The body of 35-year-old Scott Timala Rambaran was found around midday on Thursday in a bushy area off Mausica Road South, Arima.


Rambaran, of Oropune Gardens, Piarco, had been missing since Tuesday evening.

00:00Officers from the Homicide Bureau and the North Central Division visited this scene
00:04after the discovery was made.
00:06Rambaran was employed at Harry Passard & Sons Ltd and was last seen by co-workers on Tuesday.
00:13He reportedly left work around 4.30pm, indicating he was going to pick up someone.
00:19He was believed to have travelled to Kelly Village and then to Oropoon to collect money
00:23from his wife.
00:25He then left again, reportedly in connection with the purchase of a vehicle advertised
00:29for sale on social media.
00:31That was the last time he was seen alive.
00:35Family members searched several areas including Karapo, Heights of Guanapo and the Oremo Old
00:40Road.
00:41A planned search in the Blanchiches area was cancelled when police contacted the family and directed
00:46them to the scene.
00:48Relatives indicated that Rambaran was involved in a planned vehicle transaction and that a
00:53man named Justin, who worked part-time at a straightening and painting garage, was acting
00:58as a middle man in the sale.
01:01He and Rambaran had reportedly test-driven the vehicle earlier in the week.
01:05The family was informed that Justin had later visited the Piaco police station with a lawyer.
01:10Rambaran is survived by his wife, a stay-at-home mother and their young daughter.
01:16Investigators have not yet released a cause of death or confirmed any arrests.
