02:41Barely about 25 years of age,
02:43but already a young achiever.
02:45Holding a trophy,
02:47donning sports attire,
02:49flashing the smile of this young achiever
02:50with her sheer hard work and merit
02:52in the sport of tennis.
02:54Scaling heights already
02:55with support, clearly, from her family,
02:58from her parents.
02:59Cut to 10th July, 2025.
03:02This young woman is found dead.
03:04Killed allegedly by her own father
03:06in her own three-story house
03:08in Gurugram, a cosmopolitan city.
03:11But too many questions unanswered
03:13while many are shocked.
03:15How can a father shoot dead his own daughter?
03:19Here's a report.
03:20A young tennis player
03:24who aspired to become
03:25a social media influencer.
03:28Inspired by Elvis Yadav,
03:30a popular content creator
03:31from her village.
03:33Now murdered by her own father
03:35on her mother's birthday.
03:38This is the tragic story
03:40of 25-year-old national-level
03:42tennis player Radhika Yadav,
03:44who was allegedly shot dead
03:45by her father Deepak Yadav
03:47at their home
03:48in Gurugram, Sector 57
03:50on Thursday morning.
03:52In his confession to the police,
03:54Deepak stated
03:55that he was troubled
03:56by the local's taunts,
03:57suggesting that he was surviving
03:59off his daughter's income
04:00and had even heard people
04:02questioning her character.
04:04He said he had asked Radhika
04:06multiple times
04:06to shut down the academy,
04:08but she had refused.
04:10According to police,
04:11at the time of the murder,
04:13only Radhika, her mother Manju,
04:15and the father
04:16were present
04:17on the first floor
04:17of the house.
04:35The accused's father
04:36has now been sent
04:37to police remand
04:38for one day.
04:39According to police sources,
04:56Radhika wanted to become
04:58an influencer.
04:59But her father Deepak
05:00was upset about his daughter
05:02making reels
05:02and posting them on Instagram.
05:05But Radhika had promised
05:06her family that she would
05:07never do anything
05:08that would bring them shame.
05:09She even took her mother
05:10along while shooting reels.
05:13Now as per the probe,
05:15Radhika's father Deepak Yadav
05:16spent over 2.5 crores
05:18on a tennis training.
05:20However,
05:21mental stress
05:22and societal pressure
05:23allegedly pushed him
05:24to shoot his daughter.
05:25For children,
05:26when it happens,
05:28the guardians
05:28who are observing
05:29the children
05:30or who are taking care
05:31of the children
05:31get irritated.
05:35Initially,
05:35what they will do is
05:36they will tell them
05:37politely
05:38not to do this,
05:39not to do this,
05:40or limit your time,
05:41limit your time.
05:42But when the child
05:43is not listening,
05:45then it creates anger
05:47and which can lead
05:48to harmful steps.
05:49A tragic end
05:52to a life full of joy
05:54and a career full of promise.
05:57Family is in shock
05:58and they say that,
06:00you know,
06:01just because a girl
06:01wanted to make
06:02Instagram reels
06:03doesn't mean
06:03that she should be killed
06:07for wanting
06:08what she wanted to do.
06:09And there are many,
06:10many questions
06:11within those layers
06:11that the police
06:12is yet to investigate on.
06:15With Manish
06:15in Guru Gram,
06:16Miland Sharma
06:17for India Today.
06:19India Today
06:25has accessed
06:25the post-mortem report
06:27details that are
06:28out disturbing details.
06:30Radhika Yadav
06:31was shot
06:32with four bullets
06:33pumped into her body
06:34and all these
06:36bullet marks
06:37have been found
06:37confirmed on
06:38Radhika's chest,
06:40torso area.
06:41Bullets were removed
06:42from the body.
06:43The mortal remains
06:44have been sent
06:45for the examination
06:46as well.
06:47The government hospital
06:48has also revealed
06:49that there are
06:49details that have
06:50come in about
06:51four bullet wounds
06:53directly to the chest
06:55which means
06:56most likely
06:56a point-blank
06:57range hit
06:58and this happened
06:59while she was
07:00at her residence.
07:01The question here is,
07:02remember,
07:03that still prevails
07:03that the murderer,
07:05allegedly the father,
07:07had admitted
07:07in the police
07:08Sapphire as well,
07:09that he was the one
07:10to have shot
07:11his own daughter,
07:12Radhika,
07:13from behind.
07:15So,
07:15if he has shot her
07:16from behind,
07:17was the wound
07:18in front,
07:20on the chest,
07:21during the post-mortem?
07:23All gunshot mocks
07:24were seen
07:25on the chest
07:26from where the
07:26doctor's team
07:27have now recovered
07:28four bullet wounds.
07:30That means,
07:30remember,
07:31not an accidental hit.
07:32Four bullet wounds
07:33clearly suggest
07:35that this was
07:36a direct,
07:36deliberate hit.
07:37My colleague,
07:38Milan Sharma,
07:38has been on the ground
07:39in Gurugram.
07:40She's tracking
07:41all the latest
07:41on this big story.
07:43Milan,
07:43as we look at
07:44these post-mortem details,
07:46four bullet wounds
07:46in itself shows
07:47that he wanted her
07:48dead.
07:49But why is there
07:50some sort of
07:51controversy or speculation
07:52over this?
07:57Well,
07:58Pooja,
07:58the post-mortem report
07:59that has been accessed
08:00by India today
08:02clearly shows
08:03that the four bullets
08:05fired by the father
08:06were fired from the front
08:08and all those bullet marks
08:10are on the front
08:11of the chest
08:12and that is very
08:13crucial information
08:14because in the statement
08:15that was given
08:15to the police earlier,
08:17it was said that
08:18he fired from the back
08:19and this is the big question
08:22that the police
08:23needs to investigate.
