane in the final,
01:00but there's no way you can sandbag, so it is what it is.
01:03We'll find out when we get there.
01:05So far, you're in a tough position, but there's a lot of more racing tomorrow.
01:10How do you see your Sunday here in Valleyfield?
01:13We'll see what heat we're in, what competition we got in that first heat three and go from there.
01:19I mean, we just, we got to make the final.
01:20You can't make any mistakes trying to get there.
01:22We're in a good lane, so go out there trying not to jump the gun or do anything like I did last year
01:27to put us in a bad position and just make it to the final and give the fans a show.
01:30We'll see you next time.
