The Malayalam Film Producers Association has announced a strict new policy requiring all actors, actresses, and technicians to sign a declaration promising not to use any banned drugs on shooting sets or at their place of stay. This resolution was passed during a recent meeting in Kochi.
Starting from June 26, which marks the International Day Against Drug Abuse, this new rule will be enforced alongside salary agreements. If violated, the responsible individual must compensate the producer for any financial loss caused. Official letters have already been sent to the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) and the Film Employees Federation.