08:24The bullets were fired
08:25from the front
08:25if the post-mortem
08:26is showing that
08:27the bullets were
08:27on the chest
08:29and the bullet marks
08:30were on the chest,
08:30then that needs to be
08:32investigated further
08:33and what was
08:34the reaction,
08:35action that was
08:36happening at that
08:37point of time.
08:37We have been discussing
08:38that there could have
08:39been some altercation
08:40between the father
08:41and the daughter
08:41and meanwhile
08:43the statements
08:43that have been
08:44coming out
08:44saying that
08:45the father
08:45went to the kitchen
08:46and she was
08:47cooking something
08:47for the mother
08:48because it happened
08:49to be the mother's
08:49birthday.
08:50So definitely
08:51there must have
08:51been some altercation
08:52and that is something
08:53that the police
08:54will need to investigate.
08:55Next,
08:56before moving forward
08:57with this investigation,
08:59one day judicial custody
09:00of the father
09:01A quick question,
09:02Milan,
09:02what are the cops saying?
09:03Officially,
09:04what is the police
09:04version on this
09:06murder right now?
09:07It looks like
09:07there are changing
09:07statements coming in.
09:12Well,
09:13Pooja,
09:13we are yet to see
09:14a contrary version
09:16from the police,
09:16yet to see an official
09:17statement on this
09:18but our sources
09:19have informed us
09:20that this is
09:21one of the crucial
09:22informations
09:22that have come out now.
09:24Earlier statement,
09:25I can tell you,
09:25was given by the police
09:26on record saying
09:27that the father
09:28was unhappy
09:29that the girl
09:31was running an academy
09:33and he wanted
09:34her not to run
09:35an academy
09:36and she had refused
09:37to shut the academy.
09:38And another reason
09:39that was given
09:39by the police
09:40was of course
09:41the real making
09:42and the social media
09:43influencer angle
09:44on, you know,
09:45the girl wanted
09:46to be a social media
09:47influencer.
09:48So that is one
09:48information that has
09:49come forward on record
09:50but we have been
09:51saying time and again
09:52all these things
09:53don't add up
09:54and since they
09:55don't add up,
09:56layers of layers
09:57need to be peeled off
09:58to actually understand
10:00what went wrong.
10:00There are questions
10:01that are still
10:01unanswered
10:02but for now
10:03at least one
10:04confirmation
10:05that has come in
10:06is four bullet wounds
10:07pumped into the chest
10:09into the body
10:09of this young girl.
10:11Stay on with me,
10:11Milan.
10:12I have more news
10:12coming in.
10:13Remember what the police
10:13had said
10:14that the father
10:15was against
10:17the tennis academy
10:18now,
10:19wanted that to be
10:20shot,
10:20was against the reels,
10:21the influencer bit
10:22that was coming in.
10:23Let's take a look
10:24at the big news
10:25that's coming in
10:25about what
10:26our people around
10:28her who knew
10:28her have to say.
10:31India Today
10:32has accessed
10:33Radhika Yadav's
10:34WhatsApp conversation
10:35with one of her
10:36coach,
10:37a tennis coach
10:37and it does reveal
10:39that there were
10:40some concerns.
10:42The deceased
10:42victim Radhika Yadav
10:44wanted to here on
10:45live an independent
10:46life.
10:46Remember,
10:47she's an adult.
10:48She was about
10:4825 years of age
10:50and clearly was
10:51perhaps planning
10:52to live
10:52as an independent
10:54life,
10:55wanted to explore
10:55further.
10:56Radhika appears
10:57to have mentioned
10:58to her tennis coach,
11:00I want to enjoy
11:01life and then
11:02said many
11:04restrictions at
11:05home.
11:05So this 25 year
11:06old was clearly
11:07feeling that there
11:08were certain
11:09restrictions that
11:10were coming in
11:11from whether this
11:12was from both
11:12the parents,
11:13specifically from
11:14the father,
11:14but eventually
11:15nevertheless that
11:17leading to a
11:17murder.
11:18Milan Sharma
11:18continues to be
11:19with us.
11:20Milan,
11:20I think this is
11:21a crucial bit
11:21when the court
11:22suggests that
11:23possibly she
11:24was facing
11:25certain issues,
11:26certain restrictions.
11:27Any details on
11:28that?
11:29What do we take
11:29away from this?
11:34Well,
11:34absolutely,
11:35Pooja,
11:35as you just
11:36put up on the
11:37broadcast,
11:38there are
11:38WhatsApp chats
11:39that have been
11:39accessed by
11:40India today that
11:41clearly show how
11:42the girl wanted
11:43to travel abroad,
11:44she wanted to
11:44live an independent
11:45life for some
11:46time,
11:46so she said
11:47that China could
11:48have perhaps been
11:49an issue,
11:49but Dubai
11:50is where her
11:51coach was.
11:52this WhatsApp
11:53chat is between
11:53her and her
11:54coach and she
11:55does say clearly
11:56that if anything
11:57within one or two
11:59months in October,
12:00November,
12:00December,
12:01I want to leave
12:02from here for
12:03some time.
12:04There are a lot
12:05of restrictions on
12:06my life and I
12:07want to enjoy my
12:08life because there
12:09are restrictions
12:10here and I will
12:12speak to my father
12:13is the other point
12:14that she raises
12:15and I don't know
12:17that you know
12:19whether I'll be
12:19able to convince
12:20him or not.
12:22You know,
12:22these are the
12:22conversations.
12:23There are some
12:23audio messages
12:24that have also
12:25been shared
12:25with her coach.
