00:00The Samal Solar Renewable Energy Project in Bataan was formally opened for the additional 41.92 megawatts of clean and sustainable electricity in the Luzon grid.

00:12According to the Department of Energy or DOE, the renewable energy will not just provide clean power but also give employment and capacity building.

00:20At the same time, the government is calling for a stronger public-private partnership to expedite the shift to renewable energy.

00:28The DOE aims to reach 35% share of renewable energy by the year 2030.
