00:00Here's some relationship math. The lower the maintenance, the higher the disrespect. The higher the tolerance, the lower the maintenance.
00:07You ever realize that by being easygoing in life, you haven't been met with like-minded people, but instead people who like that they don't have to keep you in mind.
00:14So you meet more people who are comfortable disrespecting you, disregarding you, devaluing you, betraying you, burdening you, belittling you, putting you on a back burner, berating you when you do address a concern or a need.
00:27Okay, people who are okay not honoring their commitments when it comes to you, not being intentional about the relationship altogether, and just don't consider you, even are okay excluding you.
00:37You may ask yourself, well, why? I'm so easygoing, right? I don't burden people with my needs. However, I'm willing to meet other people's needs. I'm reliable. I'm intentional. I'm supportive. I'm dependable. I'm caring. I'm authentic. I'm loyal.
00:49So why is it I'm being met with the opposite? This week on a podcast episode, I talk about easygoing, being a very interesting love language you may be operating in, which is garnering more people who love you less.
01:01Okay, so what's the solution? Well, first of all, you recognize your inherent value isn't based on what you were willing to offer and what you're willing to tolerate.
01:07Okay, if you're good enough to take from, you're also good enough to give to. All right, remember that you are not just a participant in your relationship, you're also a product of.
01:15In the bare minimum, it's not optional, including in friendships. Recognize the difference between people who are willing to learn how to treat you versus the ones you have to constantly teach for some reason.
01:26All right, remind people that they may not have to earn your love, but they will earn losing access to you. It's just information.