12:27So,
12:27of course,
12:28there has been
12:28conversation that's
12:29been written that
12:30we are reading to
12:31you and of course
12:33this is the basic
12:34concern that we are
12:35looking at right
12:36now that she wanted
12:37to live an
12:37independent life.
12:39She wanted to
12:39step out and this
12:40was something in
12:41her plans.
12:43You know,
12:43she may have
12:43spoken to her
12:44father about this,
12:45but again,
12:45you know,
12:46the one-day
12:46judicial custody
12:47questioning of
12:48the father will
12:48actually bring
12:49these points to
12:50light soon.
12:51But very
12:52crucially,
12:52these were the
12:53chats that have
12:54she's done these
12:56chats with her
12:56coach right before.
12:58So,
12:59perhaps she wanted
12:59to head out.
13:00Was there some
13:01concern about her
13:02going abroad out
13:03of the country
13:03for any training
13:04or any sort of
13:05exploration further?
13:07And remember,
13:08this is in the
13:08mind of a lot of
13:09youngsters.
13:10What looks like
13:11clearly a young
13:12achiever planning
13:13to further go ahead
13:15and become an
13:16influencer and
13:17from a happy
13:18family turned
13:19out to be such
13:20a gruesome
13:20murder.
13:21Milan,
13:21please stay
13:22on with me
13:22because here's
13:23what we know
13:24for sure.
13:24We are not
13:24going to make
13:25conjectures.
13:25It's a disturbing
13:26development that
13:28has come in of
13:28a young girl
13:29who's been
13:30allegedly shot
13:30dead by her
13:31father.
13:32Deepak Yadav,
13:33according to
13:34investigators,
13:35visited his
13:36village in
13:37Haryana itself
13:37barely few days
13:39before this
13:40gruesome incident
13:40took place.
13:41Now,
13:41that's where,
13:42according to the
13:43police,
13:43there were some
13:43villagers,
13:44possibly some
13:45extended family,
13:46relatives,
13:46who started
13:47to reportedly
13:48taunt Deepak
13:49Yadav,
13:50the father,
13:51that he's not
13:51being a good
13:52father.
13:53Why would they
13:54say,
13:55when considering
13:55the daughter is
13:56such a young
13:56achiever already,
13:57that he's unable
13:58to control the
13:59beti,
14:00that he's not
14:01putting enough
14:02restrictions on
14:03her?
14:04This appears to
14:05have bothered
14:05her.
14:06Now,
14:06what kind of
14:06exact taunts
14:08were these?
14:08We don't have
14:09clarity,
14:09but this appears
14:10to have upset
14:11him deeply.
14:12he returns
14:13to Gurugram,
14:14asks the
14:15daughter Radhika
14:16Yadav to
14:16close the
14:17tennis academy.
14:19Radhika refuses
14:20to shut the
14:21academy because
14:22it appears that
14:22there were about
14:23two crore rupees
14:24that were spent
14:25on this tennis
14:26academy.
14:27The father gets
14:27upset.
14:28There is also
14:29the angle of
14:29the reels,
14:30the videos that
14:31she was allegedly
14:32being a part of
14:33or was trying
14:34to become an
14:35influencer.
14:36He repeatedly
14:36asks her then
14:37again to shut
14:38the academy.
14:38Why was he so
14:39concerned about
14:40the tennis
14:41academy that
14:41was being
14:42run?
14:43Then he
14:43isolates himself,
14:45clearly has
14:46gone through a
14:46mental turmoil
14:47and then gives
14:48a threat to his
14:49own daughter that
14:50he'll die by
14:51suicide if she
14:52does not listen
14:52to him.
14:54Clearly parental
14:54pressure escalating
14:56on this young
14:56woman.
14:57Radhika was,
14:58we were told,
14:59was cooking in
15:00the kitchen when
15:01shots were fired.
15:02These are what
15:02sources in the
15:03investigation agencies
15:04are telling us
15:05and I want to go
15:06back to Milan on
15:07that.
15:08Milan, a quick
15:09question on this
15:10as well that
15:11this appears to
15:12have triggered
15:12something, that
15:13there may have
15:13been tensions
15:14or perhaps a
15:16usual factor in
15:17families on how
15:18to have the
15:18future then
15:20charted out.
15:21But for a
15:21father to go to
15:22the village and
15:22come back, why
15:23is this angle being
15:24explored by the
15:24cops?
15:25And because a
15:25question that many
15:26people have asked.
15:27You're living in
15:27Gurugram, a
15:28cosmopolitan city.
15:30Why would you get
15:31so triggered and
15:31concerned by some
15:32village or relative
15:33taunting you about
15:34the daughter?
15:35Why wouldn't you
15:36take a stand as a
15:37father?
15:37Pooja, the
15:43question of
15:43reputation answers
15:45that because, you
15:46know, the
15:46reputation of the
15:48family is foremost
15:49and most important
15:50in most of these
15:52cases.
15:53Although, you know,
15:54the questioning of
15:55the father will go
15:56on, but prima
15:57fessie, it feels
15:58that the father
16:00was thinking that
16:01all this that the
16:03girl is doing is
16:04ending up ruining
16:05his honor or
16:06reputation in the
16:08society, in, you
16:10know, the
16:10community.
16:12And, of course,
16:12the girl wanted
16:13to go abroad.
16:14It is clear from
16:15the chats.
16:16There's a chat
16:17between her and
16:18her coach and
16:18she says, I've
16:19already spoken to
16:20my father and he
16:21has refused to
16:23let me go and
16:24there are a lot of
16:24restrictions and I
16:26can't come abroad.
16:28I'm trying.
16:29And, you know,
16:30these could be
16:31crucial details that
16:33could have led to
16:34an altercation.
