00:00This is Gopal Khemka, a prominent Patna businessman who was shot dead by unidentified

00:04backbone assailants on 4 July 2025, six years after his son Gunjan Khemka was killed in

00:09a similar way.

00:10The incident took place near the Panash Hotel in the Poshkandi Midan area of Patna.

00:14Khemka was stepping out of his car around 11.40pm when gunmen opened fire and fled the

00:19scene.

00:19Gopal's brother Shankar Khemka has alleged police apathy, claiming that officers arrived

00:24nearly three hours later at around 2.30am.

00:26He stated that Gopal was returning home when he was attacked and no help came despite the

00:31gravity of the crime.

00:32Responding to the allegations, senior Patna police officials said that they are investigating

00:36all angles and reviewing CCTV footage from the area.

00:39A bullet and a shell have been recovered from the scene and the crime site has been secured.

00:43This isn't the first tragedy for the Khemka family.

00:45In 2018, Gopal's 38-year-old son Gunjan Khemka was shot dead in broad daylight outside his
