00:21Both sides met for the 13th round of China-EU high-level strategic dialogue in Brussels on Wednesday.
00:28The EU is trying to stabilise ties with China amid US President Donald Trump's tariff war.
00:34But tensions with Beijing continue to rise.
00:37Kayakalas urged China to lift restrictions on rare-earth exports
00:41and warned that Chinese support for Russia's war in Ukraine threatens European security.
00:46Wang pushed back, insisting that Beijing and Brussels should treat each other with respect,
00:51while taking a swipe at Washington, which has threatened sweeping tariffs on EU imports.
00:56The visit comes just weeks ahead of a planned summit between Chinese President Xi Jinping
01:01and top EU leaders in Beijing.