16:35We don't want to
16:36make conjectures at
16:37this point, as you
16:38said, and which is
16:39why we'll wait for
16:40the official or
16:42source version from
16:43the police
16:44investigation agencies.
16:46But clearly, the
16:46post-mortem report
16:47there is not a
16:48conjecture.
16:49It shows that the
16:50father shot the
16:51daughter from the
16:53front and there are
16:54four bullet marks
16:55on the chest as
16:56opposed to the
16:57earlier statements
16:58that were coming
16:59forward where it
17:01was said that the
17:01bullets were fired
17:02in the back and
17:03the lower back.
17:04So that is a
17:06very crucial
17:06revelation and
17:08that puts a lot
17:09more questions into
17:10focus as to what
17:12happened and the
17:13two and two, you
17:14know, is not being
17:15put together here.
17:16Things don't add up
17:17in this particular
17:18investigation.
17:19Get Pooja.
17:19clearly what would
17:21then with some
17:22taunts coming in
17:24for a father who
17:25clearly invested so
17:25much in his daughter
17:27and then would go on
17:28to even murder her.
17:30She clearly felt she
17:31wasn't being allowed
17:32to explore further in
17:33her life.
17:34Milan, thank you very
17:35much for now.
17:35We'll also play some
17:37of the reports that
17:38Milan Charmai has sent
17:39from on the ground.
17:40But there are some
17:40questions that are
17:41unanswered and those
17:42big questions I want to
17:43now put on the screen
17:45for the viewers as well.
17:46What was the real
17:47motive behind the
17:49murder of Radhika
17:50Yadav?
17:51Was there a music
17:52video, reels or that
17:55she had a further
17:55ambition?
17:56She possibly wanted
17:57to get into acting,
17:58become a social media
17:59star and that led to
18:01her murder by the
18:02father.
18:03A family so invested
18:05in daughter's tennis
18:06career at one point
18:07of time but got
18:08triggered by some
18:10relatives, rishtidars,
18:11taunts in some
18:12village.
18:14But there's also an
18:15issue of finances
18:16here.
18:17Was he really
18:17dependent on the
18:18daughter's income?
18:20A three-story house,
18:21rental properties in
18:22Gurugram, can finances
18:23be a concern?
18:25And do Deepak Yadav's
18:25changing statements
18:26add to the mystery
18:28here?
18:29Amid all of this,
18:29remember the video
18:30that has surfaced.
18:31One video that's going
18:32viral and I must add
18:33here, someone,
18:35possibly Radhika
18:36herself or someone
18:37else, has deleted
18:38all her social media
18:39accounts according to
18:40the investigators.
18:42But there is one
18:42video, the one on
18:43your screen, has been
18:44going viral.
18:46And in that, she's
18:47seen acting with
18:48another co-actor,
18:50co-star in a YouTube
18:51video.
18:52Just a short while ago,
18:53I spoke with Radhika
18:54Yadav's colleague,
18:56friend, in Amul Haq,
18:57who's seen in these
18:58reels in the videos.
19:00Listen in to what he
19:01has to say because the
19:02question is coming in,
19:03was the father agitated
19:04because of these videos?
19:05I'm now joined for a special
19:10conversation with regard to
19:12one video that's been
19:13going viral in the Radhika
19:15Yadav murder case in
19:16Gurugram.
19:18Alongside the young
19:19achiever, you see a young
19:21male star as well.
19:22His name is Inamul Haq.
19:24Inamul is joining me right
19:25now on the phone line.
19:27Inamul, thank you for
19:28speaking to India today.
19:30Bohuthi disturbing
19:31incident that happened.
19:33In this moment,
19:35a video was also
19:36coming, the reels
19:37were being disturbed
19:38from his father.
19:40Before I want to know
19:41this, if you can
19:42elaborately tell me that
19:43when this video
19:45was shot?
19:46Because he was
19:47a tennis star.
19:48So what have you
19:49approached this video
19:50to make this video?
19:53Yes, I approached
19:54and my song is
19:57Carwa.
19:58Yes.
19:58The mother was
20:17alongside the daughter
20:19Radhika when the
20:20video was being shot
20:21completely, no problems
20:22at all.
20:24And this happened
20:25a year ago.
20:27Yeah.
20:281.5 years ago.
20:291.5 years ago.
20:30Yeah, 1.5 years ago.
20:31So you said
20:32about father
20:33because now
20:34this video
20:35was running
20:36that he was
20:37happy to be
20:38from the tennis academy
20:39and the videos
20:40that were being
20:40made, the scenes
20:43or the romantic
20:44relationship
20:45has been shown
20:45on the acting.
20:46So you felt
20:47disturbing.
20:49Did you feel
20:49Do you have any tension between father and daughter and father?
20:56First of all, I would like to say that Radhika was an unknown person for me and are still here.
21:02So, I just met him for the first time in a tennis team in the Punjab Tigers in Delhi.
21:09They told me that they were also acting and shocked.
21:14I told Radhika that his screen looks very good.
21:18I told him that something will happen, and I told him that something will happen.
21:22Then we approached him and he was shooting a song.
21:27First of all, I didn't approach him because he was shooting a song.
21:30I was not as an actor.
21:32When I was doing it, he was not doing it.
21:35The director told me that if you are your age and fit, please ask him.
21:41In that group, we had a casting group.
21:45I sent him a profile, so you can see him.
21:47Then there was a Zoom call with a director, Ali Ahmed, and that was final.
21:53After that, we had a shoot of songs.
21:56After that, I didn't know anything about what happened.
22:00I didn't promote it after that.
22:02One of our collab was accepted, but after that, it was deleted.
22:06I didn't do anything about this.
