00:31Now, today's lecture is about how Devil Summoners fight.

00:37They do far more than simply issue commands to demons in battle.

00:43I will explain in detail.

00:54Raido Kuzunoha takes on his enemies with a sword and a gun, in addition to his demon allies.

01:01In battle, he can summon up to two demons at once, which will automatically attack enemies with their combat skills.

01:09For demons to utilize combat skills, they must use the same energy they need to maintain their physical forms, magnetite, or mag for short.

01:18Raido can drain foes mag with light sword attacks.

01:22Strike a balance between them and heavy sword attacks, which deal greater damage, to defeat the enemies in your way.

01:30Each combat skill has an affinity.

01:33An enemy attacked with an affinity they're weak to will become stunned.

01:37Heavy sword attacks used on stunned enemies deal 50% more damage, while light sword attacks steal twice as much mag.

01:45These are called critical hits.

01:48Frequently exploiting weaknesses without running out of mag, and knowing when to use different sword attacks.

01:55As a Devil Summoner, it's important to not only command demons, but to execute sound judgment in the heat of battle.

02:02But these aren't Raido's only techniques.

02:10Devil's Bane both deals incredible damage and steals mag.

02:15It can be executed when you have thrown the enemy off-kilter, such as by landing a string of attacks or performing a perfect dodge.

02:22Additionally, Raido's spirit increases depending on the actions he or his demons take in battle.

02:30Once it has been maxed out, he will be able to unleash the powerful Spirit Slash.

02:35This attack ignores all resistances and inflicts massive damage to every enemy on the field.

02:44It is a fearsome move, operating in tandem with your demon allies.

02:48Be sure to include it in your battle strategy.

02:53This time, Raido can learn new skills of his own by enhancing his sword.

02:57You can forge new blades by fusing a weapon with demonic materials in a process known as Sword Alchemy.

03:06Forgeable weapons come in one of three categories.

03:09Sword, Spear, and Axe types.

03:12Their primary differences lie in their respective heavy attacks.

03:16Forging Swords also enables Raido to learn special abilities called Summoner Skills.

03:22There are two main types of Summoner Skills.

03:25First are Active Skills, such as Pyro Sign, a powerful long-range fire attack.

03:32Magnetize, which restores mag.

03:36And Empty Wave, which sweeps the area and inflicts great damage.

03:41Second are Passive Skills, which grant beneficial effects automatically when set.

03:47Raido's Active Skills can be switched out at any time, even in the midst of battle.

03:52Adjusting your skills and adapting to the situation will be key to attaining victory.

03:59Developing both your demon allies and Raido himself will be crucial to becoming a powerful Devil Summoner.
