00:10in L.A.

00:11before holding a press conference

00:13and spewing lies

00:15and utter nonsense

00:17in an attempt to provoke division

00:19and conflict in our city.

00:22This is consistent

00:23with the provocation from Washington

00:26that began two weeks ago

00:27when our city was calm

00:29and many millions of Angelenos

00:32were going about working

00:33and contributing to our city.

00:35The provocation has resulted

00:37in lives disrupted,

00:39terror and fear spread

00:41throughout our city.

00:43And businesses were empty,

00:45owners were suffering,

00:48and describing this situation

00:49as worse than COVID.

00:51Just think for a minute

00:52how profound that is.

00:54He accused state leaders

00:57and myself as mayor of this city

00:59of encouraging violence,

01:01of seeking mobs

01:03on ICE officers.

01:05But let me just tell you,

01:07like yesterday,

01:08what happened at the Dodgers?

01:10We're not sure

01:10who these armed men are.

01:12They show up without uniforms.

01:15They show up completely masked.

01:18They refuse to give ID.

01:20They're driving regular cars

01:21with tinted windows

01:23and in some cases

01:24out-of-state license plates.

01:26Who are these people?

01:31Mr. Vice President,

01:33how dare you disrespect our senator?

01:38You don't know his name,

01:41but yet you served with him

01:42before you were vice president,

01:44and you continue to serve with him today

01:46because the last time I checked,

01:48the vice president of the United States

01:50is the president of the U.S. Senate.

01:52You serve with him today,

01:54and how dare you disrespect him

01:56and call him Jose.

01:58But I guess he just looked like anybody to you.

02:01Well, he's not just anybody to us.

02:03He is our senator.

02:05And it's just really sad

02:07when our economy,

02:08I mean, obviously,

02:09we've had the issues in the city,

02:11and to have this unenforced error.

02:15I mean, there was just no need

02:17for this to happen.

02:19And unfortunately,

02:21the last two weeks,

02:22you've seen a huge dip

02:24in different sectors of our economy

02:27for this unnecessary experiment

02:29and unnecessary stunt.