22:09You can see it as a movie.
22:10Yes.
22:11And I think in life, I only watched Radhika's face-to-face.
22:18One of my tennis scenes, one of my films.
22:20After that, I never saw them.
22:21Normally, I work with an actor.
22:24I have been working with a co-actress, so we also forget that we are working on TV and something else.
22:31So today I know that something has happened.
22:34And when Radhika did not promote the song after the release of the song,
22:38he had something uploaded to his dad's story that he didn't stay in the world.
22:43So I think that he didn't promote it.
22:47So I understand that.
22:49When will this video be recorded? How long have it been?
22:53That's why Radhika has deleted his account or deactivated it.
23:03And the footage, the process of my songs,
23:06if their account is open and you can see all the reviews,
23:11they are also working on the news.
23:14So now I'm just talking about my songs on the internet.
23:17That's why everyone is talking about the songs.
23:20This is the reason.
23:21That's why Radhika has told you that his family or father is not happy.
23:25That he wants to switch to tennis and acting,
23:28taking part in the videos?
23:30Or is there any tension in this kind of videos?
23:33I know that Radhika has told you that I don't have to do it.
23:37I don't have to do it.
23:38And I don't have to do it.
23:39I don't have to do it.
23:40If we are shooting so much,
23:42you want to do it.
23:43You can do it.
23:44Then we will do it.
23:45Then we will do it.
23:46After that,
23:47the cut-to-cut conversation,
23:49it's not that much.
23:50I don't know her mother's name.
23:53I don't know her mother's name.
23:54I don't know her mother's name.
23:55I don't know her mother's name.
23:56I don't know her father's name.
23:57After that,
23:59we didn't do any collab.
24:00It's possible that I don't have to do acting.
24:05I don't want to do it.
24:06And on the other hand,
24:07I also wanted to release the music video
24:08and re-release
24:09with a different actor
24:11because I didn't feel good at it.
24:14Okay.
24:15So, I had to archive it.
24:17I also activated it on my Instagram.
24:20You have a professional equation.
24:22This is also in private.
24:23You are saying that
24:24you had a professional equation.
24:26The producers, Zeeshan Ahmed,
24:28and others,
24:29did they know Radhika?
24:32No one knows.
24:33No one knows.
24:34No one knows.
24:35And the director,
24:36he's a senior.
24:37He's an ad with Shah Rukh Khan.
24:38He's an ad for our Hyundai.
24:40He's made a lot of ads.
24:42He was a very first music video.
24:43But he's an advertising industry
24:45in Delhi.
24:46Ali Ahmed.
24:47So,
24:48Zeeshan,
24:49who live in Canada,
24:51were my friends.
24:52They liked their songs.
24:54They liked their songs.
24:55They liked their songs.
24:56They liked their songs.
24:57They liked their songs.
24:58They liked their songs.
24:59They liked their songs.
25:00They liked their songs.
25:01They liked their songs.
25:03And they liked their songs.
25:04I don't feel comfortable
25:15that I'd shoot a song.
25:16Everything was done a month earlier.
25:17I didn't want to shoot a song until Wuhan.
25:18And they decided to shoot another year.
25:19It was extreme tuning in stores.
25:21Only I did do not shoot a long time earlier.
25:30Before this and after this, if you know that Radhika has other reels or other songs shooted by the police,
25:37there was a mistake from the tennis academy,
25:40and the videos and reels were given to him from his father to his village.
25:45What is he doing?
25:49I can say that it is a village or a city.
25:52If they say anything, they can say anything.
25:56People are telling me in the comments about this, without knowing anything.
26:00And many people think that when they make a reels, they have a lot of money.
26:06So, people see that the earning of their daughter, I think this is possible.
26:13Their followers weren't so much of their reels.
26:18And I can say that they didn't have any earnings on social media.
26:23In fact, we are normally collaborating with them.
26:26We have not paid anything for them.
26:27We have given them a convince amount.
26:29The ones who came along with their mother.
26:31Petrol is a normal good luck amount.
26:36When did you know that the death and murder happened?
26:41You are not in the country.
26:42You are in Dubai.
26:43Yes, I am in Dubai.
26:44Yes, I am in Dubai.
26:46I am in Dubai.
26:47I am in the phone.
26:48I have made many calls and messages.
26:51I am not in the country.
26:53You are not in the country.
26:55You are in Dubai.
26:56Yes, I am in Dubai.
26:58Yes, I am in Dubai.
27:02I am in Dubai.
27:03I am in Dubai.
27:04Okay.
27:05You are now in Dubai.
27:06I am, I am in Dubai.
27:07I am in Dubai.
27:08I am in Dubai.
27:09I am in Dubai.
27:10And I am in Dubai.
27:13No one can't wait to see that you are in Dubai.
27:15Did you call someone on the team?
27:18It was on the news channel, but there was no call from the police.
27:22And Zeeshan Ahmed, the director Ali,
27:27and they told me that I would shoot normally,
27:30and two years ago, there was a song that I did.
27:33So I met with four or five artists,
27:36so why are you asking me to ask me?
27:38The truth is that our whole team,
27:42we met the first time in Radhika.
27:45I met the second time in Radhika.
27:47Tell us about two times.
27:49Tell us about who was a girl, Radhika,
27:52young and an achiever already.
27:54She wanted to start a new start.
27:56What kind of personality do you have?
27:59I don't know anything about tennis or education.
28:04I didn't know anything about tennis.
28:06And they met me on the tennis team.
28:08There were many people there.
28:11When I was shooting my team,
28:13they saw the camera and said,
28:14they look pretty cute.
28:16And they also complimented them.
28:19Then they said,
28:20I want to work with ads.
