Memorial service held on anniversary of 7/7 bombings

A memorial service was held at St Paul's Cathedral to mark the 20th anniversary of the 7/7 London bombings which killed 52 people and injuring hundreds more. Addressing the attendees of the service, the Dean of St Paul's Cathedral Andrew Tremlett said: "We come to honour the memory of those who died, to stand by the survivors and to give thanks to those who responded with courage and compassion." 00:15inflicted on our city on this day 20 years ago.

00:21Together with friends from many other regions and nations,

00:25we continue to commemorate a moment in time that left deep scars in the soul of our capital.

00:35We come to honour the memory of those who died,

00:39to stand alongside the survivors,

00:43to give thanks for those who responded with courage and compassion,

00:47and to renew our shared commitment to peace, justice and reconciliation.

00:54Jesus said,

00:58So have no fear of them, for nothing is covered up that will not be uncovered,

01:05and nothing secret that will not become known.
