00:08do you usually try to fix them yourself or just give up and take them to a shop
00:14well don't toss them out just yet today i'm going to show you a quick and easy way to glue
00:20the saws back on strong clean it actually lasts with just a few simple tools we'll bring those
00:26kicks back to life like nothing ever happened so grab your glue hit that like button subscribe
00:35and ring the bell because we're about to save some sneakers let's go this shoes glue got damaged from
00:46water and long-term use so it's totally normal that the sole came off but don't worry when it
00:52comes to your favorite shoes i don't recommend using super glue like 502 sure it sticks fast
01:00but it's not made for shoes over time it can become brittle crack and actually make things worse
01:07not to mention it can leave behind ugly white marks and damage the material especially if you're working
01:15with leather or fabric so if you really care about your kicks let's do it the right way with a proper
01:20glue strong flexible and clean before we glue anything we need to remove all the old glue completely
01:31use some sandpaper to gently rub off any leftover glue
01:34why because if you try to stick new glue on top of the old it just won't hold well the bond will be weak
01:56uneven and your shoe might come apart again
01:59all the excess glue and roughing it up a bit this helps the new glue stick better
02:15and gives you a cleaner stronger bond
02:17all right now we're getting the fun part making our own glue to fix the shoes yep you heard that
02:26right we're not just grabbing any store-bought stuff we're gonna mix up a strong flexible adhesive that
02:32works perfectly for sneakers and the secret ingredient baking soda yep this humble kitchen staple is going
02:40to help us create a super strong adhesive next up gasoline
02:50we're using a bit of gasoline not for fuel but as a key ingredient to make our glue workable
02:55and last but not least foam regular packing foam the kind you usually toss away is actually the final
03:14ingredient in our super glue mix when you dissolve foam into gasoline it turns into a thick sticky rubber
03:20like substance perfect for bonding shoe saws
03:30now it's time to prep the foam i'm going to cut it into small pieces the smaller the better
03:36this helps it dissolve faster and mix more evenly with the gasoline
03:44just take your time and slice it up into little chunks
03:48once we got enough we'll drop them into the gasoline bit by bit and watch the magic happen
04:07you'll see it start to melt and turn into a thick sticky glue right before your eyes super satisfying
04:25use a wooden stick or an old spoon to gently stir the mixture keep adding foam until the gasoline thickens
04:32into a sticky stretchy glue kind of like melted cheese
04:40this part takes a bit of patience but it's totally worth it you're aiming for a texture that's thick but
04:46it's still spreadable not too runny not too lumpy
05:00there is no too much
05:06it's nothing much
05:07it's not a good time
05:10it's just a little bit of patience
05:12it's not a good time
05:14it's not a good time
05:15you're trying to make the new car
05:17it's not like that
05:20it's not a good time
05:23I'll try now
05:25you're going to jump into the water
05:27Let's go.
05:57Once the foam is fully dissolved, we got a nice thick glue.
06:27It's time for the final touch, baking soda.
06:30I'm adding just one spoonful into the mix.
06:35This little bit of powder is going to boost the strength of our glue like crazy.
06:40It helps the mixture set faster and makes the bond even tougher.
06:53Perfect for something that takes as much stress as a shoe sole.
06:56Get a good stir to blend everything together.
06:59And just like that, our homemade super glue is ready to go.
07:14Alright now that our homemade glue is ready, it's time to bring this shoe back to life.
07:19Using a small brush or a stick, I'll apply a generous layer of glue to both the sole and
07:24the bottom of the shoe.
07:26tell you how that flew.
07:29If you want ahold of the glue, add a lot of conscious glue.
07:32AlanοΏ½ of the glue.
07:34I didn't divide the part out.
07:37And this is my modifier, and I think it's parameter.
07:44Well, definitely, if you've gone with Assad comuns, I'll order to move the happy fiance and pepper.
07:47I really want to go to another one.
07:59The next one I will put in the hole
08:04I will just put in the hole
08:09Again, the next one is the hole
08:12Make sure you coat the entire surface evenly, especially around the edges, where shoes tend
08:33to peel the most.
08:37Once both sides are covered, I'll wait about one to two minutes of glue to become tacky.
08:42That's the sweet spot for bonding.
08:51Now I'll press the sole and upper together firmly, really squeeze it in from toe to heel.
09:01I'm going to press the sole and press the sole and turn it on.
09:11I'm going to press the sole and use it to make it.
09:19You can use clamps, rubber bands or even just wrap it tight with some string or tape to
09:44keep pressure on while it cures.
10:11There you go!
10:18There you go!
10:24It's a bit like a stick, it's a little bit like you could use a stick.
10:30Let it sit like this for at least 12 to 24 hours
10:59for the best results.
11:11By the way, I also tested this glue on wood, and let me tell you, it's seriously strong.
11:17I used it to bond two wooden pieces together.
11:36I used it to bond two wooden pieces together, and I used it to bond two wooden pieces together.
11:52I used it to bond two wooden pieces together, and I used it to bond two wooden pieces together.
12:07I used it to bond two wooden pieces together, and I used it to bond two wooden pieces together.
12:22I used it to bond two wooden pieces together, and I used it to bond two wooden pieces together.
12:37I used it to bond two wooden pieces together, and I used it to bond two wooden pieces together.
12:52I used it to bond two wooden pieces together, and I used it to bond two wooden pieces together.
13:07Monon Noboli
13:13Yeah!
13:14Soft glue
13:15It's done
13:16It's done
13:19It's done
13:21Let's go.
13:51Just like you would with regular glue, and after dry completely, the joint was rock solid.
14:14After 24 hours, it felt almost like epoxy, hard, durable, and no flex at all.
14:19I even tried prying a part, and it would crack before the glue did.
14:24This stuff doesn't just stick, it fuses.
14:27So if you're into DIY woodworking or small repairs, this homemade glue can definitely hold its own.
14:33Just remember, give it enough time to fully cure, and you're golden.
14:37Don't rush this part.
15:06The longer it cures, the stronger the bond.
15:10And there you go.
15:16From a broken, floppy sole to a solid, clean, and ready-to-wear sneaker.
15:21All done with DIY materials and a bit of patience.