28:22But if someone is doing tennis,
28:25like in sports,
28:26it will be a sharp mind.
28:28And I felt talented.
28:30Because if I thought,
28:32yes,
28:33yes,
28:34I will cast them.
28:35I felt talented.
28:36If not,
28:37I can't suggest anyone.
28:39I can't tell anyone.
28:41Because her name is bad.
28:43So,
28:44she is very talented.
28:45I think I'm doing this.
28:46I am very talented.
28:47I am very talented.
28:48And I have nothing that is doing.
28:49Because the question is on the name of this video.
28:52The other social media accounts are deleted.
28:55So,
28:56if you are asking questions,
28:57Do you want to say something about Radhika?
29:27No, it's definitely disturbing because it's a young girl allegedly killed by her father, but you talked about India Today. Thank you very much.
29:47What would catch the ire of a father who would go on to shoot his own young daughter? India Today's Milan Sharma is on the ground. She's giving us all updates from Guru Gram.
29:55She's in fact spoken to some of the relatives of Radhika and Deepak Yadav. Let's listen into that.
30:03Radhika Yadav was all filled with dreams. She was a tennis player. She got injured, but she wanted to pursue what she loved the most, running a tennis academy and becoming a social media influencer.
30:19But the family had other plans. Police sources say that Deepak Yadav was not in agreement of what Radhika wanted to do for her future and hence ended up taking this drastic step.
30:35He had invested about 2.5 crore rupees into her tennis playing and that kind of money only comes to a family when they are from a well-to-do background.
30:49Of course, as a father, Deepak expected her daughter to toe the line of the family's repute.
30:59It remains to be seen how Radhika's murder is being looked at by the extended family that has now come out in support of the grieving family at home.
31:15But this cold-blooded murder opens a lot of questions on whether social media influencing is such a taboo that families cannot accept their children going into it.
31:33And what could be the other reasons for a father killing his daughter in cold-blooded murder?
31:42In Gurugram, with Manish, Milan Sharma for India Today.
31:46How I was going to sit down for a while?
31:50How would you like to join the family?
31:52Well, because we're far from, it's a few times,
31:58there's no complaint in need.
31:59foreign
32:08foreign
32:11foreign
32:22foreign
32:27foreign
32:28We'll wait for the details to come out on this, especially as the police is investigating.
32:57But here's the big key takeaway.
33:00A family destroyed.
33:02A young girl's life, dreams, aspirations, all of that turned to dust.
33:07Because possibly some Rish Tadar, some villagers decided to taunt the father who could not distance himself from those remarks.
33:15All right, moving on now.
33:17Comedian actor Kapil Sharma's newly inaugurated Caps Cafe in Canada City was attacked by pro-Khalistan extremists.
33:24The customers and the staff were inside the cafe.
33:26The cafe was open at the time.
33:28Nobody sustained injuries in the attack.
33:30Kapil Sharma's team has released a statement expressing thanks to the fans for the support, solidarity and urging to stand against violence.
33:38Here's more in this report, what exactly happened and ground report.
33:40From a participant in a comedy reality show to hosting the most popular family show.
33:58And now with his own special on Netflix.
34:06My English.
34:07For much of the last two decades, Kapil Sharma has made people laugh and brought his audience's joy.
34:18Who would have then thought that he would have been the target of pro-Khalistani terror?
34:27Kapil's recently inaugurated cafe in Canada, Surrey, was targeted by pro-Khalistani terrorists.
34:34Unknown gunmen opened fire at the cafe from a car.
34:37They sprayed the glass facade of the cafe with bullets.
34:40Thankfully, nobody was injured.
34:42So I'm in Surrey, BC and here at Kap's Cafe, which was shot up last night as you can see.
34:50There's, you can see A, B, C, D, E, F, 8 or 9 bullets and then some glasses is fully shattered in.
34:59And you can see the glass on the floor here.
35:00So, this is a cafe owned by Kapil Sharma, who is a very, very famous Indian comedian, has a Netflix show, beloved by left, right.
35:10He's not a political guy and he's from, you know, Punjab.
35:15Now, what happened is last night around 1.50, a bunch of bullets were fired into here and the staff were still here, according to Surrey Police.
35:24Canadian police have begun an investigation into the case.
35:28Cops are scanning CCTV footages and gathering evidence to nab the accused.
35:33The responsibility of the attack has been claimed by Babak Khalsa terrorist Harjit Singh Laddi.
35:39Among NIA's most wanted terrorists, Harjit Singh Laddi has alleged that Kapil insulted Nihangs and demanded his apology.
35:46Social media.
36:16This is not the first time radicals have targeted Indian celebs in Canada.
36:23Earlier, AP Dhillon's residence, Prem Dhillon's house and Gipi Graeva's car were targeted
36:29all at different locations across Canada.
36:33In the wake of the recent attack, Mumbai police have increased the security of Kapil Sharma back home.
36:40But the question persists, will the change of government in Canada
36:44finally stop the free run of pro-Khalistani terrorists in the country?
36:49With Arvind Oja, Bureau Report, India Today.
36:55Joining me now, my colleague Sana Farzeen, who's tracking all the latest on that.
36:59Sana, what is the team of Kapil Sharma saying on this?
37:03The cops also, I believe, have visited them in Mumbai.
37:06What are you picking up as details?
37:08Absolutely, Pooja, the cops.
37:10But it was the local police that kind of visited Kapil.
37:12They wanted to first verify his address and they also kind of spoke to him
37:16if he's got any messages, mails, any threads apart from the incident that happened in Canada.
37:23It was just a regular protocol meeting.
37:26As of now, no senior officer has met Kapil.
