00:00This man celebrating his girlfriend's birthday died after a speeding car crashed into a restaurant in UPS Haapur on June 30.

00:06After dinner and cutting a birthday cake, Ajit Pal and his girlfriend Akansha stepped out of the Dhaba gate for a stroll

00:12when a car allegedly lost control and hit them, police said.

00:15Four people were hit, Akansha, two tourists and Ajit Pal, who succumbed to his injuries on the spot.

00:20A staff member said that the driver tried to flee but was briefly caught by bystanders before escaping.

00:25An FIR has been filed, the family alleges this wasn't an accident but a planned attack.

00:31They have pointed to CCTV footage and suggested links to an old rivalry or a love triangle.

00:36Two local men, Zeeshan and Kaif, have been named by the family.

00:39Police say the matter is under investigation.
