Dia pernah dipenjarakan.
00:52For many years, he was sentenced to death, threatened to be sentenced to death, accused of many things.
01:02And his famous statement was that he was willing to give his life for the principle of freedom.
01:12But the greatness of Nelson Mandela, when he got out of prison, he worked for reconciliation with his former enemies.
01:26So this is the greatness of Nelson Mandela, and this I try also to carry out in my domestic politics.
01:35I reconciled with many of my former opponents.
01:43for instance, we had a very long rebellion, separatist rebellion in Aceh. Very long.
01:52I think more than nearly 30 years.
01:56But can you imagine that the former commander of the Aceh Liberation Army fighting against us for 25 years, more.
02:10Now, he joined my party. He's in my political party.
02:17And he's now governor of Aceh, and I'm president of Indonesia.
02:22This shows that former enemies can come together.
02:29And I think this is the lesson of Nelson Mandela.
02:34I want to say I was a former soldier.
02:41And as a former soldier, I really know the value of peace and reconciliation.
02:49As a former soldier, I always try now, even before, I always try to negotiate.
03:00Negotiate, negotiate, negotiate.
03:03Better to talk than to kill each other.
03:07This is my position.
03:11Always talk, always negotiate.
03:14President Putin, on a more practical question concerning the crisis in the Middle East.
03:25Now, we will talk about Ukraine in a while.
03:27But the current crisis, it touches on geopolitics, energy.
03:32And it has repercussions that go beyond the parties involved in the struggle.
03:41Is it a test for how the South can play a role in, you know,
03:49mending defenses between both countries in putting some good imagination around the solution,
03:56architecting a solution that can be acceptable by two parties that are fighting, you know, head to head?
04:03Is this a test for what you are proposing and trying to create as, you know, political weight for the South?
04:16Yes.
04:17I think that this is quite possible.
04:18And the practice that is real for many countries, many countries.
04:28Sometimes it can be difficult, but it can be difficult for many countries with Israel and Iran.
04:34And it will bring the foundation to think and hope that the global South,
04:39in general, and the countries that can influence on this process.
04:44Because the phase of the conflict is over.
04:49When the crossing is over.
04:50I think that the position of the country to emphasize that we were in one country,
04:56that the country to really address the situation.
05:01When we say that the United States and that that the country,
05:04we are not able to mitigate the peace of the country.
05:06So what and what we say is that the United States,
05:08that the United States and the United States,
05:09that we are a great way to live.
05:11untuk pemberkayaan satu sisi energi atom Iran.