37:30And after the discussions, they do plan to kind of scrutinize the situation
37:34and then plan on whether Kapil needs security in Mumbai.
37:38However, there have been a little beefed-up security at his home
37:43and even his set in Film City where he shoots for the Great Indian Kapil show.
37:49However, he is right now not shooting for the show.
37:52Kapil keeps shooting one episode every week.
37:56We've tried to get a clarification on the next schedule.
38:00However, his team is refraining from giving any official comment as of now.
38:04But they are absolutely sure that Kapil will not stop working
38:08as much as this incident has scarred his family and his fans.
38:13Kapil absolutely believes that he will continue to shoot,
38:17he will continue to work,
38:18and he would not let this incident deter his life.
38:22His family absolutely has been scared.
38:25His wife Ginny was actually personally involved when this cafe opened in Canada.
38:30She was the one who was in charge of it and that is why she is absolutely distraught by this incident.
38:37But you have sent out a good statement here from the team that
38:40they wouldn't be scared, they wouldn't be frightened,
38:42they will not shut shop, they will continue to work.
38:44That's perhaps a good stand to take against such extremist attacks or attacks at this restaurant.
38:50I appreciate you joining us, Sana.
38:51Thank you very much for now.
38:52I now have updates coming in from Uttar Pradesh.
38:55A web of money, manipulation and mass conversions.
38:58At the heart of it, a cell-styled godman.
39:01A shadowy 500 crore rupees trail stretching from Ayodhya to Kathmandu and even further ahead.
39:08In this next report,
39:09unravelling the explosive chain mail that has come in about foreign funding.
39:15A scandal that exposes about a conversion racket.
39:19Here's more.
39:22A covert empire of conversion, bankrolled by foreign cash.
39:29Nearly 500 crore rupees in shadowy funding has been traced to self-styled godman Changgur Baba.
39:37For three years, the money kept flowing.
39:41Out of this total, 200 crore rupees has been officially tracked and validated.
39:46But what's alarming is that agencies say that 300 crore rupees was routed through illegal Havala channels via Nepal.
39:57Investigations revealed that over 100 bank accounts were opened in Nepal's border districts,
40:01including Kathmandu, to facilitate this funding.
40:04These accounts, according to investigators, were funded by Muslim-majority nations like Pakistan, Dubai, Saudi Arabia and Turkey.
40:17Nepali agents took a 4-5% cut while transferring this money to Changgur Baba's network.
40:23In many instances, cash deposit machines were used to inject the money, leaving minimal traces.
40:30The epicentre of this racket was Ayodhya, where the largest volume of funds landed.
40:35Investigations are now underway into 40 bank accounts linked to Changgur Baba and his associates.
40:41Among the findings are 34.22 crores in 6 accounts of Naveen Rora, 13.9 crores in accounts tied to Nasreen, who is a close aide of Changgur.
40:54While the Congress has dismissed the case as a BGP-driven diversionary tactic,
40:59the Samajwadi party has called for a thorough probe,
41:02stressing that allegations of this magnitude demand a serious investigation.
41:06The government has called for a long-term,
41:36What started as whispers of a government's influence has now exploded in one of the biggest
42:03conversion-linked foreign funding scandals in recent memory? And Shankur Baba is at the center of it all.
42:11With Santosh Kumar, Bureau Report, India Today.
42:33Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, especially the Gulf nations from where crores of funding allegedly were
42:40coming in. Now it cannot directly come into India. So where does the money go? Look closely on your
42:45screen. In shell accounts in Nepal. So why are Nepal? Then it slowly comes into India and how?
42:53Over 100 accounts are then made and operated in Nepal's border districts. According to investigators,
43:00there were laborers, poor, underprivileged ones who would usually go to these nations,
43:06were then sent back either with cash or via their accounts that the transaction took place. It was
43:12deposited in their accounts. Kathmandu became one of those areas from where different parts. Look at
43:18that. Kathmandu, Nawalparasi, Rupandehi Banke. These were some of the areas in Nepal, in border district
43:23areas. And that is how the money then started to percolate down toward Uttar Pradesh, toward the
43:29ashram. So not a direct transaction, but via different accounts, over 100 accounts that were
43:34made. Nepalese currency that then was brought into India, exchanged with the Indian currency
43:41in Uttar Pradesh. Where did that happen? Look at the chain trail on your screens. Balrampur,
43:47Shravasti, Baharaj and Lakhimpur. There were agents who were delivering via transport or otherwise,
43:53these funds that were eventually then delivered to Shangur Baba by the agents. Agents, of course,
44:00got a certain commission as well, about 4 to 5 percent. And these were about changing hands so
44:06that you wouldn't be able to pinpoint exactly what the chain trail was about. And that reveals
44:13that it wasn't just him, that there was a full-on conversion racket that also was unfolding.
44:19From Balrampur, joining me, my colleague Santosh Sharma for the latest on that. Santosh,
44:25you are reporting from this, you have asked a very important question. What about the officers,
44:29administration, bureaucrats? This was going on for so many years. What is now being done
44:35to ensure that this mass conversion racket that is unfolding is immediately tackled with
44:41and how?
44:42Definitely, it is very alarming and for all of us that from the last 15 years, what the
44:51investigating agencies claim that from the last 15 years, Baba was running a racket of illegal
44:59conversion, merely 32 kilometers away from the Indo-Nepal border. That is the Balrampur
45:05Uttarala area. And from that Uttarala area, he was running a conversion syndicate. And in
45:11this syndicate, he converted more than 3 to 4,000 persons, those who were converted, whether
45:18by any threatening or any cause. But the administration, it is the police or the district administration,
45:27no one worried about this, what is going on in Uttarala, how this Baba who was few years
45:32back was selling rings and several stones on the streets of Balrampur, now become a millionaire.
