Tesda kicks off WorldSkills Asean Manila 2025  The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) kicks off the hosting of WorldSkills Asean Manila 2025 in Pasay City on July 4, 2025. Tesda Secretary Jose Francisco Benitez said the event would showcase the entire ecosystem of technical and vocational education to more Filipinos. 00:50The expectation, of course, is a greater awareness of TECVOC as a whole.

00:55But again, as I said kanina, kailangan natin palakasin ang ecosystem ng TECVOC.

01:03Kasi dadami at dadami ang mag-e-enroll.

01:08Ngayon pa lang dumadami na at lumalakas na ang demand ng TECVOC.

01:11So, kahit na parang nasa isip natin na mayroon pa rin, ano ba, dihado pa rin sa paningin ng ating mga kababayan ng TECVOC.

01:21Sa totoo lang, maraming nakakaalam at nakakaintindi na kailangan nila ng skills para maging mas maganda ang kanilang trabaho.

01:30So, kailangan nilang mag-upskill at mag-reskill dahil sa pagbabago sa world of work.

01:36So, I don't think that the increase in TECVOC enrollment per se is something that the world skills will generate

01:49because I think that's happening already even without the world skills.

01:54But what this does is to show the entirety of the ecosystem of TECVOC and to allow it to become a well-oiled machine, kumbaga.

02:06Isang ecosystem na comprehensive, systemic, at siguro ang pinakamagandang pwedeng ipakita ay ang pag-sinasabi natin na skills.

02:18Ang dami hong klase ng skills na nag-uumpisa sa low kind of skills.

02:23So, sa pinaka-high na klase ng skills, lahat ho yan nandito sa WorldSkills Asia.
