00:00What happens is that within the formal setting of four-year undergraduate program or a postgraduate

00:06PG program, I mean by nature the programs are static in nature because these are basically

00:12developed over the years of, you know, where fundamentals of those disciplines are taught

00:16and the pace with which the changes take place, especially in the area of artificial intelligence,

00:23you know, IT related changes in the technology, it's very difficult, becomes very difficult

00:28to keep pace with the changes which are taking place and integrate that in the formal curriculum

00:34and therefore it becomes important that somehow we have to integrate these changes and also

00:39build the capacity not even the students who are part of the institution but for the outsiders

00:44also and people who are, you know, the working professionals and enable them to, you know,

00:50by giving the opportunities through which, you know, they can come irrespective of their

00:55age and respect of, you know, whether they are, you know, wherever they are working so

01:00that they are able to come and, you know, add value to their existing knowledge.

01:05So, I mean, this is the thought process which has gone in, you know, creating various centers

01:10and opening up of various departments also.