45:41He is having a mansion in Uttarala area. He is having a cruise of valuable properties in
45:48Balrampur, Uttarala, in Mumbai, in Pune. Many more properties have each and every person
45:55in Uttarala. But no administration steps have been taken by any of the officers in the last
46:02few years before UPSTF started the investigation and ATS laws and FYR and investigators arrested.
46:10The first arresting was of Chhangur Baba's son, Mehboob and his close aide, Naveen Rohra,
46:16allies, Jamaluddin. And the second arresting was of Jamaluddin allies, Chhangur Baba and his
46:23close aide, Neetu Nasreen, who converted his name in Nasreen. So, till now, four persons
46:30till now arrested. And this doesn't, as Santosh you are telling us, look like a localized ashram
46:37or some conversion racket or issue. This looks like a full-fledged international involvement
46:43as well when we are talking about crores of rupees coming in from different countries and
46:47how it changed hands finally came into Uttar Pradesh. Thank you very much, Santosh. We'll be tracking
46:52all the latest. And for now, it's been caught, but we'll see what the developments have been.
46:57Moving on now, it's the month of Savan. The sacred pilgrimage of the Kavad Yatra is underway.
47:02Millions of devotees are set to take part. Security arrangements have been made. It appeared
47:07everything was going fine. But then, there was a certain section, and I reiterate, only a certain
47:13section from and among these pilgrims and devotees who are, however, indulging in instances of
47:20hooliganism, aggression. That's giving a bad name to the pilgrimage as well, especially in the belt
47:26of Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh. Remember, the pilgrimage has only recently started.
47:31A man was beaten up and his motorcycle damaged by a group of Kavad Yatras in Uttar Pradesh's
47:35Muzaffar Nagar, following what appeared to be allegedly a minor collision involving a two-wheeler
47:41and a coward. Another, you're looking at different areas. A ruckus broke out during the Kavad Yatra
47:48near Haridwar. That's some of these Kavadiyas clashed with a car driver on the Roorkee State Highway.
47:53They accused the driver of breaking a holy kalash that he hit it. Three people, though, now have
47:58been arrested by the police for assaulting the driver brutally. In a similar instance, a car that
48:04allegedly hit the Kavadiyas who were carrying water. They then went on to vandalize not only the car,
48:09but the occupants inside it. The driver was brutally assaulted by some of these devotees
48:16as well. This is not acceptable. It's a sacred pilgrimage. A lot of sacrifice goes into this
48:23yatra. Some of these so-called devotees are giving a bad name. It risks the security of citizens
48:30otherwise on the streets and it raises a pertinent question. Why are they indulging in this aggression
48:35and what are the police doing about it?
48:38When it comes to the police, this is my police. The ticket is also my police. The people
48:41are in charge of
48:44police. The police are on the street. The police are in charge of the police. My rod is
48:46called for assaulting them. Just to ask for it. So we have a problem. It's been under the
48:52zieacceptable. It's the Alguns. When it comes to those crimes, the police have taken the
48:53oda and then kicked the police in charge of our police. The police have taken the police
48:58Then they had to carry our boats on top.
49:01The police didn't do anything.
49:02They put it in the door.
49:03They said, we'll do it.
49:05We want to do that.
49:06We don't have any boats.
49:07We will stop this road.
49:11Let's hope in the days to come,
49:13there will be fewer instances of such confrontation and aggression
49:16being shown on the streets.
49:18Moving on now,
49:19this is a matter of pride and a good news coming in.
49:22Hindustan Unilever Limited has named Priya Nair
49:25as the next Chief Executive Officer, CEO,

50:57As we elevate our portfolio
50:59and lead with social-first demand creation,
51:02it's crucial that we win in existing channels
51:05and high-growth channels of the future.
51:09Priya Nair's stint in Hindustan Unilever began in 1995.
51:13For nearly 20 years,
51:16she held various roles across sales and marketing
51:18in home care,
51:20beauty and well-being,
51:22and personal care.
51:23In 2014,
51:24she took over the home care segment
51:26and six years later
51:27was given the responsibility
51:28of the entire beauty and personal care vertical.
51:32In 2022,
51:34Nair moved to the parent company
51:36where she appointed the global chief marketing officer
51:38and later the president of the beauty and well-being segment.
51:42Now she returns to India

51:58Known for her razor-sharp strategy
52:00and flawless execution,
52:02Nair reportedly follows two golden rules,
52:05blend insightful thinking
52:07with discipline delivery.
52:09In her words,
52:10dream big,
52:11but start somewhere.
52:13That is what she had to say
52:14to interns at Hindustan Unilever
52:16six years ago.
52:18We have a skewed view
52:20of the country in which we live
52:22because we are,
52:23in the end,
52:23all of you sit in this room
52:24in this nice hotel
52:25and therefore you belong
52:27to a privileged part of this country
52:29by the very fact
52:30that you got to come
52:31and do a summer internship
52:32in a company like this.
52:34You're super privileged, yeah?
52:36So I think the first thing HUL did
52:37was that it made me realise
52:38the real country in which we live.
52:41So I think,
52:41don't forget your privilege
52:42and why am I telling you
52:43all these stories of privilege?
52:44Because if you don't make any change,
52:46no one else is going to.
52:48Markets reacted sharply.
52:50HUL shares jumped
52:51nearly 5% on the news.
52:53There's hope that
52:54at a time of rising
52:55consumer expectations
52:56and aggressive competition,
52:58Nair's consumer-first mindset
53:00could define HUL's next chapter.
53:04Digital adoption,
53:06portfolio premiumisation
53:07and deepening India's rural reach.
